*In a Pane of Glass Death Match, Zandig beat “Spyder" Nate Webb after powerbombing him through a pane of glass in the corner to advance to the semifinals. This was a sick opener, like you would expect anything different!

*Sick Nick Mondo beat JC bailey in a light tubes mach after a nasty Death Valley Driver through numerous light tubes to advance to the semifinals. There were lots of light tube shots.

*Necro Butcher beat Corporal Robinson in a 4 Corners of Pain Match to advance to the semifinals. These two put on a brutal match that was highlighted by Robinson stapling Necro's tongue to the turnbuckle! Lots of crazy, crazy bumps to say the least.

*In the final quarterfinal match, Ian Rotten beat Nick Gage in a Barbed Wire Board and Light Tube Table Match to advance to the semifinals. Nate Hatred ran out and helped Ian advance. There was a lot of brawling and the crowd was into this match. Not as crazy as the previous match but good none the less.

*In a Fans Bring the Weapon's Match, Ian Rotten beat Necro Butcher to advance to the finals of TOD II. There were several crazy bumps including an easily 52" wide screen TV being used as Ian splashed Necro, who had the TV on top of him.

*In a 2 out of 3 falls Log Cabin Death Match (whoever sent their opponent through the log cabins of light tubes two times would win) saw Nick Mondo beat Zandig 2 falls to one. In a bump that will be talked about for a long time, Zandig bodyslammed Mondo off the roof of a building through three tables that had a log cabin of tubes on top. Mondo actually got the win for putting Zandig through, though, since Zandig went through the glass before Mondo. Back in the ring, Mondo quickly broke the other log cabin of tubes over Zandig's back for the win.

*In the finals of Tournament of Death II, Sick Nick Mondo beat Ian Rotten in a 200 Light tubes match. This was filled with lots of light tube shots. Mondo pinned Ian after a double foot stomp to Ian's head that had light tubes on top. The finish was sort of anti-climatic but it was still a sick match. Afterwards, Wifebeater presented Mondo with the TOD trophy. Also, Ian and Zandig agreed to a cage match wrapped in barbed wire that will explode for the August 23rd return show.

NEWS & NOTES: The reason for the ant-climatic finish to the finals is that Nick Mondo suffered a puncture wound in his back from the big table bump. It was describe as a gunshot type wound and medics were encouraging him not to work the finals and to go to the emergency room instead. He'll most likely end up going to the emergency room but Mondo toughed it out and worked the main event....Attendance was about 550. It was a full house....If you are a fan of wrestling with crazy bumps and insane action I highly recommend this tape. This was just an insane show.

We found out last week that all of the gold in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling will be on the line one more time in the main event of a pay per view but this time it will only be TNA Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and TNA Tag Team and X Division Champion Samoa Joe involved in this match. It also appears that Kurt Angle's IWGP Title will be on the line as well. Last week we saw the former tag team champions Team 3D come out and demand an audience with the Steiners after what they did at Victory Road. Will the Steiners answer the challenge from Team 3D and will Scott Steiner address Brother Ray's claims that he was not really injured, forcing him to miss Slammiversary? Now that Triple X has reformed despite being forced to never team again after Turning Point in 2004, will any old teams return to the ring? What is next for Christian Cage and his minions as Robert Roode and A.J. Styles wrestle in no disqualification matches against Sting and Abyss?

We begin this week with Brother Ray's comments calling out the Steiners to appear this week on Impact. We also see highlights from Christian Cage and James Storm's match against Rhino and Chris Harris with Dustin Rhodes' interference and the toast over Rhino's body. We then see Abyss and Sting take care of Christian and Tomko. We see Kurt Angle go crazy as he looks for his clothes. We then see Samoa Joe make the challenge and Kurt Angle agree to meet for all of the titles at Hard Justice. We then see Samoa Joe respond with a head butt only to be sent through a table by Kurt Angle.

We go to footage from earlier tonight of Christian Cage entering the Impact Zone with A.J. Styles, Robert Roode, Tomko, and Traci Brooks. They are also accompanied by a number of men wearing "Cage Security" shirts. Leticia interviews Cage and wants to know if he has been in hiding. Christian says that he was at Impact last week to do his job and perform at the highest level as he denies that he has been in hiding. He says that he wants to earn an honest buck and asks everyone if that is okay. Christian tells Tomko to pay attention and "stop playing with his toy belt" because they have some real problems to deal with. Christian says that he walked into an unsafe work environment last week. That is why he got Cage Security.  He says that they need to protect the top stars. This is the result of two guys, Sting and Abyss. He tells Robert Roode and A.J. Styles that tonight they are going to step up and take the spotlight to become the superstars that they can be. He tells them that not only are they going to beat Sting and Abyss in their matches; they are going to take them out. If they don't he will hold them both responsible. Roode and A.J. say that everything will be alright as Christian leaves. Tomko leaves as well. Roode tells A.J. that Robert Roode is going to hold up his end of the bargain and he wonders if A.J. will.

