2002 - Major League Wrestling holds their second ever event, "Reload", at the Manhattan Center in New York City. The show sees participation from Mexico's Shocker, La Parka and Super Crazy, as well as rare U.S. appearances by All Japan's Satoshi Kojima and Taiyo Kea. Here are the results:

Crowd estimate was about 400, but that is just an estimate.

- Show opened with a moment of silence for Ted Petty and a ten bell salute.  After the moment of silence, fans chanted "Rocco" and ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis joined the crowd in waving their arms in the air, ala Public Enemy's old ECW entrance.

- Crazy Cabbie of Howard Stern fame came out and announced that Jerry Lynn and Satoshi Kojima won the lottery to determine who would wrestle for the MLW Title.  Taiyo Kea and Sabu, who lost the lottery, would wrestle to select the number one contender.  Kea came out, upset he was not in the title match, and Bill Alfonso came out and confronted Kea, leading to Sabu, Lynn and Kojima hitting the ring and having a brief brawl.

- Super Crazy defeated Fuego Guerrero by reversing a rana into a powerbomb.  Fans chanted "Red" at Guerrero all night (and it was him under the mask).

- Joel Gertner came out, and teased that he was going to leave wrestling, then introduced his new tag team of "Dr. Death" Steve Williams & PJ Friedman.  Williams mocked the Samoans, who were not there (the promotion apparently found out at 6pm that they would not be showing).  Williams and Friedman defeated Afterburn & Eric Adams when Williams hit the backdrop driver on Afterburn.

- La Parka defeated Shocker with a top rope twisting senton to a standing Shocker.  La Parka's chair flew out of the ring at one point, hitting the timekeeper on the head and cutting her open.  She appeared to be okay after the show.

- Christopher Daniels, Dick Togo & Ikuto Hidaka defeated the Maximos & Quiet Storm when Daniels hit Last Rites on Storm.  Dick Togo apparently hurt his ankle after taking Spanish Fly from the Maximos.  Originally, this was to be Daniels & Low Ki vs. Togo & Hidaka, but Low Ki was out with an ankle injury.

- C.W. Anderson defeated Devon Storm with a  spinebuster on a chair.

- Terry Funk defeated Chris Candido when Candido reversed a spinning toehold into a small package, but Funk reversed it into a small package of his own for the pin.  Funk was a bloody mess during the match.  Candido was accompanied by Tammy Sytch, who was introduced as "Sunny".

- Steve Corino vs. Vampiro in a New York Streetfight became a three way dance when the Sandman joined them.  Sandman superplexed Corino (who bled) onto a piece of guardrail, and Vampiro pinned Sandman, eliminating him.  Corino eliminated Vampiro, and won the match, with a stunner off the second rope.

- Taiyo Kea defeated Sabu with a Hawaii 5-0 (torture rack into a neckbreaker) to become the number one contender for the MLW title.

- Satoshi Kojima defeated Jerry Lynn with a lariat to become the MLW Champion.  After the match, Kojima thanked the fans on the microphone, and promised to come back soon.  Kea came out on the stage to stare down Kojima to end the show.

2002 - Phoenix Championship Wrestling TV aired their weekly TV in New Jersey.  Eric McHugh filed the following TV report:

PCW "Firebird TV"
09/26/2K2

Hello once again Phoenixphiles, and welcome to this week's edition of "Firebird TV". Well, at least the report of this week's "Firebird TV", if nothing else. I'm Eric McHugh, and this week's show comes to you from the outdoor event in Lavallette, New Jersey. We see no less than four debuting talents in PCW this week, as well as the tag-title titles up for grabs for the first time since being vacated by Evolution some months back, as 'Da Hit Squad bring their style straight into the faces of United Nations. Here we go with the report...

The program starts off with a quick promo by the debuting "Debonair" Damian Adams, who says tonight his opponent will discover why he's called "Debonair." I'm not sure personally how being debonair wins you matches, but hey, I've never been in the ring, so what do I know? Cue the best opening highlight reel since the days of UWF Power Pro Wrestling, and then it's to the ring...outdoors! This week's action comes from Lavallette, New Jersey, outdoors on a hot August evening. Mike Kehner is our official as the debonair one takes on the debuting Rob Eckos. Steve Mlenak and Gerry Strauss handle announcing duties this week, and they state that both men have wrestled each other in other indy organizations in the past, so they should know each other well. Eckos and Adams exchange armbars to start off until Eckos hits a series of armdrags and clotheslines Adams over the ropes. Eckos then loses his mind and executes a tope to Adams outside...on the ASPHALT. I wouldn't want my bare back landing on the asphalt outdoors on a hot August evening. Eckos tosses Adams back in and he repeatedly rams the head of Adams into the top turnbuckle. Eckos finishes, but Adams pulls a page out of Terry Funk 101 and continues to bounce his head off the buckle as if it's now involuntary. The crowd digs the spot, and Adams keeps it going by coming out of the corner, holding up a hand, and flopping down face-first. Eckos covers for 2. Adams tries to escape the ring, but crotches himself on the post leaving. Eckos drags him up and whips him into the corner. Adams reverses it and catches Eckos, dropping him with a powerbomb. Adams chokes him on the ropes, but Eckos fights back until getting drilled with a clothesline. Both men exchange chops until Adams goes to the eyes and slaps on a snapmare into a side chinlock. Eckos eventually gets to his feet and pushes off, and both men hit simultaneous clotheslines. Eckos gets up first and hits a flying back elbow smash off the ropes, then counters an Adams ropes reversal with a headscissors for 2. Eckos goes to the top and hits a flying body press, but Adams rolls through and gets 2. Adams doesn't like the call, so he shoves Kehner. Kehner shoves back and Eckos rolls Adams up for a quick 2. Both men take turns blocking crescent kicks and Adams hits a slam. He goes to the top, but Eckos bounces the ropes and Adams crotches himself. Eckos comes off the top with a rana and gets the 3-count. Rob Eckos is your winner! After the match, Adams grabs the celebrating Eckos off the corner and nails a running powerbomb, then follows it up with a frog splash before he heads out.

In-between each match we get an update on upcoming PCW events. I'll make it more interesting and name a couple of matches at a time here. October 18, PCW is back in Toms River for the Monster Bash, where 12 of the greatest movie villains of all time will battle it out for ring supremacy. Also, PCW champ Malice defends against top contender Matt Vandal, and Eric Justice looks for revenge against Donnie Bon Jovi. Then, on November 2, PCW runs at the Middle School in Point Pleasant with a special show honoring and being visited by the former 3-time, 3-time, 3-time WCW World Champion, Pt. Pleasant born-and-bred Diamond Dallas Page! Also on that show, Chi Chi Cruz takes on Joey Matthews, and Matt Vandal goes at it with Jimmy Vegas. More matches to be announced later in the report.

Right now, we're back to the ring for a Triple Threat match, featuring the debuting Sonjay Dutt, who hails from Saudi Arabia. Hmmm...could there be a connection with Dutt and the United Nations? Dutt comes to the ring, flips off the top into the ring, and then proceeds to dance in a manner that if I ever tried to do it, I'd break at least 14 bones. Dutt will take on Little Ricky and Slayer in this match, where the first pinfall wins. Slayer is announced as weighing 4 million pounds. I think the heat was getting to the ring announcer. Sonny Ocho, Bamboo's #1 bartender, is our referee. Dutt starts the match by jumping Slayer from behind while Ricky decides to wait on the ring apron. Dutt lays in some punches, whips Slayer into a corner, and executes a handspring elbow, except for instead of the handspring he executes a full-fledged backflip. Slayer ducks a clothesline off the ropes and hits an elbow and a slam, followed by a dropkick to Dutt, who bails out. Ricky jumps off the apron to tell Dutt to get back in there, and Slayer hits Dutt with a baseball slide. Ricky helps Dutt up, and Slayer comes off the top rope to both men outside the ring. Did I mention outside the ring was asphalt outdoors on a hot August evening? Ricky and Slayer get back in the ring first, and Ricky opens up the offense. Dutt climbs to the apron and hits Ricky with a series of shoulderdrives before springboarding off the top rope with a clothesline. Dutt then hits a nice variation on RVD's Rolling Thunder, starting off with a twisting cartwheel instead of the forward roll. The crowd's starting to dig Dutt's innovative offense. Dutt gets a 2-count. Ricky ducks a clothesline and hits a spin heel kick on Dutt for 2. Dutt hits a low blow and sends Ricky to the floor just as Slayer hits Dutt from behind and executes a ropes clothesline. Slayer then bites Dutt until Ricky returns and nails Slayer. Ricky stomps, and hits some forearms, and then a clothesline. Ricky slams Slayer and climbs to the second rope, but he misses a legdrop. Or was it an elbowdrop? Maybe it was a hipdrop. Whatever it was, he missed it. Rough landing, too. Dutt climbs to the top and hits a senton bomb on Ricky for 2. Slayer makes the save, and then HE covers Ricky for 2. Dutt makes the save. Dutt hits a back elbow smash on Slayer, but then misses an Asai moonsault. Ricky decides to go back to the ring apron to regroup, but doesn't notice Slayer sneak up and guillotine him over the top rope. Slayer then drops an elbow on Dutt and covers him. Problem is, Dutt's on his stomach. Kim-Chee...erm...I mean, Sonny Ocho tries to tell Slayer that he can't win that way. Ricky returns to the ring and Slayer and Dutt actually double up on him with a clothesline. Dutt then goes back to beating up Slayer, and he and Ricky now team up. Slayer falls prey to both men corner splashing him (Dutt somersaulting before his), but soon is able to clothesline both foes. Slayer hits Dutt with a springboard back elbow and slam, then climbs to the top rope, but he misses the splash. Dutt whips Slayer into the corner, but Slayer reverses it and splashes Dutt. Slayer then goes to the outside with apparently an idea in mind, as Ricky gets back to his feet. Dutt recovers and kicks Ricky down, then comes off the top with a 450 splash for the 3-count. Sonjay Dutt is your winner in pretty impressive fashion.

More upcoming matches for PCW. October 18 in Toms River, Slayer will have another shot at Sonjay Dutt, this time one-on-one. Also, Frankie Kazarian returns to Toms River to defend his PCW TV title against a hot newcomer--as well as the newly-crowned Ring of Honor champion--Xavier! November 2 in Point Pleasant, Alexis Laree and Kara Slice will finally have their first officially-sanctioned match, and United Nations defend their tag-team titles against Slayer and Father Osbourne!

Back to the ring we go. Sonny Ocho is our official once again, as the Matrix leader General Zeig teams with the debuting Diecast Daniels to take on two of PCW's more popular young superstars, Matt Vandal and Eric Justice. The heels go on the attack right away, but Vandal and Justice fight them off. Vandal press slams Daniels onto Zeig, and both heels are clotheslined to the asphalt outdoors on a hot August evening. Justice goes outside and knocks their heads together for good measure before throwing Daniels back in. Vandal hits a snap suplex on Daniels, but DD goes to the eyes before tagging in Zeig. Zeig comes in like a house afire...and hits one punch. Then one turnbuckle smash. Then one punch. Then another. Slowly. One at a time. Someone wake this guy up! Z-Z-Z-Z-Z...Zeig whips Vandal into the corner, but Vandal catches him coming with a boot to the face before nailing an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. 2-count, Daniels makes the save. Justice tags back in and he and Vandal hit a flapjack on Zeig. Justice is reversed into the ropes, but he ducks a clothesline and hits a nice powerslam for 1. Daniels again makes the save. Justice hits the corner 10-punch (I'll pop when someone goes up to 11 one of these days) and then whips Zeig into the opposite corner, but Zeig catches him coming with an elbow, followed by a vicious clothesline. Tag to Daniels, and he and Zeig double-clothesline Justice for 2. Daniels is reversed into the ropes and Justice hits a belly-to-belly throwplex. He then tags in Vandal, but Ocho is distracted by Zeig and doesn't allow the tag. Zeig meanwhile holds Justice for a Daniels legdrop off the second rope. Daniels tries several pins, but gets only 2 each time. Daniels goes to the top rope, with the Lavallette water tower in the background, and Justice catches him with a superplex off the top. Both men make tags, and Vandal cleans the clock of both Zeig and Daniels. Two clothesline, two dropkicks (showing great agility for a big man), and a slam to Daniels. Vandal then picked up Daniels as if he was going to powerbomb him, but while in the air Justice comes off the top with a clothesline to Daniels. Nice double-team move, and it gets the pin. Winners are Justice and Vandal!

One more reminder of the upcoming events; here are some more matches. October 18 in Toms River, Chi Chi Cruz will take on the debuting Giovanni Ribisi, United Nations defend their tag belts against Precious Metals, and AJ Styles will make his PCW debut! Also, don't forget about the Monster Bash battle royale. On November 2 in Point Pleasant, Malice will defend his PCW title against longtime nemesis Devon Storm (AKA Crowbar, AKA the first professional wrestler to graduate from Kean College/University). Don't forget about Diamond Dallas Page being there that night as well!

Fade in to two bad mo'fo's in Mafia and Monsta Mack. Mafia says 'Da Hit Squad is here to stay in PCW, and their goal is to be #1. Monsta Mack says they're #1 for a reason, and the UN will find out why tonight. The stories heard of DHS are true. Mafia finishes by saying it's gonna be hotter than hell tonight....oh, and by the way, "You're watching Firebird TV." Mike Kehner brings the belts to the ring, as the winners here get the vacant titles. United Nations comes out first, with Prophet hilariously intimidating the kids around the ring. Mlenak and Strauss wonder about Sonjay Dutt being a part of the United Nations since he hails from where Tiger Khan does. 'Da Hit Squad come out next to quite an ovation. Monsta Mack and Tiger Khan start things off, and they decide to have a battle of strength. Both men come off the ropes with clotheslines to no avail. Take two, same result. Take three...Mack ducks Khan's clothesline and hits an overhead belly-to-belly! Mafia and Prophet tag in and they exchange punches and chops. Mafia whips Prophet into a corner and hits a backsplash. He then whips Prophet into the opposite corner, and Mack whips Mafia into Prophet with a rolling corner splash that looks like it hurt like hell. Khan and Mafia then exchange blows until Prophet nails Mafia from behind and allows for Khan to gain the advantage with a superkick. 2-count. Khan hits a double gut stomp and tags in Prophet, who drops a leg on Mafia for a 2-count. Prophet goes to the top, but Mafia catches him and slams him off. Monsta Mack is tagged in, and he covers Prophet for 2. Mack hits a ropes powerslam for another 2. Mack whips Prophet into the ropes once again, but he makes a blind tag to Khan, and the UN hit their Sanction for 2. Khan rakes the eyes of Mack before opening up on him with a flurry of offense, culminating with a fast elbowdrop for 2. Prophet tags back in and he hits three boots to the face before finally knocking MM down. However, Mack bounces right back up and clotheslines the stuffing (ShopRite, aisle 14!) out of Prophet. Both men tag out, and Mafia wails away on both UN members. However, Prophet eventually sneaks in a Yazuka kick to let Khan lay in some blows. Mafia reverses a corner whip and nails a vicious German release suplex on Khan. Prophet comes back in and hits a superkick on Mafia, but then misses a moonsault. Mack comes in to aid his partner. Mafia hits a fisherman's buster on Prophet, then slaps on the figure-four leglock as his partner comes off the top with a rather LARGE frog splash! Crowd pops big as Khan is still out from the suplex...but Kehner tries to get Monsta Mack out of the ring as Mafia has Prophet covered. Suddenly...sure enough, Sonjay Dutt has run out, and he nails Mafia in the head with the Prophet's walking stick. Mafia falls off of Prophet, and Dutt drapes the Prophet's limp arm over him and scurries off. Kehner turns around, sees the pin, and counts it! Winners, in a definite upset, and newly-crowned PCW tag-team champions, are the United Nations! After the match, DHS get on the mic and swear revenge on the "3 Stooges".

