HUGE NAME RETURNS TO WWE ON RAW

The Rock returned to WWE TV for the first time since Wrestlemania 30 as a surprise in Brooklyn, NY, confronting Lana and Rusev after they challenged Big Show to come out and fight. The storyline was that Show wasn't allowed to compete by The Authority. Instead of Show, out came The Rock, shocking the live crowd, which exploded with glee.

As we noted earlier today, Rock was in NYC for meetings at The Time-Warner Headquarters. He was not brought in by WWE and he was not listed in early versions of the script for Raw. It may be a case of timing working out to WWE's benefit.

Rock got a monstrous reaction from The Brooklyn crowd and cut an awesome promo before battling off Rusev. It was easily, to that point, the highlight of the Raw broadcast.
