1949 - National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion OrvilleBrown, unable to defend his title due to injuries suffered in a car accident (which also ended his career), forfeits the title to his scheduled opponent, Lou Thesz. Thesz would go on to unify all the different versions of the World Heavyweight Title to create one unified and undisputed championship.
1970 - Jack Brisco defeats Tarzan Tyler to win the NWA Florida Television Title in Tampa, Florida.
1986 - The NWA/Jim Crockett Promotions held Starrcade '86, dubbed "Night Of The Skywalkers" at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina and the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The locations would alternate having matches, and show the balance of the card via closed circuit television. There were also locations set up in other places in the country where fans could see the closed circuit broadcast from both venues. Here are the results from the show:
Greensboro card:
- Tim Horner & Nelson Royal defeated Don & Rocky Kernodle.
- Hector Guerrero & Baron Von Raschke defeated Shaska Whatley & The Barbarian.
- Wahoo McDaniel defeated Rick Rude in an Indian Strap match.
- Jimmy Valiant defeated Paul Jones in a Hair vs. Hair match when he knocked out Jones with a foreign object that he had intended to use. After the match Jones did have his head shaved, then Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez ran in and beat up Valiant.
- Tully Blanchard defeated Dusty Rhodes in a First Blood match to win the NWA Television Title. Blanchard was actually bleeding first, but the referee was down. Blanchard bloodied Rhodes with a roll of coins, then had manager J.J. Dillon wipe the blood from his head.
- NWA World Tag Team Champions The Rock N' Roll Express defeated Ole & Arn Anderson in a Steel Cage match when Morton pinned Ole after a double dropkick.
Atlanta card:
- Brad Armstrong vs. Jimmy Garvin ended in a fifteen minute draw.
- NWA United States Tag Team Champions Krusher Khruschev & Ivan Koloff defeated Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantel in a No DQ match when Koloff pinned Jaggers.
- Central States Champion Sam Houston defeated Bill Dundee via DQ.
- Big Bubba Rogers defeated Ronnie Garvin via knockout in a Louisville Street Fight match. After the referee was knocked out, Garvin gave Rogers a piledriver, and Jim Cornette then gave Garvin a whack with his tennis racket. The referee awoke, counted to ten, then announced that the first man up would be the winner. Garvin was up first, but Cornette hit him again while the referee was looking at Rogers, and Bubba was declared the winner.
- The Road Warriors defeated The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey) in a Scaffold match. After the match, Jim Cornette was chased up, and off, the scaffold, suffering a legitimate broken leg when Bubba Rogers (who was supposed to catch Cornette) misjudged his fall and Cornette crashed to the mat.
- NWA World Heavyweight Champ Ric Flair defeated Nikita Koloff via DQ after the referee was knocked out twice.
1986 - The UWF held their Superdome Extravaganza at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, drawing over 13,000 fans. Interesting to note, the previous year, Mid-South Wrestling (as the company was known before Bill Watts expanded the territory and renamed it UWF) held a short card at the Superdome, and showed Starrcade on closed circuit television. This year, they presented a full show, no doubt taking away attention from Starrcade in the Louisiana area. Here are the results:

1991 - WWF holds their Survivor Series Pay-per-view in Detroit, Michigan at the Joe Louis Arena, headlined by The Undertaker defeating Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Title when Taker gave Hogan a tombstone onto a steel chair that was slid into the ring by Ric Flair. This was also Flair's PPV debut for WWF, lasting as the sole survivor in his match when almost every other participant was disqualified for brawling outside the ring.
1992 - The Rock N' Roll Express defeat The Heavenly Bodies (Stan Lane & Tom Pritchard) to win the Smoky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Title in Welch, West Virginia. This ended the third reign for Lane & Pritchard, and started the second title run for Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson.
1999 - ECW ran an event at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here are the results:
- Nova & Kid Kash defeated Bo & Jack Dupp when Nova pinned Jack.
- Jerry Lynn defeated Little Guido.

2003 - NAWA held Thanksgiving Thunder. Larry Goodman filed the following live report
What a long strange trip it's been.
Seeing live wrestling on Thanksgiving Day weekend has been an annual tradition for me ever since I moved to The South. The one that is still etched in my memory is Starrcade '85 at the Omni. A packed house. The show was split between Greensboro and Atlanta that year. The match I remember vividly is one that I saw on the big screen, Magnum T. A. defeating Tully Blanchard to win the US Title in a Steel Cage I Quit Match. And who can forget the sight of Ronnie Garvin dressed in drag as "Miss Atlanta Lively?" 1993 marked my first visit to the Knoxville Coliseum for Smoky Mountain Wrestling's Thanksgiving Thunder. Not a great show in the ring, but there are several thing that stood out about the experience. Being that it was my first time in Knoxville, I wasn't quite sure that I was at right place. Then I saw Moondog Spot (Larry Booker) walking towards the building. I was saddened to learn of his death as I was writing this report. The visual of Chris Candido being tarred and feathered was surreal. Then there was the incident that occurred in the main event. One of the Harris Brothers (then known as the Bruise Brothers) lost it while brawling in the crowd and blatantly decked a fan. The guy wanted to file a complaint. As I recall it, the Knoxville cops sat the guy down in the office and basically talked him out of pressing charges. I remember Thankgiving Thunder '95 mainly because it was the last SMW show I attended. Little did I know that Jim Cornette was planning to shut the company down at the end of the weekend. Jess McGrath's story on Bert Prentice's Annual Thanksgiving Show Bert Prentice's Annual Thanksgiving Show brought back memories of 1997 and Bert's inaugural extravaganza, The Homecoming, featuring the best Mike Rapada match ever, versus Terry Golden. It was also the first time that 1Wrestling used one of my reports (thank you, Dave Scherer). As far as Thanksgiving shows, it's been downhill since then. The lowlight of last year's Peach State Wrestling show was Tommy Rich working the main event looking like somebody rolled him out of bed and into the ring. I've been blessed to witness much of the best in southern wrestling over the last two decades and on occasion, some of the worst. Last night's show was somewhere in between.
NAWA presented a watered down version of Thanksgiving Thunder at Dillard's Music Park in Rome, Georgia. It wasn't a stellar card to begin with, and to make matters worse, the crew was plagued by illnesses, forcing a last minute patchwork lineup. The ringwork was OK and they did some good storytelling. The major problem was a mellow crowd (100) that seemed to be suffering the after effects of a Thanksgiving food orgy.
(1) Jay Fury beat Lamar Phillips (with Coach) in 7:10. Phillips (formerly Working Man and was that ever a lame gimmick) must be the most angelic looking heel in pro wrestling. Picture Opie Taylor trying to be a bad ass. Phillips bailed out after taking a couple of Fury's dropkicks. Fury hit a flip senton and Phillips took timeout for another pep talk from Coach. At the five minute mark, Phillips held onto the ropes and hung Fury out to dry on his dropkick attempt. Coach tripped up Fury to cut off his comeback. Finish saw Fury stymie Coach's attempt to interfere and hit a monster frogsplash elbow for the win.
A fan greeted referee Gene Johnson with "Oh, its snaggletooth."
(2) Icarus beat Little Will and Gabriel in a three way dance (6:25). Gabriel was an unadvertised surprise. It was a De Ja Vu of the Wildside taping when Slash was announced for Fright Night. I'm marking out like an idiot in an otherwise silent building. Gabriel was fine, but there was only so much he could do. After all, he's not a freakin' miracle worker. The intrigue surrounded what role Gabriel would play, as he sat out the early going while Icarus worked on Will. Gabriel ended the mystery by joining forces with Icarus to destroy Will. The finish was a problem. Icarus pinned Will with a brainbuster It was supposed to be a double team where Gabriel came off the top with a flip dive, but it appeared that Icarus couldn't keep Will vertical, and Gabriel did a crash and burn. Icarcus then invited Gabriel to make a cover while he made another three count.
