1986 - The seventh edition of WWF's "Saturday Night's Main Event" aired on NBC, earning a 9.4 broadcast rating. The show featured five matches that were taped in Richfield, Ohio on September 13, 1986, including a highly anticipated Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff match. Here are the results:
- WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan defeated Paul Orndorff via disqualification. Bobby Heenan was sent to the back early in the match after interfering several times. Adrian Adonis ran in from the crowd, causing the DQ. Roddy Piper, using a crutch due to a knee injury suffered at the hands of Adonis, came in and saved long-time rival Hogan. Piper hit Adonis with the crutch, giving him a legitimate separated shoulder. Piper and Hogan then had an uneasy staredown, with Hogan almost hitting Piper before Piper left the ring.
- Ricky Steamboat defeated Jake Roberts with a small package. After the match, Roberts went to put his snake on Steamboat, but Steamboat ran him off with his komodo dragon.
- Roddy Piper defeated The Iron Sheik. Due to Piper's injury, Pedro Morales was going to substitute for Piper, but Piper threatened to hit him with his crutch if Morales didn't get out of the ring. Morales left, and Sheik attacked Piper. Sheik went for a suplex, and Piper reversed it into a small package and held the tights for the pin in less than a minute.

The belt has been vacated in August when The Patriot won the Global North American Title, and was not allowed to hold both championships.

1983 - El Canek defeats Dos Caras to retain the UWA World Heavyweight Title in the main event of a show in Mexico City that draws over 28,000 fans.

1993 - Marcus Alexander Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio defeat The Nasty Boys to win the WCW World Tag Team Title in Columbus, Georgia.

1993 - Tim Horner defeats Juicy Johnny for the SMW "Beat The Champ" Television Title in Jellico, Tennessee, starting his second reign. The rules for the "Beat The Champ" title were that, after five successful title defenses, the belt would be vacated. On the same show, Chris Candido defeats Bobby Blaze for the SMW U.S. Junior Heavyweight Title.

1993 - A battle royal was held on Monday Night Raw to fill the vacant WWF Intercontinental Title (champion Shawn Michaels temporarily split with WWF over a contract dispute) with the rules being that the final two participants would meet in a singles match the following week for the title. Razor Ramon and Rick Martel were the co-winners, and would meet the following week, with Ramon winning the belt.

2006 - WWE premiered "The Marine" at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA.  Mark Carpowich filed the following report:

I attended Tuesdays' world premiere of "The Marine" at the Camp Pendleton Marine base in San Diego. The superstars were supposed to start arriving at 5. I got there at 3, and there were already a couple-hundred people in line. Marines from the base were handing out T-shirts, dog tags, rubber wristbands and commemorative tickets.

At about 4, they moved everyone from a line on the side of the building to the red carpet area outside the theater. Todd Grisham talked briefly to the crowd around 4:30, and at about 5:10, the superstars started to show up. Most of them cut promos on a small stage set up at the foot of the red carpet. From there, they signed autographs and posed for pictures. All of the superstars were enormously accommodating and classy. Most looked kind of tired and were gracious enough to sign for pretty much everyone. Maria in particular was very enthusiastic and had a great, happy attitude.

For some reason, the base was advertising that Torrie Wilson and HBK would also be there. The press release from 20th Century Fox never mentioned them. Needless to say, they were not there.

HHH got a huge pop. Todd Grisham interviewed him on the stage, and HHH told him not to ask any stupid questions. Grisham almost immediately asked about H's role in "Blade 3" and asked if he'd rather play a vampire or a Marine. H said he told Grisham not to ask stupid questions. H then put over Cena, saying the evening was about John Cena and the movie, and if anyone had a problem with that, he had two words for them.

Coach was the only heel in attendance, but aside from some initial boos, no one gave him too much heat. Crowd absolutely loved Cena, who of course showed up last. Spoke briefly, then met the troops. Tons of wives and kids in attendance, who of course were ecstatic.

Overall, a great event. I was pleasantly surprised at how classy WWE was. Between giving away merchandise (which of course is advertising for the movie), the free movie, and very gracious wrestlers who did not disappoint the crowd, I was very impressed.

2007 - WWE announced that Michael Lake was hired as President of its WWE Films division.  He would last until 2011.

2007 - TNA on SpikeTV officially expanded to a two hour format.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

Tonight is a historic night for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as they start their third year on SpikeTV with their first regular two-hour episode. We are now less than two weeks away from Bound for Glory in Atlanta. What will happen between Kurt Angle and Sting as they get ready for their match for the TNA Heavyweight Title? Will Team 3D continue to wreak havoc on the roster and if they do, who are this week's victims going to be? What will happen in the main event when Triple X, Christian Cage, and A.J. Styles face LAX, Samoa Joe, and Junior Fatu? What will happen when Pacman Jones steps in the ring against Team 3D? Who will win the Gauntlet Match tonight? Who will be in that match? What will be the first segment in the two hour era? What will be the first match of the two hour era?

We start off with a new video package that talks about the five year history of TNA. It talks about growing and accomplishments. Ray chops Dutt in the ring while Devon works over Lethal on the floor.

Shark Boy comes to the ring to try to help out Dutt and Lethal and he is wearing his neck brace. Ray backs away from Shark Boy but it is a trap to allow Devon to attack him from behind. Shark Boy gets a 3D for his troubles. Devon gives Dutt to Ray who is sitting on the turnbuckle and then he hits a sit out power bomb from the second turnbuckle on Dutt. Devon gets a table and Ray rolls Lethal into the ring. Devon sets up a table while Ray is on the mic. He tells Jim Cornette that Team 3D versus Team Pacman better be for the TNA Tag Team Titles because if it is not, this is what they are going to do to every tag team and wrestler in TNA. Team 3D gives Lethal a 3D through the table.

