IWGP U.S. Championship First Round match: Juice Robinson vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
The story was Zack's speed and grappling trying to cut the ring off while Juice used his power and strength. Juice went for a suplex but Zack grabbed his arm and snapped it. Sabre took Robinson down and started tying him up and stomping the tricep. Robinson began favoring his arm as Zack drilled him across the chest with a hard kick. Sabre took him down and tied up his wrist, then stomped his elbow into the mat.
Zack continued to control wrapping himself arounf Robinson by scissoring himself around Robinson and using a double hammerlock. Robinson tossed him into a suplex and slammed him down. Robinson nailed a cannonball into the corner. They went back and forth. Sabre almost scored the pin with the Backlund Bridge for a two count.
Sabre began arrogantly kicking and slapping Robinson, who psyched himself up to his feet and fired away with chops. Sabre fired back with a chop to the neck. Juice used his leg to chop Sabre down. Sabre caught him with a flying armbar into a cross armbreaker. Sabre turned it into a triangle choke and fired away with punches and elbows. Robinson refused to tap and muscled Sabre up and powerbombed him down.
Sabre fired off with a Mafia Kick but Robinson drilled him with a punch. Sabre maneuvered around him like a spider monkey and locked him in an Octopus variation, working to keep Juice from the ropes. Finally, Robinson submitted.
Your winner, Zack Sabre Jr.
Very good match with Robinson showing how strong he has become in the ring while Sabre got to showcase his mean streak and his technical mat wizardry. Fun stuff.
IWGP Intercontinental champion Hiroshi Tanahashi & IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion KUSHIDA & Jay White & David Finlay vs. Yoshitatsu & Billy Gunn & Yohei Komatsu & Sho Tanaka
Komatsu and KUSHIDA started out going back and forth with some good action. Finlay tagged in and looked very good. KUSHIDA was worked over for some time. Gunn tagged in and was booed just getting into the ring. He stared down Tanahashi for a moment to tease their match tomorrow. KUSHIDA finally fought back and worked over the Tempura Boyz. He neutralized them but was cut off by Gunn before he could make the tag. He fought back and Tanahashi was tagged in.
Despite his torn bicep, Tanahashi took the battle to Gunn. Gunn caught him on a cross body and hit a Fall Away slam. He teased the Famouser but was caught with a clothesline. Jay White nailed the tag. He cleaned house until YOSHTATSU caught him with a rolling kick. White caught him with a half nelson suplex into the buckle.
They went into a sequence where everyone hit big moves, leading to Finlay and White double teaming TATSU for a two count. White finally nailed the Flatliner DDT for the pin.

OK match.
They are at intermission. On the broadcast, they are airing a long video feature on Cody Rhodes vs. Kazuchika Okada. They then previewed the second half of the show.
IWGP Tag Team champions The Guerillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa vs. War Machine, Ray Rowe & Hanson
Ray Rowe took the mic before the match and said the G.O.D. brought weapons into their match in Osaka when War Machine tried to fight with honor. They requested a NO DQ match. They began brawling before the bell after Tama Tonga nailed Ray with the mic.
All four brawled around ringside. Hanson teased a dive but was nailed with a trash can as he hit the ropes. Guerrillas worked over War Machine with trash cans and lids. They double teamed Rowe in the ring. Rowe was whipped into the buckles and nailed with a running clothesline. They continued beating down Rowe and scored several two counts. Hanson tagged in and hit a series of clotheslines in opposite corners on the Tonga brothers. Hanson missed a Bronco Buster.
The two teams faced off. War Machine muscled Tonga with a powerslam. The Guerrillas of Destiny continued the beating on Rowe. Loa hit a top rope headbutt followed by Tonga hitting a splash for a two count. Rowe made a comeback, hitting a nasty looking Uranage on Loa, who crashed down on Tonga. Hanson hit a powerslam for a two count.
Chase Owens got involved, hitting Rowe with a chair and then tossed a few in for the Guerrillas to use. They powerbombed Rowe through the chairs, which were facing each other, for a two count. They brought a table into the ring and continued beating down Rowe, trying to wear him down so they can use the table. Hanson made the save and Owens hit the ring with a chair, only to be wiped out by a running knee by Rowe. Hanson hit a big dive to the outside on Tonga.
Towe began wiping out Loa with a big suplex and a running knee. He set up the table to use it on Loa. War Machine hit the Fallout through the table and scored the pin.

Decent brawl.