(3) Alabama Attitude (Adam Roberts & T. C. Carnage) beat Chris Kamikaze & Chit Martinez in 7:22. Roberts possessed the most commanding heel presence of the evening. Kamikaze took it to AA in the early going. Eventually, Kamikaze got pulled out and Martinez took the heat, with Roberts doing most of the work. Martinez sells well. Unfortunately, his offense is the pits and doesn't give the Mexican fans in Rome much to get excited about. Roberts had Martinez pinned with a powerslam but Kamikaze saved. Roberts slammed Martinez on the concrete. Roberts taunted Kamikaze with "Your little fans ain't here behind ya." Was that ever a shoot. No amount of pleading by Kamikaze could get them to make any noise. Martinez made a tepid tag. Kamikaze cleaned house with solid forearm shots. Four way action to set up the finish. Manager Aaron Voight and Sean Tempers, one half of the NAWA Tag Team Champions Pomp & Circumstance, came to ringside with one of the title belts. Roberts used the belt to clock Kamikaze for the pin. Martinez went after Tempers.
Voight entered the ring with Tempers. Voight said the other half of P & C, Ace Rockwell, was indisposed so there would be no title match against Hardcore Properties, but they decided to make an appearance anyway. That brought out NAWA Commissioner John Johnson. Johnson ordered a match with "E. T." Voight (he's one weird looking dude) as Tempers' partner and threatened to strip them of the title belts if they refused. Johnson has been
(4) Justin Ramey (with Tyra) beat Nick Halen to retain the NAWA Junior Title in 6:22. It was the kind of thing that frequently happens with two talented but green performers: a good match with a botched finish. There was a lot to like about this match. Ramey did a cool front flip neckbreaker. Ramey went for a unexpected choke out submission only a couple of minutes into it. Halen suplexed Ramey into the turnbuckles for a both-men-down spot. That was a breath of fresh air compared to the played out dueling clothesline spot. Halen came back with a flapjack. Halen got the big near fall with a top rope elbow. Ramey won it with a double jump split legged moonsault that wasn't nearly as good as it sounds.
(5) Nemesis & Zero X beat Rick Michaels & Skeeter Frost. Nemesis was introduced as being from "the gutters of Detroit." I suspect they make Rainman's Dark City look like a walk in the park. X was getting his ass handed to him. Nemesis started riding X because the heels were disrespecting him. Nemesis got the tag and it was on. Nemesis was a one man wrecking crew. Michaels was trying to protect his back on the bumps, as he's trying to come back from a serious injury. Nemesis called Frost "Skeetski" as he dished out the punishment. The heels got their hands on X again. Michaels surprised with a press slam and followed with a knee to the nutsack. That wasn't a surprise. Frost did a legsweep into a standing moonsault. Michaels hit a perfectly timed superkick. The fans joined Nemesis in heaping some well-deserved verbal abuse on ref Mike Wise for doing a lousy job. A collision of high crossbodys…and the hot tag. Michaels used ye olde Tennessee chain on Nemesis for the 1..2..3. NAWA owner, Phil Heffner, came to ringside and stooged Michaels off to Wise, who ordered a restart. Nemesis used the chain on Michaels to score the pinfall.
Michaels said that was the second time Heffner had stuck his nose in his business. Michaels said he wanted Heffner's 160 year old-80 pound butt in the ring one on one. Heffner told "Slick Dick" Michaels, "I'll slap you nekkid so that every one of these people can fondle you." Heffner said Michaels was a cripple, not a wrestler. Michaels took his frustrations out on Frost, nailing him with a fistful of chain.
(6) Hardcore Properties (Billy Love & John Arden) beat Sean Tempers & Aaron Voight in 9:25. Of course Voight didn't want to mix it up with HCP. After checking to make sure his tie was on straight, Voight called for a test of strength. As Love went to lock up, Voight fell backwards and accused Love of trying to touch his balls. Them's fighting words. HCP proceeded to give Tempers one hell of a beating. Voight finally pulled the ropes down just barely enough to dump Love. They did the deal where Tempers softened Love up, and Voight tagged in just long enough to deliver one blow. Voight grew bolder the next time and they did a wishbone on Love's legs. Tempers busted out a cobra clutch backbreaker for a near fall. Voight got a little too saucy. Love pulled Voight down by his tie and made a tag that the ref didn't see. During the ensuing confusion, Kamikaze and Martinez showed up at ringside. Martinez clocked Tempers with the belt. Tempers was dead meat for HCP"s double team finisher.
(7) Onyx (with Generic Afro Street Punk) and Bulldog Raines ended in a double DQ (13:42). This was a makeshift affair. It was supposed to be Michaels in this spot, but he had to take Iceberg's spot in the tag match. This was billed as an NWA Wildside Heavyweight Title match. Onyx was gold working as a heel. They rarely see major league bodies in Rome, and Onyx played it up to the max. I had a similar reaction to seeing Onyx in this venue, as Trent Van Drisse did when he saw the Naturals and Athena on the 11/28 USWO Show. Onyx screams major league as soon as soon as he comes through the curtain. The goofy bulldog headgear that Raines wears is a riot. Onyx said he wasn't going to wrestle a crazy man. Onyx said Raines was a poodle. Raines couldn't budge Onyx with shoulder tackles. The crowd popped when Raines decked Onyx with a flying shoulder block. Onyx took a powder. Raines gave Onyx and his "manager" a meeting of the minds. Onyx told Raines to wait while he took a time out. Onyx used a nutshot and started doing muscle poses. Afro Street Punk got in a few horrible blows, which only exposed the fact that he had no training. Raines made the barking comeback. Raines bit Onyx for the biggest pop of the night I'm not sure what to make of that. Double clothesline and both men down. Onyx went to the ground and pound, but Raines was able to reverse him. Raines and Onyx both popped ref Gene Johnson as he tried to intervene. Johnson called for the DQ. The dressing rooms emptied for a mild pull apart. "I have to go to the WWE, but in two weeks yo fat ass is mine," said Onyx.
NOTES: Iceberg, Andrew Alexander, and Nick Rampage all missed the show due to illness. I didn't get any info on why Loon-A-Tic and Rockwell were missing…NAWA returns to Dillard's Music Park next Saturday…Roberts has a TNA dark match coming up on 12/3…NAWA's next major show is scheduled for 1/10.
2005 - WWE held their Survivor Series PPV in Detroit, Michigan. Here is my original play-by-play report on the show:
WWE Survior Series opened with a video feature on the main events of the show.
Joey Styles welcomed everyone to Detroit, Michigan noting that fans from both the United States and Canada were in attendance.
Booker T vs. Chris Benoit - First in Best of 7 Series for WWE United States championship
Sharmell introduced Booker T, who then came out. Michael Cole noted that Booker had enlisted his wife in pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. Cole said that Benoit was screwed out of the U.S. title in October and believed that Benoit had the victory on Smackdown. Tazz disagreed, saying Booker won. They both agreed that Teddy Long made a good judgment call in holding up the title. Benoit gave an evil glare to Sharmell.
Benoit and Booker tied up with Booker backing up Benoit into the corner. Booker tried to slam Benoit, who blocked. Booker tried again and powerslammed him over. Booker backed up Benoit into the corner. Benoit circled out and nailed Booker with a series of knees. Booker was knocked out of the ring, bumping off the apron.