Roode makes sure that Traci wants the job and when she says that she does he tells her to do something because she hasn't done anything for him in the last twelve months. He tells Traci that she better win the Gauntlet Match at Bound for Glory because losers are not accepted in Robert Roode Incorporated. Roode ends the interview.

By his fifth or sixth retirement, Funk came back and defeated him for the ECW World Title. Raven says that he learned a valuable lesson. We go back to California and Kurt Angle is in the parking lot. Angle says that it has been a long day and his son had a great game. Angle says that Garrett is an incredible athlete like his dad, or like his dad ten years ago. Angle says that he wants to face the old Sting at Bound for Glory. He wants to face the Sting with the fire and the passion and would never quit. Angle says that the only way that he is going to get that Sting back is to do what he is going to do. Angle says that he is also still pissed off that Sting slapped his wife. Angle goes to Garrett and says that he wants to talk to him. Garrett says that this has nothing to do with him but Kurt tells him that it does have to do with him. Kurt tells Garrett that his father slapped his wife. Garrett pushes his car door into Angle and says that his father did not touch Kurt's wife. Garrett gets into the car but Angle grabs Garrett through the window. Angle pulls Garrett out of the car and tells Sting that he will leave the rest of it up to his imagination. We hear some scuffling as we go to credits.

2008 - Former WWF star and MMA legend Ken Shamrock was medically disqualified from his Elite XC fight against Kimbo Slice, a fight that was scheduled to be the main event of the CBS Saturday Night Fights special. On short notice, former K-1 & UFC fighter Seth Petruzelli stepped in to substitute and defeated Slice in just 14 seconds.   The loss of Shamrock and Slice's rapid fashion loss to a substitute that agreed to the fight less than three hours earlier threw a major monkey wrench into Elite XC, which has been building their brand around Slice and were banking on a big rating for the lure of Shamrock vs. Slice.   Comments made by Petruzelli afterward hinted at some shady doings, which led to the end of the CBS interest in ElieteXC and started a chain reaction that killed the company...all because Shamrock was DQ'd.

2009 - Although it first debuted in 1997, The Hell in A Cell PPV graduated into a full fledged PPV for the first time, broadcast from Newark, NJ.  Buck Woodward filed the following PPV report:

Welcome to our coverage of WWE's Hell In A Cell PPV.  We will be updating this page throughout the evening, so check back often for results from the show.

The Hell In A Cell PPV opened, as you would expect, with a video package focusing on the three cell matches on the show.

The events leading to CM Punk vs. The Undertaker was shown, then the Hell In A Cell was lowered.  Then CM Punk entered, then Undertaker made his entrance.  Yep, Undertaker is opening a PPV.  Oh, and we're 15 minutes into the show, and a match hasn't started yet.

World Champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell match.

Undertaker tried to back Punk in a corner at the start, but Punk threw some right hands.  Undertaker begged him to throw more, and Punk ran out of the ring.  Punk went back into the ring as Taker went out after him, but Undertaker pulled him out and started throwing him into the steel mesh walls of the Cell.  Undertaker hit a body punch and headbutted Punk.  Punk tried to fight back, but Taker rammed him into a support beam on the Cell.  Punk got on the apron, but Undertaker kicked him off, into the Cell wall.  Punk crawled under the ring and out the other side, then dropkicked the ringsteps into Undertaker's knees as he was coming around after him.

Punk stomped Undertaker's leg, and there were dueling chants for Undertaker and Punk.  Punk went to pull Taker's leg into the ringpost, but Undertaker kicked him away.  On the ring apron, Punk hit a jumping knee, then Punk went for a bulldog off the apron, but Taker threw him into the Cell wall.  Undertaker, selling the leg, hit the ring apron legdrop with the good leg.  Undertaker was slow getting back in the ring, and Punk kicked Taker back to the floor.  Punk then dove out of the ring and hit a tope, sending Undertaker backwards into the steel mesh.  In the ring, Punk traded shots with the Undertaker, then Undertaker went for Snake Eyes, but Punk floated over, only to be caught with a boot to the face.  Undertaker scored a two count with a legdrop.  Undertaker went for a chokeslam, but Punk kicked his leg out.  Punk went for a GTS, but Taker slid out of it and scooped up Punk for a tombstone, but Punk floated out and kicked out Taker's bad leg.

Punk went under the ring and grabbed a chair, nailing Undertaker in the head with it.  Punk scored a two count.  Punk hit a running knee in the corner, but Undertaker grabbed him as he stood on the second rope and powerbombed him with the Last Ride for a two count.  Undertaker went for the Old School rope walk, but Punk pulled him off and hit a knee to the gut for a two count.  Punk covered him again for another two.  Punk went for a running chairshot, but Undertaker kicked the chair into Punk's face.  Undertaker hit a chokeslam, stumbled on his bad leg, and called for the tombstone.  Undertaker hit it and scored the pin at the eleven minute mark.

Winner and new World Champion: The Undertaker.

Undertaker limped as he left the ring, but held up the World Title belt on the stage before leaving.

An ad for Breaking Point, emphasizing the Raw vs. Smackdown theme, was shown.

Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler took Morrison to the mat, and they traded hammerlocks, with Morrison cradling Ziggler for a two count.  They went to the mat again, with Morrison grabbing a headlock and Ziggler rolling it into a pin attempt for two.  Ziggler kicked Morrison in the gut and hit a right hand, then pulled him to the mat with a side mare.  Ziggler hit a shoulderblock, and then the two ran the ropes, with Morrison hitting a dropkick after a leapfrog for two.  Morrison slammed Ziggler and hit a handstand legdrop for a two count.  Morrison applied a chinlock, but Ziggler got to his feet and hit Morrison in the neck. Ziggler applied a rear chinlock.