The show closes up with a reminder of upcoming PCW events, and comments from the United Nations, now with 3 members! Prophet puts over the "Cobra" Sonjay Dutt, while Khan says he went home to get his brother to join their crusade. Dutt speaks in his native tongue, but seems to say the UN is stronger then ever. I'd be hard-pressed to disagree.

That concludes this week's "Firebird TV". Don't forget to check out PHOENIXWRESTLING.COM for upcoming show dates, bios, and everything else under the sun. Thankx, as always, for checking out the report, and we'll see you next week. I'm Eric McHugh.

2002 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Kelly G. filed the following TV report:

Smackdown starts with a match.

Rikishi vs. Chavo Guerrero - When the bell rang, Chavo jumped out of the ring and Rikishi jumped out to follow. Chavo makes a move back into the ring to try to get a jump on the match. Rikishi tossed Guerrero out of the ring. Chavo gets on the top rope and Rikishi catches him coming down and gives him a Chokeslam. Chavo gets Rikishi in the corner and goes to give Rikishi a Stinkface; Chavo is unsuccessful as Rikishi pushes him out to the middle of the ring. Chavo now in the corner and Rikishi goes for the Stinkface, Chavo slides out from under Rikishi and Rikishi gives him a Chokeslam, goes for the rumpshaker and Chavo puts his knees up to stop. Chavo goes for a three count, but only gets two, Chavo grabs the camera from the cameraman and goes to hit Rikishi with hit, Rikishi gives him a kick that knocks him down, and goes for the rumpshaker again to win the match.

Rikishi gives us a dance on the walkway and the crowd loves it.

Backstage: We see Torrie in her robe rubbing lotion on her legs and fixing her hair getting ready for her bikini match against Nidia.

Bikini competition: Tazz in the ring announcing the judges are Billy and Chuck. First comes Torrie Wilson in a pink terry cloth robe. Then out comes Nidia, in the same robe, but instead of high heels, she has on tennis shoes. Rules are: they have 30 seconds to show their stuff. Nidia goes first, wearing a black bikini, and starts dancing in the ring. Billy and Chuck said it was great and they were speechless. Chuck gave it a six, and Billy gave it a 9, giving Nidia a total of 15. Torrie is next, She is wearing a pink bikini with ruffles, (no thong), and does a sexy dance in the ring. Both Billy and chuck give her a ten, with a total of twenty. Nidia was not happy and left the ring pouting, Billy and Chuck go in the ring to raise Torrie's hands.

Jamie Noble comes out, saying, no and that there is no way in hell they are going to rank his Nidia lower than Torrie Wilson and calls for a match.

Billy and Chuck vs. Jamie Noble and Taijiri - Match starts right away. Billy gets the Code Red on Taijiri to win the match.

Nidia spits her gum at Torrie and Torrie goes after her, we get to see Torrie and Nidia in the match. Torrie spanking Nidia in the ring before Nidia can get out and run to the back.

Backstage: We see Funaki go to Brock's locker room, Brock comes out and Funaki says he is not smart and has a hard hitting question for Brock. Brock messes up Funaki's hair and tells him to go ahead with his question, Funaki asks if it's true that Brock would not give the Undertaker a match for WWE championship. He says that's the question everyone wants to know, but Funaki is the only one who has guts to ask him to his face. Brock says he'll answer his question but not here, in the ring. Funaki was happy and said 'see you in the ring'.

Steph's office: Kurt Angle comes in, saying how funny it was what Steph did to Eric at the PPV. He says he wants a rematch of him and Chris Benoit. Steph said she knew he would come to ask for a rematch. She said she has something else in mind for the main event. We see Rey Mysterio in the office. Steph announces that tonight's main event is Kurt vs. Benoit vs. Rey Mysterio. Angle asked why would she want to involve Mysterio, because it's his hometown? Because he was born here 8 years ago? He says to Rey, he'll be the one to get the one-two-three. Rey said "You plan on getting the 1 2 3? Not if I get the 619".

Commercial

Funaki is in the ring. And calls out Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar walks out with Paul Heyman. Brock enters the ring and looks at Funaki holding a chair.

Brock enters the ring and Funaki says "Mr. Lesnar, Undertaker hit you with this chair." Brock picks it up and looks it over, then throws in down and Funaki drops the mic and is scared. He hits Brock in the face and hits him a few more times. Brock stops him and throws him about the ring. Funaki tries to crawl away but Brock picks him up and slams him into the turnbuckle. He then throws Funaki across the ring. Brock gives Funaki the F5. Brock's music starts and Brock kicks Funaki around the ring and then tosses him out.

Backstage: We see Dawn Marie congratulating Torrie for winning the bikini contest, and hopes that one day we'll have a contest with someone who has something more to offer, like herself.

Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero -  Eddie goes straight to Edge, putting him in the corner. But that didn't last long. Eddie gets Edge in a shoulder lock, and Edge gets out of it. Edge gets to the top rope, Eddie is up there as well and gives Edge a superplex from the top rope. Eddie goes for a cover and Edge kicks out. Edge gets Eddie on his shoulders and drops him on the ropes. Then gives him a clothesline sending him outside the ring. Edge gets a ladder out from under the ring; He runs to hit Eddie but misses and catches the ref with the ladder. Eddie gets Edge back in the ring and hits him with the chair. Eddie gets up on the top rope and goes for a frog splash but Edge moves out of the way at the last moment. Both men are down!

Eddie goes for a sleeper hold on Edge. Eddie has it locked in. Another ref has come out. (they show what happens during the commercial, looks as though Edge would have won the match, but the ref took to long getting out there and Edge only got a two count before Eddie kicked out.) Eddie gives Edge the leg scissors from the top rope and goes for a three count, but Edge kicked out at two. Edge gets out of the ring and gets the ladder again. Tosses it in the ring and goes after Eddie with it, but Eddie counters it and kicks the ladder, sending Edge down. Eddie gets out of the ring and gets another ladder and tosses it into the ring. Eddie knocks Edge onto one ladder and then lays the other ladder on top. Eddie flips over the ropes landing on the ladder, crunching Edge. Eddie goes for the three count and Edge gets his shoulder up. Eddie then sets up a ladder in the corner and climbs on top of it. Edge then climbs on the other side of the ladder giving Eddie some punches and Eddie returning them. Eddie gives Edge a spin out powerbomb from the top of the ladder. Edge crawls over to Edge for the three count and Edge kicks out! Eddie has the ladder set up in the corner and lays Edge in front of it. Eddie goes running to the corner, Edge stops him and tosses him over his head into the ladder. Edge gets another ladder set up in the corner and is on top of the ladder. Eddie climbs up as well. Edge gives Eddie and Edgecution and wins the match.

They show many replays of the match before going to another commercial.

Kurt Angle congratulates Chris. Benoit looks at him and says 'you suck', then laughs and says that's what the people chant when he walks to the ring. But, he then says that in the ring, Angle is the "toughest sob", and he is looking forward to being in the ring with him tonight.

Matt Hardy showing Shannon Moore what he did to the Hurricane. He said that he hurt the Hurricane so bad he had to run to another show. He also said he was the one who had UT on the run the last two times. Shannon states that he thinks it was Brock Lesnar that did that and not him.

Briefly we see Brock Lesnar in the back before commercial.

Back from commercial we see a clip promoting Wrestlemania and see the press conference that was aired in Seattle announcing Wrestlemania coming there in March. (On a personal note I caught that on the Internet and thought it was very entertaining).

Undertaker vs. Matt Hardy -  This match started with Matt wanted to shake Undertaker's hand. Undertaker does, but wont let go and sends Hardy into the corner of the ring. Undertaker goes running into the ring and Matt Hardy stops him with a kick. Matt Hardy kicks Undertaker. And Undertaker stops him and gives him a chokeslam. Undertaker then wins the match. But Brock Lesnar comes in and hits UT with the belt busting Undertaker's head and making him bleed. Brock does it again. UT tries to get to his feet. The referees are telling Brock to leave the ring. Brock is smiling as he leaves the ring, and Heyman asks Brock how he feels. The crowd chants "a******" as Brock leaves the ring.

They show that during the commercial break Undertaker was struggling to get to his feet and get backstage. He kept falling down as he walked up the ramp to get backstage. They show him backstage, aggravated, as the medical staff tries to take care of him.

Angle talks in the ring about his match. He says that Rey claims to be from San Diego and that that's something to brag about. The crowd boos him. And he asks if they are from San Diego. They cheer. He says that Rey thinks he's impressive with the 619, but tonight Rey will need another number and that's 911.

Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit -  Benoit comes to the ring first and him and Angle have a few words, as Rey Mysterio comes to the ring.  The crowd is really pumped up to see this match. Rey enters the ring and we go right at it. Non-stop action. Benoit and Angle rolling around on the match trying to get each other in holds. They see Rey get up on the ring and Angle knocks him down, then they go back to rolling around. Rey again tries to get in the ring and Benoit knocks him down. Angle and Benoit are at it again. Rey makes it into the ring. Chris Benoit gives Rey a high impact back suplex. Benoit goes for a cover on Rey but Rey kicks out. Benoit gives Rey an atomic drop. Benoit goes for a cover and again Rey kicks. Benoit throws Rey out of the ring. Angle comes from behind and attacks Benoit. Angle goes for a cover, Benoit kicks out. Angle and Benoit battle it out as Angle goes for a cover and Benoit gets his foot on the ropes. Benoit starts with his German suplexes, he gets a couple on Angle but Angle counters it and gives Benoit a German suplex of his own. Rey Mysterio gets a drop-kick on Benoit from behind and goes for a three count on Benoit, Benoit kicks out. Angle grabs Rey from outside the ring and tosses him out of the ring. Angle gets Benoit in the ankle lock, but Benoit makes it to the ropes. Rey pulls a double 619 on both Benoit and Angle. Benoit gets Angle in the cross face. Angle tries for the ropes, Angle rolled over on Benoit, Benoit has Angle in the hold and Rey gets on the ropes and gets a springboard on both Angle and Benoit. Mysterio gets a head scissors on Benoit and wins the match.

2002 - CZW aired Fake You TV on Channel 48 in Philadelphia.  Phil X. filed the following TV report:

CZW Fake You TV Episode #63
9/26/02 on WGTW Channel 48 out of Burlington/Philadelphia

A limo is seen arriving at Viking Hall. Lobo, Rockin' Rebel, Z-Barr, Greg Matthews, Adam Flash, and Danny Rose get out of the limo. Greg Matthews says "Shi%!!! Here again??!?!"

Justice Pain interrupts John House and Eric Gargiulo's opening. Pain demands the announcers tell him who is answering his open challenge. He makes House and Gargiulo leave. Pain says "It don't matter who it is! ... I ain't lettin' go! ... Please, come fight me, I am begging you!"

Segment #1- Sonjay Dutt & Derek Frazier vs. The Super Heavyweights (The Hurricane Kid & "Towel Boy" Eric Tuttle) (with Rick Feinberg). Sonjay Dutt is very entertaining. He has a lot of personality. Tuttle starts the match and executes a huracanrana early on on Dutt. He then hits a Moonsault on Feinberg to the outside. Dutt hits a Tope Con Hilo to the outside on Tuttle (taking out Feinberg as well in the process). Tuttle hits a Back Drop Driver on Dutt when they return to the ring. Hurricane tags in and gets a 2 count after a Spinning Heal Kick. He gets another 2 count after a Springboard Clothesline. Dutt and Frazier do a nice double team Somersault 360 Piscotto (spelling?) for a near fall. Tuttle poses after stomping on a chair on Frazier's chest, but Dutt takes him out while he is posing. Dutt legally tags in and goes after Hurricane Kid. Hurricane catches him for a Pump Handle Powerbomb. They then cut to Frazier giving Hurricane a Vertebreaker. Justice Pain then runs in and everyone bails but Tuttle. Pain backs Tuttle into a corner and begins chopping him. He then whips him from corner to corner and hits him with a Pain Thriller! He takes the mic and asks for someone worthy to answer his challenge. Lobo takes a mic on the stage (surrounded by Greg Matthews and Rockin' Rebel). Lobo says "excuse me I am parched, let me take a sip of my drink" as he drinks his Pepsi. Z-Barr gives Lobo a cell phone and tells him he has a call. Lobo begins taking notes while talking on the phone. Lobo hangs up and asks where his Pepsi is. Lobo tells Pain he has an opponent tonight and drinks more of his Pepsi. Pain asks if it is Billy Fives again. Lobo says the Pepsi hit the spot. Lobo says tonight he has someone who is gonna take him to the limit. He tells Pain he may not walk out with the title tonight. Pain says all he wants is a fight. Pain told Lobo to limp down to the ring so he can beat his old a$$! Lobo tells him to worry about who he has for him tonight! Lobo says "have fun tonight ex-champ!!"

Segment #2- "A Special Look Back At Zandig's Ultraviolent Tournament of Death". Just as it says .... a bunch of highlights from the 8/31/02 Tournament of Death. Obviously there were a bunch of sick looking spots. I am not the biggest fan of these type of matches, especially an entire show full of them, but this looked like a pretty cool tournament, and I just love how outdoor shows come across on TV. So it was a pretty cool segment. Nick Mondo pouring salt all over the ring before one of his matches was insane, but seeing the blood fly off his chest when Wifebeater hit him with the weedwhacker was even more insane. At the end of this segment they said the T.O.D. video is available through http://www.smartmarkvideo.com

Segment #3- The Messiah is interviewed backstage by Robby Moreno. Messiah said he is not only back for himself, but is also back for the fans. He said after the attack he evaluated what he wanted out of life. His family and girlfriend did not want him to continue wrestling. Messiah said he loves to wrestle and it's what he's always done. Messiah tells everyone that you learn the business at wrestling school. He said wrestling around the house and all of that is fine and dandy, but he learned the business at wrestling school. He said Josh Prohibition and M-Dogg 20 are great and came from backyards, but they are an exception and even they know they should have gone to wrestling school. Robby Moreno tells Messiah that all of CZW supports him and asks him what his plans are. He said he is taking it one day at a time. He says he has moved and realized who his real friends are. Messiah said guys he has known for 10 years are scared and have kind of turned their backs on him, while people he has known for less than a year in CZW have his back. He said no offense to the boys in the back, but he is the most hardcore muthafuc%er he knows. He said he knows people make jokes about him and his thumb, and even he does himself at times, but if he doesn't know you, do not make jokes about him or he will put your face through a wall!