We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Mike Tenay and Don West.

Match Number One: Robert Roode (with Traci Brooks) versus Sting in a No Disqualification Match
Roode attacks Sting before the bell and he kicks Sting in the ropes. Roode tries to slam Sting's head into the turnbuckles, but Sting blocks it and sting punches Roode and slams Roode's head into the turnbuckles and uses all of the buckles in one corner. Roode goes outside to regroup but Sting follows after Roode. Sting Irish whips Roode into the guardrails and then he sends Roode into the ring steps. Sting goes after Traci Brooks and that distraction allows Roode to connect with a knee to the midsection when Sting returns his attention to his opponent in this match. Roode tries for a piledriver on the ramp but Sting with a back body drop onto the ramp. Traci checks on Roode and then Roode uses Brooks as a human shield when Sting comes after him. Roode pushes Brooks at Sting and then he gets a chair. Sting thinks that Roode is going to hit Traci with the chair so he turns into the chair shot. Roode hits Sting one more time in the back. Roode rolls Sting back into the ring and then he comes off the top turnbuckle with a flying clothesline and gets a two count. Roode rakes Sting's eyes. Eric Young comes to ringside wearing Sting's face paint to give moral support for Sting and we go to commercial.

We are back and Roode runs Sting into the turnbuckles and chopping Sting. Sting feels none of the chops or punches and then Traci gets on the apron and she slaps Sting. Sting screams and scares Brooks off the apron to the floor. Sting with a big boot to Roode followed by a back body drop and reverse atomic drop. Sting with clotheslines and a Stinger Splash. Sting tries for another one but Roode moves out of the way but Sting is able to stop short of the turnbuckle. Sting tries for the Scorpion Death Lock but Roode pushes Sting out of the hold. Roode hits a spinebuster but he can only get a two count. Roode tells Brooks to get him a chair. Roode gets ready to use it but Eric Young takes the chair and Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop for the three count.
Winner: Sting

After the match, Eric Young celebrates in the ring with Sting while Robert Roode yells at Traci Brooks while they go to the back.

We go to an interview that Mike Tenay did with Dustin Rhodes. Dustin talks about Goldust and he says that nobody will forget that character and he says that he pulled it off. He was that character and that entertainer. He did what he did to Chris Harris for a reason. Chris Harris was running his mouth. He says that Chris Harris is not ready to be at the top. Rhodes says that Harris is trying to steal somebody's spot and it was his spot. Rhodes says that since he was four years old, there was a side of him that nobody has seen and nobody wants to see. That side wants to come out. He says that he has had his split personality and it is coming out. He says that it is time.

Mike says that he has never seen anyone have an emotional breakdown like he did with Dustin Rhodes.

We go to footage from Kurt Angle's visit to his psychiatrist. Angle says that it all started when he was growing up in Pittsburgh. He says that it was no secret that his mother loved him more than his other brothers and sisters. He says that when he was three years old, everyone knew that he was going to be special. He was beating up every six year old on the block. He says that he was not a bully. He was just better than everybody else. His siblings were jealous of him and then he calls them losers. He says that his sister got a job at an orphanage and calls her a big loser. He wonders how small her paycheck was. There comes a time in your life when you need to make a decision. Do you want to wear Armani suits or do you want to help orphans? Angle says that he chooses to wear Armani suits. He says let someone else watch those spoiled brats. We are told that it will be continued as we go to commercial.

We are back and Kurt is still with his psychiatrist. He says that it got worse in high school because he excelled at everything, including football, baseball, basketball, and especially wrestling. The girls wanted him, not the skanks like the ones who come to watch him wrestle in the Impact Zone. They all wanted to get in his pants. The girls. He says that he is an Olympic gold medalist and his wife knows that it is an honor and a privilege to be Mrs. Kurt Angle. He says that his kids know that too. If they don't live up to his standards, they're going right out the door. Maybe he will send them to the orphanage where his sister works.