Ziggler switched to a side headlock, and kept Morrison on the mat.  Morrison shoved it off and slid under Ziggler, tripping him to the mat.  Morrison hit a springboard bodypress for a two count.  Morrison hit a dropkick, then went for Starship Pain, but Ziggler rolled out of the way.  Ziggler dropped an elbow for a two count, then hit a dropkick for another two.  Ziggler applied a chinlock, then went into a reverse cravate.  Morrison turned into it and punched Ziggler in the body to break free.  Morrison slid under Ziggler and hit an uppercut, but then ran into a Ziggler powerslam for two.

Ziggler hit a rolling necksnap, then stomped him and yelled "New Champion" before choking him against the bottom rope.  Ziggler kicked and punched Morrison, then rammed him head first into the mat by his hair.  Ziggler slammed Morrison and got another two count.  Ziggler hit a fireman's carry takedown and arrogantly yelled at Morrison to get up.  Ziggler hit a second takedown and got a two count.  Ziggler yelled at him to get up again.  Ziggler went for a slam, but Morrison floated around him and hit a DDT.

They traded punches as they got up, with Morrison getting the better of it.  Morrison hit a clothesline and a leg lariat, then hit a standing Shooting Star Press for a two count.  Morrison went for a suplex, but Ziggler floated over and rolled him up for a two count, but the referee saw Ziggler grab the ropes for leverage.  As Ziggler argued, Morrison rolled him up for two.  Ziggler went for a sunset flip, Morrison rolled through and went for a knee, but Ziggler ducked it.  Ziggler hit a jawbreaker for a two count. Ziggler put Morrison on the middle rope for a superplex, but Morrison punched Ziggler to the mat. Morrison jumped off the top and Ziggler went to dropkick him, but Morrison grabbed the legs, landed on his feet, and gave Ziggler a catapult into the corner for a two count.

Morrison went for the Flying Chuck kick, but Ziggler ducked it and hit a German suplex for a two count. Ziggler hit a Rocker Dropper for a two, and then yelled in frustration.  Ziggler charged Morrison and got kicked in the face.  Morrison went for Starship Pain, but Ziggler got up, grabbed Morrison and gave him a reverse slam to the mat for another two.  There was a slight "This is Awesome" chant.  Ziggler went for the Zig Zag, but Morrison grabbed the top rope and Ziggler crashed to the mat.  Morrison hit a running knee to the head, then Starship Pain for the pin at the sixteen minute mark.

Winner: John Morrison.

Josh Mathews interviewed Batista and Rey Mysterio, with Batista insisting on introducing Mysterio.  Mathews talked to them about their 2005 tag team championship win, and trying to "recreate the magic" again.  Mysterio said Batista is like his "big brother" and he was there for him.  Mysterio talked about how Chris Jericho tried to take his mask and his pride, and tonight, he and Batista would take the tag titles from them.  Batista said they would be the next Unified tag team champions.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were shown in a skybox.  Michael Cole said the Turtles are 25.  So, how are they still teenagers?  A preview of their video game was shown (they're sponsoring the PPV, if you didn't know).

A sign in the crowd says "Where's my ECW Title match?"

Divas Champion Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox.

They locked up and Mickie took Alicia to the mat, but Fox got back to her feet still in the lock up before breaking off.  They locked up again, and Fox grabbed an armwringer.  Mickie cartwheeled out of it and swept Fox's leg for a one count.  Mickie grabbed an arm wringer, and Fox went for a hiptoss, but Mickie blocked it and hit a monkey flip.  Mickie snapmared Fox and dropkicked her in the face for a two count.  Fox reversed a whip, but Mickie hit a kick to the gut and a neckbreaker.  Mickie went to the second rope, but Fox grabbed her leg and pulled her to the mat and scored a two count.  Fox applied a chinlock, then pulled her hair.

Mickie hit a few shots to the gut, but Fox hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.  Fox posed before covering for a two, then applied a bodyscissors.  Fox hit some crossface shots and pulled her hair while keeping the hold on.  Mickie elbowed out of it.  Crowd is starting to chant "boring".  Mickie hit some forearms, then a clothesline.  Mickie hit a few more, then a rana out of the corner.  The crowd is just quiet now.  Mickie hit a Thesz press off the top rope, then went for a DDT, but Fox backed her in a corner.  Fox pulled out a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge for a two count.  Fox went for a ax kick, but Mickie avoided it and hit a nasty looking tornado DDT (nasty, as in Fox took it right on the top of her head) for the pin at the six minute mark.  They replayed the DDT a few times, and Fox left the ring on her own, so I guess she is okay.

Winner: Mickie James.

Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio.

Rey and Jericho started off, with Jericho punching Rey to the mat and headbutting him.  Jericho kicked Rey on the mat and punched him again, but missed a clothesline and Rey delivered a bodyscissors into an armdrag, then gave Jericho a headscissors.  Rey went for a 619, Jericho moved, and Rey hit him with a quebrada for a two count.  Batista tagged in and hit a shoulderblock for a two count.  Batista clotheslined Jericho in a corner and choked him with his boot. Batista hit some shoulderblocks in the corner, then Rey tagged in and Batista whipped Rey into a dropkick on the downed Jericho.

Rey hit a kick to the head of Jericho for a two count, then tagged in Batista, who hit Jericho's outstretched arm.  Jericho kicked away a backdrop attempt, but Batista hit a back elbow and a vertical suplex for a two count.  Rey tagged in and jumped off Batista's shoulders into a splash for a two count.  Jericho crawled to his corner and tagged in Big Show.  Mysterio opted not to make the tag.  Big Show laughed.  Mysterio hit some kicks to Show's leg, but Show picked up Rey by the head and headbutted him to the mat.  Show stood on Rey's stomach, then hit a punch to the gut.

