By Mike Johnson on 2016-09-25 20:43:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of WWE Raw's Clash of Champions from Indianapolis, Indiana!

CLASH OF CHAMPIONS KICKOFF

The panel is Renee Young, Booker T, Jerry Lawler and Lita.

Ton Phillips announced they would have a Q&A with Sami Zayn to discuss his bout with Chris Jericho.

They aired a video package on Roman Reigns vs. Rusev.

The panel discussed who would win tonight.  Lita called Reigns.  Lawler said it would be Rusev.  I don't even know who Booker picked!

Sasha Banks was interviewed backstage.  She said she's been waiting over a month to get payback on Charlotte for trying to injure her.  She said it's a big match for Bayley but tonight is about her.  She said she's going to become a two time women's champion.  Dana  Brooke showed up and said Sasha should only be feeling fear and worry that Charlotte is going to finish her up together.  Banks said that if Brooks gets involved tonight, she's going to be the one on the injured list.

They aired a video feature on the Raw Women's championship.

They talked about the Best of Seven Series between Cesaro and Sheamus.

Sheamus joined the panel.   He said that he didn't feel any pressure going into the final bout.  He said that Cesaro is right up there with Daniel Bryan as one of his toughest opponent.  Booker said that some people might say that Sheamus dropped the ball.  Sheamus said he's seen Booker in a Best of Seven series in the past but tonight he's going to win and get his championship opportunity.  Sheamus came off really jovial, as opposed to playing a pissed off heel.  He said that being the last draft pick on Smackdown made him wonder whether he's gotten complacent.  He said there are no excuses tonight if he loses.  He said he would walk out a decisive winner.

They aired a video piece on the Cruiserweight division.  The panel discussed the Cruiserweight championship match.  Booker talked about TJ Parker.  Ooops.  Lawler said Perkins could be a flash in the pan because whatever he accomplished before WWE means nothing.  Well, what about that entire tournament he just won?

They showed the footage of Chris Jericho laying out Sami Zayn several weeks back on Raw.  Zayn was interviewed by Tom Phillips, taking Twitter questions.  Zayn said the highlights of his career were winning the NXT championship, wrestling at Wrestlemania and beating Kevin Owens at Battleground.  He said the best moment will be when he one day he wins the Universal title and hopefully, from Owens.  He was asked how it feels to have fans singing his theme music.  He said he considers himself a musical person and noted that fans have sang his song his entire career with "Ole Ole Ole" and now they sign his current theme.  Zayn said he was told at a young age it's good to have a song stuck in his head and he hopes he can be the song stuck in others' heads.  He said that he wants the old Chris Jericho tonight.

The panel talked the Raw Tag Team championship match.

They pushed that Total Bellas will debut a week from Wednesday.

Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox

Fox dropkicked Jax and drilled her with several kicks to try and take her out early only to be driven backwards into the buckles.  Jax drilled her with a running kick to the back and an Avalanche.  Jax flung her across the ring by her hair and stomped and kicked at Fox.  Jax hooked her arm and tried to choke her out, using her weight to wear Fox down.  Fox tried to fight her way out but was tossed and slammed across the ring.

Fox avoided a charge in  the corner and nailed a series of forearms and a dropkick.   Fox was whipped into the ropes and for some reason went over the top to the apron.   She snapped Jax's throat across the ropes and hit a bodypress.  She nailed the scissor kick but Jax kicked up at two.  Fox charged but was wiped out by a shoulder tackle, killing her momentum.

Fox collapsed in a corner and was wiped out with a hip attack, then nailed with a Samoan Drop for the pin.

Your winner, Nia Jax!

OK match but there were a few times Fox took bumps or went down for some reason that was completely foreign to me.  Jax looked fine.

The Kickoff show closed with the panel previewing the Universal championship main event.

WWE CLASH OF CHAMPIONS 2016

WWE Tag Team champions The New Day vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Usual entertaining promo from New Day.   Anderson and Kingston started out.  Gallows attacked E and then Woods on the floor.  Anderson nailed a Liger Bomb for a two count.  He began beating Kingston with right hands.  They worked over Kofi until he was able to get the tag to Big E.  Big E shocked with a big shoulderblock but Anderson kicked up.  He went for a running powerslam but Gallows made a blind tag and drilled him with a big boot.  They double teamed E but Kingston broke it up at the last second after the Boot of Doom.

Anderson was sent over the top by E.  Gallows checked on him as Woods rallied the crowd with the trombone.  Kingston tagged in and went for flying move but was caught and nailed with a spinebuster for another two count.  Gallows nailed a chokeslam.  They set up for the Magic Killer but Kingston slipped out.  Gallows charged but missed Kofi, nailing the ringpost.  E tagged in and hit the Big Ending but was pulled out of the ring by Gallows during the pinfall attempt.

Kingston nailed a dive to the outside.  Anderson was clobbered by Woods with the Trombone.  The champs nailed Midnight Hour and scored the pin.

Your winners and still WWE Raw Tag Team champions, The New Day!

Entertaining opener.  I wonder if the interference will play into the story between the two sides continuing on Raw tomorrow.