Match Number Two: Motor City Machine Guns Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley versus Latin American Xchange Homicide and Hernandez
Before the bell rings, Sabin uses Shelley's back as a springboard to drop kick Hernandez over the top rope to the floor. Hernandez hits a slingshot shoulder tackle on Sabin and then he punches Shelley and Sabin. Hernandez chokes Shelley with his shirt and tosses him across the ring. Hernandez follows that with the cracker jack on Sabin. Hernandez gets Shelley up for the border toss but Sabin with a back kick to Hernandez and Shelley gets out of the hold. Shelley and Sabin with a double Irish whip but Sabin misses a running boot into the corner when Hernandez moves out of the way. Shelley with a roaring forearm to Hernandez followed by a jumping knee from Sabin. Shelley with a head and arm reverse DDT and Sabin. Homicide throws Sabin over the top rope to the floor. Shelley tries for a kick but Homicide grabs Shelley's leg. Shelley begs for mercy but he gives Shelley to Hernandez. Hernandez catapults Shelley into a clothesline from Homicide and Shelley rests on Hernandez' knee and Homicide hits a senton. Shelley is sent outside the ring but Sabin hits a springboard drop kick to Hernandez' back. Homicide with a kick and he sets for the Gringo Killer but Sabin gets out of the hold. Sabin with an Irish whip and running boot into the corner. Sabin puts Homicide on the top turnbuckle for a superplex but Homicide sends Sabin onto Hernandez' shoulder and Homicide hits the Ace Cutter for the three count.
Winners: Latin American Xchange Homicide and Hernandez

After the match, Team 3D come to the ring. Brother Ray wants LAX to get out of the ring. Devon has a mic and says that this has nothing to do with LAX because they already beat their a**es and made them a couple of has beens. He says that he knows that the Steiners are in the building and they are not going to leave until they come out. We go to commercial.

We are back and Brother Ray is now on the mic and he wants the Steiners to come out. The Steiners come to the ring. Scott tells Team 3D that they don't call them out, but they call Team 3D out. Scott tells Brother Ray that he did not like the way that he was talking to the Puerto Ricans earlier because the Puerto Rican people and the Puerto Rican nation are his favorite people. On June 3rd in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was in the hospital and they saved his life. Brother Ray interrupts and he tells Brother Devon that in the ring with him are Big Poppa Pump and his "half-retarded" brother Rick. Scott tells Brother Ray to shut up and let his thyroid to continue to spiral out of control and maybe he will gain a few more fat cells. He says that he never missed a match in his life and he would never miss a match against Team 3D. At Slammiversary, when they were supposed to be wrestling, he was fighting for something more important. That was his life. Two weeks before Slammiversary, he was wrestling in Puerto Rico and got kicked in the throat. That tore his trachea and he was taken to the hospital and he was told by the doctor that he had five hours to life. Scott says that being told that you are going to die is a humbling experience. He says that it scared the hell out of him. Scott wants to publicly thank the Puerto Rican doctors, nurses, and the people who showed their support.

Brother Ray says that the reason why Scott did not show up was because he knew that Team 3D was better than the Steiners were any day of the week. Brother Ray wonders if Scott is serious about the surgery and he looks for the scar on his throat. Brother Ray says that he thinks Scott is lying and that he is scared. Rick helps Scott take off his vest and shirt. Scott says that it is obvious to him that Brother Ray's thyroid has burst and cut off oxygen to his brain. Scott says that although he got kicked in the throat, they cut through his lat and through his rib. They deflated his lung and sewed up his trachea that way. He says that is why he missed Slammiversary. It took him another five days to get home because he could not fly.

Brother Ray wants to know if Scott couldn't fly and couldn't wrestle because of that scratch.  Back in ECW, that was nothing more than a paper cut and he calls Scott a "wussy" Scott says that the more he is talking to Brother Ray, the more he wants to knock his teeth down his throat. Scott says that Team 3D never beat the Steiners. He tells Brother Ray to name a time and a place. Scott says that Team 3D was nothing more than Bingo Hall Champions while they were World Tag Team Champions for a real company, WCW.

Scott is interrupted by the Voodoo Kin Mafia's music. BG says that he wonders if their invitation got lost in the mail. BG says that he came out for a history lesson because everyone else's history is bass ackwards. The best tag team in professional wrestling history just got in the ring. When they were on top, the wrestling business was on top of the world and that ain't no coincidence. Scott tells Kip and BG that they might have been on top in the WWF but what were they on top of? Scott says that it was a heap of crap. When they were tag team champions, the wrestling was at a high but that was because fans were watching WCW because they were kicking the WWF's ass for eighty-two weeks in a row. As far as Team 3D is concerned, Scott tells them that their fat a**es should not even be in the ring with them. Brother Ray throws down his shirt and tells Scott to stop calling him fat. Scott says that he does not have a doctor's permission to wrestle but he does not need an invitation to kick their ass.

The Steiners go after Kip and BG but Team 3D helps out the Voodoo Kin Mafia. Brother Ray punches Rick while Kip and BG work over Scott. Team 3D gives Rick a 3D. Devon gets the Puerto Rican flag that was left in the ring after the last match, and they choke Rick with it while Scott watches.

The Latin American Xchange come to the ring and they help the Steiners. We go to commercial.