Segment #4- CZW Heavyweight Champion Justice Pain vs. C.M. Punk! Pain comes out first not knowing who he is facing. The crowd gives Punk a nice round of applause when his name is announced. He now has Corino-blonde hair. For those who don't know, he has a Pepsi tatoo, hence Lobo's Pepsi earlier. Punk goes to the timekeeper's table and takes the CZW belt before getting in the ring. Justice Pain and "Chick Magnet" Punk are ready to wrestle now. The crowd starts a little "C.M. Punk" chant. Punk is playing a face, which is unfortunate because you can't see the real Punk unless he is a heel, but he is a talent nonetheless. Only Christopher Daniels is better all around (look, ability, mic work, charisma, personality). Pain bails to the outside early on to get his mind straight. He timidly comes back to the ring and they lock up again. Punk continues to dominate Pain but Pain holds on to the Powerbomb attempt by Punk and monkey flips him, but Punk lands on his feet. Pain finally gains a little bit of control and tries to slow down the pace by working Punk on the mat. Pain whips Punk into the corner and hits him with a big clothesline. He then applies a Fujiwara Armbar. Pain releases it and backs him into a corner and continues to work the arm. Punk does a Slingshot Sunset Flip followed by a Russian Leg Sweep and then a Slingshot Senton. Punk starts to get cocky and arrogant as he now has Pain down again. Another small "C.M. Punk" chant. Punk then gives Pain a suplex after holding him in the air for about 10-15 seconds. Punk then gets Pain in the 138 Special. Punk then backs Pain into the corner and begins to chop him. Pain reverses the whip into the corner but Punk flips him over the top rope and onto the apron before hitting him with a Springboard Dropkick sending him to the floor. Punk delivers a Tope to the outside. Punk goes to the top but misses a Forg Splash. Pain gets Punk in an STF. Gargiulo calls it "a move made famous by Masahiro Chono, and a move perfected by Justice Pain". Since Punk did not tap, I guess that makes him better than all those who have tapped out to Chono. Punk goes for a high knee in the corner but Pain catches him with a Blockbuster. Pain drops Punk on his head and Gargiulo mentions the fractured skull Punk received in June. Punk rolls to the outside. Pain crotches Punk on the top rope and kicks him in the head. Gargiulo mentions how Punk has gone 55 minutes and has plenty of endurance, but points out that Pain went 64 minutes at High Stakes! Pain goes to flip Punk out of the corner but Punk does a "Jackie Chan" as Gargiulo called it and takes down Pain. Punk calls for the Pepsi Plunge but changes his mind and hits a backbreaker. Punk headbutts his way out of a belly to belly suplex attempt but Pain gains control again and suplexes him into the corner. Pain puts Punk upside down in the Tree of Woe and gets a steel chair. Punk sits up out of it as Pain went to dropkick the chair into him. Pain goes up to the top and executes a spike DDT from the top. They both get to their feet at the same time, but Pain gains the edge. Punk ducks one clothesline but then runs into a stiff clothesline shortly thereafter. The crowd starts chanting "Ole, Ole, Ole" which is Punk's face theme music. Punk rolls up Pain for a 2 count. Punk goes for the Devil Lock but Pain punches his way out of it and goes for a Pain Thriller. Punk counters it with a Crucifix for a 2 count. Punk goes to the top rope and goes for the Pepsi Plunge but Pain hits a Pain Thriller instead. Punk is first to his feet and hits a Split Legged Moonsault for a 2 count. Pain goes for another Pain Thriller but Punk gets him in a backslide for a 2 count. Pain then gets a Pain Thriller and finally gets the 3 count. 20 minutes of this match aired.

Next week on Fake You TV is the Big Japan Deathmatch Champion Wifebeater vs. Necro Butcher in a rematch from the Tournament of Death!

NOTES: CZW is in Dover, Delaware on Saturday, September 28th....CZW returns to Viking Hall on Saturday, October 12th. Justice Pain has another open challenge. Eric Gargiulo mentioned that every time he is in Philly, Pain will have an open challenge.

2002 - Dory Funk Jr.'s !Bang! TV aired.  James Malone filed the following TV report:

Today's edition of !BANG! picked up the continuation of last week's program featuring Adam Windsor defending the Funking Conservatory World Heavyweight Championship against FC United States Champion Osamu Nishimura ofNew Japan Pro Wrestling in a 60 minute Ironman Match.

Today's program picked up with two falls for Nishimura to one fall for Adam. The second half of the match started off with Adam going for a kick to Nishimura's stomach, but Nishimura caught Adam's leg and began attacking Adam's knee. Adam was able to break the hold. Adam then backed Nishimura into the corner and gave him a series of shots to the stomach followed up by a series of European uppercuts.   Adam then applied the double arm suplex on Nishimura. Adam went for a cover, but Nishimura kicked out at two. Adam went for another cover, but Nishimura again kicked out at two. Both wrestlers locked up one more time with Nishimura pushing Adam into the corner. Nishimura started to back off with what looked like a clean break, but Nishimura caught Adam with a dropkick to the stomach. Nishimura then went to the top turnbuckle and came down on
Adam's leg with a knee drop. Nishimura then tied Adam up in a figure four leglock.

The Claw asked Adam if he wanted to give up but Adam said no. Adam tried to reverse the hold but Nishimura wouldn't let him. Adam did manage to get to the ropes forcing the hold to be broken. Nishimura whipped Adam into the ropes and followed up with a hiptoss. Nishimura then attempted a hiplock  but Adam reversed into a backslide pinning combination, but Nishimura kicked out at two. Adam then knocked Nishimura with a sigiry and was able to make the cover for three. The match now stood at two falls per wrestler.

In between falls, a video of the most annoying man in the Funking Conservatory, FC Hardcore Champion Heater, was shown. Heater took the time and opportunity to reveal who his mystery tag team partner for the match with Adam and Nishimura on September 28 would be. That man's name is "The Storm" Chuck Reid. Reid is an American born citizen and he resides in Tokyo, Japan. He served the US Navy for 6 years and is also skilled in martial arts.Heater and Reid said some rough words to Adam and Nishimura and say they are ready for the match.

The Ironman Match resumed  with both Adam and Nishimura exchanging forearm shots and uppercuts. Nishimura tried for a pin, but Adam kicked out at two. Nishimura then caught Adam with a Japanese armbar. Both men kept trying to pin each other but they kept kicking out at two. Both Adam and Nishimura then tried applying the abdominal stretch on each other, but Nishimura used the momentum to fling Adam out of the ring. All of a sudden, Adam was attacked by Rainman of NWA Wildside. Rainman then threw Adam back into the ring and into an abdominal stretch by Nishimura. Nishimura rolled Adam to the mat and was able to score another pinfall on Adam. Nishimura had a three falls to two falls advantage on Adam with only  minutes left in the match. The match resumed with Nishimura pushing Adam into the ropes, but Adam fired back with kneelifts to the midsection of Nishimura and followed up with a piledriver. Adam went for a cover, but Nishimura got his foot on the ropes at two.

Adam then plowed Nishimura with a huge suplex. Adam went for another cover, but Nishimura again kicked out at two. Adam tried a backslide pinning combination, but Nishimura once again kicked out at two. Adam gave Nishimura three uppercuts and followed up with a dropkick to Nishimura's back. Adam went for a cover, but somehow Nishimura kicked out at two. As Adam was picking Nishimura up, Nishimura countered with a Northern lights suplex into a pin, but Adam kicked out at two. Nishimura whipped Adam into the ropes and caught him in a sleeper hold. The Claw raised Adam's hand once, it dropped. She raised Adam's hand a second time, it dropped again. Claw raised Adam's hand a third time and it almost dropped but Adam got it right back up.

With two minutes remaining, both wrestlers went all out to try to either gain the tying pinfall or score the winning fall. Adam gave Nishimura a bodyslam into a pin, but Nishimura kicked out at two. Adam started climbing up to the top turnbuckle, but Nishimura bounced against the ropes causing Adam to lose his footing. Nishimura climbed up the ropes in an attempt at a superplex, but as Nishimura superplexed Adam off the ropes, Adam leaned back and hooked Nishimura's legs for the three count and the tying fall just as time expired.

As a result of the match ending in a draw, Adam Windsor remains the Funking Conservatory World heavyweight Champion. Adam and Nishimura shook hands and embraced at the end of the match.

We are now just days away from "Foot Stompin Fall" on Saturday night, September 28, at the Dory Funk Arena. Dr. Tom Prichard from WWE Talent Relations will be in attendance to check out the talent on the card. The main event will be a tag tea match featuring the team of FC Triple Crown Champion Adam Windsor and FC United States Champion Osamu Nishimura taking on the team of the most annoying man in the Funking Conservatory, FC Hardcore Champion Heater, and the man who earlier was revealed to be Heater's tag team partner, "The Storm" Chuck Reid. FC Women's Champion Vanesa Harding and !BANG! TV Champion Ru Star will be on the card defending their titles for the first time. Former FC Hardcore and former !BANG! TV Champion Ox will be returning as well as former FC Women's Champion The Temptress (no longer The Living
Dead Girl) Cleopatra. Also from the U.K. Trevor, from Ireland, Alex Breslin and  from Billings Montana, Arick Standish.

2002 - Phoenix Championship Wrestling TV aired in New Jersey.

2003 - Dwayne Johnson's film "The Rundown" opened.

2003 - The European Wrestling Promotion continued it's Gilde Wrestling Festival events in Hannover, Germany with the following results for "Champions Night" -

-Murat Bosporus defeat Doug Williams by DQ.

-Ecki Eckstein pinned Gangrel

-EWP Intercontinental champion Robby Brookside fought New Japan's Osamu Nishimura to a 12 round time limit draw. The match was described as OK with a lot of submission moves but it wasn't the style the crowd wanted to see..

-Ulf Hermann (who had hugely vocal support from locals Hell's Angels bikers) defeated Brody Steele.

-Thunder defeated Cannonball Grizzly in Round 5 to win the EWP championship.   This was seen as a big upset.

2003 - A.T. Huck's Insane Wrestling Federation had a show with several fans bring the weapons in Hamtramck, MI. CZW/East Coast independent worker Adam Flash came in to team with CZW heavyweight champion Messiah in the main event, which was one of the weapons matches. They dropped the IWF tag team titles to Cpl. Robinson & DBA. Robinson gave Messiah the boot camp off the ropes onto several light tubes to lead to the pin. Lots of light tube shots before that spot too. Robinson and DBA did a run in before their match to save Rude Boy from a post-match beating by Necro Butcher and Gabriel Brimstone. Former IWA Mid-South light heavyweight champion J.C. Bailey beat Vortex, who had American Kickboxer in his corner. After cutting Bailey open, Vortex and Kickboxer squeezed lemons over the cuts. Ouch. Bailey also took a bump off the ropes onto a weapon a fan had constructed that consisted of a board wrapped in barbed wire and light tubes. Alex Shelley won the cruiserweight title in a four way over Loverboy Steve, Gutter, and Steve Nixon. Nixon gave Shelley a pedigree off the top, and Shelley landed on top of Loverboy for the pin. As a result of a pre-match stip, Loverboy has to leave the promotion now. Afterward, Nixon dropped Loverboy onto some light tubes with a powerbomb. There were several non-weapons matches on the show too, including a 20:00 broadway between Chris Sabin and his trainer Truth Martini. Sabin gave Martini a belly to back suplex off the ropes and went to cover Martini, but time ran out. Huck announced a no time limit rematch at a future show. Danny Daniels tried to interfere but Huck held him off. They are doing an angle where Daniels wants revenge on Sabin for Sabin beating him back in July. Daniels beat Petey Williams after a piledriver. Jaimy Coxxx went over Tommy Johnson using the ropes. Ryan Boz won the opener over Buddy Hanlon. Monty Brown ran in to save Hanlon, then promptly turned on him. The angle here is that he was sick of waiting to get main events and title matches.  Jess McGrath reporting.

2004 - Marianna Komlos, a former fitness competitor, passed away at the age of 35 following a battle with breast cancer. Komlos had a short run in WWF as Beaver Cleavage's mother.  When that character was dropped, she worked under her first name in a storyline where she claimed her boyfriend, Chazz was physically abusing her.  The character was written off after she was revealed to be faking it.

2005 - The final episode of Raw to air on SpikeTV took place in Waco, Texas, as the show would be moving back to it's former (and current) home, USA Network.  The show would earn a 3.2 rating. In the main event, Carlito & Chris Masters, with help from Kurt Angle, defeat Shawn Michaels & John Cena in a Tables match.

During the opening segment of Monday Night Raw on September 26th, the final edition on Spike TV, Vince McMahon thanked Spike TV for being a "great tag team partner" the last several years, then noted that next week, Monday Night Raw would be going home. When McMahon explained that Raw would be returning to the USA Network, however, Spike TV killed the audio, censoring the name of Raw's new home.

A half-hour into the program, Jonathan Coachman talked about the censoring following a match between Big Show and Gene Snitsky.  Coachman sarcastically noted what a "great relationship" WWE has with SpikeTV.  Again, the sound dropped out as Coach spoke, presumably when he mentioned USA. However, Coach did say that if you want to see "what Spike censored" go to WWE.com. On WWE.com, there was a countdown clock for the return to USA, as well as an article on the situation.

Spike TV continued to take parting shots at WWE by pushing their Ultimate Fighting Championship block for next Monday, noting there were "no scripts." The commercial did not mention the TNA Impact episode that would air after the UFC block.

Spike TV continued to mute out all mentions of the USA Network as Raw continued, although an exchange between Jerry Lawler and Jonathan Coachman resulted in the two getting the USA Network mentioned several times, and Spike accidentally muting part of a mention of their own network.

After numerous attempts to censor the words "USA Network" during Raw, SpikeTV threw in the towel during the final half hour of WWE programming on the network.

During the entrances of Chris Masters and Carlito for the main event of the program, announcers Jim Ross, Jonathan Coachman and Jerry Lawler made numerous mentions of Raw moving to USA Network next week.  None of the mentions were censored.

