We are back and Randy Orton is in the ring and he is sitting in the middle.
We see Orton giving Aiden an RKO during the commercial break.
Randy says he is not leaving the ring until he gets what he wants. He throws the chair out of the ring and he reminds us that he tore into the WWE Champion last week. We take a look at what happened unless you missed it, or forgot.
Randy says that pales in comparison to what he is going to do to Jinder if he does not get what he wants and that is a title match. You may ask why does Randy deserve a rematch? If he does not get it, he will go into the back and find Jinder and beat the holy hell out of him. After the show, he will beat the holy hell out of him in the parking lot. Then he might bump into Jinder tomorrow. If that does not do the job, next week, in whatever city they will be performing in, he will get there early and beat the holy hell out of Jinder.
Randy says it looks like he is going to the back to kick some ass.
Before he can do any ass kicking, Shane McMahon's music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Shane makes sure to do the Shane-O Shuffle when he gets into the ring.
Shane reminds Randy they go back a long time and they are live in San Diego. Randy cannot threaten the safety of the WWE Champion.
Randy asks Shane if he is going to fire him and he tells Shane to fire him. Randy says he will buy a ticket in every building and risk being arrested because Jinder disrespected him in front of his family. Shane can do the easy thing and give him a match or he can do the hard thing.
Shane says the Singhs crossed the line at Money in the Bank, but you have done similar things in the past. Shane says he has never seen that look in Randy's eye. Shane says he can empathize with Randy and Randy has his rematch. Randy will face the WWE Champion at Battleground and there will be a stipulation. Jinder Mahal will get to choose that stipulation.
Randy says he does not care what the stipulation is because the title is coming home.
Jinder Mahal's music plays and he comes out with the Singhs.
Jinder says this is exactly what is wrong with Smackdown and management. This is what is wrong with all of you people. Jinder yells at Randy in Punjabi and he says that you support a snake like Randy Orton and he does not deserve a title match. Due to the prejudice and bias against him, he will announce a match made by a giant among men and his personal hero, the Great Khali. The name Battleground, it is fitting because it will be you and me locked in a Punjabi Prison Match.
Daniel Bryan is on the phone talking about the Punjabi Prison Match and AJ Styles enters. AJ asks about the open challenge and whether it should be the first one to come down.
Kevin Owens enters and he says it is just like an American to complain behind his back. Kevin explains the challenge is for people who he has never beaten. Kevin calls AJ a loser.
AJ makes an Anchorman reference and Kevin wants to know what it means.
Daniel explains to Kevin what an Open Challenge means and he says that John Cena had an Open Challenge. Daniel says next week there will be an Independence Day Battle Royal and the winner faces Kevin Owens at Battleground.
AJ asks if he is in the match and Daniel says he is in it.
Charlotte Flair is getting ready in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back and Mike and Maria Kanellis come out with the Power of Love.
Maria introduces herself and she says she is the first lady of Smackdown. Mike introduces himself as Maria's Husband . . .
Sami Zayn interrupts and he makes his way to the ring for his match.
Match Number Three: Sami Zayn versus Baron Corbin
They lock up and Corbin with a forearm in the corner and then he sends Zayn into the ropes but Zayn leaps over Corbin and hits a head scissors. Corbin with a knee and he sends Zayn into the turnbuckles. Corbin misses a clothesline and Zayn punches Corbin. Corbin goes to the floor and Zayn sets for a plancha but Corbin moves to the other side of the ring. Zayn with a pescado but Corbin catches him and Corbin hot shots Zayn onto the ringside barrier.
We go to split screen.
Corbin sends Zayn into the ringside barrier. Zayn is sent into the ring and Corbin follows. Corbin with a hard Irish whip. Corbin backs Zayn into the corner and punches him. Corbin with another hard Irish whip. Corbin sends Zayn over the top rope but Zayn stays on the apron and Zayn with a punch and shoulder. Corbin is sent into the turnbuckles. Zayn tries for a springboard move but Corbin stops Zayn with a punch and Sami lands hard on the apron. Corbin with a bear hug.
Zayn with a boot when Corbin charges into the corner. Corbin with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Corbin returns to the bear hug. Corbin with a forearm to the back and then he sends Zayn into the ropes a second time and connects with another forearm. Zayn with a clothesline when Corbin goes for a third forearm to the kidneys. Zayn with a punch but Corbin with an Irish whip. Corbin slides to the floor but he misses the clothesline when he comes back into the ring. Corbin runs into the corner and misses Zayn and hits the ring post. Zayn with a cross body for a near fall.
We see Shinsuke Nakamura watching in the back on the monitor.
Corbin with a punch and a clothesline in the corner. Corbin with a second clothesline into the corner. Corbin misses a third charge and Zayn with a near fall on a rollup. Corbin runs Zayn into the turnbuckles and he puts Zayn on the turnbuckles. Corbin climbs as well. Corbin gets knocked off the turnbuckles but Zayn leaps over Corbin when Baron moves. Corbin with End of Days for the three count.