We are back and we return to Kurt Angle in his psychiatrist's office. Kurt talks about his time in TNA. He wonders what he did to anyone here. All he did was beat some people up and give them more exposure than they ever had. He put them on the map. When you take the TNA out of Kurt Angle, he wonders what you have and he says you have a great Kurt Angle. When you take Kurt Angle out of TNA, you have an independent show that draws fifty people at most. He says that he is not trying to take all of the credit, but maybe he is. When you think of Kurt Angle, you think of Gandhi, George Washington, and Martin Luther King. Kurt says that he has a dream and that is that the whole world will come to respect, love, and honor Kurt Angle for the hero that he is.

The camera pans back and Kurt is sitting in his tanning bed wearing his suit and he has been talking to Kevin Nash, who wants to know if he can get fifteen minutes in the tanning bed. Angle tells Nash to clean up when he is done.

Match Number Three: A.J. Styles versus Abyss in a No Disqualification Match
Styles hits a springboard forearm over the referee before the bell rings and then he kicks and punches Abyss. A.J. punches Abyss in the head but Abyss with a back body drop. Abyss charges into a boot but Styles charges at Abyss and Abyss hits a boot of his own. Abyss with a charge into the corner and Styles falls into the corner. Abyss hits a running butt splash on Styles. Abyss presses Styles over his head but Abyss gets out of the hold before Abyss can send A.J. into the crowd. Abyss with a punch but when he charges at Abyss one more time, Abyss hip tosses A.J. to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back and A.J. punches Abyss in the head and there is a chair in the ring. A.J. kicks Abyss in the chest and hits an enzuigiri. We go to highlights from the commercial break of A.J. hitting Abyss with a chair while they fought in the bleachers and then we see Styles hit a cross body onto Abyss from the bleachers to the ringside area. Back to live on tape action and Styles has a chair wedged in the turnbuckles. Abyss gets Styles up for Shock Treatment but A.J. gets out of the hold. Abyss with a kick to Styles and then he sets for a power bomb but Styles with a sunset flip. Abyss catapults A.J. into the corner where the chair has been set up but A.J. lands on the ropes. Styles tries for a moonsault but Abyss moves out of the way and Abyss throws Styles into the chair in the corner and then Abyss hits Shock Treatment. Abyss can only get a two count. Abyss tries for the Black Hole Slam but Styles counters it and he sets for the Styles Clash. Abyss is able to block the Styles Clash. Styles hits the Pele kick. Abyss sends Styles to the apron and he tries for a springboard move but Abyss catches Styles by the throat and hits a choke slam but he can only get a two count. Tomko walks to the ring to watch. Styles punches Abyss low and then he charges at Abyss but Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam. Tomko breaks up the cover and he punches Abyss. Tomko stomps on Abyss and then the lights go out. Sting appears in the ring and he punches Tomko and Styles. Sting kicks Tomko and punches him. Sting tells Abyss to get the tacks. Abyss goes under the ring to get the back of thumbtacks. Abyss is pulled under the ring by someone or something. Robert Roode comes to the ring and he punches Sting. A.J. pushes Roode off Sting and he punches Sting. All three men continue to attack Sting while Abyss remains under the ring. Abyss emerges from under the ring and he is bleeding. We cut to the top of the Ramp of Heelish Impact and we see Christian Cage with his "Cage Security". Christian comes to the ring and we see Abyss bleeding all over the floor. Christian pulls the bag into the ring and it is the bag of glass. Tomko choke slams Sting onto the glass. Roode and Styles bring Abyss into the ring. Tomko gets ready to choke slam Abyss but Christian stops him. Christian has A.J. get another bag from under the ring and it is the bag of thumbtacks. The thumbtacks are spread over the glass and Tomko choke slams Abyss on the tacks and Styles covers Abyss for the three count.
Winner: A.J. Styles

After the match, we see the new Christian Coalition celebrate in the ring as we go to credits.

2009 - WWE held their Night Of Champions PPV.  Here is the original report:

In a dark match, Cryme Time defeated The Hart Dynasty.

The PPV opened with a great video package putting over the importance of a championship, followed by segments on the World and WWE Title matches.

Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & ??? vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler called this match.  DiBiase & Rhodes entered first, then Jericho.  The announcers noted that Jericho could select someone from any brand to defend the tag belts.  Jericho took the mic, and then said we would have a reminder of what happened to his former partner.  They showed a video package on Edge's injury and surgery, including his promo vowing to come back.  Back live, Jericho cut a promo on Edge, calling him injury prone and selfish.  Jericho said he now had a partner who is worthy to stand next to him.  Jericho then introduced his new partner, Big Show.  Big Show, wearing new ring gear, came out holding the tag belts.

