Your host is Renee Young and she is joined by Booker T, Peter Rosenberg, and David Otunga.
They run through the matches on the pay per view.
Charly Caruso is in the back and she brings up the tension for the first dual brand pay per view. She mentions the issues between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura asked for a locker room on the other side of the arena from AJ so he would not have to interact with him before the match. She mentions that Daniel Bryan has been cleared to compete to face Big Cass tonight. He says it will be size versus skill and height versus heart.
Charly mentions that Kurt Angle and Paige will be sitting down together to answer questions tonight.
We have a video package for the Samoa Joe versus Roman Reigns match.
Renee asks whether Roman has to establish himself. Booker points out he was not the champion even if he may have hit the ground first. Otunga mentions that Brock never touched the floor so Roman is the uncrowned champion. Peter says there is a lot of pressure on Roman Reigns. He says that Joe sees Roman as weakened. Booker says you only have so many chances before you go to the back of the line. He says Joe will prove himself tonight. Renee says Joe is poised to get back to the top if he can win. Booker says that Joe is the "Ultimate Fighter" and he will cash in.
Peter and Booker choose Joe but Otunga goes with Roman Reigns.
We take a look at the Daniel Bryan versus Big Cass match with a video package.
Renee asks about where Cass compares to other opponents. Peter says Cass is bigger. Renee asks if Bryan can get Cass into a submission hold. Booker says Bryan can do all of the moves, but this is not the same Daniel Bryan. Cass is looking to go out and dismantle Daniel Bryan. Otunga asks everyone if they remember what Daniel has gone through. Renee agrees with Otunga. Peter says he does not wish pain on Daniel Bryan.
Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel run through the list of wrestlers they can join forces with. They talk about Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal. Miz shows up and he says Daddy's home. He appreciates the mind games that Bo and Curtis are playing on Seth Rollins. Miz says it was on the set of The Marine 5 when he knew Curtis and Bo were on the path to greatness. Miz brings up the great memories. Miz says they had some great times and that is why he is so happy that the band is back together so they can do it all again tonight against Seth Rollins.
Miz says they are up first so they need to go.
Bo says they are not the supporting cast in his story any more.
The panel talks about the situation with Miz and the MizTourage. Peter wonders why would they give up the chance to be with Miz. They talk about Seth not wanting to be like Miz and need help. Otunga mentions that Miz has had a lot of help when he won titles.
Peter is picking Miz while Otunga and Booker choose Rollins. Renee also picks Miz.
We have a video package for the Smackdown Women's Championship Match.
Renee mentions that Charlotte has beaten Asuka at Mania so even without the title, she is at the top.
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay interrupt Peter and say that is enough chit chat about the Women's Title Match. Billie reminds everyone that they beat Asuka in her first match on Smackdown. Peyton asks Billie to remind everyone of that. They say they are better than Asuka.
Renee asks them about the Smackdown title match. Billie says it feels like she has met Peter before. Peyton does her impression of Peter. Peyton says she is interested in the title match because they like Carmella. Billie says she is Maj. Billie says Backlash could possibly become ICONIC.
They leave and Renee asks for picks for the match. Peter says Carmella is the Floyd Mayweather of the WWE because she finds a way to get it done. Otunga says Carmella did not beat a 100% Charlotte Flair and she cannot do it. Booker also picks Charlotte.
Bayley is getting ready in the locker room and Sasha stops by. Bayley says she is done fighting with Sasha and she would like Sasha in her corner against Ruby. Sasha wants to know where was Bayley last week when she needed help. Sasha refuses. Bayley says that Sasha is so full of herself. She can take care of Ruby Riott on her own and she has taken care of Sasha by herself. Bayley says she was offering an olive branch for Sasha to get revenge on the Riott Squad but if Sasha wants to be pig headed.
Sasha tells Bayley she is on her own.
Renee brings up the Strowman and Lashley versus Owens and Zayn match.
Booker says they are a pair of monsters. He tells Zayn and Owens to prepare to make their money. Peter says he is excited to see Sami and Kevin get these hands. Booker says that Braun and Bobby are a Molotov cocktail ready to explode. Otunga says that Kevin and Sami will have some tricks in their bag.
We have a video package for the Raw Women's Title Match
Renee brings up how petty Alexa is by calling Nia a bully. Peter says he loves Nia and she can be a hero to so many people. Alexa always takes the title back and he thinks it will happen tonight. Booker says it is time to unleash the beast for Nia. Nia is unstoppable at this point. Otunga says Nia is building her confidence and that is why Alexa is playing the mind games.
Renee asks for predictions. Booker picks Nia as well as Peter and Otunga.
We go to Paige and Kurt Angle for some questions.
The first question is for Kurt's dream opponent. Kurt says he would choose Daniel Bryan since he has wanted to wrestle him for 5 years.
They are asked what is the hardest part of being General Manager and how did Paige feel about getting Absolution on Smackdown. Paige says that Absolution needed to earn things and not get thinks handed to them. Kurt talks about taking advantage of their opportunities.
They are asked what match will steal the show tonight. Paige says she is looking forward to AJ Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura as well as the Charlotte Flair versus Carmella match. Kurt says he is looking forward to Nia Jax versus Alexa Bliss and Samoa Joe versus Roman Reigns.
Match Number One: Ruby Riott (with Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan) versus Bayley
They lock up and Bayley with a wrist lock. Ruby with a hammer lock but Bayley with a side head lock take down. Ruby sends Bayley into the mat. Ruby with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Bayley with a sunset flip for a near fall. Bayley with more rollups for near falls. Ruby with an Irish whip but Bayley with an elbow and arm drag into a bridge and near fall. Ruby with a punch.
Ruby sends Bayley into the turnbuckles as we see Sasha watch from the back. Bayley with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Ruby sends Bayley to the apron when she charges into the corner. Sarah distracts Bayley and then allows Ruby to hit an STO that sends Bayley to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Ruby with a side head lock but Bayley with elbows. Ruby with a flatline and elbow followed by a knee for a near fall. Ruby with a rear chin lock and knee in Bayley's back. Bayley gets to her feet but Ruby sends Bayley into the turnbuckles. Ruby chokes Bayley in the ropes and Logan with a forearm while the referee was dealing with Ruby and Ruby gets a near fall.
Sasha still watches the match from the back.
Bayley stops Ruby from sending her into the turnbuckles and Bayley with snake eyes. Ruby sends Bayley into the turnbuckles and gets a near fall. Bayley with punches but Ruby with a cravate. Bayley with an escape but Ruby sends Bayley into the turnbuckles. Bayley goes to the apron and connects with a forearm. Bayley with a double jump cross body for a near fall. Bayley with clotheslines and a Saito suplex.
Bayley with a baseball slide to Logan but Logan catches her. Bayley with a head scissors to Logan on the floor. Bayley drops Ruby on the top rope and then she goes up top and hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Bayley is sent into Liv Morgan on the apron and Ruby with a boot and Riott Kick for the three count.
Winner: Ruby Riott
