Jay Lethal vs. AJ Styles

Monster reaction for Styles. There were some “F*** TNA” chants at the bell but he didn’t react them. They then chanted “Fire Russo.” You have to love Philly.

They locked up and muscled each other to try and get the advantage. Styles backed him into the corner and broke clean. Styles grabbed a headlock. Lethal escaped and locked in one of his own. They had some really good back and forth wrestling early.

Styles sent Lethal to the floor and went for a dive. Lethal moved so Styles tried to dive off the apron. Lethal hit the ring and dove out onto Styles, getting a “ROH” chant. They battled on the outside with Lethal sending Styles into the guard rail. He brought Styles back into the ring for a near fall.

Lethal nailed an over the knee backbreaker, then drilled him with a dropkick. Styles and Lethal went into a series of reverals until Lethal hit a cartwheel as a dropkick. Lethal locked him in a hanging clutch. They battled to trhe ropes, where Styles tried to suplex Lethal to the outside. Lethal landed on the apron. Styles suplexed him across the apron. Ouch!

Back in the ring, Styles took control, working over Lethal. He sent Lethal into the ropes and killed him with a dropkick for a two count. He locked in the Muta Lock. Styles made a comeback and locked Lethal in a rear chinlock. Lethal fought back but was grabbed in a front facelock. Lethal fought free. They began chopping and punching each other.

Lethal finally caught Styles with the Lethal Combination. He nailed a back suplex into a backbreaker. The crowd began chanting for each man in dueling chants. They battled to the top. Lethal went for a superplex but Styles shoved him off the top. Styles nailed the springboard forearm for a two count.

They went back and forth with some awesome striking and moves. Lethal came off the ropes with a leg lariat. Lethal went for a German suplex but Styles pulled out and nailed the Pele Kick. Styles went for a clothesline but Jay slipped under and nailed the German suplex.

Lethal went to the top for the flying elbow but only garnered a two count out of it. They went back and forth until Styles nailed a powerbomb and then the Styles Clash for the pin.

Your winner, AJ Styles!

Just an awesome match from bell to bell. TNA’s loss was absolutely ROH’s gain, in both of their case.

Styles and Lethal hugged after. The crowd chanted “ROH.”

Homicide and Eddie Kingston came out. He said that they were suspended and blamed the fans and Sinclair for making them soft. He said that they all suck and would rather show a “rat” on TV (pointing out Scarlett Bordeauxx) then them. He promised they aren’t going anywhere and said sooner or later, they would have a new member. The promo got some heat but I don’t think it really clicked 100%.

ROH champion Adam Cole vs. Chris Hero.

Hero and Cole had a feeling out process early. Cole shoulderblocked Hero down but was then kicked down as he went for a leapfrog. He went to do it again and Cole left the ring and said “Time out.” Cole tried to fake him out but ended up eating a big boot on the floor.

Hero controlled him for awhile but Cole caught him with a chinlock. He worked over Hero, who made a big comeback. Hero hit a leaping kick to the floor on Cole. They battled back and forth and ended on the top. Cole shoved him off and hit a slingshot piledriver for a two count.

Hero nailed a right hand for a two count. Hero nailed him with the roaring elbow but Cole was sent to the floor. The crowd chanted, “You killed Cole.” Hero fought to get him back in the ring. Hero hit a Mafia Kick to Cole, sending him over the rail to the outside.

Cole came back with a German suplex on the outside and brought Hero into the ring, then nailed a brainbuster to the knee. Hero kicked out and the crowd chanted, “This is awesome.”

Cole grabbed Hero who nailed a back elbow. Cole ducked and the referee was KO’d. Hero locked him in the Plum Stretch and Cole tapped but there was no referee. Hero and Cole exchanged a series of kicks to the face. Cole nailed a back suplex with a bridge but Hero escaped at the last minute. Cole nailed another and finally scored the pin.

Your winner and still ROH champion, Adam Cole!

Another really good back and forth match. Good stuff from both. They really worked well together.