Big Show shoved Cody in a corner at the bell, but Rhodes avoided a chop.  Show backed him into the opposite corner though, and landed the chop.  Show flung Cody across the ring with a Beel throw, and Cody rolled to the floor.  Cody got on the apron and yanked Show throat first across the top rope, then tagged DiBiase.  Show easily downed DiBiase with a shoulderblock, then chopped him and tagged in Jericho.  Show whipped Jericho into an avalanche on DiBiase.  Jericho hit a back elbow, rammed DiBiase into Show's boot, then tagged him back in.  Show and Jericho worked over DiBiase, including Show slamming Jericho onto a downed DiBiase, which looked awkward.  Cody tagged in, but was elbowed by Show from the apron, allowing Jericho to roll him up for a two count.  DiBiase pulled down the ropes as Jericho went to bounce off, and Jericho went over the top and to the floor.

Cody went out of the ring and rammed Jericho into the apron.  DiBiase and Rhodes hit Jericho with a legsweep/clothesline combo.  Rhodes worked over Jericho with a cravate, but Jericho came back with a sunset flip.  Cody looked like he wanted to tag before going over, but instead fell through the ropes in another awkward spot.  Jericho battled back, with some fans chanting for him, but DiBiase and Rhodes kept him in their corner and away from tagging Big Show.  Jericho and Rhodes exchanged forearms, and Rhodes hit a top rope moonsault on a standing Jericho for a two count.  Jericho came right back with an enzugiri, but Cody tagged DiBiase, who cut off Jericho from tagging Show.  Jericho rolled DiBiase into a small package for two, but DiBiase kicked out and hit a clothesline.  Jericho kicked away a backdrop, but DiBiase hit a powerslam.  DiBiase rolled Jericho with an armdrag and kicked Jericho in the face.  Jericho avoided a splash in the corner and went for the Walls Of Jericho, but DiBiase blocked it.  DiBiase went for Dream Street, but Jericho blocked it and applied the Walls.  Cody teased running in, getting Big Show to come into the ring and distract the referee.  This allowed Cody to break up the pin.  Jericho finally made a tag, and Big Show came in and teased chokeslamming both opponents, but Priceless pounded Big Show to break his grip. Jericho got Cody out of the ring and Show speared DiBiase, but Cody broke up the cover.  Cody dropkicked Show from behind, and DiBiase clipped his knee from the front.  However, Jericho ran in and gave DiBiase a Codebreaker, while Show swatted Cody from the ring.  Show put DiBiase in the Colossal Clutch for the submission at the ten minute mark.

Winners: Big Show and Chris Jericho.

CM Punk started to be interviewed backstage by Josh Mathews, but when he heard the crowd supporting Jeff Hardy, he took the mic and walked into the arena.  Punk stood in the crowd and said he didn't blame the fans for the way they support Jeff Hardy.  He blamed the single-parents, who give their kids whatever they want, because their marriages failed.  Punk said they weren't good parents, they were enablers.  Punk said parents letting their kids look up to Jeff Hardy shows they don't really care at all.  Punk said it "starts with a Jeff Hardy T-Shirt, then they're smoking cigarettes", drinking beer, using illicit street drugs, etc.  It was a great promo, but I wonder if a lot of it went over the heads of the fans.

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian.

Dreamer and Christian bumped knuckles at the start in a show of respect.   They locked up and went into a corner, then slapped each other on the break.  Dreamer hit a shoulderblock for a two count, then armdragged Christian.  Christian kipped up and flipped Dreamer to the mat.  Christian slid under Dreamer's legs, then hit a spin kick for a two count.  Dreamer reversed a whip into the corner and charged Christian, and when Christian went for the pendulum kick, Dreamer caught it and hit a neckbreaker off the ropes.  Christian came back with a forearm and a reverse elbow off the ropes.  Dreamer shoulderblocked Christian from the apron and teased suplexing him to the floor.  Christian slid to the outside and tripped Dreamer, sending him face first into the ring apron.  Christian hit a baseball slide kick, then went for a springboard bodypress, but Dreamer moved out of the way.  Dreamer hit a rolling senton off the ring apron, then rolled Christian into the ring for a two count.

Dreamer powerslammed Christian for a two count.  Dreamer got on the second rope, but Christian pulled Dreamer off, sending him crashing to the mat.  Christian snapmared Dreamer and kicked him in the neck.  Christian went for a Killswitch, but Dreamer blocked it and went for a back suplex.  Christian floated over that and applied a sleeper, but Dreamer fell backwards to the mat to break it.  Christian got back on Dreamer with the sleeper, but Dreamer threw them both over the top rope to break the hold.  They got back into the ring and Christian went to the top rope, but Dreamer hit him as he came off, then delivered a clothesline and a flapjack for a two count.  Dreamer put Christian in the Tree Of Woe, then hit a baseball slide kick.  Dreamer went for a DDT, but Christian blocked it, only to be caught with a spinebuster.  Dreamer went for a pumphandle slam, but Christian floated over it and hit a DDT for two.  Christian went to the middle rope and hit a dropkick.  Christian went to the top rope for another, but Dreamer caught it and applied the Texas Cloverleaf.  Christian rolled under it and traded punches with Dreamer.  Dreamer hit a catapult, but Christian came back with a sunset flip off the ropes.  They traded reversals for two counts.  Dreamer missed a charge in the corner and Christian hit the Pendulum kick, then a top rope dropkick.  Christian went for the Killswitch, but Dreamer reversed it for a DDT, but Christian reversed it again and hit the Killswitch for the win at the eight minute mark.