Show put Rey on the top rope and chopped him, sending Rey to the floor. Big Show pulled Rey back in by the mask, and Mysterio threw some shots, but Show kicked him right down.  Jericho tagged in and walked around with his arm raised.  Jericho went for Walls Of Jericho, but Mysterio grabbed the ropes, so Jericho catapulted him into the ropes instead and got a two count.  Jericho applied a full nelson.  Mysterio fought out and hit Jericho with an enzugiri.  Jericho fell into 619 position.  Rey went for it, but Jericho was playing possum and nailed Rey with a clothesline for two.

Jericho put Rey on the top rope for a back superplex, but then went for the mask instead.  Mysterio elbowed Jericho to the mat, then hit a senton off the top onto the standing Jericho.  Batista tagged in, knocked down Jericho, knocked Big Show off the apron, then hit Jericho with a sidewalk slam for a two count.  Jericho went for a bodypress after Batista whipped him in the ropes, but Batista caught him and went for a slam.  Jericho floated out of the slam, but Batista speared him.  Batista threw Jericho into Big Show, who was coming in the ring, and Big Show fell back to the floor.  Batista gave Jericho a spinebuster for two.  Big Show grabbed Batista's leg from the floor.  Batista broke free, and Jericho hit Batista with the Codebreaker for a two count.

Jericho tagged in Big Show, who stomped Batista and choked him with his boot.  Big Show missed a legdrop, and Batista threw some punches.  Big Show grabbed Batista by the throat and hit a chokeslam.  Rey hit a springboard axhandle on Big Show's back to break up the cover.  Jericho tagged in and pounded Batista on the mat.  Jericho went for a Lionsault, but Batista moved out of the way.  Big Show and Mysterio both tagged in.  Mysterio savoided Big Show, going over, under and around him.  Mysterio kicked a charging Batista in the face, then hit a springboard DDT for a two count.  Big Show charged Mysterio, who ducked, and Big Show fell to the floor.  Jericho went after Mysterio in the ring, and Rey tripped Jericho into the ropes.  Mysterio went for a 619, and Jericho moved, but Rey hit Show, who was standing on the floor.  Rey backdropped Jericho to the floor, but Show caught him.  Batista, on the floor, speared Show and Jericho, taking them down.

Big Show crawled back into the ring, and Rey hit him with a springboard dropkick to the back.  Rey gave Big Show the 619, but as he went to followup with a springboard, Big Show nailed him with a right hand to the head for the pin at the 14 minute mark.

Winners: Chris Jericho & Big Show.

The Hell In A Cell cage was lowered again.

The events leading to John Cena vs. Randy Orton were shown.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a Hell In A Cell match.

Cena hit two punches, and Randy Orton bailed to the floor and looked to be trying to find a way out.  Cena chased after him, and as they got in the ring, Orton nailed him.  Orton stomped him, but Cena got to his feet and teased an Attitude Adjustment, but Orton slipped out.  Cena hit some shots, but Orton came back with a powerslam as Cena charged him.  They traded punches, and both men got chants from the crowd.  Cena hit a shoulderblock, but missed a second and crashed to the mat.  Orton shoved Cena off the ring apron, and he crashed into the cage.

Orton went to the floor and stomped Cena, using the cage to elevate himself for each stomp.  Orton then drove his knee into Cena's head, driving him face first into the cage.  Orton went to ram Cena into the steal, but Cena blocked it and hit some punches.  Cena picked up Orton and rammed him back first into the cage wall, then went to do it head first, but Orton floated over and rammed Cena into the cage.  Orton rammed Cena into the ring steps, then stomped Cena's hand on the steps.  With the steps in two pieces, Orton put Cena's head on the bottom half and stomped it.

Orton picked up the top half of the ring steps, acted like it was really heavy, and flung it into the ring. It bounced off the ropes and back out, and Orton caught it with no problem and shoved it back in.  That was unintentionally funny.  Orton set up the section in the ring, as Cena climbed on the apron.  Orton went for the hanging DDT onto the steps, but Cena put his hands down on the steps to block it.  Cena got his feet under him and backdropped Orton to the floor. Cena picked up the steps and threw it at Orton on the floor, but Orton ducked.

Back in the ring, Cena went for a whip, but Orton blocked it and hit the side backbreaker for a two count.  Orton hit a kneedrop, then waited for Cena to stand up.  Orton charged and Cena hit a boot to the face.  Cena hit two shoulderblocks and a back suplex into a powerbomb.  You know what's next.  Cena did the "You Can't See Me" and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle fistdrop.  Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment, but Orton grabbed the top rope, pulled himself onto the apron and then yanked Cena throat first across the top rope.  Cena rolled to the apron, and Orton got back in the ring and grabbed Cena.  Orton hit the hanging DDT for a two count.

Orton measured Cena for the RKO, but Cena shoved it off and hit an Attitude Adjustment for a two count.  Cena sat Orton on the top rope and set up for a second rope Attitude Adjustment, but Orton elbowed out of it, slid to the mat and gave Cena an Electric Chair for a two count.  Cena rolled to the apron and Orton battered him with punches.  Orton got on the middle rope and pulled Cena up, setting up for a superplex.  Cena fought it off, knocking Orton to the mat.  Cena went for a top rope Rocker Dropper, but Orton rolled out of the way and Cena crashed to the mat.

Orton went under the ring and pulled out a chair.  Orton drove the chair into the back of Cena's neck.  Orton turned Cena over and drove the chair into Cena's stomach.  Cena kicked out at two.  Orton put Cena's head on the folded chair and stomped it.  Orton took forever to go for a kneedrop, and Cena moved out of the way, so Orton kneedropped the chair.  Cena tripped Orton and applied the STF.  Orton crawled to the ropes, but there are no breaks in a Cell match.  Orton grabbed the apron and pulled himself out of the ring, breaking the hold.  Cena grabbed Orton's leg and pulled him back in, but Orton turned and kicked Cena away.  Cena fell into the referee, knocking him out of the ring.  Cena grabbed Orton in the STF again, and Orton tapped, but the referee was on the floor.