Booker regrouped on the outside, got back in and took Benoit down with a waistlock, but Benoit reversed it on the mat, and Booker went to the floor again. Back in the ring, they engaged in a test of strength. Benoit went down to the mat, but bridged back up, and Booker floored him with a back kick after letting go of one hand. Booker hit a back elbow, then went for a suplex, but Benoit reversed it with a back suplex. Benoit stayed on the offense, hitting knees and punches in a corner, but Booker came back with a side slam for a two count, then applied an armbar.
Booker put Benoit in an abdominal stretch, but Benoit hiptossed out and then hit an armdrag and a knee to the head. Benoit went for a backdrop, but Booker blocked it with a kneelift, then hit a spinkick. Booker rolled up Benoit for a two count, then hit a neckbreaker for another two. Booker put Benoit into a rear chinlock, but Benoit elbowed out, then floated over a Booker vertical suplex. Benoit hit a German suplex, then the two traded elbows and Booker fired off a jumping side kick. Booker covered Benoit for two. Benoit slid under Booker's legs, grabbed a dragon screw leg whip, then went for a Sharpshooter, but Booker turned it into a small package for a two count.
Benoit hit some chops and a pair of running forearms, then covered Booker for a two count. Benoit hit a snap suplex for another two count, then delivered three German suplexes in a row. Benoit went to the top rope, but Sharmell got on the apron, distracting him. Booker slugged Benoit on the top, and set up for a superplex. Benoit gave Booker a series of headbutts, sending Booker back to the mat. Benoit went for the top rope headbutt, but Booker rolled out of the way. Booker grabbed Benoit in a rolling cradle, and put his feet on the ropes for leverage (with Sharmell holding them as well) for the three count.
Winner: Booker T.
Booker goes up 1-0 in the series, with Match #2 this Tuesday night on UPN.
Backstage, Vince McMahon visited Eric Bischoff, who was warming up for his match with Theodore R. Long. Bischoff promised to destroy Long tonight. Bischoff talked about Vince McMahon screwing Bret Hart at Survivor Series, making history. Bischoff promised to screw John Cena tonight. Bischoff said fans would be chanting "You Screw Cena". John Cena entered, and commented that Bischoff likes to "screw guys". Bischoff walked off, and Vince McMahon began "talking jive" to Cena, including calling Cena "my nigga". McMahon strutted off, and Booker T, standing next to Sharmell, said "Tell me he didn't just say that".
WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus vs. Melina.
Joey Styles and Tazz handled the announcing for this interpromotional match. They showed footage of Trish's "abduction" on Raw last week. MNM accompanied Melina to the ring, while Mickie James accompanied Trish to the ring.
Trish jumped onto Melina as she entered the ring, hitting a Thesz press and pounding her. Melina went to the floor to regroup with Mercury & Nitro. Trish went to the top rope and dove onto all three of them on the floor. Back in the ring, Trish threw Melina to the mat by the hair, then gave her the whirlybird headscissors. Melina bounced back with a mule kick from the corner and began hitting forearms to the back. Melina pulled Trish against the ropes by the air, then kicked her in the gut. Melina choked Trish in the corner with her boot, but Trish then reversed positions. Melina poked Trish in the eyes, then hit a running kick. Melina jumped to the floor to brawl with Mickie James, and as the referee watched, MNM ran in and set up Trish for the Snapshot. However, the referee turned and caught them before they could do it. The referee ordered MNM back to the locker room, and Mercury & Nitro left.
Melina speared Trish, stomped her, and put her in a surfboard variation. Trish escaped and battled back with forearms, but as she went for a bulldog, Melina shoved her into the ropes and took her down with a facebuster. Melina covered, and screamed with Trish kicked out. Melina went for a clothesline, but Trish matrixed under it. Melina hit a double sledge to the gut of Trish for another two count. They exchanged blows, and Melina went to the second rope, but Trish took her down with a headscissors, then hit a spinebuster.
Trish missed a Chick Kick, but hit a front kick instead. Trish went for Stratusfaction, but Melina lifted her over the ropes and put her on the apron. Melina went for a shoulderblock, but Mickie pulled Trish out of the way. Trish kicked Melina in the head from the apron, then hit a sloppy top rope bulldog for the win.
Winner: Trish Stratus.
Mike Johnson sent the following sidenote: In May 1995, Joey Styles and Tazz called a Dean Malenko vs. Eddie Guerrero match on ECW's Enter the Sandman event, which not only was Tazz's first ever announcing gig but the first time he publicly discarded his "Tasmaniac" persona.

Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair vs. Triple H - Last Man Standing
Triple H attacked Flair in the aisle as he was making his entrance and rammed him into the guardrails, then pounded him with right hands. Triple H threw Flair into the ring, then pounded him with right hands. Triple H pulled the Intercontinental Title belt off of Flair and threw it to the side. Triple H continued his assault, and Flair rolled to the floor, where he was finally able to take off his robe. Triple H went for a chair, but when he walked around the ring to get to Flair, the Nature Boy surprised him with a kendo stick to the gut. Flair hit him with the stick again, and Triple H went into the crowd. Flair followed him, and the two traded punches and chops in the middle of the crowd. Flair charged Triple H, and Triple H backdropped him over the security wall to ringside. Triple H gave Flair a vertical suplex on the floor.
Triple H suplexed Flair back into the ring with a delayed vertical suplex, then delivered an elbow drop to the back. Triple H dropped a second elbow, then punched Flair in the corner. Flair battled back with punches and chops, but Triple H threw him to the floor after a knee to the gut. Flair hit Triple H with a chop on the floor, but Triple H blocked an attempt to throw him into the ringpost, and instead rammed Flair face first into the ringpost. Flair was busted open. Triple H went under the ring, got a screwdriver, and drove it into Flair's head twice. Flair was a bloody mess, and Triple H rolled him into the ring. Triple H drove the screwdriver into Flair's head again. Flair rolled to the floor, and collapsed at ringside. Flair got back to his feet, and crawled back into the ring.
Triple H decked Flair with a right hand, then delivered a kneedrop. Triple H delivered another kneedrop, but Flair battled back with some chops, only for Triple H to throw Flair to the outside again. Triple H started to clear off the announce tables, but Flair grabbed him and whipped him into the ringsteps. Both men were down on the floor, and got to their feet. Flair threw a chop, but Triple H poked him in the eyes and gave him a spinebuster on the outside. Triple H got on the mic, daring Flair to get up, calling him an "old bastard". Triple H told Flair to stay down, if he "knew what's good" for him. Flair responded by grabbing Triple H with a testicular claw. Triple H screamed, then broke it by hitting Flair in the head with the microphone.
Triple H rammed Flair into the Raw announce table, then set him up on it for a Pedigree. Flair backdropped Triple H, who went right through the Spanish announce table. Triple H was laid out, and Flair crawled into the ring. The referee reached a nine count before Triple H was up. Triple H went for a chair, which he put on the apron, but Flair pulled Triple H into the ring and hit right hands and chops. Flair went for a backdrop, but Triple H grabbed him with a facebuster on his knee. Both men were slow to get up, and Triple H decked Flair with a right hand. Triple H picked up a chair, but stopped short of using it, placing it on the mat instead. Triple H instead pounded Flair with right hands on the mat. Flair got up to his feet, but Triple H punched him down again. Triple H set up for a Pedigree on the chair, but Flair hit him with a low blow. Flair then blasted Triple H with a chairshot to the head. Flair then bit into the head of Triple H, then hit him with some right hands.
