WWE NXT REPORT: WHO IS THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER?, STORM VERSUS RIPLEY, MATCHES FOR NEW YEAR'S EVIL, AND MORE

Dunne puts Kyle's head on the turnbuckle and Dunne with kicks from the apron.  Dunne with forearms to the jaw.  Dunne with a front face lock and he sends Kyle into the turnbuckles with a front face lock suplex.  Kyle with a dragon screw leg whip in the ropes.  Kyle and Dunne fight on the apron by the turnbuckles and Kyle pulls Dunne into the turnbuckles.  Dunne pulls Kyle into the turnbuckles.  They continue to pull each other into the turnbuckles.  Both men fall down and back into the ring.  Dunne with a knee to the head and Dunne with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Dunne with a hammer lock and he stomps on the head.  Dunne with a cross arm breaker while the other arm is in a hammer lock.  Kyle gets to the ropes to force a break.

Dunne goes for a Gotch piledriver but Kyle counters and applies a cross arm breaker.  Dunne with an ankle lock and Kyle counters with an ankle lock of his own.  Dunne with a body scissors and double wrist lock.  Kyle with a choke.  Dunne with a head butt and Kyle goes down.  Dunne goes for a power bomb but Kyle escapes and counters with a brainbuster.  Kyle with a knee to the midsection and a kick followed by a forearm.  Kyle with a running knee into the corner as Dunne's mouthpiece falls out.  Kyle with a Regalplex for a near fall.  

Dunne grabs for his mouthpiece and Kyle stands on Pete's hand.  Kyle stomps on the hand but he misses a kick.  Kyle with a knee bar but Dunne is able to counter into a triangle.  Dunne tries to pulls at the fingers but Kyle blocks it.  Dunne with a triangle and Kyle escapes.  Kyle with forearms to Dunne.  Kyle with a kick to the jaw.  Dunne with a round kick and enzuigiri but Kyle tries to rebound in the ropes.  Dunne stops Kyle and he pulls at the fingers and kicks Kyle in the chest.  Dunne sets for the Bitter End on the apron but Kyle counters with a DDT to the floor.  Kyle with a knee drop off the turnbuckles to the back of the neck for the three count.

Winner:  Kyle O'Reilly

Rhea Ripley is in the back and McKenzie Mitchell asks Rhea about her confrontation with Raquel Gonzalez.  Raquel backed off last week but she didn't during War Games when she had people behind her.  She says Raquel is different when she is alone.  Toni says that she is not the same Toni Storm from NXT UK.  It doesn't matter if it is the new Toni Storm or the old Toni Storm, but she is the same trash she knows.  She will end this one way or another.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the latest from Xia Li and Boa.

Xia is crying as she works a punching back.  Boa asks for the attacks to stop.  Xia kicks and punches Boa.  Xia punches Boa in the head many times.

Match Number Four:  Indi Hartwell (with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Austin Theory) versus Shotzi Blackheart

They lock up and Shotzi with a take down.  They lock up again and Shotzi with a waist lock and Indi with a standing switch and take down.  Shotzi runs Indi into the top rope and Shotzi with a drop kick.  Shotzi with kicks  and she stomps on Hartwell's leg and follows with a knee drop to the shoulder.  Shotzi with a hammer lock using the leg and works on the other arm.  Shotzi with a hammer lock and kicks to the head.  Shotzi with an enzuigiri and running back senton but does not fully hit it.  Indi with a back elbow and she gets a near fall.  Indi with a full nelson and she sends Shotzi to the mat and gets a near fall.  Shtozi with punches and Indi with a knee.

Indi gets Shotzi on her shoulders but Shotzi gets to her feet.  Shotzi with a boot and splash into the corner.  Shotzi with forearms and then she sends Indi into the turnbuckles.  Shotzi with a running back senton in the corner.  Shotzi with a drop kick through the ropes to knock Indi off the apron.  Candice gets on the apron and Austin gives Indi the trophy and she hits Shotzi with it and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  Shotzi Blackheart (by disqualification)

After the match, Indi kicks Shotzi and Candice joins in the attack.  Candice with Wicked Stepsister to Shotzi.