Winner and new ECW Champion: Christian.

Dreamer and Christian shook hands and embraced.  Dreamer then raised Christian's hand.

Backstage, Todd Grisham interviewed Big Show and Chris Jericho.  Show said they aren't friends, this is about business.  Jericho bragged about what a great choice he made, then proclaimed they would be better than the British Bulldogs, Road Warriors and all the other great teams.  Show said they have held 40 championships between the two of them.  They said they would be the most dominant team ever.  Jericho mockingly thanked Edge for making it possible.

2010 - Former ECW stars began using the group name EV2.0 for their TNA appearances.

2010 - WWE and Seven-Eleven announced they would once again partner to promote Summerslam.

2010 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV Report:

We start off with John Cena’s confrontation with Wade Barrett and Nexus last week. Then we see footage of the systematic destruction of the WWE Superstars. But then we saw the six men who would join John Cena at SummerSlam.

We are live from San Antonio, Texas and your announcers are Michael ‘Where is the basement in the Alamo’ Cole and Jerry ‘Did Tony Parker bring his wife tonight’ Lawler.

John Cena comes to the ring and he is going to talk to the WWE Universe. John says that they are right that everything is bigger in Texas. He says that seven weeks ago, a group called Nexus, without any warning at all came to Raw and destroyed everything in its past. Nobody was safe. If Nexus wanted you hurt, then they would hurt you. That was until last Monday. Finally, the Raw Superstars said that they have had enough. They stood side by side in the ring. It did not matter if they were friends or enemies because they had a common goal. They are going to beat Nexus at SummerSlam and they are going to end Nexus. Nexus is not invincible. He says that with more power, Nexus gets more influence. The more influence they get, they will take over this show. Cena says that if that is the case, it might be the end of Monday Night Raw. Cena says that his team is not the Superfriends. He is not Superman. He says that he is more like Aquaman. He says that Edge and Jericho are like Batman and Robin. He says that Khali is not going to put on Wonder Woman’s attire.

Chris Jericho interrupts and comes to the ring. Cena mentions that Chris Jericho is on the SummerSlam team. Jericho says that he was standing backstage biding his time until Cena would say what he knew Cena would say. John Cena talked about his team. Jericho says that people told him that they were glad to see that Jericho had changed his ways to join Cena’s team. Jericho tells Cena and the hypocrites. He did not get involved in this to be part of Cena’s team. He did not do this to bask in the glory of heroes. He did not do this to pander to parasites. He did this because of the issues he has with Nexus, especially Wade Barrett, who he groomed and his teachings helped Barrett to form Nexus. Jericho says that this is his team.

John Cena says that the team can be Jericho’s.

Jericho tells Cena never to patronize him. He wants to be honest with Cena. The team lives or dies on his whims. Cena slaps the mic from Jericho.

Cena tells Jericho it is not about Jericho. It is not about him. It is about this damn business. He says that Nexus has taken over this company. Cena tells Jericho if he doesn’t like him fine, the thing is that Jericho loves the business. He says that they have to co-exist. Jericho knows Wade Barrett better than anyone. He says that Jericho is essential to this team.

Jericho picks up his mic and he tells Cena never to knock the microphone out of his hands again. Jericho then tells Cena that he knows how essential he is to this team. The only chance to beat Nexus is to have the best in the world standing beside you. Jericho says that he knows more than that because he sees the big picture. Nexus isn’t the only threat to this company. The other threat is John Cena. Cena is like Nexus. He interrupts whoever he wants and does whatever he says. However, Cena does it with the support of the drones and people that he dances around for like a puppet on a string. At SummerSlam, as soon as the threat of Nexus is abolished, he is going to take the next logical threat and turn his sights on the next threat in the company. He is going to get rid of Cena. He will either do it with the help of his team, or he will do it by himself.

Cena tells Jericho to take his best shot.

It is time for an e-mail from the General Manager. Cole says that the match at SummerSlam will be an elimination match. As a preview, Nexus will face seven men in an elimination match. Additionally, Cena and Jericho will be in a tag team match. The General Manager says that if they aren’t down for that, he has two words for Cena and Jericho.

