By Mike Johnson on 2018-08-25 17:29:00

They announced a Sunday 10/14 return to the 2300 Arena.

We are now at intermission!

WOMEN OF HONOR

Jenny Rose & Tenille Dashwood & Stella Gray vs. Ashley Vox & Riley Shepherd & Kris Stadtlander

All action.  Rose and Shepherd started out.  Dashwood nailed a neckbreaker through the ropes.   Gray got snapped down hard from an Electric Chair position.  Dashwood used the Tarantula.  Lots of near falls.  Dashwood finally scored the pin with a dropkick.

HOUR THREE:

Flip Gordon vs. Chris Sabin vs. Shane Taylor vs. Shaheem Ali

Good. Well-paced action.  Sabin and Flip started out, battling back and forth.   Flip hit a big tope con hilo to the floor on everyone.  He nailed a big springboard missile dropkick on Taylor and scored with another in the corner.  He tried to deadlift Taylor but he was too big.  Gordon was spotlighted early, but then the spotlight shifted to Taylor’s power.    Sabin hit some nice moves off the top.  Ali got to be the one to lift and nail Taylor with a Samoan Drop.  Ali hit a great tope into the aisle.   He was elevated and dropped with a big right hand by Taylor.     Ali scored the win but was attacked by Tayor.  Gordon made the save.  Gordon and Taylor faced off after, so that may be a future singles bout.  Flip was super over.

ROH TV Champion Punishment Martinez vs. Aaron Solow.

The story of the bout early on was that Solow used his speed and finesse to have Martinez off balance.  He even sent Martinez over the top to the floor.  On the outside, Punishment gained control and drilled him into the guard rail.

Martinez brought him back into the ring.  Solow tried to take the fight to him with several right hands but Martinez swatted him down.    Martinez hit an over the shoulder powerslam and followed up with right hands.  Martinez scored several two counts.

Solow came back with a superkick and clotheslined Martinez over the top to the floor.  He nailed a tope con hilo.  Solow came off the top but was caught for a chokeslam.  He maneuvered out and hit a forward roll for a two count.

He continued nailing a series of hot offensive moves and nailed a suplex, scoring a CLOSE two count.   Martinez boxed his ears and and drilled him with a curb stomp.  He smashed him with an evil chokeslam and scored the pin.

Your winner and still ROH TV Champion, Punishment Martinez!

An effective, competitive bout.  Solow had a good showing here and Martinez looked very good and did a great job giving him a lot.  Martinez continues to impress.

Coast to Coast (LSG and Shaheem Ali) vs. The Kingdom (TK O'Ryan & Vinnie Marseglia).

All solid back and forth action.  Marseglia nailed a punt kick on Ali and he was worked on for some time until LSG made the hot tag.   The Kingdom cut him down and methodically tagged in and out as they worked him over.   Coast to Coast came back and scored the pin. I think the length of the taping is starting to wear on the crowd a little as reactions were way down.

Shane "Hurricane"  Helms vs. Marty Scurll.

Huge reaction to Marty Scurll.   The crowd was super into this even before they locked up.   They did some back and forth action with Scurll getting the early advantage before Helms popped up and he backed off a bit.  Helms began “Hulking Up” and did the entire bit until Scurll cut him off with a superkick to below the knee.  Helms returned the favor.

Helms nailed a jawbreaker and scored a two count.   Helms went for the People’s Elbow but was smashed with a forearm.  He went sent to the floor where Scurll nailed a tope.  The crowd went crazy for this because they were so into Scurll.

Back in the ring, Scurll nailed a big stomp.  Helms battled back but was caught with a suplex for a two count.  The crowd chanted for Scurll.  Marty stomped and stood on Hurricane, then did his pose to mock him.

They faced off and exchanged punches.  Scurll caught Helms and scored several two counts but Helms kept kicking up.   Scurll went for what looked like a tornado DDT off the apron but Helms blocked it and nailed an overhead throw on the floor.  They recovered on the floor and faced off from opposite sides, then climbed in the ring and met center ring with a series of forearm smashes.  Helms scored with an inverted DDT for a close two count.

Marty scored with several two counts.  Helms went for a move but Scurll blocked and nailed a DDT for a two count.

They battled to the top.  Scurll nailed a superplex for a two count and followed up with a superkick.   He called for and went for the crossface chickenwing.  Helms avoided it but bumped into the referee, who was turned around and missed a low blow, which scored Scurll another two count.

They went into a series of near falls.  Helms attempted the vertebreaker but Scurll avoided.  He didn’t avoid being rolled up and pinned, however.

Your winner, Shane Helms!

The crowd popped and chanted for Hurricane, then chanted for Marty as he left.