In the New York market on Cablevision, there were localized ads promoting WWE Homecoming on the USA Network next week running on Spike. Localized ads also aired on some Miami, Boston, and New Jersey cable systems as well.

2006 - WWE broadcast ECW on SciFi.  Buck Woodward filed the following TV report:

Welcome to our live coverage of ECW on Sci Fi.

The ECW Opening aired, and they went to ringside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Joey Styles and Tazz pointed out that Big Show would defend the ECW Title against The Sandman tonight.

Oklahoma's own Jim Ross was then introduced as tonight's "special guest".  Ross came to the ring to the Oklahoma fight song, and said it was great to be in Oklahoma.  JR thanked Tazz and Styles for inviting him to the show, which resulted in Tazz and Styles each claiming they hadn't, wondering if the other had invited him.  Ross was comparing ECW to Mid South Wrestling, when he was interrupted by Matt Striker.

Striker took the mic from JR, and said he had been sent out by Paul Heyman to "educate" Jim Ross.  Striker said that he was a New York City school teacher, and that Ross and all the fans "lacked education".  Striker ripped on JR for being a "blue collar man" that enjoyed "alcoholic beverages".  The Sandman came out, and Striker backed off.  Striker looked to JR for help, but got none, and Sandman hit Striker in the gut with his cane.  Sandman then offered JR the cane, and Ross took it and hit Striker across the back with it, to a big pop.  Striker ran off, and Sandman gave Ross a beer.  Ross toasted "the next ECW World Champion", Sandman, and the two chugged a beer together.

A commercial for Eric Bischoff's book aired, with Bischoff pointing out that he didn't edit the "Monday Night Wars" DVD, and that his book would feature his side of the story, unedited. Bischoff then ran down a list of people that will probably be ticked off by his book, including Hogan, Hall, Nash, Austin, Ross and, of course, the McMahons.

A commercial aired for "Extreme Strip Poker" in two weeks.

Hardcore Holly did a promo saying he wasn't going to tell Rob Van Dam what he was going to do, he was going to show him.  They aired a clip of Holly attacking Van Dam last week.

Extreme Rules: Hardcore Holly vs. Rob Van Dam

They locked up at the bell, and RVD reversed a hiptoss into an armdrag.  Van Dam hit a clothesline and a spin kick in the corner.  Van Dam started to pose, but Holly hit him with some punches.  Holly went for a backdrop, but Van Dam flipped over it and hit a thrust kick.  Van Dam clotheslined Holly and kicked him to the floor.  Holly yanked RVD out as well, and they brawled around the ring.  Van Dam put Holly across the security wall and hit a corkscrew legdrop off the ring apron.  RVD went under the ring and pulled out a table. The fans chanted "We Want Tables".  Van Dam set it up at ringside, but Holly attacked him and rammed him face first into the steps. Holly chopped him on the floor and rammed him into the ringpost.

Holly tossed Van Dam back into the ring, then hit a legdrop for a two count. Holly and Van Dam exchanged punches in a corner, then RVD ran into a big boot by Holly. He choked Van Dam against the middle rope, then put him in a camel clutch.  Van Dam made the ropes, but it was Extreme Rules, so Holly didn't have to break.  Eventually, Holly released the hold and hit some punches.  Van Dam tried to rally, but Holly hit a clothesline for a two count. Van Dam threw some punches and backdropped Holly to the apron, but Holly yanked down RVD by the hair.  Holly teased suplexing Van Dam off the apron.  They teased reversals, and then Holly completed the move, sending both men crashing through the table at ringside as they went to commercial.

Back from the break, we saw that Holly's back had been cut open from the framing around the edge of the table.  He had a pretty nasty gash, probably around six inches long, across the left side of his back.  However, he was on offense, and he dropped RVD chest first on a chair he set up in the ring.  Holly scored a two count. Holly put a chair on RVD's head and hit a second rope legdrop.  Holly scored a two count, and looked frustrated.  Holly tried for a suplex, but RVD reversed it, sending Holly down back first across the chair. RVD hit a pair of clotheslines, then gave Holly a monkey flip.  Van Dam hit a top rope thrust kick.  Holly slumped in a corner, and RVD dropkicked a steel chair into his face.  Van Dam then hit Rolling Thunder on Holly with the chair for a two count. Van Dam set up for a monkey flip onto a chair, but Holly blocked it and powerbombed RVD on the chair for a two count.

Holly went to ram RVD in a corner, but Van Dam blocked it and kicked Holly in the head.  RVD put the chair on top of Holly and went to the top rope.  Van Dam went for the frog splash, but Holly threw the chair up, and Van Dam hit it hard with is head.  In fact, his head almost got caught in the chair.  Holly crawled onto RVD for a two count.  Holly went for a Alabama Slam, but Van Dam floated over it into a sunset flip, but Holly broke it up with punches.  Holly picked up the chair, but Van Dam dropkicked it in his face.  Van Dam then hit the five star frog splash for the pin at the 18-minute mark.

Winner: Rob Van Dam.

As soon as the match was over, a doctor and a trainer got in the ring and started tending to the gash on Holly's back.  After the replays, they showed Holly standing up in the ring, and some fans applauded him and there was a faint "Holly" chant.  The announcers put over Holly big time.

CM Punk cut a promo about his "straight edge" lifestyle, and that his one addiction was competing in ECW.  Punk said he wanted to face the best, naming Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Sandman and Big Show.  Kelly Kelly interrupted, and noticing the "four aces" tattoo on his arm, started talking about Extreme Strip Poker.  Kelly said she can't get into casinos because she is 19, and wondered if Punk would help her practice for the game.  Mike Knox interrupted, asking Kelly (rhetorically) if he wasn't enough man for her.  Knox asked Punk if he had his own woman, and Punk said he did, but that Knox shouldn't be concerned with his.  Punk delivered a great line about how "the fence" Knox builds around Kelly isn't high enough, "because she keeps jumping into my yard".  Knox said he had to straighten out Kelly, and Punk was lucky he didn't have time for him now.  Punk didn't back down, noting he'd be waiting for him.

After a great match and a fantastic promo, we then found out John Cena is a great kisser.  Yes, they hyped The Marine.

Extreme Cat Fight: Ariel, with Kevin Thorn, vs. Francine.

Ariel got on the mic and said she read Francine's tarot card, and that she'll be "fat, ugly, and pregnant" and dreaming of being with Kevin Thorn.  Francine attacked Ariel and ripped off her top, then hiptossed her and began ramming her head into the mat.  Thron interfered and grabbed Francine so Ariel could get some shots in.  Balls Mahoney ran out and hit Thorn in the gut with a chair, then cracked him across the head with it.  Thorn and Ariel retreated while Balls and Francine challenged them to return to the ring.

Result: No contest?

A video package on The Sandman was shown.

ECW World Champion The Big Show was backstage with Paul Heyman.  Big Show boasted about beating Sandman tonight, then said he wanted the Singapore Cane to be legal. Then we went to commercial.

Rene Dupree came out of the shower and said he was the "Most Extreme" athlete in ECW.  He then opened his towel (the camera was above waist level), looked at his crotch, and smiled.

ECW World Champion Big Show vs. The Sandman - Singapore Cane is legal.

Big Show came out, then Sandman made his entrance through the crowd as they went to commercial again.

Back from break, Sandman was wailing on Big Show with the cane, hitting him in the back and head, then targeting his legs.  Show rolled to the floor, but Sandman followed, caning Show across the back of the head. Sandman hit some shots across the back, and Show was bleeding from the forehead.  They made it back into the ring, and Show head some headbutts to get on offense. Show chopped Sandman across the chest, then headbutted him to the mat again. Sandman poked Show in the eyes and delivered some punches, but Show downed him with a clothesline.  Show slammed Sandman, and kicked away the cane as Sandman crawled towards it.  Show punched Sandman to the mat and yelled that no one can beat him.  Sandman rallied with some punches, but Show grabbed him by the throat.  Sandman avoided the chokeslam and floated around Show, then hit a DDT.  Sandman got the cane and hit Show with a shot to the head.  Sandman went to the top rope and hit Show with a cane shot as he jumped off.  Sandman seemed to hurt his leg on the move.  Sandman covered Show for a two count.  Sandman went for the cane, but Matt Striker, who had showed up at ringside, pulled it out of the ring.  Sandman was distracted by Striker, and Show hit a clothesline.  Show delivered the Cobra Clutch backbreaker, then held onto the Cobra, but Sandman wouldn't tap out.  Show lifted him off the mat and hit the Showstopper standing legdrop for the pin.

Winner: The Big Show.

Sandman was laid out in the ring, and Big Show walked off, laughing, as the show ended.

During the main event, it was announced that Hardcore Holly needed 24 stitches to close the gash on his back.

2007 - It was announced that WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana was working on an autobiography, which was released in April 2008, titled "Tales from the Ring."

2007 - The Associated Press released the following article:

Lawyer Wants Out of Benoit Doctor Case

Lawyer for Dead Wrestler's Doctor Wants Out of Case, Says Client Can't Afford Him
ATLANTA (AP) -- The lawyer for Chris Benoit's personal doctor, who faces federal charges of overprescribing medication, asked a judge Wednesday for permission to withdraw from the case because his client can no longer pay his legal fees and expenses.

Phil Astin has pleaded not guilty to federal charges of improperly prescribing painkillers and other drugs to two patients other than Benoit, the professional wrestler who killed his family and himself in June. More federal charges against Astin are expected.

Attorney Manny Arora said in a motion in U.S. District Court in Atlanta that since being placed under house arrest, Astin has been unable to work and foreclosure notices and other liens have been placed on his real estate.

"Astin has become and is currently indigent," Arora wrote.

Arora said the cost of defending Astin would be expensive, running into the tens of thousands of dollars for copying medical documents alone.

There was no immediate ruling by the court.

Prosecutors have said Benoit, 40, strangled his wife with a cord, used a choke hold to strangle his 7-year-old son, placed Bibles next to the bodies and hanged himself on a piece of exercise equipment.

Authorities have said Astin prescribed a 10-month supply of anabolic steroids to Benoit every three to four weeks between May 2006 and May 2007.

Steroid use has lingered as a theory behind the killings, since anabolic steroids were found in Benoit's home and tests conducted by authorities showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

Some experts believe that use of testosterone can contribute to paranoia, depression and violent outbursts known as "roid rage."

Benoit's father believes years of head trauma his son suffered while in the ring contributed to the killings. Doctors affiliated with the Sports Legacy Institute, who examined Benoit's brain, have said that repeated concussions could have contributed to the killings, but they don't know for sure.

2008 - The Ring of Honor New Horizons PPV debuted.  Mike Johnson filed the following PPV report:

Ring of Honor New Horizons PPV report.

New Horizons opened with ROH Tag Team champions The Age of the Fall in the ring.  The announcers weren't sure they were on the air and said the champs weren't supposed to open the show.  Jimmy Jacobs cut a promo saying that as the new Tag Team champions, it was a new dawn revolution.  Jacobs said that they had the power now and thus weren't going to defend the belts, which upset the announcers.  Jacobs said that while they have the power to spread their message, they also have the power to decree that they have no legitimate challengers.  He said Mark Briscoe was hurt and Steen and Generico were nowhere to be found.

The Briscoes hit the ring and ran off the champs.  Dave Prazak and Lenny Leonard said that the Briscoes weren't even supposed to be in Detroit due to Mark's wrist injury.  The crowd chanted, "Man Up."  Prazak entered the ring to get comments from the Briscoes, who challenged the Tag champs.  The Age of the Fall teased hitting the ring, then tried to walk out.  Austin Aries attacked Black and Jacobs and brawled to the back with them.

Prazak asked Mark Briscoe what he was doing here.  He said he was ready to go and wanted his Tag Team titles back.  Prazak said that it didn't look like the champs were coming back and segued to an opening video of highspots while they found "stand by" opponents for the Briscoes.

The Briscoes vs. Mitch Franklin & Silas Young

Jay Briscoe hits a Cactus clothesline out of the ring on Franklin.  Young takes down Mark with a rolling Samoan Drop, then hits an Arabian Press.  Jay hit the ring and kicked him in the mush.  Franklin went for a dive but was caught and thrown off by the Briscoes.  The Briscoes nailed a double Beel on Franklin.  Young went for a springboard dive but was caught and hit with a suplex.  The Briscoes nailed the Doomsday Device for the win.  A completely entertaining squash to bring the Briscoes back to the forefront.

This led into a nice video feature on the Briscoes, showing them on their farm and featuring them as old school country boy rednecks, right down the rifles, beer and pitbull.  Jay said that perhaps they've gotten a little too flashy for the crowd, so they are going to go back to their roots.  He said they might hit some and miss some, but they are going to get the job done.  He noted the Age of the Fall claim they have a revolution, but the Briscoes would show them how real men start a revolution, then showed a shot of them firing rifles into the air.  If you were a first time viewer, you'd immediately get a sense of who the characters behind this team was.

Ruckus vs. Delirious vs. Erick Stevens vs. Shane Hagadorn - Four Corner Survival

The typical fast paced back and forth style match you'd get out of ROH for this bout.  Hagadorn, more or less a lackey for Adam Pearce, really seemed like odd man out here.  They did a deal where he tried to leave like a coward once Stevens was stomping him but Delirious and Ruckus didn't let him.  Hagadorn then did his Daniel Puder Royal Rumble impression as he was beaten by everyone else in the match.  Ruckus nailed an awesome moonsault.  In the end, Stevens killed Hagadorn with the Doctor Bomb.  Solid for what it was designed to be with lots of action here.

Austin Aries hit the ring and said that everyone who's a wrestling fan knows about the old clichéd blood feud, but what's going on between him and Jacobs transcends a blood feud.  ROH interspersed clips of the feud into the "live" promo.  Aries said that after what Jacobs did to Lacey, this isn't about one man beating the hell out of the other, but about a level of emotional hatred so deep that most fans will never understand.  Aries said that he and Jacobs want each other, so he was calling out Jacobs right now.  Jacobs appeared in the aisle and slowly walked to the ring but Tyler Black attacked Aries from behind.   Aries took out Black and turned his attention back to Jacobs.  MsChif, billed as the SHIMMER Champion on screen, hit the ring and lowblowed Aries from behind.  Jacobs hit the ring and The Age of the Fall worked over Aries.  Jacobs pulled what appeared to be a wrench out from his tights and nailed Aries in the face with it, busting him open.  A logo for the Age's website appeared.  When we returned to live action, Jacobs was digging into a bloody Aries' mouth with the wrench.    Several undercard wrestlers came out and dragged Aries out.

Hey, since the Briscoes wanted The Age of the Fall so bad they came all the way to Detroit, why didn't they just hit the ring and make the save?