Cena released the hold, went to the floor, and rolled the referee back into the ring.   Cena revived the referee, then turned around and Orton hit Cena with an RKO for a two count.  Orton got on the apron and tied Cena in the top and middle ropes.  Orton pulled back Cena's head and applied a chinlock.  The announcers said he was choking Cena out, but it as pretty obvious Orton's arm was on Cena's chin, not his throat.  Orton released his hold, and the referee pulled the ropes, freeing Cena, who fell to the mat.  Orton took a long time to decide what to do next, then set up for a punt.  He went for the kick and missed it... er, hit it.  Orton got the pin at the twenty-two minute mark. WWE had a tight angle on the kick, and the kick appeared to mis (which was obviously not the plan), but it was sold anyway.  They actually replayed it from that angle, then showed it from another angle (which made the kick look better).

Winner and new WWE Champion: Randy Orton.

Orton walked off with the belt, and a woozy John Cena sat up in the ring, and then stared at Orton.  Michael Cole claimed that Orton had a "weakened leg" so the punt didn't have the usual stretcher-ride results.  Cena stood up in the ring, looking disappointed, while Orton stared at him from the aisle.

Josh Mathews interviewed R-Truth, and they showed clips of the brawls between the two.  Yes, they announced the match on Saturday, but they did put together a video package for them.  Truth said it was time for "the moment of truth" and that he had been disrespected by Drew McIntyre once too often.  Some in the crowd were giving his promo the "What?" treatment.

R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre.

R-Truth did his full entrance, then McIntyre came out.  Drew grabbed a headlock at the bell, and took Truth to the mat.  Truth broke out and hit a dropkick, then split under a McIntyre shot and hit a sidekick.  Truth worked over McIntyre in the corner, but Drew fought back.  The referee separated them, and McIntyre hit a kick and then pounded Truth with fists.  Drew hit a clothesline for a two count, then applied a half-nelson with a chinlock.  Some fans chanted "boring" at the action.  Truth fought up and they collided on simultaneous bodypress attempts.  They got to their feet and Truth hit an ax kick for a two count.  Truth missed another kick attempt and McIntyre went for the double underhook DDT, but Truth pulled his legs out and rolled him up for a two count.  Truth went to stand on the middle rope and punch McIntyre, but Drew got under him and slammed Truth to the mat.  McIntyre hit Truth with a double underhook DDT for the pin at the five minute mark.

Winner: Drew McIntyre.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes went up to Randy Orton and said they would celebrate tonight after their wins.  Orton tried to put over the danger of Hell In A Cell.  Rhodes & DiBiase said they were prepared for the Cell, knew they could beat DX, and Rhodes accused Orton of "sounding like his old man".  Orton said Legacy should listen to him.  DiBiase said Orton shouldn't underestimate them.  Legacy walked off, and Orton stared at them.

United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger.

The Miz came out first, with a mic, and talked about how he was going to win the U.S. Title, but unfortunately he had to do it in New Jersey.  Jack Swagger came out second, then the champion.  Kofi fought off both challengers at the bell.  Kofi jumped on Swagger in a corner and then went back to Miz.  Swagger nailed Kofi with a clothesline to the back of the head.  Miz and Swagger stomped Kofi, and they hit him with a double back elbow.  They pounded down Kofi, then hit a double suplex.  Miz went for the cover, but Swagger pulled him off.

Miz and Swagger went back to work on Kofi, who kicked away a double backdrop attempt and tried to roll up Miz, but got beat down by Miz and Swagger again.  Miz and Swagger whipped Kofi hard into the corner, and Miz told Swagger to whip him into Kofi for a clothesline.  Instead, Miz kicked Swagger in the gut, whipped him into the ropes and hit a clothesline.  Miz then clotheslined Kofi, hit hit Swagger with a top rope axhandle.  Miz gave Kofi a neckbreaker for a two count.  Miz went back and forth, kicking Swagger and Kofi.  Kofi reversed a whip, but Miz backdropped Kofi to the apron.  Kofi hit a shot, then went to the top rope.  Miz met him there and they battled.  Swagger got behind Miz for an Electric Chair, and Kofi dove off with a bodypress on Miz.  They all went to the mat, and Kofi got two counts on both men.

Kofi and Swagger fought in a corner, then Swagger threw Kofi into Miz and followed with a belly to belly suplex.  Miz broke up the cover.  Swagger hit Miz with a shoulderblock and tied him to the Tree Of Woe.  Swagger did some pushups and trash talked Miz.  Swagger went to throw Kofi into Miz, but Kofi reversed it and Miz sat up, avoiding Swagger as he went into the corner.  Kofi gave Miz a back superplex.  Swagger went to break up the cover, with a reverse splash off the ropes, but Kofi moved and Swagger hit Miz.  Kofi rolled up Swagger for two, then went for his legdrop, but Miz broke it up.  Swagger got up and went to German suplex Miz, but Miz held the ropes to block it and Kofi hit Swagger with the Trouble In Paradise kick.  Miz hit Kofi with the Skull Crushing Finale, but Kofi kicked up at two.  Miz and Kofi went into a small package with Kofi on top, then Swagger went to break it up and rolled Miz on top by accident, but Kofi kicked out.  Swagger gave Miz the gutwrench powerbomb, and Kofi hit Swagger with the Trouble In Paradise kick and got the pin at the seven minute mark.

Winner: Kofi Kingston.

A video package on the main event was shown.  The Hell In A Cell was lowered again.

DX vs. Legacy in a Hell In A Cell match.