Flair chopped Triple H in the corner, then elbowed him after Triple H reversed a whip into the corner. Flair slid out of the ring, grabbed Triple H by the legs, and pulled him groin first into the ringpost. Flair then yanked Triple H's legs into the ringposts over and over, then yanked him groin first into it three more times. Triple H struggled to his feet in the ring, and Flair clipped him from behind with a chop block. Flair then bit Triple H in the leg, then stomped it. Flair did a half-revolution of the Garvin Stomp, then hit a kneedrop to the head. Flair pulled Triple H to his feet, then clipped his knee again. Flair went for a figure four, but Triple H kicked it away. Flair went for it again, but Triple H kicked him away again, and Flair fell through the ropes to the floor. Flair grabbed Triple H's foot, tripping him, and rammed Triple H's leg into the ringpost. Flair then smashed Triple H's leg against the ringpost with a steel chair.
Back in the ring, Ric Flair applied the figure four leglock, using the ropes for leverage (which is legal in this match). Triple H tapped, but in this match, tapping out doesn't end the bout. Flair finally released the hold, and the referee began to count Triple H down. Triple H got to his feet at eight, but then fell back down again. Triple H got to his feet again, and threw a desperation clothesline at Flair, sending both to the mat. Triple H rolled to the floor, then tossed a section of the ringsteps into the ring. Flair was back to his feet in the ring, and Triple H ran into him with the ringsteps, connecting with Flair's head. Flair got back to his feet, and Triple H charged again, but Flair gave Triple H a drop toe hold, and Triple H fell face first into the ringsteps he was holding. Both men were down, but Flair got to his feet at seven, and Triple H was up at eight.
Flair and Triple H exchanged chops and punches. Flair hit a series of rights, then went for a backdrop, but Triple H grabbed him with a Pedigree. Triple H pulled himself up with the ropes. Flair got up at nine. Triple H grabbed Flair and hit a second Pedigree. Flair gave Triple H a middle finger at seven, and got to his feet at eight. Triple H attacked, hitting a series of right hands, then drove Flair to the mat with a third Pedigree. Flair sat up at seven, and was getting to his feet as Triple H went under the ring and got a sledgehammer. Triple H hit Flair across the back with the sledgehammer (hitting him more across the back with the wooden part of the hammer, than with the mallet). This time, Flair was out, and stayed down for the ten count, ending the match at the 27 minute mark.
Winner: Triple H.
Triple H stood over Flair, and gestured as if he was shooting Flair, ala "putting a horse out of it's misery". Triple H limped off, grinning, while Flair was put on a stretcher. Jonathan Coachman was singing Triple H's praises, and Jerry Lawler called him a "son of a bitch" for taking joy in Flair's injury.
They showed that Trish Stratus and Mickie James were in the WWE.com room with Todd Grisham.
Backstage, Randy Orton, JBL, Rey Mysterio and Bobby Lashley were talking. Well, mostly JBL and Orton were talking about Batista being the weak link in their team. Orton was saying he should be the leader of the team, when Batista, all taped up, walked in behind him. Batista said there could only be one leader of their team. Mysterio agreed with Batista. JBL protested slightly, then agreed Batista would be the leader. Lashley agreed that Batista would be leader. This left Orton, who grudgingly agreed, but glared at Batista as he left.
Edge and Lita came to the ring, in street clothes. Edge said he and Lita would be debuting their own show soon, "The Cutting Edge". Edge talked about how it would just be a "live mic" and him, and that it would scare people, because he knew what questions to ask, and would always "cut straight to the bone". Edge then noted that Dimitri Young of the Detroit Tigers was in the front row. Edge ripped on the Tigers, saying they wouldn't make it to the World Series, and wondered if it was a "lack of talent or a lack of steroids". Edge then said the only think Young was injecting was "cheeseburgers". Edge said baseball was filled with people hooked on amphetamines that didn't care about the fans. Edge then said they shouldn't care about the fans anyway, because they don't have a winning attitude. Edge talked about Pistons choking in the NBA Finals, then ripped on the Detroit Lions. Edge said he was thankful Detroit played on Thanksgiving, because it allowed him to go to sleep half way through the game. Lita said the "bass player" (then corrected herself and said "baseball player") had something to say. Edge called Young "Mark Henry", then sent Lita down to interview him. Dimitri said he hits balls, while Edge had "no balls" then talked about Detroit's successes in sports (in other words, the Red Wings). Dimitri then asked Edge where his World Title was. Edge got flustered, then said he was leaving Detroit, "just like GM and Ford". Edge and Lita then left.

Daivari came to the ring first, then Angle (with the "You Suck" chant censored). Daivari and Angle shook hands when Angle entered, and Daivari applauded him. Daivari then rubbed Angle's shoulders while waiting for Cena to come out. Cena made his entrance, and Daivari raised Angle's hand before even starting the match. The bell rang, and the bout began with the two locking up.
Cena backed Angle into the corner and broke clean. Angle grabbed a single leg takedown, dropped a pair of elbows, then a knee, to the leg, and twisted it. Cena tried to kick Angle away, but he held on to Cena's foot, until a second kick got him off. Cena grabbed an armdrag, then hit a pair of shoulderblocks. Angle rolled to the floor to regroup, and Daivari kept Cena from going out after him. There were chants of "Let's Go Angle" and "Let's Go Cena". Angle kicked Cena in the gut as he got back in, then delivered a forearm. Angle pounded Cena with right hands, but ran into a Cena boot. Cena hit a back elbow and a hiptoss, then delivered a cradle suplex. Cena covered Angle, but Daivari didn't count. Cena argued with Daivari, and Angle tripped Cena and applied the ankle lock. Angle dragged Cena to the center of the ring, and Cena crawled for the ropes, but Angle dragged him back again. Cena finally made the ropes, but Daivari kicked his hand off. Cena eventually turned the ankle lock and kicked Angle off. Cena slapped Daivari twice, and Daivari was about to disqualify him, but Angle stopped him. Cena then shoulderblocked Angle from behind, knocking him into Daivari and both fell to the floor. Daivari was down on the floor, and Cena came outside, but Angle grabbed him and rammed him into the steps, then gave him a belly to belly suplex on the floor.
Angle rolled Cena into the ring and covered him. A second referee, Chad Patton, came down and counted two. Daivari was still out on the floor. Angle gave Cena a suplex for another two, then applied a waistlock. Cena battled up and out of it with elbows, then hit a cross bodyblock for a two count. Angle reversed a whip and gave Cena a belly to belly suplex. Angle hit a kneelift, then stomped Cena on the mat. Angle dropped Cena with a back suplex for a two count. Angle put Cena in a bow and arrow variation, hooking a leg with one arm, and applying a rear naked choke with the other. Cena elbowed to break the hold, but Angle maintained the choke. Cena broke out with a jawbreaker. Angle missed a clothesline, and Cena nailed Angle with a DDT.
Both men were slow to get up, then they traded punches. Cena hit a clothesline and a shoulderblock, then a back suplex into a powerbomb. Cena did the "You can't see me" and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle fistdrop. Cena pumped up his sneakers, and Angle clotheslined the referee. Angle then hit Cena with a low blow. Angle gave Cena the Angle Slam, and referee Mickey Henson ran down and counted two. Angle got frustrated over not getting the pin, then set up Cena on the top rope and delivered a superplex for a two count. Angle went to the top for a moonsault, but Cena rolled out of the way, and Angle crashed to the mat. Cena went for the FU, but Angle grabbed the referee to block it and knock down Cena. The referee yelled at Angle, and Angle gave him a forearm, knocking him out. Angle rolled Daivari back into the ring, as Smackdown referee Charles Robinson came down. While Angle was intercepting him, Cena knocked out Daivari with a DDT. Angle got back into the ring, and Cena grabbed him with an FU and Smackdown referee Charles Robinson counted the pin at the 24 minute mark.