As the Age of the Fall are in the ring, Kevin Steen comes out with a mic.  The crowd chanted, "Mr. Wrestling."  Steen said that they've shown the world how talented they are at 2 on 1 attacked.  He asked when they are going to show the world how talented they are at tag team wrestling and asked when he and El Generico are getting their title shot.  Jacobs said Steen thinks he deserves something, but all he does is whine and doesn't deserve anything.  He said that Steen needs to prove himself.  Steen said that he and Generico prove themselves on every PPV but if they want him to prove himself, he'll do it again by facing them both alone.  Jacobs teased he was going to wrestle Steen, but Necro Butcher attacked Steen instead.

Necro Butcher vs. Kevin Steen

Necro beat Steen down on the outside, including nailing him with a guard rail.  The announcers told the viewers they've been told this will be a sanctioned match as they were going to roll with it and it's now a No DQ match.  Necro continued his assault as the announcers talked about Necro doing the Age of the Fall's dirty work.  Steen was tossed into the railing but came back to nail him with the ring bell.  Steen went to town on Necro on the outside.    Necro began choking Steen with a t-shirt in the aisle.  Steen caught Necro and hit a running over the shoulder powerslam on the entrance ramp.

Steen tosses Necro back in the ring, showered him with punches and bit Necro on the forehead.  Steen continued to work over Necro, then locked in a Sharpshooter.  Necro broke free and punched Steen with a big right, sending him to the floor.  Necro went for Steen but was nailed with a chair on the floor.  Steen positioned the chair and tossed Necro off the apron through it.  Steen dove off the top but Necro got his knees up.  Necro tossed several chairs in the ring and bulldogged Steen through one.  Steen came back and nailed a Michinoku Driver II through a chair for a near fall.  Steen hit his package piledriver, which looked brutal, for the pin.

Fun brawl.  A great example of the type of performers who would most likely never get a WWE deal based on the current hiring standards and how short-sided those standards are based on how entertaining the brawl was.

Backstage, Adam Pearce mocked Brent Albright over the fireball Pearce threw in his face on the last PPV.  Pearce said that he wasn't allowed to compete tonight and that was his penance and he was fine with that because he was the NWA champion.  He said the NWA title was worth more than any measly pay ever could be.  He said that he doesn't care about PPV or money, but about leaving a mark.  He said he would leave a scar or a black heart and that's why Larry Sweeney came to him.  He promised that Sweet N' Sour Inc. will forge New Horizons.  He said that Albright knows all about it.  As his promo ended, Sweeney called on the phone.

Chris Hero & Go Shiozaki (with Sweet N' Sour Inc.) vs. Roderick Strong & Naomichi Marufuji

They showed clips of Davey Richards turning on Roderick Strong and noted that Sweeney sent Richards on tour in Japan.  They said Marufuji was appearing courtesy of NOAH.  Sweeney took the mic and said Sweet N' Sour is growing bigger and bigger.   He said their newest client, Shiozaki, was happy with his representation and tried to get Marufuji to join his clientele.  He offered his hand to Marufuji, who gave him the finger instead.  Sweeney said he wouldn't allow his men to wrestle tonight and they all walked out, but former WWE and ECW star Lance Storm came out.

Storm said, "If I can be serious for a minute", and told Sweeney that unless he got past Lance, he wasn't going anywhere.  Storm said he came to see the "best damn locker room in the business leave it all in the ring" and said he would stay at ringside to make sure Sweeney kept his nose out of the match.  They showed clips of Bryan Danielson vs. Storm from a few years back to show he's no stranger to ROH.

Strong and Shiozaki began chopping the hell out of each other.  Strong finally won the exchange with a leg lariat.  ROH champ Nigel McGuinness popped up in the announcer's booth saying he was back due to all the demand for it.  McGuinness said that as champion, he had decided he would be defending the belt next so he could then watch the rest of the PPV.  Hero tagged in for a short time before tagged back out to Go.  Strong and Marufuji nail a variation of the Backseat Boys' Dream Sequence. Hero tossed Roderick out of the ring but Lance Storm prevented him from being attacked.

Hero and Shiozaki continued to work over Strong in the corner.  Strong finally fought off Go with chops and made the hot tag.  Marufuji cleaned house but was nailed with a fisherman's buster.  Marufuji came back to cut off Hero and went for a shiranumani (The Kendrick) but Hero blocked it.  Strong nailed a Gutbuster on Hero and locked on an armbar but Go broke up the submission attempt.  Marufuji superkicked Go.  Hero nailed Marufuji with a roaring elbow but Strong tagged himself in and scored with a backbreaker for the pin.  Another good match.  Lots of fun back and forth athletic stuff here.  Marufuji is the most crisp in-ring technician you haven't heard of.

Lance Storm raised the winners' hands.  Larry Sweeney attacked Lance Storm as the others laid out Strong and Marufuji.  Storm caught Sweeney in the Canadian Maple Leaf.  ROH caught an awesome close-up of Sweeney's face.  Hero nailed Storm with a roaring elbow, knocking him out.  Sweet N' Sour Inc. stood over Storm and cackled.

DC Comics' The Unknown Soldier made his debut.  No, wait, that's a bandaged Brent Albright.  He said that he's not wrestling on the PPV because of Adam Pearce.  He said Pearce threw a fireball in his face.  Normally, when he comes home from a wrestling tour, his son runs up to give him a hug but this time his son ran away and asked what's wrong with his face.  Albright said his seven month baby girl doesn't understand what's going on and cries while his wife wonders how they will pay their bills if the doctors won't let him wrestle.  Albright promised that he was going to make Adam Pearce's face look exactly like his.  The promo was OK but didn't seem to hit the emotional plateau you would think given he's talking about the effect of the attack on his family.

They went into a video feature on Claudio Castagnoli, talking about coming to America three years ago to live his dream.  Castagnoli said he started from nothing to build his way up.  He said Nigel McGuinness did the same thing but Claudio isn't someone with a dream - he's someone who's going to be the new champion.  Like the Briscoes piece, a great insight into the character behind the athlete.

ROH champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Dave Prazak gave a rundown of all the major names that have put their names in the history books by becoming ROH champion, noting that Claudio wants to do the same.    They had Bobby Cruise do in-ring introductions for each competitor, giving it a big-time fight feel.

Before I even go into any moves recap, I'll just state this bout is worth the $10 pricetag for the PPV itself as it's just an excellent start to finish top of the line wrestling clinic.  After several minutes of great back and forth matwork and wrestling, they really kicked it into second gear.  By the time Claudio kicked out Nigel's Tower of London finisher, the crowd popped huge, believing Claudio was on his way to getting the title.  Just great stuff to watch unfold.

Late in the bout, Claudio nailed several finishers including his Ricola Bomb and his bicycle kick for near falls.  McGuinness kept trying to rebound off the ropes for his jawbreaker lariat but Claudio ducked and snared him in the Giant Swing for another nearfall.  In a lot of ways, Nigel is the most underappreciated top champion right now because most online fans are vocal about his work in negative ways but seem to ignore that in every title defense, the fans live totally believe the challenger has a shot at getting the belt.  Isn't that what being a good "World" champ is about?  It was for Ric Flair.

Castagnoli went to the top but Nigel nailed him.  Nigel went to clothesline Claudio off the turnbuckles while standing on them but Claudio nailed an enziguiri while both were standing on the ropes.  Never seen that before!  Castagnoli nailed a series of moves but Nigel kept kicking up at the last second.  At this point, the only criticism you could make was that these guys were doing far too much and kicking out of it, but at this point, that's the ROH style, for better or worse.  Claudio went for the Ricola Bomb again but Nigel blocked it.  Nigel was caught going for the Jawbreaker and Claudio finally hit the Ricole for a two count.  They were doing an awesome back and forth when Castagnoli kicked out of a rollup.  Nigel bounced backwards off the ropes and nailed a jawbreaker lariat for the pin out of nowhere.  That may be my favorite finish I've seen anywhere this year.  Great stuff here.

They plugged the ROH website.

Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black

They mentioned Danielson's last month, including appearing at AAA's Triplemania, the biggest event for Pro Wrestling NOAH and a win over Lance Cade in his WWE dark appearance, which was weird, but hey, if you can say one of your guys beat a pushed WWE performer, why not?  I just wonder if some fans are so used to wrestling companies lying that they will believe it.  The back story here was that Nigel won't give Danielson a title match again until he beats everyone that Nigel has beaten, so first up was Black, since ROH has been building him as a legitimate player and threat to the top names over the last several months.

Again, another insanely great match.  If WWE put two matches of this caliber on any PPV, fans would be screaming it was show of the year immediately.  McGuinness returned for commentary to scout the winner and was awesome at it.  He ripped on the crowd chanting for Danielson to slap Black again, wondering why they won't do that for him when he hits a lariat.

Black locked in a sleeper but Danielson made his way back, then reversed it into a cross armbreaker.  When Black struggled out, Danielson locked on a triangle.  With the exception of William Regal, who doesn't get to work that style anymore, no one is more proficient in the fluid European mat-based wrestling style than Danielson.   McGuinness got off a great line saying Black should tap because it was more important to save himself than win.  Black fought his way out of it by struggling to lift Danielson up while still in the triangle and powerbombing him into the corner.  The ropes snapped, which wasn't planned.  The place went ballistic for it and the ropes snapping only added to the moment.

They went back and forth with exchanges of strikes but Black suplexed Danielson, then kicked him in the face while he was on his knees.  Danielson kicked up.  Black nailed a small package driver for another near fall.  Back and forth strikes as the crowd exploded like they were having a unified orgasm.  Danielson finally got the better of Black with a series of elbows to the face and the referee called it near 30 minutes.  Insanely good is the best way to describe this one.

Jimmy Jacobs, who came to ringside during the main event, entered the ring to check on Black.  The announcers ran down upcoming dates as Austin Aries, still bloody, hit the ring and attacked Jacobs.  Jacobs and Aries brawled in the ring broken ring as the announcers wondered if the bout was official.  Aries worked over Jacobs with a series of punches in the corner, then nailed him with a series of dropkicks in the corner.  Jacobs went to the floor.  Aries went for a dive but missed, hitting the railing.    Jacobs placed Aries in a chair and returned to the ring for a dive but Aries evaded it.

They brawled in the crowd, which the cameras weren't really able to capture.  The announcers said they they weren't prepared for this to go down, which was a nice cover for the impromptu brawl.  Jacobs whipped Aries towards a wall but Aries jumped onto some rolled up mats and hit a flying clothesline.  Aries nailed a brainbuster.  Jacobs locked in his End Time submission but Aries broke it by running himself into a wall.  Jacobs tried for a spear but was kneed and caught in a front facelock.  Aries began beating Jacobs into a chair.

Aries set up a ladder and climbed it but Jacobs flung a chair at him and pulled him down.  They ended up brawling around and up the ladder until they were on top of it.  Necro Butcher hit the scene with a chair.  Jacobs instructed Necro to nail Aries while Aries told him not to listen.  They foreshadowed this by mentioning Aries had been trying to get through to Necro that Jacobs was using him.  Necro, not sure what to do, shoved the ladder over and both crashed through tables that were nearby.  Necro disappeared as the brawl between the two continued while the PPV went off the air.  A fun, gritty brawl to close the show.

Overall, another fine outing for the company.  ROH did their best to use editing and inserts to add a different feel to the PPV.  I thought the packages on the talents were an awesome addition to the show and you really can't complain about any PPV with two matches featuring great 20-plus minutes of wrestling on top.  If you want to check out some top notch wrestling and logical writing (minus the Briscoes' disappearance), you'll enjoy this show.

2008 - WWE broadcast Smackdown for the last time on the CW Network.  The series would move onto MyNetwork TV before shifting again to SyFy in 2010.  Michael Grimaldi filed the following TV report:

-WWE Open

-Highlights of Vladimir Kozlov's encounters with both Jeff Hardy and Triple H over the past two weeks

-Smackdown Open

-Jim Ross welcomes us to the show.

-Backstage Chavo is with Vickie and Vickie wants to know what the Undertaker told him. Chavo is nervous and describes how the Undertaker choke him but eventually let go because he wanted Chavo to be a messenger and tell Vickie that he is coming for her this week. Vickie send Chavo to get the Big Show. Jeff Hardy appears and asks for Kozlov, but Vickie tells him that just like she told Triple H earlier, it's not going to happen and that they need to get ready for the tag match. Jeff exits and Big Show and Chavo enter. Chavo is still nervous but Show puts his arm around Vickie and they seem confident.

1. Triple H and Jeff Hardy vs. MVP and THE Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel Jackson- Early on they tried to play on the "can Hardy and HHH work as a team" deal, but that was never really a factor in the match. Hardy started against MVP and he (Hardy) and HHH proceeded make a few quick tags in and out. MVP tags out but Hardy gets the jump on Kendrick. Hardy goes for the tip up dropkick in the corner but Kendrick bails to the floor. Hardy follows but 'Zeke distracts him. As Hardy gets back in the ring Kendrick catches him with a kick to gain control. MVP and Kendrick make a tags but they have some communication problems and that allows Hardy to make the tag to HHH. Helmsley comes in and cleans house and clotheslines Kendrick over the top rope and then Hardy and HHH toss MVP out as we go to a break.

Out of the break, the heel have gained control. We are shown a replay of Zeke distracting HHH on the outside and Kendrick hitting a baseball slide dropkick on him during the commercial that led to that advantage. Kendrick tried to wear down The Game, but misses a reverse crossbody off the middle rope that allows HHH to tag Hardy back in. Hardy come in fast hitting a hooking/leaping lariat, a sit out gordbuster and the Twist of Fate before going to the top rope. Ezekiel grabs Hardy's foot and Jeff gets crotched and crashes to the mat. Kendrick covers for a 2 count. MVP comes in and hits a series of knees and drops Hardy for another 2 count. The heels start quick tagging and Kendrick comes off the top with a double stomp on to Hardy. The crowd starts to chant "Let's Go Hardy" but Kendrick catches Jeff with a nice low running drop kick and then applies a camel clutch. Tazz and JR explain that Hardy's resilience has to make Triple H wonder what he'll have to do to put Hardy down (very good, yet subtle job of work there by the announcers). MVP comes in and applies a seated abdominal stretch, Hardy fights out but MVP tags Kendrick back in. Hardy finally comes to life hitting the Whisper in the Wind on Kendrick allowing for the double tag as HHH and MVP come in. HHH is a house of fire (or is it "House on fire?" I never know) and has MVP really. Kendrick tries to intervene but Hardy takes him out with a Cactus clothesline over the top. MVP sets up for the Drive-By Kick but HHH moves, gets to his feet...kick to the gut...pedigree...1...2...3. After the match,, Hardy takes the title belt from the time keeper and hands it to HHH and they shake hands.