Winner: Baron Corbin
We go to the back where Shinsuke Nakamura continues to watch from a difficult angle. He is asked if he would like to have a match against Baron Corbin.
Nakamura says Baron Corbin is very dangerous but Baron fears what Nakamura can do. Maybe it is right that Corbin is afraid.
We go to commercial.
We are back and there is going to be a Rap Battle next week on Smackdown. Happy Birthday America.
Match Number Four: Charlotte Flair versus Carmella versus Natalya versus Becky Lynch versus Tamina Snuka in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Becky forces Carmella to the floor and then Natalya kicks Becky to the floor. Charlotte and Tamina fight to the floor. Carmella gets a ladder and brings it into the ring but she takes her time to set up the ladder. Carmella climbs the ladder but she takes her time and Natalya, Tamina, Charlotte, and Becky enter the ring and they look at Carmella while she freezes on the ladder. Carmella is sent to the floor. Tamina tries to climb the ladder but she is pulled off. Tamina is sent to the floor. Becky avoids a double suplex after Charlotte and Natalya give her a double drop kick. Becky with an Exploder to Natalya and then to Charlotte.
Becky tries to set up the ladder but Tamina pushes the ladder over and Becky hits it. Tamina with a Samoan drop to Becky and then she goes up top and hits a Superfly Splash.
We go to commercial.
We are back and everyone but Charlotte is down on the floor. Charlotte sets up the ladder and Natalya stops her. Natalya with a suplex after pushing the ladder into the ropes. Natalya kicks Carmella and Carmella punches Tamina. Tamina blocks a thrust kick and Tamina pushes Carmella over the announce table onto JBL. Charlotte chops Natalya and throws her to the floor. Becky with an Exploder to Natalya on the floor. Charlotte kicks Tamina but Tamina with a forearm to the back. They fight over the ladder and then they each connect with forearms. Tamina punches Charlotte. Becky climbs the ladder held by Charlotte and Tamina but they push the ladder onto the ropes. Becky looks at the case and Tamina kicks Becky off the ladder onto Charlotte.
Charlotte kicks the ladder into Tamina and Natalya with a discus clothesline to Charlotte. Natalya pushes a ladder into Charlotte and Charlotte is down in the corner. Natalya sets up the ladder and climbs it. Natalya slowly climbs and Charlotte puts the ladder against the bigger ladder and she meets Natalya on top of the ladder. They exchange forearms. Carmella pushes the ladder over and Charlotte and Natalya hit the mat. Becky with an exploder to Carmella. Becky tries to throw a ladder at Natalya but misses. Tamina with a spear to Becky.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Natalya is the only one on her feet. Natalya puts a ladder in the ring and stands under the briefcase. Natalya sets up the ladder and she climbs at a slow pace and Charlotte gets on the ladder and stops Natalya with a forearm to teh back. Becky climbs and then Charlotte gets on top. Tamina with a forearm to Becky's back. All four are near the top. Becky sends Tamina into the ladder and then the ladder falls over and everyone goes to the mat or floor.
Carmella is now alone in the ring and she sets up the ladder and she climbs and has her hand on the ladder. All four push the ladder out of the way. Charlotte is sent to the floor. Carmella with a cross body onto Natalya and Becky. Carmella is down in the ring while Natalya, Becky, and Charlotte are on the floor. Tamina is down under the case. Charlotte returns to the ring and she puts the ladder on top of Tamina. Charlotte drops the bottom rung on Tamina. Charlotte turns the ladder and she climbs but Carmella stops her. Carmella and Charlotte fight on the ladder but Tamina pushes the ladder over and Charlotte and Carmella fall from the ladder.
Tamina with a super kick to Charlotte and Tamina sets up the ladder in the center of the ring. Tamina climbs the ladder but Natalya and Becky get back into the ring and they stop Tamina. Becky and Natalya with a double power bomb. Natalya with a kick and a sit out power bomb to Becky. Natalya puts Carmella in the Sharpshooter. Charlotte kicks Natalya in the back of the head. Charlotte with Natural Selection to Carmella. Charlotte and Natalya fight to the floor and Natalya send Charlotte into the crowd and Natalya follows.
James Ellsworth returns to the ringside area and brings Carmella into the ring. Ellsworth sets up the ladder and he climbs while Carmella waits to fair catch the case. Becky kicks Carmella and then she tries to knock Ellsworth off the ladder and she pushes Ellsworth onto the top rope and he lands in an uncomfortable way.
Becky climbs the ladder but Carmella pulls her off. Becky appears to have hurt her knee but she stops Carmella and climbs the ladder. Carmella hits Becky in the leg with the chair and then she climbs the ladder and takes the briefcase.
Winner: Carmella