Legacy attacked DX in the aisle as they were making their entrance. They battled all around ringside, outside the Cell.  Triple H threw DiBiase behind one of the announce tables, and DX double teamed Cody.  Triple H hit Cody with a video monitor.  Shawn Michaels cleared off the Smackdown table.  DX suplexed Cody onto the Smackdown table.  DiBiase got on the Raw table and jumped onto Triple H, then knocked down Michaels as well.  DiBiase threw HHH into the crowd, then suplexed him back over the barricade and onto the floor.  Michaels and Rhodes battled on the other side of the Cell, whipping Rhodes into the security wall.

Triple H and DiBiase ended up deep in the crowd fighting.  Michaels and Rhodes fought in the crowd on the other side of the building.  Michaels backdropped Cody back to ringside.  Cody grabbed the chain used to lock the Cell shut and hit Michaels in the knee with it.  DiBiase and HHH were fighting on the stage now, and Rhodes ran up the aisle and nailed HHH with the chain.  Legacy gave Triple H a double DDT on the stage.  Rhodes and DiBiase picked HHH up and Rhodes gave him Crossroads on the stage.

DiBiase and Rhodes went to ringside and attacked Michaels.  They stretched Michaels' leg across the doorway and slammed the Cell door on it twice.  Rhodes and DiBiase locked the Cell door shut, with them and Michaels inside.  Triple H was still down on the stage.  Michaels was thrown into the ring, and the bell rang after seven minutes of action.

Rhodes and DiBiase stomped Michaels and then let him get up.  Michaels realized where Triple H was, and the fans chanted for HBK.  Legacy mauled Michaels, with DiBiase laying him out with a kick to the head.  Legacy went to work on Michaels' knee, slamming it into the mat and giving it shinbusters.  Michaels hit an enzugiri on Rhodes, and avoided a DiBiase elbow, but Legacy went right back on the attack.  Rhodes slammed Michaels leg into the ringpost, and gave him a catapult into the Cell wall.  Triple H got to ringside, but couldn't get into the Cell.  Michaels mounted a comeback by himself, hitting DiBiase with a superkick, but Rhodes took him back down.  Rhodes hit Michaels with a chairshot to the back.  Triple H tried to use a chair to break the lock on the chain, while DiBiase mocked him.  Rhodes and DiBiase took turns powerbombing Michaels into the cage.  Michaels crumbled to the floor, and Legacy yelled at Triple H "What are you going to do?"  Triple H walked up the aisle and left.

Legacy pounded Michaels saying "Your partner has left you" and ramming him into the steel repeatedly.  At one point, DiBiase picked up Michaels and went back and forth between the ringpost and the corner of the cage, ramming Michaels' back into it.  They put Michaels back in the ring and continued to trash talk him.  Michaels mounted another comeback with two punches, but DiBiase laid him out with a clothesline.  DiBiase said "Let's finish this now" and Rhodes held up Michaels and put a chair in front of his face.  DiBiase dropkicked the chair into Michaels.  Legacy mocked the DX pose.

Legacy pulled Shawn Michaels in a corner and Rhodes applied the ringpost figure four leglock and DiBiase put on the Million Dollar Dream, the same moves they used to win last month.  Triple H ran out with a bolt cutter.  Back in the ring, DiBiase gave Michaels Dreamstreet into a chair.  Not sure why they released the submission holds.  Triple H got into the ring and cleaned house on both members of Legacy, including a spinebuster on a chair on Cody.  Triple H went for a Pedigree on Rhodes, but DiBiase broke it up.  Michaels backdropped DiBiase from the ring.  A referee came out with a new chain to lock the door, but Triple H grabbed it and hit DiBiase with it.

Triple H gave DiBiase a Pedigree on the floor. DX threw DiBiase out of the Cell, then locked the door shut.  The bolt cutters Triple H brought out were in the Cell with them.  In the ring, Triple H gave Cody a spinebuster, then they put a chair around Cody's neck.  Shawn Michaels gave Cody a top rope elbowdrop, closing the chair on his throat.  Triple H pulled out a sledgehammer.  DiBiase was up, but couldn't get in.  Triple H hit Rhodes with the sledgehammer at the same time Michaels superkicked him.  Michaels pinned Rhodes at the 26 minute mark (including the pre-match brawl).

Winners: DX

DiBiase rushed in as the cage was raised, and Michaels hit him with a superkick as well. DX posed to end the show.

2010 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We are live from Wichita, Kansas and your announcers are Michael ‘Nerd Herd Reject’ Cole and Jerry ‘Happy 20th Anniversary Beverly Hills 90210’ Lawler.

We start off with Nexus walking to the ring and they appear to be missing someone. Wade takes the mic and he says that since they are in the ring, it means he beat John Cena last night. Before they bring out the newest member of the Nexus, there are a few issues he would like to address. First, he has identified the mystery assailants from last night. We go to the TitanTron and we find out that it was Michael McGillicutty and Husky Harris. Wade says that he did not ask either man to help him and they are not part of the Nexus. Wade says that his second issue is that since he needed no help to beat John Cena, why did the rest of the men in black shirts with yellow backgrounds come to the ring to almost cost him his match. He blames Otunga for that but it is about celebrating and inducting the newest member of the Nexus. Wade introduces the newest person to put on the Black and Gold as John Cena makes his way to the ring.

John forgot the meeting in orientation about the proper Nexus dress code.

Wade tells John that he knows it is tearing him apart inside, but he knows that John is a man of his word. John said that if he lost, he would become a full fledged member of Nexus. Wade tells John that he will find out that this is the best thing to happen to him.

Michael Tarver tells Cena that he put his hands on him and made jokes about him. He also threatened his livelihood. Tarver says that the joke is on him now. Tarver says that Cena failed. Tarver apologizes to Wade. Tarver says that they have a gift for him. He gives Cena the N arm band. Cena removes one of his CeNation arm bands and replaces it with the N Band.