Winner: John Cena.
Angle complained as he walked to the back and Cena celebrated in the ring.
Eric Bischoff vs. Theodore R. Long.
Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman handled commentary for this match. Bischoff and Long were introduced by their respective brand's ring announcer, and there were two referees in the ring, one from Raw and one from Smackdown. Palmer Canon escorted Long to the ring.
Long and Bischoff trash talked in the ring, while Cole and Coach argued on commentary. Long ducked a Bischoff charge, then strutted in the ring. Bischoff threw a kick, but Long side stepped it and danced. Bischoff charged again, and Long side stepped it and Bischoff ran into the corner. Long struck the crane kick "Karate Kid" pose. Palmer Canon got on the apron, cheering on Teddy, but it distracted BOTH referees and Long, and allowed Bischoff to choke Long with his black belt. Bischoff shoved Canon off the apron, and choked Long, breaking on the four count. The fans chanted "boring". Long missed a punch, and Bischoff applied a sleeper. Canon got on the apron, and both referees were distracted again. Long took off his sneaker and hit Bischoff in the head with it to break the sleeper. Long went to hit Bischoff with the sneaker again, but Bischoff blocked it and hit Long with a karate thrust to the throat.
Suddenly, red lights went on, and the Boogeyman's entrance music began. Bischoff sent both referees down the aisle to stop him from coming out. As the referees went down the aisle, the Boogeyman entered the ring from the crowd. Boogeyman choked Bischoff, said "I'm coming to get you" and gave him a pumphandle slam. Boogeyman exited the ring, and Long crawled onto Bischoff. A referee returned to the ring and counted the pin at the six minute mark as Boogeyman exited through the crowd.
Winner: Theodore R. Long.
Long, still clutching his throat, danced with Palmer Canon in celebration.
The Smackdown and Raw teams for Survivor Series were shown heading out of their locker rooms. The other members of the brands were there, cheering their team on. The events leading to the Survivor Series Elimination match were shown.
Team Raw (Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Kane, Chris Masters & Carlito) vs. Team Smackdown (Batista, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, JBL & Randy Orton, with Jillian Hall & Cowboy Bob Orton).
Each wrestler had their own entrance, with Tazz and Cole talking during the Smackdown wrestlers entrances, and the Raw announce team talking over their team's entrance, so I guess we will have dueling announcers for this. The announcers were sniping at each other and arguing as the final members of the Raw team came out. A Smackdown referee is in the ring, and a Raw referee was placed outside the ring.
Orton and Michaels started out, after Batista was convinced not to start the match. Orton backed Michaels in a corner and slapped him. Michaels remarked that it hurt, and slapped him back, sending Orton off his feet. Michaels and Orton traded headlocks and headscissors', then Michaels slapped Orton again, then chopped him in the corner. Orton reversed a whip, but ran into a boot by Michaels. Michaels hit Orton with a chop, then went for a backdrop, but Orton kicked it away and hit an uppercut for a two count. Orton missed a kneedrop, and Michaels tagged in Chris Masters. Masters hit some shoulderblocks, but Orton raked his eyes and hit a kneelift. Masters came back with another shoulderblock, but JBL broke up the cover.
Orton grabbed an armbar, but Masters punched him away. Lashley tagged in, and Masters went for a shoulderblock, but Lashley didn't move. Masters went for another, but Lashley grabbed him with a powerslam. Lashley missed a charge in the corner, and Masters decked him with a punch. Masters went for the Masterlock, but never locked the fingers, as Lashley powered out and hit a belly to belly suplex. Carlito was tagged, but didn't want to get in with Lashley. Lashley hiptossed him in, and Carlito begged off. Carlito threw a punch, but Lashley absorbed it, hit two clotheslines and a powerslam for a two count. Lashley missed a charge, and Michaels tagged in. Michaels went to the top rope, but Lashley slammed him off. Lashley hit a shoulderblock and a slam, then gave him a belly to belly suplex. Carlito ran in, but Lashley gave him a Dominator. Lashley then went for one on Michaels, but Kane grabbed Lashley from the apron and chokeslammed him. Michaels crawled onto Lashley for the pin.
Bobby Lashley is eliminated.
Rey Mysterio came in and went to work on Michaels, but Kane kneed him from the apron. Masters tagged in and pounded Mysterio, then gave him a press slam, dropping Mysterio to the mat. Kane tagged in, but missed an elbowdrop. Rey hit a dropkick to the face, a legdrop, and a standing moonsault for a two count. Rey avoided a slam, but ran into a boot by Kane. Kane rammed Mysterio into the corner, then turned him around and gave him a shoulderblock, punch, and kick to the back. Kane gave Mysterio a backbreaker, then covered for a two count. Kane put Mysterio in a bear hug. The announcers have been ripping into each other the whole match, getting pretty nasty at points.
Mysterio bit Kane to break the bear hug, slid between his legs, and tagged Batista. Batista went to work on Kane, but got caught with an elbow. Kane knocked the other members of Team Smackdown off the apron, but that allowed Batista to recover. Batista cleaned house on Team Raw, even knocking back the Big Show. Mysterio gave Kane the 619, and Batista gave Kane a spinebuster to get the pin on him.
Kane is eliminated.
Big Show chokeslammed Batista for a two count. Big Show then knocked the rest of the Smackdown team off the apron again, and he and Kane gave Batista a double chokeslam. Big Show then pinned Batista.
Batista is eliminated.
JBL fought Big Show, and Orton and Mysterio tried to help, but Big Show kept swatting him away, until Orton yanked Show throat first across the top rope. JBL hit the Clothesline From Hell, but Big Show started to get up. JBL tagged Mysterio, and Mysterio hit him with the 619. Orton tagged in and gave Show the RKO. JBL tagged in and gave Show the Clothesline From Hell. Mysterio tagged in and gave Show the West Coast Pop. Mysterio then pinned the Big Show.
The Big Show is eliminated.
The remaining six wrestlers began brawling, in and out of the ring. JBL rammed Michaels into the ringpost on the floor, back first. Masters and Mysterio ended up alone in the ring, with Masters hitting Mysterio with a backbreaker for a two count. Carlito tagged in, and gave Mysterio a suplex for a two count. Carlito stayed on Mysterio, applying a rear chinlock. Masters checked on Michaels on the floor. Mysterio battled out of the chinlock, booted Carlito, then went for a moonsault, blind tagging JBL along the way. Carlito caught the moonsault, but JBL hit Carlito with the Clothesline From Hell, pinning him.
Carlito is eliminated.
JBL went at it with Masters, and Masters reversed a suplex for a two count. HBK was still down on the floor. Mysterio tagged in and went for a bodypress. Masters caught him, but JBL booted him to the mat. Masters backed Rey into a corner and hit a shoulderblock, but missed a second. Mysterio gave Masters a 619, then hit a springboard legdrop to the back of the head and pinned Masters.
Chris Masters is eliminated.
JBL picked Shawn Michaels up off the floor, rammed him into the announce table, then tossed him into the ring. Rey slid under Michaels' legs, but Michaels caught him with a shot. Rey tripped Michaels and hit a 619, then went for a springboard, but Michaels caught him with a superkick and pinned him.
Rey Mysterio is eliminated.
JBL ran in and went for the Clothesline From Hell, but Michaels ducked it and hit a superkick for the pin.
JBL is eliminated.
