BIG NAME TNA WANTED FOR DESTINATION AMERICA DEBUT

As I broke in the Elite section of PWInsider.com yesterday, TNA was interested in bringing former WWE champion and WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland in for the debut of Impact Wrestling on Destination America.

Copeland was not interested as he's focusing on his family and his acting career. He, as Edge, had just appeared on Raw and noted on Taz's podcast that he felt going back to WWE once a year to help others get over was what he liked to do and had to offer.

No one has confirmed this to me, but it's pretty easy to figure out that had Edge been interested, he easily could have slipped in and replaced Kurt Angle as the storyline "Director of Authority."
