Jay White vs. Sami Callihan

Callihan caught Jay with a side slap at the bell.  White was nailed with a running dive through the ropes, smashing him into the barricade.  White came back with a big tope suicida.  Starting out hot!  They went to the floor and threw each other into the barricades.   Callihan drilled White with chops.  He manhandled White, tossing him into the barriers over and over.   Callihan charged and drilled him against the railing.  The fans chanted for Sami.

Sami charged around again but this time, White followed him.  When Sami returned to where White was, he was confused and turned around, allowing White to attack him and work him over with rapid fire chops.  Callihan was almost counted out.  He returned to the ring at the last second and was caught with a running back elbow in the corner.  White cinched in the Muta Lock. Callihan out of it and they exchange strikes on their feet.  They both hit the mat and barely get up at a 8 count.  Callihan goes for a big power bomb but White out of it.  They go back and forth and White with a suplex onto Sami in the corner and then a crossface.

They battled back anf forth with major forearms and punches.  Sami powerbombed White and turned him over into the Stretch Muffler.  White fought his way out and locked Sami into a Boston Crab and forced the submission.

Your winner, Jay White!

Very good opener with lots of hard hitting back and forth action.  Really enjoyable.

Martin Stone vs. Jeff Cobb

Lots of feeling out spots early on.  Some very hard hitting shots.  Stone nailed a dropkick off the ropes.  He caught Cobb in the corner and nailed a series of hard chops.   Cobb caught Stone coming at him with a leap and swung him around into a back suplex.   Cobb scored a two count and continued working over Stone.    Cobb began manhandling Stone with big suplexes and stiff shots.  It was great stuff.

Cobb went to the outside but was caught with a big right hand.  Stone came back to nail a top rope draping DDT for the pin.

Your winner, Martin Stone!

Short but stiff match.

Lord Gideon Gray came out unannounced and cut a promo.  He said he was midget hunting for Swoggle.  He called Swoggle out.  Out he came.

Swoggle vs. Lord Gideon Gray.

The crowd chanted, "F*** him up Swoggle, F*** him up."   Gray shoved Swoggle at the bell.  Swoggle kicked him and hit the Stone Cold Stunner and scored a two count.   Swoggle thwarted Gray's offense and even nailed a German suplex.  Gray cut him off and nailed a powerslam and pinned him.

Your winner, Lord Gideon Gray!

Well, that was something.

ROH TV champion Marty Scurll vs. Ricochet.

Lots of back and forth reversals before facing off.  Dueling chants.  Lots of fast paced action. Ricochet caught Scurll with a sideways Gori Guerrero's Especial and drilled him into the buckles ten times.  Ricochet nailed moonsault after doing some of the Rock's People's Elbows mannerisms.  The crowd chanted "People's Moonsault."  Scurll cut off Ricochet and did his own Rock-inspired tease, only to stop and stomp the hell out of him, then do Steve Austin mannerisms on the ropes.

Scurll chopped and rakes Ricochet before cinching in a test of strength.  Ricochet fought back and sent him to the floor, then hit a big dive.  He tossed Scurll back in the ring.  They battled back and forth with big spots.  Scurll nailed a nasty brainbuster for a two count. Scurll prevented Ricochet from doing a handstand into a rana with a kick to the head.   They reversed and reversed and finally Ricochet nailed a big back suplex for a two   They exchanged strikes.   Ricochet missed a shooting star press.  Scurll nailed a nasty piledriver for a two count.  He nailed another then cinched on the cross face chickenwing.  Ricochet made it to the ropes and drilled him with several kicks.  He went for a handspring elbow but was caught in mid-air with the chicken wing and forced to tap.

Your winner, Marty Scurll!

Excellent match with way too much going on to recap every move.  Excellent back and forth wrestling.

Scurll gave a great speech and said that matches like this and crowds like this are why he loves pro wrestling.  He put over Ricochet and then dedicated the match to Kris Travis.

Ricochet noted he was bleeding from his mouth and thumb but said that he didn't care because he was happy to bleed if it was for the fans.  He thanked everyone for their support and said he's wrestling Scurll all over the world and doesn't know where their paths will take them in the future but he knows they will be outside signing autographs and photos for the fans to remember this weekend.

We are now at intermission.