Winner- Hardy/HHH via pinfall over MVP/Kendrick

-A video package on The Great Khali is shown.

BREAK

-Back from commercial JR and Tazz take a moment to thank Les Moonves and the CW Network for their years on the network.

-WWE 24/7 moment. March 13, 1992 from MSG with Flair/Sid vs. Hogan/Piper.

-Shelton Benjamin comes out wearing a white buttoned down shirt, jeans and sneakers (there's a point to mentioning this) to talk about how he's the "Gold Standard." Same deal he does every week. He says he is in a class above the rest in and out of the ring, but some in the WWE have no standards...like R-Truth. He says Truth is a joke and just smoke and mirrors, but what he really is, "is street urchin." Truth's music hits and he comes through the crowd as usual doing his deal. Shelton looks an amused. Truth gets in the ring and yells at Shelton into a mic, "What's Up?" So there we have two black men in the ring, both with white shirts, blue jeans and white sneakers...great job wardrobe. I mean, if they're trying to say that Shelton is putting on a front to think he's above another "black athlete" in the WWE yet ironically they really aren't that different, I get it. But most viewers don't put half the amount of thought I just did into that. They just see two guys who kind of look similar. Anyways, Shelton just drops his mic after the "What's Up" and slowly makes his way out of the ring and up the ramp. Truth does some more smiling and dancing and Shelton, for the first time I have ever seen, used something other than his athletic ability to get over. He looked back at Truth with a real look of anger and disdain, that to me, got over more than any of these lame "Gold Standard" promos have.

-Maria and Brie Bella are shown walking "to the ring" backstage.

BREAK

2. Maria and Brie Bella vs. Victoria and Natalya- Basics Smackdown Diva match with Victoria and Natalya dominating with strength while the nice girls tried to use quickness to get away. Ross described a move by Maria being "a great athletic move" a.k.a. "it looked like crap, but you at home probably can't do it." After getting knocked off the top rope to the floor, Brie went under the ring and (Nicole) Bella came from the other side. It was intentionally timed so you could see the legs of Brie while her sister was coming out from the other side. Bella got back in the ring and hit an X-Factor (sadly no Uncle Cracker theme music was used) but only got a 2 count. Bella tagged Maria in who came off the top with an ugly cross body for the pin.

Winner- Bella/Maria over Victoria/Natalya via pin fall.

-Vladimir Kozlov video package is shown.

BREAK

3. Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Great Khali w/ Ranjin Singh- Kozlov trapped Khali's arms and hit a few heatbutts to the massive chest of the giant. Khali came back with the big head chop and sent Kozlov outside the ring. Khali follow but missed a clothesline and hit the post. As Kozlov gather himself and got back in the ring, Triple H's music played and The Game made his way to the ring. When HHH got in the ring Kozlov stepped out. Eventually Khali would attempt to jump HHH but the Helmsley was on the the sneak attack. Kozlov came back in and helped Khali double team HHH till Jeff Hardy made the save. Hardy was quickly stopped by the head chop from Khali and the double team resumed. HHH retrieved the sledge hammer from under the ring and chased Kozlov off. Khali was too slow to bail and took a few shots to the gut with the sledge hammer. Hardy and HHH stood in the ring inviting Kozlov, but Kozlov pointed to the sledge hammer and said "nyet." Triple H gave him a crotch crop.

BREAK

-We see a few Ohio State Buckeye football players in the crowd. Unlike Brian Kendrick, I will not use the word "The" before their name.

-Ross and Tazz run down the No Mercy card.

-Vickie, Chavo and Big Show are still in Vickie's office. Chavo is concerned about the Undertake but Show gets up in Chavo's face asking him what his last name is (Chavo's, not Show's) and if he's going to bail on his family.. Vickie tells Chavo he has a match...next.

BREAK

4. Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang- While Chavo was on his way to the ring, a small circle with Gregory Helms popped up telling Chavo that the Undertaker was after him and he should go home. Okay. Not much of a match here, Chavo spent the time selling that he was worried that the Undertake was coming after him. Yang would hit some offense while Chavo would get distracted by his fear, but in the end, Chavo got the pin after a rolling Liger kick. The lights flicked off and then back on and Chavo didn't know whether to run or not.

BREAK

5. Carlito and Primo Colon vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder for the WWE Tag Team Titles- They showed footage of last week's Carlito's Cabana where Jesse, Festus and the tag champs got into it along with Primo and Carlito. Primo and Hawkins started out and Primo caught Curt with a quick headscissors before tagging out to Carly. Carlito quickly tagged promo back in and hit a tilt-a-whirl slam on his brother on to Hawkins. Carlito came back in a Tazz talked about how Carlito is known to be smooth (has he ever seen a Carlito match?  Michael J. Fox is smoother than Carlito...seriously...it's a joke...calm down). Carlito eventually fell prey to the dreaded Smackdown ring post and the tag champs went to work on his left arm. Ryder comes in and takes Carlito down with a hammerlock. Hawkins tags back in and nails three kicks to Carlito's back followed by a rolling neck snap the applies a cross arm-breaker. After a few teases for the hot tag, Carlito does a "Ricky Morton roll" and makes the tag to Primo who comes in taking out Hawkins in Ryder with some fasted paced offense. Primo hits a missile drop kick off the top rope on Ryder for a two count. Ryder comes back quickly with a school boy from behind while holding the tights. Primo makes a blind tag to Carlito who, unbeknownst to Ryder sneaks in and hits the backstabber and gets the 3 count for the win and the tag team titles.

-As the Colon Brothers celebrate, we see the My Moving Company Van back up from beside the stage.

-Quick cut to Vickie's office where Chavo is scared the Undertaker is coming for him. Chavo asks what they're going to do and Show says "We're going to smoke him out." Big Show does kind of always look stoned. Anyways, Vickie does some bad acting and says that they are going to the ring and Chavo can join them or stay in the office...alone.

BREAK

-During the break Jesse and Festus moved some random stuff and we get to see Kenny Dykstra and Ryan Braddock both still tied up. Dykstra has been tied in the same bubble wrap for 2 weeks? All kinds of disgusting questions to ponder there...Vince rarely turns down a chance to make bathroom humor.

-After a short delay, Show, Vickie and Chavo make their way to the ring. Vickie does her "Excuse me" line a few times and then completely shit's the bed on her promo. She speaks mono-syllabically as she says the line "All-of-us-are-wai-ting-for-you" and then she states that the Undertaker told her that he "swore he would never take her soul." Huh? Then why the beef? She then says, the Undertaker "took nothing." So he lived up to his promise? Vickie stinks. We get a long video of the evolution of the Show/Vickie relationship and the beat down at Unforgiven. Show says Taker isn't going to come save the day because he beat him and ended the myth of the Undertaker. Bell tolls twice...Chavo is gone. We then see Taker choking Chavo out in Vickie's office, apparently "live." Vickie sends Show to get Taker, but the feed cuts out after Show leaves. Tazz says he wants to get a word with Vickie, who is left in the ring alone. As Tazz makes it to the second ring step, the bell tolls again, lights go out and then back on...Undertaker is behind Vickie. Take grabs her by the throat and makes some evil faces at her. Eventually he picks her up and tombstones Ms. Guerrero. Taker poses over Vickie as the show ends.

2009 - Ring of Honor's Glory By Honor VIII took place in New York City, featuring a special appearance from Bret Hart, the farewells of Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness and the return of Jim Cornette.  Stu Carapola filed the following live report:

Glory By Honor VIII was easily the best ROH show I've been to since Glory By Honor V Night Two.  The show was of course sold out and ended up going five and a half hours, but it was so good that it flew by and nobody really seemed to care.  Just one awesome match after another and a couple of surprises as well.

-Colt Cabana defeated Rhett Titus in a solid opener.  Comedy match which Cabana won with the Billy Goat's Curse to avenge his defeat the previous evening.

-The Dark City Fight Club squashed Up In Smoke.  Unlike the previous evening against the Young Bucks, Up In Smoke got in very little offense and it was almost all DCFC, who are over in a big way in New York.

-Claudio Castagnoli defeated Kenny Omega following a low blow behind the ref's back and a running European Uppercut.  Omega beat Claudio in New York back at Final Battle 2008 and I thought at the time that Claudio was as good as done in ROH, but he's come back in a big way this year while Omega has stayed over and has still had good matches, but has hovered around that midcard area.

-Bret Hart came out and put over New York and his history there, waved to the crowd, thanked them for coming and left.  Still waiting for that angle.

-Roderick Strong won a Four Corner Survival against Delirious, Sonjay Dutt, and Grizzly Redwood.  Dutt had Delirious down and started to pull down his tights to make obscene gestures at Daizee Haze, but Roderick came up from behind him and hit a backbreaker and a Gibson Driver for the win.

-The American Wolves defeated Kevin Steen & El Generico in Ladder War II to retain the ROH World Tag Team Title.  This match was just brutal on all four guys, and you need to get the DVD to see what I mean, but there were some sick spots including Generico hitting a sunset bomb on Davey off the top of a ladder and through a table, followed by Edwards backdropping Generico off the top of the ladder through a table.  Eddie Edwards is the Man Of The Century for climbing in the ring for this match after the injury he suffered and had a big cast on his arm, but he was the most over guy in the match for toughing it out and earning everyone's respect.

INTERMISSION

-Chris Hero defeated Eddie Kingston.  Kingston had the loaded elbow pad he stole from Hero some time back, but Hero had a second loaded elbow pad which he put on and used to knock out Kingston.

-Next up was Austin Aries' Lucky Lottery, and he pulled Bret Hart's name out of the hat, claiming that this proves he's not ducking the quality challengers.  Petey Williams came out and told Aries that everyone knows Bret can't wrestle, but he'd be happy to take his fellow Canadian's place and challenge Aries for the title tonight.  Aries suckerpunches Petey, leading to...

-Austin Aries defeated Petey Williams by countout to retain the ROH World Title.  This was obviously a totally throwaway title defense, but it did look like Petey was going to beat him after hitting a Canadian Destroyer off the top rope (which Aries was insane to take).  Aries rolled to the floor and Petey went after him, but Aries gave him a brainbuster on the floor and rolled into the ring to beat the count and retain.

-Before Bobby Cruise could announce the next match, No More Mister Nice Guy started playing and out comes Jim Cornette to a huge ovation.  I can't do justice to the promo Cornette did, but the basic idea was that he and TNA had parted ways, it was an acceptable departure for both sides, and the next day he got a call from Cary Silkin offering him a job as the Executive Producer of ROH On HDNet, which he accepted.  This brought out Austin Aries who said that, as the ROH World Champion, he's the guy with all the real power around here, and he's going to see to it that Cornette (who Aries says can't play the political game and is impossible to get along with) becomes the first guy to get fired from WWE, TNA, and ROH.  I guess he never heard about Teddy Hart.  Cornette responded by saying that he's been watching the A Double L Double and is going to guarantee that he's not going to be drawing any more phony challengers out of a hat in some sham lottery, he's going to make sure that Aries is defending the title against the top contenders every single time he steps in the ring.

-The Young Bucks defeated Jay & Mark Briscoe.  This was not as off the charts as I would have expected (the Young Bucks-Cheech & Cloudy match from the night before was better), but was still very good.  Bucks won clean with the Finlay Roll/450/Moonsault combo.

-Finally, in the most holy match this year, Bryan Danielson defeated Nigel McGuinness in both men's final match in ROH.  This was good, but again not as good as Danielson's match against Davey, and I definitely got the impression that Nigel wasn't going to go too crazy and risk himself before going to WWE.  They did repeat the "ramming the opponent into the ringpost" spot from Unified (though this time it was Danielson getting rammed in, though his head didn't crack into the post like Nigel did), and they also repeated the spot from Driven where they took turns running off the ropes and headbutting each other (and I could actually hear their heads crack together from the balcony), and then after a lot of close calls, Danielson got the win after locking Nigel in the triangle choke and ramming elbows into his head until the referee stopped the match.

-After the match was over, the entire ROH roster came out around the ring and it was speech time.  Nigel was up first and put over the company and Danielson and told the fans to keep supporting ROH before getting down on his knees and kissing the ROH logo in the middle of the mat.  Danielson was next and he gave a similar speech, but also thanked the fans, put over Roderick, the American Wolves, and Austin Aries as the best guys in ROH right now, putover Todd Sinclair as the guy who, as much as the fans give him a hard time, is the best ref in the business right now (which actually got the crowd to start a Todd Sinclair chant), and then put over Cary Silkin, saying that ROH would not be around right now if it weren't for him.  He told the fans to keep supporting ROH and had the music man play The Final Countdown one last time as he went around and high fived every fan at ringside.  I actually saw people crying at ringside as all this was going on.

Terrific, terrific weekend and I highly recommend everyone get the Glory By Honor VIII DVD when it comes out because it was the best top to bottom show ROH has done in a long, long time.  The fans were all very respectful and appreciative of Danielson and Nigel all weekend, and I was happy to see there were no BS "you sold out" chants or anything disrespectful.

2010 - In anticipation of his WWE release, Matt Hardy was removed by WWE from the Smackdown TV opening.

2010 - Dragon Gate USA debuted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  JP Nichols filed the following live report:

On September 26th, 2010 (my birthday and one Gabe Sapolsky's for that matter), I got the opportunity to attend Dragon Gate USA's "The Way of the Ronin" show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I arrived at the venue at approximately 1:00 (the originally projected belltime for Golden Ringside ticket holders was 1:15.) Everyone in the area was aware of the fact that the ring situation and Gabe Sapolsky was very informative to the fans outside the Miramir Theatre, repeatedly giving updates on the situation with the ring. All of the fans were very forgiving over the situation. The ring arrived at around 1:45. I believe the ring may have belonged to one "Skullcrusher" Rasche Brown, but do not take my word for it. (On the side of the truck, there was a "Krusher" logo, so I am just assuming). At about 2:20, we were informed that we should be let in at around 3:15 to 3:30 at the latest. We were let in at about 3:00 and it did not take long for the show to get started thereafter. The venue for the show was very small, making it a very intimate environment and the crowd was phenomenally more hot than the crowd seen in Chicago the previous night.

Results:

-Aeroform (Louis Lyndon and Flip Kendrick) over Zero Gravity (CJ Esparza & Brett Gakiya).

-CIMA over Chuck Taylor via Meteora.

-Johnny Gargano over Drake Younger after two kicks to the face and two Hurt DonutsBrodie Lee over Rich Swann/Mike Quackenbush/Jimmy Jacobs/Kyle O'Reiley/Silas Young after a running big boot to Swann.

-Dragon Kid over Arik Cannon after a Crucifix Bomb.

Ricochet over Gran Akuma after a 630 Splash.

-Bryan Danielson over Jon Moxley via 10 stomps to the face and a LeBell Lock.