Karrion Kross says that he promised he would become the NXT Champion and everyone would suffer.  Doomsday is coming.  God help the obstacles in his path.  Tick Tock.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video for Bronson Reed and he will return next week.

Match Number Five:  Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) versus Desmond Troy

Kross with a take down and forearms to the back of the head.  Kross sends Troy into the turnbuckles and hits a splash.  Kross with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner.  Kross with an exploder and round kick to the head.  Kross with the Doomsday Saito suplex and he follows with the Kross Jacket and Troy taps out.

Winner:  Karrion Kross

Kross tells Priest time's up because at New Year's Evil, your ass is mine.  Tick Tock.

Isaiah Scott is asked why didn't he shake Jake Atlas' hand.  He says people are blowing things out of proportion.  He says he gets frustrated when he loses, especially to someone like Jake Altas.  Jake is good, but I have honed my craft longer.  I talked to William Regal and there will be a rematch next week.  This time, a different result.

Ever Rise shows up and Matt asks if McKenzie saw what happened last week.  That was a handicap match and the match was wiped from the record book.  They are still undefeated and they are coming for Goldberg.  McKenzie asks Matt if they are looking for a rematch.  Chase says they are not looking for matches, they want to be heard.

We go back to Art School with Dexter Lumis and we find out that Dexter Lumis is the host of New Year's Evil.

Toni Storm walks in the back.

Rhea Ripley also walks in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back with Finn Balor.  He says that Kyle proved he wasn't the underdog and that he belongs in the main event.  You broke my jaw and you still lost.  What is next for you?  You suffer.  At New Year's Evil it isn't Finn versus Kyle II, it is Finn Balor versus Kyle O'Reilly . . . The End.

We are told that Damian Priest will face Karrion Kross at New Year's Evil.

Match Number Six:  Rhea Ripley versus Toni Storm

They lock up and Storm backs Ripley into the ropes and gives a clean break with a pat on the shoulders.  They lock up and Storm with a side head lock.  Rhea tries to send Toni off the ropes and Toni holds on to the side head lock.  Rhea with punches and Storm tries for a shoulder tackle but Rhea stays on her feet.  Rhea with a shoulder tackle and Storm with a series of near falls.  Storm with an Irish whip and Rhea floats over.  Rhea and Toni exchange near falls with rollups.  

Rhea with a front face lock and Storm with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Rhea with a chop and Toni with a chop of her own.  Storm with a chop to the back.  Ripley with a head butt and a double chop to the back when Storm flinches.  Ripley with short arm clotheslines and a back heel kick.  Ripley gets Storm on her shoulders but Storm sends Rhea to the apron.  Storm misses a shoulder and Rhea pulls Storm to the apron.  Storm backs Ripley into the ring post and kicks her off the apron

We go to commercial.

We are back and Storm with a reverse chin lock.  Ripley with punches and Storm sends Rhea to the mat but misses an elbow drop.  Ripley with a boot to the head followed by a back heel kick.  Ripley with knees to the head followed by a snap mare and drop kick.  Ripley sends Storm face first into the mat and gets a near fall.  Ripley goes for RipTide but Storm with an elbow.  Ripley with a boot to the back.  Storm and Ripley with a head butt at the same time and both women are down.

Ripley and Storm exchange punches.  They go back and forth.  Storm misses a clothesline and Ripley with a drop kick for a near fall.  Ripley with boots to the ribs and then Ripley with an inverted cloverleaf.  Storm rolls through and sends Ripley into the ropes.  Storm with a sliding forearm and German suplex for a near fall.  Storm sends Ripley into the corner by the hair and she does it again.  Storm misses a running hip into the corner.  Ripley gets Storm on her shoulders and Ripley drops Storm onto teh turnbuckles for a near fall.  Ripley with a series of leg drops for a near fall.  Ripley goes for RipTide but Storm gets to the ropes and Raquel holds Storm on the apron.

Ripley kicks Storm off the apron and Gonzalez is sent over the ringside barrier.  Storm is sent back into the ring and Gonzalez pulls Ripley off the apron and Raquel sends Ripley into the ring post.  Storm with a running hip and Storm Zero for the three count.

Winner;  Toni Storm

After the match, Gonzalez and Ripley have a stare down.