Randy Orton came in, measured for the RKO, but Michaels shoved him off and went for a superkick. Michaels put on the breaks and bailed out of the ring, but Michaels dove onto him with a pescado. A "We Want Taker" chant started. Back in the ring, Michaels chopped Orton and hit a flying forearm. Michaels kipped up, hit a reverse atomic drop, and a pair of clotheslines. Michaels slammed Orton, then went to the top rope. Michaels hit the flying elbowdrop, then measured for a superkick. JBL ran in with a chair, and Michaels superkicked him. This distraction allowed Orton to hit Michaels with the RKO to get the pin.
Shawn Michaels is eliminated.
Sole Survivor: Randy Orton.
The Smackdown undercard performers came to the ring and lifted Randy Orton on their shoulders. A gong sounded, and a group of druids brought out a coffin and propped it up the in the aisle. Randy and Bob Orton stared at the coffin, while the Smackdown undercard performers acted like nothing was wrong. A lightning bolt hit the coffin, which burst into flames. Undertaker then emerged from the burning coffin, and walked towards the ring. The Smackdown undercard performers were now paying attention. Undertaker got into the ring and started cleaning house, including chokeslamming Brian Kendrick and giving William Regal a tombstone. The Ortons had already escaped to the aisle. Undertaker made a throat-slashing gesture, and his eyes rolled back into his head. A concerned Randy Orton in the aisle stared at Undertaker in the ring as the show ended.
2009 - Alexis Pillman, the stepdaughter of the late Brian Pillman, who had been working independents on and off in last year as "Sexi" Lexi Pillman, passed away at the age of 26 following an auto accident.
Pillman had debuted as a manager in January 2008, working a Georgia independent group and had appeared for Showtime All-Star Wrestling in TN as a valet for Sean Casey as well as a number of other independent promotions since that time.
She also made an appearance at a June 2008 TNA house show in Cincinnati, where she worked as a ring girl and specific mention was made of her stepfather's heritage to the live crowd.
Sean Casey, who was trained by Brian Pillman, posted a memorial graphic in her memory on his official Myspace.
2010 - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported this morning that Ahmad Gill, the man accused of shooting and killing Lucha Libre USA star Chris "Solid" Long, had his first appearance in court yesterday, proclaiming his innocence.
Gill's appearance in court was to determine whether the State had sufficient evidence to hold Gill behind bars, which the presiding Judge determined was the case. “I'm an innocent man, and I will have my day in trial to prove my innocence," Gill said, according to Atlanta's WSB TV.
Another man, Jason Stephens, has been arrested for making false statements to police and being a party to a crime. He is believed to have driven Gill to Shooter Alley, where Gill fired shots into the club, striking Long and another unidentified man, who was later released from the hospital. His bond is set at $15,000.
During the hearing, Gill continued asking questions of the Judge, even after the Judge had moved onto the next case. As he was being brought to a van to be transported back to jail, Gill told cameramen filming the scene, "I didn't do it. I'm an innocent man."
2011 - Urban Wrestling Federation champion Rasche Brown departed the promotion and was been stripped of the promotion's championship. Brown won the belt during the broadcast of their most recent PPV, Street King.
Word first broke after Brown posted on his Facebook Page that he was, "No longer in any way shape or form affiliated with UWF or Urban Wrestling Federation, so if you supported because of me, thank you... You can stop now..."
Sources indicate that the promotion opted to end negotiations with Brown instead of agreeing to several requests Rasche had asked for in order to return. Talent that worked the first three PPV broadcasts were under contracts that had expired, necessitating new deals for talent appearing on UWF events going forward.
One of those points were said to be how Brown would dress in the ring, which he touched upon in another post on his Facebook, writing, "..There are basic fundamentals in pro wrestling that should not change and I'm not a storm trooper trying to look like the rest of the roster and I don't need some white man who never spent a day in the ghetto trying to tell me how "WE" act and what "WE" wear... "
Where the issues started between the two sides was that the promotion, in wanting to be something more akin to "Grand Theft Auto" than traditional professional wrestling, required the wrestlers to dress in certain styles of garb, as opposed to traditional tights and trunks. Brown requested that he be allowed to dress as he wanted going forward and the promotion, which claimed it had already signed off on previous requests as part of the negotiations, decided they had hit the tipping point and ended negotiations.
When reached for comment, UWF issued the following statement to PWInsider.com: "UWF management is standing by their vision for the product, and wish to only have talent who understands, accepts, and is active in promoting the company and image being projected."
Brown's comments and departure are the latest in an ongoing back and forth between wrestlers who worked the initial taping and UWF management. There's been complaints among some wrestlers, including Ricky Reyes (who also departed the company) over the attention to the hip hop artists as opposed to the wrestlers. Given the unique nature of the promotion, where the idea is to be a hybrid of urban entertainment with pro wrestling, the reality is that without the rap aspect, the promotion probably wouldn't even exist. But, in the eyes of the wrestlers taking bumps, they don't want to be seen as second class citizens.
As it turned out, the promotion already had their out when it came to Brown losing the belt. The night of the first taping, a vignette what shot after the title win where Brown handed the belt over to "persons unknown" after the win. While the vignette was originally designed to be an out in case one of the rappers left the promotion and needed to be replaced as the head of a crew, it instead ran as a cliffhanger on the Street King PPV. Who Brown handed the belt to and why he gave it up will instead be a new storyline that will explored on the fourth PPV outing, which will be taping next month in New York City. The basis of the promotion has been that all the crews want the title and all the money that comes with it, so they are all gunning for the money and power now that the belt is vacant.
In a parting shot at the company, Brown also took umbrage with some of the talents being used by the UWF going forward, writing on his Facebook, "The final straw is word is they will be using guys that are still training on the next PPV... Really? and your not INDY? c'mon man."
When PWInsider.com contacted the UWF for comment on the talent issue, they responded with the following:
"With the above prior explanation to why no contract was offered to Rasche Brown for future UWF tapings, this statement is unfounded and was never an issue at all and was never discussed. This week’s show starts off with a look back at last week’s show and the Beat the Clock Challenge. At the end of the night, Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville had tied for the fastest times of the four qualifying matches. John Layfield announced that we would have a match between those two men to see who will earn the title match against Bo Dallas.
We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom ‘Voice of NXT’ Phillips, Renee ‘Mrs. Sami Zayn’ Young, and William ‘Itching to get back into the ring’ Regal
Before our first match begins, Antonio Cesaro has something to say to Byron Saxton in the ring and he pushes him around. Cesaro grabs Saxton and grabs him by the collar. William Regal leaves the announce table and he goes to the ring and he pulls Saxton out of the ring. Regal stares at Cesaro as he returns to the announce table.
Match Number One: Antonio Cesaro versus Yoshi Tatsu
Yoshi takes advantage of what happened between Regal and Cesaro and he gets a near fall with a rollup. Yoshi with kicks and chops. Yoshi with double chops but Cesaro catbhes him on a spinning heel kick and Cesaro with a spinebuster. Cesaro sends Yoshi into the turnbuckles and Cesaro has a message for Yoshi.
The referee warns Cesaro but Antonio with a European uppercut in the corner. Cesaro with a spinebuster and he signals that it is time for the Giant Swing and he spins Yoshi around. He slows down a bit and then he goes back into second gear until he releases Yoshi. Cesaro stares at Regal while Yoshi struggles to get to his feet.
Cesaro with a European uppercut to the back of the neck and then he applies the sleeper. Yoshi cannot get to the ropes and Yoshi is out, but Cesaro releases the hold before the referee can stop the match. Cesaro with the Gotch Style Neutralizer for the three count.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
After the match, Cesaro continues to stare at Regal.
We go to Devin Taylor in the back with Bo Dallas. She asks Bo about the match tonight between Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville. Bo says that you are looking at this the wrong way. He says that we are all winners because we get to see two youngsters give their all in the ring in front of the world. It is like The Voice, except we don’t have Cee Lo Green.
