ROH WRATH OF THE RACKET

RING OF HONOR WRATH OF THE RACKET REPORT INCLUDING THE DEBUT OF JIM CORNETTE
by Mike Johnson

Ring of Honor made it's debut in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday 8/9. Full results of the show saw:

*Hydro and Deranged of Special K defeated The SATs, The Carnage Crew and Fast Eddie and Don Juan in a Scramble Match.

Jim Cornette came out and confronted Special K and questioned the style ROH was promoting. He said he had a real tag team he was going to manage tonight and out came Dunn and Marcos, the Ring Crew Express, only for Cornette to turn on them and announce he was managing the Prophecy, Christopher Daniels and Danny Maff.

*Nigel McGuiness defeated Chet Jablonski to become the number one contender to the HWA championship.

*Homicide defeated Chris Sabin

*Colt Cabana and Ace Steel defeated Alex Shelley and Jimmy Jacobs.

*Matt Stryker pinned Justin Credible

They ran an angle at intermission where The Prophecy attacked The Amazing Red and The SATs as they were signing autographs.

*Michael Shane defeated Hotstuff Hernandez, Slyk Wagner Brown, and Scoot Andrews in a Four Corner bout.

*Jimmy Rave pinned Special K's Slim J.

*ROH champion Samoa Joe defeated BJ Whitmer.

*Homicide and AJ Styles defeated Christopher Daniels and Danny Maff. Homicide was a replacement for the injured Red (in storyline due to the attack and in reality due to a knee injury). The Prophecy attacked Jim Cornette after the match as he shook hands with Homicide and Styles. Styles, Homicide, Samoa Joe and The Amazing Red saved Cornette. The show closed with Cornette retracting his earlier statements and endorsing ROH.

One source in the promotion listed the crowd at 625.
