By Mike Johnson on 2018-08-16 16:22:00

ROH International Cup: Joe Hendry vs. Adam Page.

Page disrespected Edinburgh and Hendry at the bell.  Hendry played hometown hero who kept Page off balance early on, to the point Page went to the floor to stop it from happening.    They had a nice back and forth babyface vs. heel bout.  They went to the floor, where they sent each other into the ringposts.  Hendry missed a clothesline but caught Page with a DDT.  Hendry nailed a right hand and then a neckbreaker.   He followed up with another clothesline for a two count.  Page nailed a German suplex and went to the ropes, where he missed a moonsault.  Hendry nailed a fall away slam.  Hendry locked on an anklelock and caught Page with a German suplex.  He went for another but Page reversed and they went back and forth until Page caught him with a superkick.  They battled and forth until Page nailed the Rite of Passage for the pin.

Your winner, Adam Page!

The Semi-Finals tomorrow will feature Mark Haskins vs. Flip Gordon and Adam Page vs. Jimmy Havoc.

ROH Champion Jay Lethal vs. Adam Brooks.

They started out strong with Brooks and Lethal going back and forth.  Lethal hit his trifecta of dives to the outside.  Brooks battled back but was hit with a hiptoss and a dropkick to the face.    Brooks booted him to the face as he rebounded.  Jay went to the apron but avoided a dive.  Lethal kicked him but Page smacked him with the middle rope.  Page stomped his ears.   Brooks worked Lethal over but that only angered and fired up the ROH Champion.  Lethal fired up with forearms and right hands.  Banks battled back.   Lethal charged but was kicked in the face.  Lethal came back with a Torture Rack.  Lex Luger would be proud.  Lethal went to the top for the flying elbowdrop.  Page caught him with a forward codebreaker as he came off the ropes.  Lethal caught him with an inside cradle for a two count.  They went back and forth, garnering two counts.  Lethal locked on a figure four leglock in the center of the ring.  Brooks fought his way out and came off the ropes, catching Lethal and flipping him into a Canadian Destroyer.  Lethal was bounced right out of the ring to the floor, where he was almost counted out.   Lethal returned but was nailed with a double knee strike off the ropes for a close two count.   Brooks attacked him and went to the top turnbuckle.  He came off the top but Lethal pulled up his knees and scored a two count with a crucifix.  Lethal nailed the Lethal Injection and scored the pin.  Good, competitive match.  Brooks showed a lot.

Your winner, Jay Lethal!

The Young Bucks & Marty Scurll vs. Punishment Martinez & The Briscoes.

Lots of posturing early on.  Crowd was giving it to the Briscoes a lot before the bell.  The Bucks and the Briscoes go back and forth before Martinez is tagged in.  He called Scurll to come in and Marty finally obliges.  Martinez drills him down.  He goes for a chokeslam but Martinez grabs his fingers to try and snap them.  The Bucks knock the Briscoes to the apron and hit stereo pescados to the floor.  Martinez was nailed with a superkick by Scurll.

Everyone battled.  It settled down into the Briscoes tagging in and out, working over Marty.    Marty finally tagged out to one of the Jacksons and it was time for the Young Bucks show.  The Bullet Club triple-teamed Mark Briscoe with several big moves but Jay broke it up.  Martinez got involved but was hit with a triple superkick.  Mark tricked Nick into kicking his own brother.  The Briscoes double teamed Nick for a close two count.  Everyone battled  Scurll nailed a big piledriver on Martinez.   Scurll stomped on Mark's hand and snapped his fingers.  Marty locked the chicken wing on him.  The Bucks superkicked Jay and Martinez away.  Scurll scored the win.  Fun main event.

Your winners, The Young Bucks and Marty Scurll!