Heath tells John that they know the transition will be difficult but they are here for them. Heath says that everyone wants to know his thoughts about all of this, instead of making him feel uncomfortable, they have written a few things for Cena to say.

Wade tells Cena that this is non-negotiable and that he will read it and he will read it now.

John says that I John Cena officially acknowledge that I am officially a member of the Nexus. Any enemy of the Nexus is now an enemy of mine. As for my fans, I hope you stand by me because the fact of the matter is that you are Nexus or Against Us.

Wade says that things will get easier. He tells Cena that he will have his first match as part of Nexus and it will be a tag match against Evan Bourne and Mark Henry. Wade says that he will let Cena choose his tag partner.

Cena walks to Tarver and he smiles in his face and points at Tarver. Wade says that it is official. Wade tells them to come out right now to receive the beating of their lives.

We see footage from last week when Bourne and Henry lost to Nexus in a tag match.

After the match, Cena takes the mic and he says that he appreciates Nexus writing a note on his behalf, but he would like to make a statement of his own. He says that as the newest member of Nexus, he plans on doing one thing as a member of the group. Destroying it from within. Cena says that he proves that you can be Nexus and Against Us. Cena hits Tarver in the head with the mic and then he waits for Tarver to get up and Cena with a running clothesline. Cena rearranges the ring steps and then he looks at his Nexus arm band. Cena picks up Tarver and he slams Tarver on the ring steps. Cena picks up Tarver because the fans ask for it and he slams Tarver on the steps one more time. Cena sends Tarver back into the ring. Cena dives for the knee and he puts Tarver in the STF. Tarver miraculously does not tap because there is no match . . . until the General Messenger makes his presence known.

And Michael Cole quotes: The terms of the stipulation for his match with Wade Barrett that if he lost, he must join the Nexus. Nexus is clearly a group that takes direction from its leader Wade Barrett. As a member of the group, he must take direction from Wade Barrett. If he does not, as much as I would hate to do it. As much as it is bad for business. As much as the WWE Universe would despise it, I would have no alternative . . . but to terminate your WWE Contract. No one man, despite his popularity is bigger than the WWE. In other words, I will fire you.

Cena thinks about it in the ring for a little while before he exits the ring.

He will communicate via e-mail through the voice of the WWE, Michael Cole. Before we go further, let’s see what happened last week between Edge and the General Messenger.

Cole says that on behalf of the General Manager that act of defiance is unacceptable. Two things will happen. First, Edge will come out and apologize. Then he will make a huge announcement about the WWE Title. Cole tells Edge that the General Manager is waiting.

Edge says that he is not going to apologize for anything. In case you missed Smackdown or Hell in a Cell, Edge reminds us that he is on a personal campaign against stupid. A GM who communicates by e-mails is stupid. Edge says that Cole has been the epitome of stupid since 1997. He says that he would rather listen to a recording of Jim Ross. Edge says that when he becomes the WWE Champion, you will see some attitude.

And Cole quotes. Tonight we are going to determine the number one contender for the WWE Title. It will be in a 20 man battle royal. The winner gets to face Randy Orton at Bragging Rights. The General Messenger tells Edge that he has disrespected him one too many times so he won’t be in the battle royal, because Edge has been traded to Smackdown.

The fans want Edge to spear the GM. Edge says this is one of the greatest nights of his life. Now he doesn’t have to deal with the general manager and the worst catchphrase . . . ‘And I Quote’.

Cole says that since he is the official voice of the WWE, he wants Edge to show him some respect.

Edge asks if it is respectful if he went off Raw on a high note by spearing him off his perch.

Before Edge can do anything, Michael Cole’s mancrush and manservant come out and Miz says that Edge will do no such thing. He calls Cole a visionary because he saw Miz’s awesomeness before anyone else. Miz tells Cole to go to his announce desk. Edge tells the Edge wannabe to do it.

One word name . . . check. Coming to the ring in a trenchcoat . . . check. Winning Money in the Bank . . . check. Edge says that he used Awesome while Miz was popping zits in high school.

Miz says that they are nothing alike. Edge says that he has been WWE Champion. Edge says that he has been married, divorced, and had a live celebration. Edge tells Miz that he hasn’t seen Miz successful with a woman.

Riley says that Miz is the future of the WWE. He says that the Miz is awesome.

Edge says that Miz is awesome at tapping out to Daniel Bryan.

Miz says that either he will be winning the WWE Title at Bragging Rights or he will be leading Team Raw against Team Smackdown.

Edge wants to clarify something and he calls Miz the WWE’s biggest jackass. Edge punches Riley and then he sends Miz into the general manager. Edge waits for Riley to get up and he spears Riley. Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale to Edge.

Miz pulls Riley out of the ring and helps him to the back.

Cena is in the dressing room and he says that what Cena did to Tarver might have been clever, but he has been looking to get rid of Tarver for a while. Wade tells Cena that he needs to help him win the battle royal tonight. Cena wants to know what will happen if Cena wins. Otunga tells Cena that if Barrett doesn’t win, then he will help one of them win the battle royal. Barrett wants to make sure he heard Otunga clearly and Otunga stammers.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the WWE Rewind: R Truth and Eve wrestling Maryse and Ted DiBiase.

Cole and Lawler talk about Jackass 3D and we see a clip.

Johnny Knoxville comes to the ring and he says hello to the fans he is glad to be back on Raw. He talks about his new movie. Johnny tries to leave the ring before the Auto Tune Million Dollar Son to come to the ring and he is accompanied by Maryse.

Johnny apologizes to Ted. Ted asks Johnny if he knows who he is and what he can do. Johnny says that he tried to make Maryse laugh. Johnny asks Ted if he made her laugh the first time without his pants. Ted slaps Johnny and puts him in the Million Dollar Dream.

