We are back with a look at what happened at the start of the show with the reveal of Drew McIntyre's next opponent for his title.
Ric Flair is in the ring and he says his daughter was injured. When she comes back, Nia Jax you are going to wish you live in another environment. You are going to be in a lot of trouble.
Ric turns his attention to Randy Orton. Ric says people ask him who is the greatest performer in the business today. It is not arguable. Everyone wants to be the best but only one can be. Today it is Randy Orton. Last week, in a 24 hour period, he took Edge and Christian and punted them into retirement. Randy is the apex predator and he is the greatest. Ric wants to tell him in front of everyone.
Ric says that Randy Orton is the most dominant and most vicious performer in WWE. Ric says that Randy is the greatest performer in the history of the WWE.
Randy thanks Ric for the words. It is nostalgic that they are in the ring together. They are half of Evolution. Sometimes, nostalgia can be confused with legacy. It was nostalgic that you showed that you were the dirtiest player in the game. It was nostalgic that he punted Christian for wanting one more match. It was nostalgic for what he did to Edge. To be called the Legend Killer again, is not nostalgic. It cements his legacy. In two days, he became the greatest wrestler and he euthanized two men in Christian and Edge. Randy says him and the voices in his head are loving hearing him being called the greatest.
Big Show makes his way to the ring and he says that is enough.
Show says he will not let Flair glamorize what Randy did to his friends. You are going to pay for what you did. Show says that Randy has been a narcassistic parasite since day one. Now you are using Ric Flair, a man he once respected. You have latched on to competitors who made you better, like Edge. You lack the self discipline and motivation to be better. You don't care about Edge and Christian or their families. Once you get what you want, you leave the host to die. We know that Edge isn't done and Edge will pay you back for everything that you have done.
Edge won't have the satisfaction of doing it alone. This pissed off Giant is going to break every bone in your body.
Randy says Show is not going to touch a hair on his head because Flair paved the way for him. You are not going to touch a hair on my head because we came up together. Randy says he is impressed with what Show has achieved. You are a future Hall of Famer. Some might say,that you are a legend. Randy says he didn't expect that kicking two of your friends in the head would make you react this way, but it would be a shame for you to end up the same wawy.
Show tells Randy to square up but Orton leaves the ring. He says he gave you a shot. Look at what he has done and you know what he is capable of. Randy says he is focused and motivated. What happens next is on you.
We take a look at what happened last week when Bayley and Sasha Banks were challenged by The Iiconics.
Match Number Five: Bayley and Sasha Banks versus Peyton Royce and Billie Kay for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Billie with a kick to Sasha for a near fall. Peyton tags in and Bayley trips Peyton and Bayley sends Peyton into the announce table. Sasha with a knee to Billie and Bayley tags in and they send Billie into the turnbuckles. Bayley with an arm bar and Bayley knocks Peyton down on the apron. Billie hits Bayley and Peyton tags in while Bayley hangs in the ropes and Peyton connects with a knee to the head.
We are back and Billie and Bayley with punches.Bayley with an elbow in the corner and Bayley with shoulders in the corner. Bayley mocks the Iiconics with a pose and hits an elbow in the corner. Billie with a kick and knee. Peyton tags in and hits a fisherman's suplex for a near fall. Sasha sends Billie to the apron and sends her to the floor. Sasha is sent to the floor. Bayley with punches to Peyton. Sasha tags in and they hit a double slam for a near fall. Sasha sets for a suplex and hits it. Sasha holds on and hits a second one. She holds on and goes for the third but Peyton lands on her feet and Sasha is sent into Bayley. Peyton with a rollup for a near fall.
Sasha kicks Billie away and Sasha with the Banks Statement and Peyton taps out.
Winners: Sasha Banks and Bayley (retain championship)
After the match, Bayley says they are so good and that is what you expect from the Boss and Bayley Dos Straps.
Sasha says she knows that Bayley is Bayley Dos Straps but Sasha says she is a little jealous. She loves seeing Bayley happy but she wants to experience that too.
Sasha says she wants a title match.
Bayley looks confused.
Sasha says she is officially challenging Asuka for the . . .
Raw Women's Championship.
Asuka's music plays and she makes her way to the ring.
Asuka speaks in Japanese and she says that you are not the boss of me. I accept.
Bayley attacks Asuka from behind and Sasha joins in on the attack. Asuka fights back but Sasha with a lungblower into the Banks Statement.