-Kamikaze USA (Shingo, Akira Tozawa, YAMATO) over WORLD-1 (BxB Hulk, Masato Yoshino, and Naruki Doi) after a Stay Dream by Shingo on BxB Hulk.

Aeroform/Zero Gravity was a solid match from two high flying teams. Zero Gravity is a team that I have not seen too much of, but they did really well for themselves tonight. With a bit more experience, I could see them being prominent on the indy scene in the future.

After this match, there was a brief 10 minute intermission before the main show got under way.

CIMA/Chuck Taylor: CIMA is a great spokesman for the company. His promos are always fun to listen to and he is very friendly towards the crowd. He informed the crowd of Ricochet earning a spot in WARRIORS in Chicago yesterday and asked if the crowd felt that Chuck Taylor also deserved a spot to which most booed, then cheered Chuck as he entered. Go figure.  I felt that this match was a great choice to open the "main" portion of the show. Both men meshed very well together, displaying some great comedy in the early minutes of the match. There was some great action all around. I'm very happy for Chuck Taylor to be getting more shots like this. In the past year and a half or so, he has really made an impact thanks to places like PWG and Chikara (and IWA in 2006 when he was their champion.)
After CIMA won, Gargano came out to once again continue his quest to gain CIMA's approval. This led to Drake vs. Gargano as Drake attacked while Johnny was talking.

Drake/Gargano: This was more of a brawl than I expected, but it was a very fun brawl. Both of them brawled around the venue a bit, but when they made it to the ring, the action was just as hot. In my opinion, due to how likable he is, Drake is a very easy wrestler to get behind in a match while Gargano (much like Chuck Taylor) can provide good comedy while also getting under the fans' skin.
Six Way Match (Brodie Lee/Rich Swann/Mike Quackenbush/Kyle O'Reily/Silas Young/Jimmy Jacobs): I was very surprised to see Mike Quackenbush come out. My friend and I originally thought that perhaps Arik Cannon had travel issues, hence Mike replacing him. I was informed that Quack said in an interview earlier this week that he was feeling sick going into this weekend, so it was probably the right decision to switch him and Cannon.

This reminded me quite a bit of some of the great 6-man scrambles that Ring of Honor had about three years ago. Action all around, and too many things went on to write down. In my personal opinion, this match was even better than the very acclaimed four way match from the recent Philadelphia PPV between Adam Cole/Arik Cannon/Ricochet/Chuck Taylor. All six men deserve a lot of props for bringing the heat for this one.

Arik Cannon/Dragon Kid: I thought this match was very solid. I felt that there was some communication issues between the two at points, but I am very happy that Arik got to do a big singles match like this. Out of the four coming out of the Philly PPV, I felt that he was the most underappreciated in that match and deserved much more praise. It was not said if this match, like CIMA/Chuck Taylor, was a tryout for WARRIORS, but both did very well for themselves.

Ricochet/Gran Akuma: These two also put on a solid match. Ricochet is a big topic on the independent scene right now, which I feel is very well deserved. On Saturday, Yoshino/Doi/CIMA did a great job with making Ricochet out to be the star of that match, and after this match, Dragon Kid and CIMA continued to help make Ricochet look like a big deal.

Bryan Danielson/Jon Moxley: This match exceeded my expectations quite a bit. I love Jon Moxley, but I questioned the idea of these two working well together. As Danielson promised at the end of last night's Chicago show, this was not going to be a wrestling match. It was going to be a fight. The two of them fought around the ringside area, including Danielson doing a suicide dive into the crowd. Danielson even ended up bleeding, which I was very surprised over. He did not hold himself back at all in his two matches this weekend. Moxley was very over as a heel, pushing around his valet, but eventually succumbed to Danielson's claim: that he (Danielson) was going to kick his ****ing head in. I felt that this was a nice counteract to his match with YAMATO which at points was a very stiff match, but this was reminiscent of Danielson's series with Morishima in the aspect of both him and Moxley just not holding back against one another at all.

The post match I felt was very effective as well, to further establish Moxley as the top heel and further establish Jimmy Jacobs as one of the top babyfaces. Danielson put him over very nicely and was very funny, joking about the fact that because he was bleeding "he would probably be fired tomorrow."

Kamikaze/WORLD-1: As should be expected with these six-man tags, as cliché as it sounds, there is way too much action to call. These six went at it for around 29 minutes and I felt it was a better six-man tag than the one in Phoenix this year (which I still found great). Tozawa is such a great heel who should be REALLY fantastic in the next year or two. The two that particularly stuck out in this match to me were BxB Hulk and Shingo. For those not aware, these two had one of my favorite matches of the year in Dragon Gate in July that saw BxB lose his trademark hair. These two just really seemed like they legitimately hate each other. I would have to assume that since Shingo pinned BxB on this show, he will get a title shot at either 10/29 in Massachusetts or 10/30 in New Jersey which should be another fantastic match between these two. This match is definitely something to go out of your way to see.

Due to the delay, they had the meet and greet with Bryan Danielson after the show who seemed to (as always) be very friendly to his fans.

The show was over at approximately 6 PM. I think someone claimed the total length of the main show was about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and what a 2 hours and 15 minutes it was. Having seen all of DG USA's shows (barring Windsor from 5/7), this in my opinion may be the best show that they have had since the first show on 7/25/09. In fact, this show may have been even better than that one. This show just had a great flow (the lack of intermission probably helped) and I felt that every match delivered. Dragon Gate USA has not been very quick as of late with getting their shows to DVD, but I personally feel that this show should be put out as soon as possible. It is definitely a runner for independent show of the year in my opinion. Everyone involved deserves all of the credit. The wrestlers (who also helped o set up the ring once it arrived), the production crew, Gabe and Sal, and the fans in attendance for being a very hot crowd for what was a very hot show from Dragon Gate.

2011 -  WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We are live from Kansas City, Missouri and your announcers are Jim ‘When will I be able to see this show in my market’Ross, Booker ‘Someone get King healed’ T and Michael ‘Happy Birthday Scoops’ Cole.

We see the Cell hanging above the ring since Hell in a Cell is on Sunday.

Triple H makes his way to the ring and we see his firing of R Truth and Miz and their removal from the building.

Hunter says that he wants to explain his actions from last week. Truth and Miz were fired not because of his ego or some conspiracy theory. They were fired because of . . .

what happened after Night of Champions when they cut a promo about a conspiracy list. Then we see Miz and Truth apologizing last Monday before being fined $250,000 each.

Hunter tells Miz and Truth that they were fired for their own actions. They savagely attacked a WWE Official. Then they came to him with a weak apology. He says that he was going to be fired, but he decided to fine them so he could use them one more time in a main event before firing them. Hunter says that the fine will be paid by Mark Henry. He will pay that fine for putting his hands on Jim Ross and for attacking Jerry Lawler and putting him through a table.

Hunter says that no one man is bigger than the WWE. Hunter reminds us that he fired one of his best friends for lying to him. He says that he will do what is best for the WWE.

Vickie Guerrero comes out to interrupt Hunter with a few Excuse Mes. She says hat the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler has something to say. Hunter says that he is glad that Hunter is out here because he is talking about doing what is right for the business. He wants to know what he is going to do for him. Dolph reminds Hunter that Hugh Jackman fractured his jaw . . . an actor (no offense) fractured his jaw. Dolph says that he was stealing the show last week like he always does.

We see the graphic of the punch. Dolph says that he can still compete and he will do it for the kids who look up to him. He says that he cannot eat solid food so he wants to know what Hunter is going to do about this.

Hunter says that Hugh Jackman, an actor from Hollywood, was a guest on the show and Hugh punched Dolph in his glass jaw. Hunter says that he can get some security for when the Muppets are here next month.

Cody Rhodes comes out and he says that if it was amusing when DOlph got sucker punched, Hunter must have been rolling on the floor when RandyOrton maliciously hit him in the head with the ring bell. Cody says that he had nine staples in his head. Cody says that was worse than shoving a referee. Why wasn’t Orton punished or fined?

Hunter says that he wished that Cody had his mouth stapled. A few years ago, Randy Orton came out to handcuff him and watch him attack his wife. Hunter says that he didn’t whine. He went to Orton’s house to beat him up.

The complaint line continues with Christian to air his grievances. He says that he doesn’t interrupt a conversation that doesn’t involve him. What happened to him last week was worse. Sheamus put his hands on Christian during his match, threw him into the ring and cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. Christian wants to hear from Hunter how that was fair.

Hunter says that it was a Lumberjack match and it is the job of the lumberjacks to throw you back in.

Christian says that he has had enough . . . all of them have had enough. Christian asks them if they want to join him in filing the biggest lawsuit in the history of WWE. Christian says that he could change his mind if he gets ‘one more match’.

Hunter says that it seems fair if he gives Christian what he wants. Christian gets one more match at Hell in a Cell against Sheamus.

On Friday, Christian gets one more match against Randy Orton. Tonight, Christian gets one more match against John Cena.

Christian asks if it is for the title and Hunter says no. Christian says this is unacceptable.

Dolph says that he figures that Hunter isn’t going to do the right thing. Last week, Dolph got beaten so he will defend it this week against the man who beat him last week. Hunter says that he hopes that Zack Ryder wins the title tonight.

Dolph and Vickie storm out of the ring.

Hunter tells Cody that because he has a zipper on the side of his head, he gets the night off. Cody says that with all due respect, he says that Hunter is a poor excuse for a COO. Hunter says that is a great idea that Cody defends the Intercontinental Title tonight. Cody says that Hunter should resign. Hunter says that Cody will have to face the first nine men he finds in a ten man battle royal.

2012 - PWInsider.com reported the following: "A number of independent promotions have sent word that TNA is no longer allowing their contracted talents to appear on DVDs of indy events sold by those promotions. PWInsider.com is working on confirming that with TNA.

Since 2004, TNA has policy has been that sales of DVDs featuring their talent was OK, as long as the independent promotion was selling it directly themselves and it was not for sale via a third party. For example, XYZ Wrestling could sell DVDs featuring TNA talents on XYZ's website and at their events, but not through Best Buy or Amazon.com. The word making the rounds is that TNA no longer wants their talent to be on any independent DVDs released that are sold online, even if they are being sold by the promotion themselves.

Obviously, this will have a massive ripple effect on where and how TNA talents are booked by independent promotions going forward. It's not hard to assume there will be a drop in TNA talents' bookings out to third parties. The flip side to that is that TNA does run more live events now than in any other time in their history, so while they cycle which talents are working TNA live events, they are providing more dates a week now overall.

PWInsider.com has contacted TNA for comment, but does not expect a response this evening."

Winner: Richie Steamboat

After the match, Ohno attacks Steamboat from behind with a roaring elbow. Ohno applies the cravate chicken wing and referees come to the ring to try to get Ohno to release the hold. Ohno tries to get his hands on Steamboat but the officials keep him out of the ring.

We go to credits.

2013 - Hulk Hogan made his final appearance for TNA during an Impact Wrestling taping in Little Rock, Arkansas.   At the end of the taping, an angle was shot where Hulk Hogan quit TNA in disgust during a segment with Dixie Carter. The segment ended with Carter wrapping herself around Hogan's leg trying to keep him from leaving the ring.  Hogan would exit TNA and return to WWE in February 2014.

2013 -TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Stu Carapola filed the following TV report:

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report here on PWInsider.com!

We start off by looking back at last week when Brutus Magnus wound up on the wrong end of a 3-on-1 attack by Ego, Bully Ray pissed off his Aces & Eights brothers by giving Brooke Tessmacher complete credit for his success, and AJ Styles shot on Dixie Carter before Dixie came out and turned heel by taking credit for the success of TNA and cutting the show off just as it was about to go off the air anyway.

Speaking of Dixie, she comes storming into the building when she is stopped by Sting, who tries to talk to her about AJ Styles. She acts like she doesn't have time to talk to Sting, ignoring him and playing on her phone before telling Sting not to worry about Dixie and AJ because she's got this one under control.

We go to the arena where Bully Ray and Brooke Tessmacher come out to the ring so Bully can share his thoughts with the fans. Bubba says he's rarely at a loss for words, but Dixie Carter shocked the hell out of him. Bubba's been up at night wondering how he's going to beat AJ Styles, but now he doesn't have to worry about it because of how inside AJ's head Dixie Carter has gotten. He doesn't always see eye to eye with Dixie, but she's right when she said she made AJ Styles, then Bully Ray asks if the fans know who he is. Knux comes out with Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco and says that he knows who Bully is supposed to be, but he's out here taking care of Bully Ray business and is more worried about his ho than his bros. Bubba says he's only going to tell Knux once not to call Brooke a ho, so of course the fans uniformly start chanting "HO HO HO" at Brooke. Knux says they're going to take care of club business, meaning the three of them, not Bubba. Bubba tells them to stay in line because they don't make the rules in this club, his patch says President, and theirs should say lackey because he makes the rules around here. They saw what he did to D-Lo, Anderson, and his own brother Devon, and they need to ask why he wouldn't do the same to the three of them. If they want to start making decisions without him, then that's fine, because if they lose tonight, one of them is going to be out of the club. Let's see, who else's contract is up...?

Tonight: Manik defends the X Division Title against Chris Sabin! Also, ODB is the new TNA Knocked Up Champion, and she'll team with Eric Young and Joseph Park to face Gail Kim and the Bromans! Speaking of Joseph Park, he's backstage shaving and singing Sweet Caroline, but EY and ODB come rushing in and stop him in case he cuts himself shaving. There are civilians back here and they can't risk anyone getting hurt, so there's a new rule: no shaving on match days. ODB tells EY not to even think about it because momma loves the beard.

ODB, Eric Young & Joseph Park vs Gail Kim & The Bromans

Mike Tenay is forced to plug Dixie Carter's Twitter as Robbie E bounces off Park on a crossbody attempt. He tries to slam Park, but Park easily blocks and slams him in return for 2. Chicanery in the heel corner lands Park in trouble, and he winds up on the receiving end of a beating from Jessie, who dropkicks Park in the face. Jessie tries a sunset flip, Park tries to vertical splash him, but Jessie moves out of the way and tags out to Robbie, who comes off the second rope with a clothesline. He hits it again for 2, then mounts Park and drills him in the face with right hands. Gail tags in and starts unloading on Park with strikes, and Park tries to warn her, but she makes the mistake of slapping him in the face, and she tags out as soon as she sees how made she made Park. The Bromans try to double team Park, but he takes them both out with a double clothesline and tags in EY, who goes crazy beating up both Bromans. Gail takes a shot at EY, but ODB comes in and dumps her out to the ramp. Robbie gets in her face and shoots his mouth off, so she rubs his face into her boobs, Park clotheslines him to the floor, and EY hits a Death Valley Driver, Park splashes Jessie, and Young hits the top rope elbow. ODB tags in and splashes Jessie for the win, slappipng him on the ass for good measure as the referee counts 3.

