WHY FOLEY WAS AT SUMMERSLAM, STEPHEN AMELL-WWE UPDATE AND MORE BACKSTAGE NOTES

Mick Foley noted on Facebook that he was at Summerslam as Jon Stewart specifically invited him and wanted to do a segment with him. Foley noted he had the chance to speak with Vince McMahon before the show and was really thankful he got to appear.

Stephen Amell was said to have been been blown away by the entire Summerslam experience. A lot of the wrestlers were really impressed by how much he did in the ring and how hard he worked. There was talk of a singles match with Stardust down the line, but more of a "we could do this" as opposed to it being a concrete plan set in stone.

Pat Patterson, Kevin Nash, Jey Uso (who has been out injured) Dana Warrior and Dusty Rhodes' wife Michelle Runnells were backstage at Summerslam.

WWE's website has removed the United States championship from their champions listing. No word as to why yet.