MVP and Bobby Lashley are in the back and Sarah asks Bobby about his attack R Truth. Lashley says he should be the WWE Champion. MVP says Apollo Crews could use some help. He says what he saw Apollo do against Shelton and he does not know why Crews is going to face Shelton again. Apollo can make the right decision and be as great a US Champion as MVP was.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Liv Morgan is walking in the back and Ruby Riott stops her.
Liv says not tonight. She says things have not gone her way and she doesn't need Ruby making things worse. Liv walks away.
Montel Vontavious Porter is in the ring for the VIP Lounge.
MVP welcomes the man who could be his newest client, Apollo Crews.
Porter says this feels right having the US Champion in the VIP Lounge. You said that if you weren't a fighting champion, you wouldn't be a champion at all. When you beat me to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank match, it made him respect Apollo. Then you blew out your knee and forfeited your spot in the ladder match. You need someone to help you navigate those bad decisions. This title is your opportunity to give your daughter the life she deserves.
Apollo says he got here without any help from you. I almost lost my career to get this title. Apollo says the answer is still no.
MVP says Apollo can be one of the greatest. You don't have to defend the title every week. You can hold the title for a long time if you listen to him.
Crews asks who is going to attack him tonight. He says he has been dealing with people like you all his career. Crews says he won't let the title change him.
MVP tells Crews to do this for 343 days, not 3 weeks. I was nice two times. There won't be a third time. Whether you like it or not, the title is coming home where it belongs.
Shelton Benjamin comes to the ring and MVP wants to speak to Cres. Benjamin attacks Crews from behind and Crews is sent into the ring post. He tells Crews not to be vulernable in a two on one situation.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Six: Apollo Crews versus Shelton Benjamin in a Non Title Match
The match is joined in progress and Crews with a forearm. Benjamin with an Irish whip and Benjamin with a slingshot knee to Crews. Benjamin gets a near fall. Benjamin kicks Crews and then sends him shoulder first into the turnbuckles. Crews goes for a standing moonsault but Benjamin traps Crews with an arm bar submission. Benjamin and Crews go over the top rope to the floor. Crews sends Benjamin into the ring post. Crews with a kick and toss power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Apollo Crews
After the match, MVP tries to raise Crews' arm but Crews refuses. Bobby Lashley attacks Crews from behind and applies the full nelson.
Rey Mysterio is in the back and Dominick shows up and Dominick asks if he is sure. Rey says they are going to show the Monday Night Messiah how the Mysterio family rolls.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rey Mysterio and Dominick Mysterio make their way to the ring.
Rey says one of the most terrifying thing that can happen as a parent is not get a hold of their child. Last Monday, I tried calling you several times and I couldn't get in touch with you. It scared the hell out of me. When I found out where you were going, I didn't feel much better. Not even the most confident father expected their son to get out of a three on one situation, but you did. For that, I am proud of you. I am angry because you put yourself at risk. Mom was worried. You know the risks you take every time you walk in this ring. You know I am pissed off at what Seth Rollins did to me. Seth almost tried to blind me and I can accept that.
You may be bigger than me, but I am your father. Since you fought for me, it is time for me to fight for you. I got this one. I need to get revenge on Seth Rollins, but I need to do it myself.
Dominick says he understands where Rey is coming from, but he isn't going anywhere. Dominick says this is what a family looks like and this family wants a fight.
Seth Rollins' music plays and he makes his way to the stage.
You want a fight, well you are putting your Monday Night Messiah in a difficult position. Do I go to the ring and slaughter a father in front of his son? Do I go to that ring and make you watch while I sacrifice your boy. I don't know what to do. It isn't up to me. It is destiny and fate. You are in the same place at the same time. Two eyes are better than one.
Seth makes his way to the ring at a slow pace and then he drops down to his knees.
Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory come up behind Seth but Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo attack Murphy and Theory. Dominick with a few punches to Murphy and Black with a knee. Carrillo kicks Theory to the floor. Carrillo with a twisting plancha onto Murphy and Theory. Rey with a 619 to Seth and then Seth is sent into the ringside barrier.
Dominick and Rey try to drive Seth's eye into the stairs but Murphy and Theory make the save.
Seth grabs Dominick and tries to send his eye into the stairs but Humberto has a chair and Seth, Buddy, and Austin leave the ringside area.