First, we see the Make a Wish video package.

Cole mentions the trade involving Edge and the Cenafication of Nexus. We have some footage from earlier tonight.

Cena is still looking at his Nexus arm band and David Otunga comes over. He says that he knows that John is upset, but Nexus isn’t all bad. He says that Barrett can be a bit demanding, but he knows that they can make this work. David says that this isn’t the end. David tells John that if he ever wants to talk, he is there for him.

Cole says that there is someone else who will not be in this battle royal in addition to Edge. We go back to what Randy Orton did to Chris Jericho.

Marty DeRose of $5 Wrestling was the host of the evening and spoke for several minutes, before bringing out Dumas. Dumas spoke to the crowd and brought out Compton, who cut a promo about Punk and then brought out Colt Cabana. Cabana then introduced Punk to a huge standing ovation.

Snow extends his hand to Joey and says he's sorry, but Joey tells Snow to get the hand away from him because he's pathetic. Ion ignores the fact that he just lost and getsa microphone to tell Hogan and Sting that he knows he'sat the top of their list to team with Sting at Bound For Glory, but he's not putting his good looks on the line to fight Aces & Eights. He's not just pretty, he's pretty f'n dangerous.

We go to a video package looking at King Mo, who will split his time between Bellator and TNA. He's backstage, and he's...SHADOWBOXING!

James Storm comes out to the ring to say that we're coming up on Bound For Glory, where it'll be one year since Bobby Roode turned on him, and he's not coming to prove he's a better wrestler, he's going to kick Roode's ass. He starts to bring up King Mo, but then Bobby Roode comes out to the top of the ramp to tell Storm not to worry about King Mo because Storm is getting in the ring with someone whose coattails he rode for four years, someone he's jealous of, and someone he's never beaten. This isn't going to be a match, it's going to be a fight and a bloodbath, and if King Mo thinks he can contain this, there's not a damn thing King Mo can do to stop him. He says that if King Mo was there right now, he'd tell him to his face. Sure enough, King Mo's music hits and out he comes in his gear with the robe, crown, and bling around his neck, and Roode mocks Mo and starts shoving him around until Mo shoves Roode on his ass. Roode slowly backs through the entryway and to the locker room while Mo comes down to the ring to and goes face to face with Storm, who shakes his hand and hands him a beer.

Hulk Hogan is backstage with Sting and he says he's finally picked his guy, but Sting says he saw something in Bully Ray and he wants to watch him tonight before he says for sure. Hogan asks Sting if he's sure, then says he'll watch the match with him. Speaking of which, that three way is up...NEXT!

After another video package looking at Aces & Eights, the Vice President says that everyone in the group is ready to die for the brotherhood, and asks if he can say that about his guys. One of the Aces & Eights guys pulls out a pair of live jumper cables as another guy pulls Joseph Park's shirt off, and the Vice President says they'll see Hogan in ten days as the video cuts out.

After running down the card for Bound For Glory, it's main event time!

Bully Ray vs Jeff Hardy vs That Other Guy

We go to commercial before the bell rings, and when we come back, Bubba is beating up Hardy until Aries comes in and takes Bubba out. Aries and Hardy go face to face, but Bubba comes back in and takes Hardy out so he and Aries can go at it. Aries comes off the second rope with a clothesline, but an attempt at the IED sees him run right into Bubba's boot. Aries goes down, and Hardy springboards off his back to hit Poetry In Motion. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Bubba and then gets the Twist of Fate, but Aries pulls Hardy off of Bubba and dumps him out to the floor before putting Bubba in the Last Chancery. Hardy comes in and stomps Aries to break it up, then Hardy and Aries go face to face until Bubba takes them both out with a double clothesline. Bubba dumps Hardy out to the floor and then backdrops Aries on top of Hardy. Aries comes back in with a missile dropkick followed by the IED, but Bubba goes to the eyes to stop the brainbuster. Bubba goes looking for his chain but can't find it, so he calls So Cal Val a bitch and grabs the title belt. Hardy comes running in before Bubba could hit Aries with the belt, but Bubba hits the Bubba Bomb and covers Hardy for the win.

Winner: Bully Ray

Aries gets in Hardy's face and yells at him that he had Bubba again but Hardy blew it for him. The fans are solidly behind Hardy, so Aries tells the fans he doesn't need any of them and walks off while Hardy soaks up the cheers.

After the commercial, Sting and Hulk Hogan come out to the ring to announce who will team with Sting at Bound For Glory. Hogan says that he can't help but think about how personal this has become with Aces & Eights because of the way they've singled him out. Sting will do everything he can to keep Aces & Eights out of the company, but he needs a riding partner. He's seen a lot of guys tearing people up tonight, but the man who impressed him the most was the guy who hit a pair of Mic Checks earlier tonight, and that's Ken Anderson, and Hogan asks Anderson to come join them in the ring. Anderson's music hits, but he doesn't come out to the ring, but then the video screen lights up as we see Ken Anderson laid out and unconscious in the parking lot with Aces & Eights standing around them. Bully Ray comes running into the ring telling Hogan and Sting to look at what Aces & Eights did to Anderson, then says that he wants to get his hands on Aces & Eights because they cost him the World Title. Sting needs a warrior to fight by his side at Bound For Glory, and Bubba tells Sting to convince Hogan that he is the guy Sting needs by his side at Bound For Glory. Bubba tells Hogan that he might not like him, but he's got to respect him because he's extending his hand, and he tells Hogan to let him fight by his brother's side at Bound For Glory. Hogan thinks a good long time, but then shakes Bubba's hand and tells him that he's fighting for everyone in the Impact Zone, and Bubba says he's got it, BROTHER.