Winners: ODB, Eric Young & Joseph Park

Austin Aries is backstage and a new Mystery Cameraman asks what's next for him now that the Bound For Glory Series is over. Aries says that instead of telling him, he'll walk out to the ring so he can tell everyone at once.

Jason Hervey catches Hulk Hogan as he shows up at the building to ask about Dixie Carter, and he says he had to READ THE TRANSCRIPT several times to believe it. Hey Hulk, they have this thing called a DVR! Hogan says he's going to straighten this crap out tonight.

Austin Aries comes out to the ring and says everyone wants to know what's next for him. He says that last year, he was battling Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory, and that's not happening this year, but he's always in the main event no matter where on the card he is. Aries is cut off by Kenny King's music, and the PRetty Boy Pitbull himself comes out to say that he heard what Aries was saying and it was starting to get on his nerves a little bit. Aries tells him to say what's on his mind, and King says that he knows that Aries likes to make headlines, but King was the one making headlines last year when he was the X Division Champion. One day the headline read that he had his X Division Title stolen by Chris Sabin, and he was all ready to get it back, but someone snuck into that nasty Manik costume and stole his title. King asks if Aries remembers who that was (hint: it was Aries), and Aries is out here talking like the future of wrestling, and he might have been Generation Next ten years ago, but now King is the next generation. Aries says if King wants to talk about the future, then Aries can talk about right now, so he says that if King wants to stop talking, they can do something right now. King is going to tell Aries what Hillary Clinton says in bed: you don't want none of this. King says he's not fighting Aries today, but he sucker punches him anyway. Aries is infuriated and goes back after King, and King runs away, but Aries says he doesn't get to suckerpunch him and run, and he demands that a referee come out right now. A referee heard King back toward the ring as Aries nails King with a double axhandle off the top rope, and this match will start after the commercial break!

Austin Aries vs Kenny King

We come back from commercial to join the match in progress as Aries tosses King into the ring and pummel him with left hands. King is busted open for the only time I ever remember seeing, but he has the presence of mind to elevate Aries and hotshot him on the top rope to turn the tide. King drives his boot into the throat of Aries in the corner, then a snapmare and indy kick before King starts hammering Aries with right hands. King hits a leaping elbow in the corner and tries the slingshot legdrop, but Aries moves and King lands on his ass. Aries starts to mount a comeback with multiple chops and an atomic drop, he gets backdropped to the apron, but slingshots his way back in and hits a backbreaker/STO combo. He sets up and hits the pendulum elbow, then waits for King to get to his feet so he can go for the brainbuster. King turns out of the move and DRILLS Aries with a big right hand, ducks a shot from Aries, and nails him with a leaping leg lariat for 2. Aries pops up and drops King, he goes for the 450 splash, but King hits a nice leaping enziguiri and a head and arm suplex off the top rope for 2. Aries dodges Shotgun Knees in the corner, hits the IED, and finishes King with the brainbuster.

Winner: Austin Aries

I sometimes wonder if Kenny King regrets leaving ROH. We barely even see him start to roll out of the ring because we hype the main event and go to commercial.

A video package tells us that Lei'D Tapa is coming to Impact!

Chris Sabin and Velvet Sky catch up with Austin Aries and says he's glad to see him get back into the X Division he made, without any help from anyone, and says he's greater than the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. He says his World Title win was a lot more memorable than Aries' was, and Aries says "Yeah, you got your ass kicked for fifteen minutes before pulling out the hammer." Sabin says he's going to make history tonight by becoming an eight time X Division Champion. Aries makes a kissy face at Velvet as they leave.

We go to the Main Event Mafia locker room where Magnus is getting pissed over how Ego got in his head. Joe and Sting talk Magnus down, and Sting reminds everyone that they're herer to take out Aces & Eights. He tells MAgnus not to get worked up by Ego because he's better than that.

Hulk Hogan is backstage, and he's...WALKING!

We're back from commercial, and Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring to talk about how great it is to be in Little Rock, and hearing the roar of the crowd makes him feel powerful, and there's a situation he has to deal with. He's been in TNA for nearly four years now, and he's always had his opinions of Dixie Carter, but she gave him the job of General Manager, and it's his job to keep things straight around here. In all his years in the business, he's seen a lot of bloodshed, but you should never air your dirty laundry in public. Hulk of all people is telling us this? Hulk asks the fans how many of them want to see AJ Styles stay with TNA, and he makes them cheer twice, then says that's exactly what he thought. He knows AJ Styles is in the back, and he wants AJ to hear the love and respect the fans have for him, and he tells the fans to give it up for AJ one more time. Hulk says it's time to cut the crap, he's bringing both AJ Styles and Dixie Carter out here later tonight, and he's going to fix it for them, for TNA, for himself, and for the fans.

Guess who's back at Bound For Glory? Here's a hint: he hates black ice. Oh, and "Ethan" is coming.

Jason Hervey catches up backstage with AJ Styles and asks for his thoughts on what Hogan had to say, and he says he has no problem hearing him out.

X Division Title Match: Manik vs Chris Sabin

Manik takes Sabin down right off the bell and goes after him with a flurry of right hands. Sabin tries to get away, so Manik drags him back into the ring and goes to the eyes. Sabin leapfrogs Manik and pretends to reinjure his knee, rolling out to the floor to be attended to by Velvet. Manik goes out after him, but makes the mistake of backing off to give Sabin time to recover. Sabin is really selling the knee, but Manik comes back out, moves Velvet out of the way, and Sabin shoves Velvet into Manik and hops up to the apron where he drills Manik with a running kick to the chest. SUCKER! They go back inside where Manik gets Sabin in the modified Texas Cloverleaf, but Sabin twists out of the move in such a way that he sends Manik crashing into the referee. Sabin takes the opening to go to the throat and make a cover for 2, then sits Manik on the top rope and goes for a superplex. Manik blocks, gives Sabin a top rope gourdbuster, then comes off the ropes with a missile dropkick. Manik peppers Sabin with a flurry of kicks and a twisting senton for 2. Sabin cradles Manik for 2, but Manik catapults Sabin into the corner before going back to the modified cloverleaf. Velvet is fervently cheering Sabin on, and he crawls to the ropes...but grabs Velvet instead of the ropes. Manik drags Sabin back to the center of the ring and Velvet with him. Sabin uses the confusion to go for a cradle, but Manik reverses to a cradle of his own for 3.

Winner: Manik

Sabin attacks Manik after the match, and Velvet looks concerned as Sabin puts the boots to Manik. Austin Aries runs out and chases Sabin off, and Velvet hesitates a bit before following him to the back.

We go to the Aces & Eights clubhouse where they talk about how it's not supposed to be this way, but Knux says he's going to fight for the colors because they can't afford to lose another member. Garett says it's not another member...it's another brother. The main event is up...NEXT!

We see another video package hyping Kurt Angle's return at Bound For Glory, then we go to Ego, who protest Angle's upcoming induction into the TNA Hall of Fame. They think the Main Event Mafia is a bunch of losers, even if Magnus is a real good loser. Daniels and Kazarian do a Dr Evil laugh, and Roode refuses to play along and walks off.

IT'S MAIN EVENT TIME!

Knux, Wes Brisco & Garett Bischoff vs Sting, Brutus Magnus & Samoa Joe

Magnus goes right after Knux, pummeling him until he tags out to Garett, who doesn't have much luck either as he falls victim to a uranage from Magnus. The match spills out to the floor where the two sides brawl. Magnus gets Bischoff back inside and goes for a top rope elbow already, but Ego runs out and shoves him off the top rope, then they mob Magnus on the floor. Sting and Joe chase them off, but the damage is done and we'r down to 3-on-2, and Knux is choking Sting over the ropes as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Sting is still in trouble in the Aces & Eights corner. Seriously, we're talking about Knux, Garett Bischoff, and Wes Brisco, are we really supposed to believe they have a shot of beating Sting, Joe, and Magnus? Sting humors us by getting beat up for a few minutes before dodging a dropkick from Brisco, clotheslining him, and making the tag to Joe, who comes in like a house of fire and cleans up on the entire Aces & Eights group. He hits a senton on Brisco for 2, then hits him with a snap powerslam for 2. All five men are in the ring as Sting whips Knux into Bischoff, hits them with a Stinger Splash, another Stinger Splash on Brisco, and Joe gets Brisco in the Kokina Clutch and forces Brisco to tap out.

Winners: Sting, Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus

And Aces & Eights is down another member. Garett Bischoff looks shocked that his partner is gone, but he doesn't have much time to reflect on things before Bully Ray comes down to the ring, waits for Brisco to get to his feet, and stares him down once he's up. He gets a microphone and asks Brisco what he told him. He says that if anyone of them lost, it would be lights out, and Brisco lost. He tapped out, he's a disgrace to his colors, and he tells Brisco to hand over his cut right now. Bischoff and Knux get in the ring as Brisco shakes his head no at Bubba. Bully calls Brisco a disgrace and tells him again to hand his cut over, but Brisco still won't do it. Bully says that's fine, and tells Garett and Knux to get that cut off of him right now. They hesitate, so Bubba says he doesn't pay them to think and tells them to take the cut off of his back right now. Bischoff and Knux look at each other while they consider what to do, then the two of them turn to Bubba and shake their heads. Bubba lays Brisco out, then asks Knux and Bischoff where their balls are. Bubba picks Brisco up, piledrives him, and as Bischoff and Knux look on in agony, the Aces & Eights music starts. Bubba says to shut the music off, then tells Knux and Bischoff to take off his cut and give it to him, or he'll do it again. Knux and Bischoff gently lift Brisco up and take the cut off, then lay him back on the mat. Bubba tells Knux specifically to hand the cut over, but Knux doesn't. Bubba asks if Knux is going to let the fans get in his head and whether he's going to listen to Bubba or the fans, but Knux shoves him away and he and Garett lift Brisco up before we hastily cut away to Hulk Hogan and AJ Styles, who are backstage, and they're...WALKING! We'll hear what they have to say...NEXT!

Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring and says there's a lot of bad blood here between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter, but he's going to get to the bottom of this right now and asks AJ Styles to come out to the ring. AJ comes out, and Hogan says it's great to be in the ring with the next TNA World Champion, but he can't have a TNA World Champion who isn't under contract, and he hands AJ A contract, tells him that he's already signed it, and just needs AJ to sign as well. AJ hesitates, then signs it and says that he's TNA's. Dixie Carter comes out and tells us to hold on just a moment, and she doesn't mean to be rude, but she was very clear why she brought Hogan to TNA: to open doors and present opportunities. Hogan's done that, and he's taught her so much about the business, but guess what? He's just and employee, and they both know he's capable of so much more than that, and she's here to make the best for him. Dixie says Hulk may see some value in the Phenomenally Marginal One, but she (takes the contract), she does not. Dixie rips the contract up and smiles at AJ, and she cuts him off when he tries to talk and tells him to get out of her ring. AJ gets in her face and she waves him off and tells him to get out of her ring, so AJ drops the mic and walks off. Hulk asks if she knows what's happening here, and Dixie says she does and she knows they're not happy with her and neither is Hulk, but 99% of the people in this world haven't had to live in her world and make the decisions she has. All the people who contacted her, criticized her, and put her down need her. Hulk puts his hand on his forehead while Dixie says it's the 1% that creates the world they get to live in, and she gets to live with the burden. It's no popularity contest and she's been down this road for 11 years, and look what it's gotten her. Dixie won't say what Hulk did jsut now was a mistake, but she wishes he would have asked her first. We'll let it go and call it a life lesson because they both know the hard decisions that have to be made, and now Hulk has a decision to make: is he going to get in line and get on Team Dixie, or be like AJ and watch from the sidelines. She doesn't want things to be like that, so she'll give him a week to think about it, and she knows he'll make the right decision. Dixie winks at Hogan, then walks to the back with a big smile on her face as Hogan stares after her in disbelief. The crowd chants for Hogan as we call it a week.

2015 - NXT ran Ft. Pierce, Florida.  Joseph Smith filed the following report:

NXT FORT PIERCE
26 SEP 15. The Fenn Center

The Meet and Greet featured Ty Dillinger,  Tyler Breeze and Solomon Crowe.

The Fenn Center is packed once again tonight.

WWE Camera crews are filming tonight's show.

Devin Taylor is our ring announcer tonight.

The opening contest is a 20 Man Battle Royal with the winner receiving a NXT Championship Match vs Finn Balor in tonight's Main Event. I wasn't able to catch many of the names as there were a lot of newer talents in the match however there were several new and mid card talents  such as Angelo Dawkins, Mike Rawls, Alexander Wolfe, Tucker Knight, and several big names: Bull Dempsey, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Solomon Crowe, Baron Corbin, and easily the biggest name and a real surprise that he is here in Ft Pierce...Samoa Joe (crowd went nuts for Samoa Joe)!  Match was very entertaining and ended with Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin hitting the floor at the same time when Joe applied a sleeper hold on Baron on the outside apron when both fell the floor.  The fans started chanting "Triple Threat" immediately as one ref declared Corbin the winner while another declared Joe the winner.  This led to Norman Smiley acting as G.M making the Main Event a Triple Threat.

Emma defeated Carmella by submission.

Tye Dillinger defeated Steve Cutler

Hugo Knox and NXT Womens Champion Bayley defeated Tyler Breeze and Dana Brooke in a mixed tag team match.

Bull Dempsey defeated Alexander Wolfe.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinal Match:
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable defeated The Hype Bros: Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder. This was an excellent match.  Hopefully more than just a few clips will be posted on WWE.Com

Riddick Moss defeated Tucker Knight.  This match was not good at all.  Boring chants break out and many are wondering why this match is booked at this point on the card.  Easily  the worst match of the night.

In the Main Event NXT Champion Finn Balor defeated Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin when Balor hits the Coup De Grace on both Joe and Corbin  while Joe had Corbin in his submission hold.  Incredible match with lots of great action.  All three worked hard and put on an amazing match.

I have to give props to a lot of the talent as many did double duty by working both the Battle Royal and regular matches.  This was a much better show than the past few Fort Pierce shows. Other than the Rawls vs Tucker match every match was very good to outstanding!

NXT returns to Fort Pierce on Saturday November 21st.

2015 - WWE ran Cleveland, Ohio.  Paul Glock filed the following results:

Neville beat Stardust.

The Lucha Dragons beat The Ascension.

Randy Orton beat Sheamus in a Cleveland Street Fight.

Natalya beat Naomi.

Dolph Zigger beat Rusev with Summer Rae.

In the main event, Roman Reign and Dean Ambrose beat Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.

They end up rap battling each other with Shiloh making fun of Jessie Belle's multiple marriages. She smacks him and they surround her.