The winner gets to face him. What an opportunity. It has to be like music to their ears. Neither of them have a chance to beat him. He looks forward to taking one of them under his wing.
From out of nowhere, CJ Parker enters the interview area.
Bo tells Captain Fantastic that the champion is talking.
CJ says that he did not realize he was harshing his mellow.
Bo says that he didn’t realize that CJ was still employed. He asks Pauly Shore the last time that he won a match.
CJ suggests that it is tonight when he beats Bo dead center in the middle of the NXT Universe. Bo got on the dark side of the Moonchild. He tells Bo that he will be shaking in his cowboy boots.
Bo starts to laugh and he tells CJ that he is on.
CJ leaves and we go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Bo Dallas versus CJ Parker in a Non Title Match
They lock up and CJ sends Bo into the turnbuckles. Parker with a rollup for a near fall. Dallas with kicks to Parker. Bo with a series of back elbows. Bo with another elbow and he hits a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Bo with another near fall. Bo with a cravate. Dallas with a near fall while maintaining the cravate.
Parker with an arm drag to escape. Parker with a flying clothesline and a punch. Parker with running knees followed by a leaping side kick. Parker with a modified DDT for a near fall. Parker goes up top but Bo falls into the ropes and Parker is crotched.
Bo with a bulldog out of the corner for the three count.
Winner: Bo Dallas
We go to Devin Taylor in the back with Emma. She asks Emma about her injuries. Emma says that she was attacked in the locker room and she sustained some head injuries. She will be back better than ever and the Emmalution will continue to spread all over the world.
Paige enters the interview area and she says that there will be no excuses when they meet for her title.
Emma asks what excuses are Paige talking about.
Paige mentions when Emma hit her a few weeks ago.
Emma says that it was an accident, just like when Paige hit her the week before.
Paige says that it had to be an accident because if she meant it, Emma would not be standing here.
Emma tells Paige that she doesn’t like her attitude.
Paige tells Emma not to make any sudden movements.
Emma dances away as we go to commercial.
We are back and Paige is in the office and Natalya enters. Natalya wants to know why Paige acted the way she did in the locker room. Paige is surprised that Natalya is even talking to her now that she is Mrs. Hollywood. Paige is surprised that Natalya is even in NXT.
Natalya says that because she is on Total Divas, it does not mean that she isn’t a WWE Diva.
Paige suggests that Natalya doesn’t even care about the WWE Divas Title or the NXT Women’s Championship.
Natalya says that Paige is wrong. They are from similar backgrounds. Their families are involved in wrestling.
Paige says that if Natalya cares so much about the title, she will tell JBL that they should have a match for her Women’s Title.
Natalya says that Paige is coming across with a bad attitude. Natalya will take the chip off her shoulder and the title off her waist.
Match Number Three: Kassius Ohno versus Tyler Breeze
Before Ohno can get to the ring, he is attacked from behind by Alexander Rusev. Rusev returns up the ramp and to the back.
The medical staff checks on Ohno to see if he can wrestle against Breeze.
Breeze with the Beauty Shot for the three count.
Winner: Tyler Breeze
Summer, Charlotte, and Sasha are looking at photos and then Charlotte leaves because they see Bayley coming.
Bayley wants to know where Charlotte is because she wants to talk to her about the slap two weeks ago.
Summer says that Charlotte doesn’t want to talk to her because she has moved up in the world. It looks like Bayley’s friends Emma and Paige cannot get along.
Bayley wants to talk to Charlotte now.
Summer tells Bayley that Charlotte does not want to talk to her and she tells Bayley to scram and eat some donuts.
Bayley says that we will see who the loser in is their tag match.
Summer says that Bayley doesn’t have any friends, so who is she going to tag with.
Bayley says that she has friends.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn are with Devin Taylor. She asks Adrian about the match with Sami. Adrian says that they go back a long way. Tonight, is not about friendship. It is about the NXT Championship. It is about getting to Raw and to Smackdown. Look at what happened to the past champions. They were part of Wrestlemania this year. That is what this is about.
Sami says that he couldn’t have said it better. He is a friend who he has wrestled all over the world. They are friends and they are competitive. They know what is at stake. Sami says that Adrian knows what he will do to get there because he had it in his hands before.
Adrian knows if that means that Sami wants it more.
Sami says that he will do anything to win, whether it is an enemy or a friend.
Match Number Four: Hunico and Camacho versus Konnor O’Brian and Rick Viktor in a Non Title Match
Viktor and Camacho start things off and Viktor with punches and he sends Camacho into the turnbuckles. Viktor kicks Camacho in the corner and the referee warns Viktor. Camacho with head butts and punches followed by kicks. Camacho with a belly-to-back suplex and he hits a leaping leg drop.
Hunico tags in and Camacho with a slam and Hunico with a slingshot senton. Hunico gets a near fall. Hunico with a springboard cross body for a near fall. Viktor with a clothesline and he tags in Konnor. O’Brian with a kick and punch to Hunico. Konnor with more kicks to Hunico followed by a hard Irish whip. Konnor with a near fall. Konnor runs Hunico into the turnbuckles and he kicks Hunico.
Viktor tags in and he kicks Hunico. Konnor tags back in and he punches Hunico while Viktor holds them. Konnor with an elbow to the back of the neck. Viktor tags in and they hit a double hip toss slam. Konnor clotheslines Camacho over the top rope to the floor. Hunico with a counter into an inside cradle for the three count.
Winners: Hunico and Camacho

Match Number Five: Adrian Neville versus Sami Zayn in a Number One Contender’s Match
They shake hands before the match starts. Neville goes for the legs but Zayn moves out of the way. They lock up and Zayn with a wrist lock. Neville with a reversal but Zayn with another reversal. Neville with a reversal. Zayn with a reversal of his own. Neville with another reversal and he gets Zayn to the mat.
Neville with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Zayn with arm drags and then he does the circular arm drag and Neville backs himself into the turnbuckles to stop Zayn’s offense. Zayn with a single leg take down and he gets Neville on the mat. Neville kicks Zayn away but Zayn with a back drop and Neville lands on his feet. Neville with a head scissors that sends Zayn to the floor. Zayn with a back elbow and Neville rolls to the floor.
Zayn with a flip dive onto Neville and we go to commercial.
We are back and Neville with chops but Zayn chops back. They go back and forth with chops. Neville is down in the corner and he applies a reverse chin lock on Neville. Neville with punches to get away but Zayn with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Zayn waits for Neville to get up for the Yakuza Kick but Neville falls to the mat and Zayn goes over the top rope to the floor.
Neville with a kick from the apron and he hits an Asai Moonsault on Zayn. Neville rolls Zayn back in and Neville hits a springboard drop kick and he gets a near fall. Neville tries to go up top but Zayn grabs the leg. Neville with a side head lock and an enzuigiri.
Neville tries for a handspring move into the corner but Zayn catches Neville and hits a Blue Thunder Driver but Neville kicks out at two. Zayn tries for a slam but Neville lands on his feet. They have a series of standing switches. Zayn with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Zayn runs into a boot from Neville.
Zayn looks like he is out on his feet after that boot. Neville with a handspring into a rana for a near fall. Neville goes to the turnbuckles but Zayn gets up while Neville is on the apron. Neville with a round kick to the head that sends Zayn back to the mat. Neville goes up top for the Red Arrow but Zayn gets to his feet.
Zayn with a forearm to Neville and Neville is hanging from the turnbuckles. Zayn sets for a superplex, or more. Neville with forearms to stop him. Neville with a head butt and Zayn falls to the mat. Neville hits Red Arrow and gets the three count.