Michael Tarver says that SummerSlam will be no different. They will eliminate each member until they are down to one member. Tarver says that he hopes it will be Cena so they can treat him like a piece of meat and sink their teeth into Cena’s flesh.

Then Sheamus will be screaming and saying to make the pain stop because you can’t take it any more . . . fella. Then he cashes it in and hits the Skull Crushing Finale to become the WWE Champion.

2010 - Ring of Honor broadcast ROH on HDNet.  Stu Carapola posted the following TV report:

We open this week's episode with a video package recapping the Kings of Wrestling-Briscoes feud, as the Briscoes interrupted their match with the Motor City Machine Guns and laid out Sara Del Rey, then the KOW attacked the Briscoes' father, and then the Briscoes ran in during the KOW's match with the Dark City Fight Club and caused an all out brawl, and then finally the KOW declared ROH a hazardous work environment.

Speaking of the Kings Of Wrestling, they're opening up our festivities tonight. Shane Hagadorn takes the mic and says that they're about to give the Philly fans something unprecedented: Hagadorn has handpicked three of the greatest teams in the wrestling business for the KOW to showcase their skills against. These teams are powerful and excellent, but they have nothing on the KOW, and we're about to find out how dominant Hero and Castagnoli are.

ROH World Tag Team Champions Kings Of Wrestling vs Josh Emmanuel & Ice Jackson.

The first team is Josh Emmanuel and Ice Jackson. Uh oh, the Kings are screwed now. Claudio ties up with one of them and fires him across the ring, then gets a fireman's carry into a press slam. Hero tags in and Claudio whips him into a leaping forearm in the corner, then Hero whips his victim into a bicycle kick from Claudio, and follows that with a senton. Hero continues the assault on...let's just call him Jackson. Jackson tries firing back but Hero no-sells and gets a big boot to the face, then rams Jackson into Claudio's boot in the corner. Claudio tags in and Jackson gets a rollup for 2, but Claudio pops him up about 20 feet in the air and catches him coming down with a European Uppercut. Somehow Emmanuel gets a hot tag and tries a bodypress, but Claudio catches him in a bearhug and Hero comes off the ropes with a knockout forearm, then Claudio gets a Giant Swing on Emmanuel into a diving Yakuza Kick from Hero, and then finally Claudio catapults Emmanuel into a roaring elbow from Hero for the three count.

Winners: Kings Of Wrestling

Okay, one down and two to go. Our next challengers are Adam Cole & Nick Westgate.

ROH World Tag Team Champions Kings Of Wrestling vs Adam Cole & Nick Westgate

Cole tries a couple of shoulderblocks on Hero (unsuccessfully), but gets a pair of dropkicks before eating a Yakuza Kick from Hero. Claudio tags in, Hero snapmares Cole, and they hit a stereo roaring elbow/diving European Uppercut. Cole gets a jawbreaker on Claudio and tags Westgate in, but Westgate appears unable to Irish Whip Claudio, so Claudio knocks his teeth out with a European Uppercut, deadlifts Westgate into a vertical suplex position, walks over and tags Hero in while still holding Westgate in the suplex position, then drops him back to his feet right into position to eat a Deathblow from Hero. KRS-ONE finishes Westgate.

Winners: Kings Of Wrestling

Hagadorn grabs the mic again and gloats over the KOW's wins, and says he promised three teams, so let's introduce the third...

ROH World Tag Team Champions Kings Of Wrestling vs The Ninjas

Sure enough, the Ninjas come to the ring and remove their masks to reveal that...surprise, surprise...they're the Briscoes. They go after the Kings and hit a double backdrop, then hit stereo running clotheslines in the corner and Beel first Claudio across the ring, and then Hero on top of Claudio. Double clothesline sends Hero to the floor, and one Doomsday Device later, the Kings Of Wrestling have suffered their first defeat since reuniting in ROH.

Winners: Jay & Mark Ninja

We go to Mike and Dave, and Mike says that the Kings Of Wrestling got what they deserved, but Dave says it's a sham because the Briscoes weren't supposed to be in the match. But that's okay, because later tonight, the Dark City Fight Club takes on the American Wolves, and Roderick Strong faces Christopher Daniels!

Speaking of Daniels, let's go backstage to the Fallen Angel with Kyle Durden. Daniels says that he doesn't mind Roderick challenging him because the reason he returned to ROH was to be challenged. What confuses him is Roderick's motivation, because last time they were in the ring, Roderick acted like he did something wrong by losing to the American Wolves. He doesn't know if this is because of Truth Martini or because he's trying to right some imaginary wrong, but whatever the cause, the fact is that they're in the ring with each other tonight, and unlike last time, they're across the ring from each other and he just sees Roderick as an obstacle that he needs to go through, and that's not in the Book Of Truth, it's the gospel according to the Fallen Angel.

Back to the ring...

