Luke Hawx's Wildkat Wrestling has an event tonight in Metaire, LA at the Grace King Auditorium. The show is billed as the final appearance of Buku Dao, a regular here as he's "leaving the company for a bigger opportunity elsewhere." So, he's either signed with a bigger company or he's leaving the business, my guess is the former.
Dao is billed as the "Situ-Asian" and has made appearances in EVOLVE and Extreme Rising in the past. He's small but a hell of a hand. In his final appearance, Dao will be wrestling Steve Anthony, which should be an awesome bout on paper as Anthony is one of the best kept secrets in terms of well rounded performers, sort of like Dean Malenko in the early 1990s.
Announced for the show is Curt "The Stud" Matthews vs. Kory Konstantine vs Haniel T, Danny Flamingo & mystery partner (replacing Striker) vs "Wildcard" J.Spade & Purple Haze, Shane Taylor vs Socorro, Rudy Russo vs Rhettro, Wildkat champ "Outlaw" Matt Lancie vs "One Man". Mike Dell (both very good) and Buku Dao vs. Anthony headlining.
Hawx was scheduled to wrestle ROH star Raymond Rowe in a rematch from a well received bout but Rowe is now out after his motorcycle wreck. Matt Striker was also scheduled but was pulled for Lucha Underground.