Winner: Adrian Neville
After the match, Neville offers his hand to Zayn but Zayn kicks it away and he hugs Neville.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Renee Young, and Jason Albert.
Match Number One: Tyler Breeze versus Marcus Louis
Louis hesitates to remove the towel from the top of his head and Tyler wants to see what is under the towel, but he is a little hesitant to look. The referee tells Louis to take off the towel.
Tyler takes the mic and he wants to know if he is expected to take on the ugo of all ugos? He says that he doesn’t care what Marcus does but he will not recreate something from Lord of the Rings where Tyler is his precious. He takes off the towel and tells Marcus to leave.
Tyler asks if Marcus is not only ugly but stupid. He calls Marcus a freak and says that nobody will love him.
Tyler with the Beauty Shot for the three count.
Winner: Tyler Breeze
After the match, Marcus takes Tyler’s ring jacket while he screams and then he goes up the ramp before returning to the ring. Louis throws a tantrum in the ring.

We are back and we see footage of Marcus walking out of the building during the commercial break.
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady make their way to the ring. They accompany Carmella to the ring.
Enzo says that he has a surprise for Carmella and Colin says that he is so excited.
The crowd chants for "Blue Pants" and Enzo introduces "Blue Pants".
Match Number Two: Carmella versus Leva "Blue Pants" Bates
They lock up and Leva with a wrist lock into a hammer lock. Carmella with an elbow and shoulder tackle. Carmella with a drop kick or two. Carmella with a head scissors submission and Leva taps out.
Winner: Carmella
Finn Balor is asked about his match and he says that he is here to make a big impact. Finn says that the future is now. He is asked about Tyson’s comments from last week. Finn says that he hopes Tyson sends his uncle a copy of this match.

We are back and it is confirmed that the Lucha Dragons will defend the NXT Tag Titles against The Vaudevillains.
Match Number Three: Sin Cara and Kalisto versus Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan in a Non Title Match
Cara and Dillinger start things off and Dillinger with a wrist lock. Cara with a hammer lock and take down. Cara with an arm bar and Kalisto tags in. They give Dillinger a double snap mare and double kick. Cara picks up Kalisto for a back senton and he gets a near fall. Kalisto with an arm bar and Cara tags in and he goes up top for a double sledge to the arm.
Cara avoids trouble in the other corner but Jordan tags in and he kicks Cara. Jordan with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Jordan mocks Kalisto and then he punches Kalisto on the apron. Cara with a punch to Jordan but Jordan with a kick. Dillinger tags in and Jordan with a slam and Dillinger with a boot to Cara for a near fall.
Dillinger stomps on Cara and he tags in Jordan. Cara reverses an Irish whip and Dillinger runs into Jordan’s boots. Cara with a rollup and then he tags in Kalisto for a springboard cross body. Kalisto with a springboard corkscrew cross body. Kalisto with an arm drag off the turnbuckles to Dillinger. Cara with a suicide dive onto Dillinger and Kalisto with the SDS to Jordan for the three count.
Winners: Sin Cara and Kalisto
We go to footage from last week when Charlotte came to save Bayley from Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.

We are back with Kevin Owens. He knew that to provide for his family, he would not work in a warehouse, he would fight people. He has been fighting for 14 years to get to the WWE. He will fight anyone when he gets here because that is what he does. Everyone has picked against him and he enjoys proving them wrong. He says that he is going to change everything.
Bayley makes her way to the ring because she has something to say.
Bayley mentions that she doesn't have a match tonight, but she wanted to be here. Her friend Charlotte said that she shouldn't be here tonight because Charlotte wouldn't have her back. She was told that Sasha and Becky are bullies, but she has dealt with bullies her entire life.
Bayley says that her mom told her to stand up to the bullies because bullies are cowards.
Sasha Banks' music plays and she comes out with Becky Lynch.
Bayley goes after Sasha but Becky hits Bayley from behind and goes after her knee.. They stand over Bayley and referees come to the ring to separate them.
Natalya is asked about Tyson's match with Finn Balor and she says that it is a way for Tyson to show something he has never shown before. Tyson says that you could ask him for his thoughts about Finn. Two weeks ago with Justin Gabriel, they got the best of him. Tyson says that he has been working with his uncle Bret Hart and there is a new Hitman on the horizon. Finn has all of this hype and smoke and mirrors. He is good, but not as good as everyone says.
Natalya wants Tyson to hug her but Tyson asks about the cats and says that he has to spend some time with the cats.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a Vaudevillains video where they show their training regimen in a silent film while they foil the Lucha Dragons' attempt to one up them.
We are told that Sasha Banks will be Charlotte's opponent for the Womens' Title at R Evolution.
Hideo Itami and Finn Balor versus the Ascension is also made official for R Evolution.
Match Number Four: Finn Balor versus Tyson Kidd (with Natalya)
Kidd with a waist lock but Balor with a standing switch. Kidd with a hammer lock but Balor with a waist lock and Kidd gets to the ropes. They lock up and Balor with a wrist lock but Kidd with a reversal. Balor with a reversal and hip lock into an arm bar. Kidd with a knee and side head lock take down.
Kidd gets to his feet and Kidd with a kick and snap mare followed by another reverse chin lock. Balor with a drop kick and Kidd goes to the floor to regroup. Balor sets for a dive to the floor but Kidd hides behind Natalya and Balor stops before going airborne.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kidd misses a charge into the corner and Balor with an enzuigiri. Balor tries for a springboard move but Kidd with a drop kick that sends Balor to the floor. Kidd goes to the floor and he hits a neck breaker on the floor. Kidd picks up Balor and sends him back into the ring. Kidd gets a near fall.
Kidd with an elbow to the bridge of the nose and then he connects with forearms in the corner. The referee has to pull Kidd out of the corner. Kidd chokes Balor and then he slingshots Balor’s throat into the bottom turnbuckle. Kidd gets a near fall. Kidd with a reverse chin lock. Balor with forearms but Kidd with a back heel kick. Kidd with a hard Irish whip to Balor. Kidd puts Balor in the Tree of Woe.
Kidd with knees to the midsection and Kidd tells Natalya he wanted her to choke Balor but since she does not, he shows her what he wanted her to do. Kidd with a hesitation drop kick for a near fall. Kidd gets a near fall. Kidd and Natalya have some words before Kidd returns to Balor. Kidd with a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall. Kidd with a reverse chin lock.
Kidd asks the referee to asks Balor in Irish. Balor gets to his feet and Balor with a forearm. Kidd with a kick and he tries for a suplex but Balor lands on his feet and Balor with a chop. Balor with a running chop into the corner. Balor with an Irish whip and a running chop into the corner. Kidd misses a kick and Balor with a Pele Kick and a twisting brainbuster for a near fall.
Balor waits for Kidd to get up and he charges into a boot. Kidd goes to the turnbuckles but Balor with an enzuigiri that knocks Kidd to the mat. Balor goes up top and he tries for the double stomp but Kidd moves. Kidd tries fr the Sharpshooter but Balor kicks him away. Balor charges into the corner but Kidd with a drop toe hold that sends Balor into the turnbuckles. Kidd with a slingshot leg drop to the apron for a near fall.
Kidd goes to the apron and he tries fr the springboard elbow drop but Balor gets his knees up. Balor with a running kick to the head and then Balor goes up top, but Konnor and Viktor come to the ring and they attack Balor and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Finn Balor (by disqualification)
After the match, the assault continues but Hideo Itami makes his way to the ring to help Balor. They square off in the ring until officials and other wrestlers make their way to the ring.