Dark City Fight Club vs American Wolves

Can I just mention that I think it's great that the Wolves are still together and a serious team even after dropping the tag title? I was really worried that they'd more or less completely split up after losing the title and that'd be that, but they didn't and I like the way they're pushed on the singles side while remaining a force in the tag division. In fact, it's too bad that Davey Richards dumped Hagadorn last week, because I think they could have been like a Four Horsemen type stable in ROH with Davey holding the World Title, Eddie with the TV Title, and the Kings Of Wrestling with the Tag Team Title, all managed by Shane Hagadorn. But, I guess that's not going to happen now, so screw it.

Anyway, Eddie and Chavis start and they exchange wristlocks until Davey tags in and tries a series of shoulderblocks on Chavis, but without any success. He tries one too many and runs into a big boot from Chavis, but when Chavis tries a side suplex, Davey rolls through into a Crippler Crossface. Chavis nails Davey which brings Eddie into the ring with a running boot to the face of Chavis. Davis tries to make a save, but the Wolves dump the two of them out to the floor and hit stereo dives. Davey and Chavis end up back in the ring and Davey goes for the running forearm in the corner, but Chavis gets an elbow up. Eddie grabs Chavis from the outside though, and hits a legwhip, followed by Davey dropkicking the knee. Davey puts Chavis in a Texas Cloverleaf, during which Eddie comes off the top rope with a double stomp. Davis makes the save and nails both Wolves, allowing Chavis to give Davey a big Blue Thunder Driver for 2. Tag out to Jon Davis, who runs Davey into the corner and rams shoulders into his back, then gets a back suplex for 2. Tag back out to Chavis, who comes in and goes to work on Davey's back. Chavis with a vertical suplex on Davey for 2, then tags out to Davis, but Davey hits the handspring enziguiri. Davis tags out to Chavis who comes in and knocks Eddie off the apron, then goes back to work on Davey. Another tag out to Davis and he goes for a German Suplex on Davey, but Davey rolls through and makes the hot tag to Eddie, who comes in and hits an enziguiri on Chavis and a back elbow and lungblower on Davis, then rolls him up for 2. Eddie goes for a suplex on Davis which is blocked, but Davey with an enziguiri from the outside and a missile dropkick on Davis, then a double team gourdbuster and stereo superkick to Davis for 2. Wolves with another series of kicks to Davis, but Davis runs over both of them with a double clothesline, then Chavis comes in and clotheslines Davey out to the floor. DCFC with a double team Ace Crusher on Eddie, but Davey breaks up the fall. Davis goes for the rack bomb, but Eddie escapes just as Necro Butcher and Erick Stevens run in to ruin a great match.

Winners: Dark City Fight Club by DQ

Rasche Brown runs in to make the save and he and Stevens brawl out to the floor as the DCFC beat Necro up 2-on-1. The brawl spills out to the floor and around ringside, as Rasche tosses Necro over the guardrail and into the crowd. Necro comes back over the guardrail right into a running boot from Davis, and Rasche and the DCFC roll back into the ring as security ejects the Embassy.

We go to a video package detailing the recent history of Roderick Strong and Christopher Daniels, culminating in Roderick turning to Truth Martini for guidance. And with that, it's main event time!

Pick Six Contender's Match: Roderick Strong vs Christopher Daniels

They have an exchange of words as the bell rings, and Roderick shoves Daniels off. Daniels keeps a cool heads and goes back to jawing with Roderick, but Roderick shoves him again. Daniels again keeps his cool, and they tie up. Daniels with a waistlock but Roderick reverses to a wristlock. Daniels escapes and goes to a side headlock, but Roderick reverses back to the wristlock and uses it to take Daniels down and change it up into a top wristlock. Daniels reverses into a side headlock, Roderick gets to his feet and fires Daniels off into the ropes and nobody moves off a shoulderblock. Daniels gets the side headlock again and Roderick takes him to the ropes and nails a shoulderblock to the gut and goes back to the wristlock. Daniels cartwheels out and goes back to the headlock, and they do a fast paced sequence that ends with Daniels again getting the headlock. Roderick escapes and gets a knee to the gut, but Daniels gets an inverted atomic drop and a swinging neckbreaker and follows that with a forearm in the corner and a back suplex for 2. Daniels with a side neckbreaker for 2 and then a snapmare and a neck vice. Roderick fights his way out again but gets bodyslammed and then Daniels hits the Arabian Press, but Roderick gets to the ropes to escape danger. Daniels takes Strong to the corner and puts him up top, but Strong fights his way off and gets an enziguiri and a backbreaker, then starts putting the boots to Daniels. Strong with a vertical suplex for 2 and then gets an inverted bearhug. Daniels gets to his feet and elbows his way out of the hold but Roderick picks him up and drives him into the corner and follows with a chop, then chokes Daniels on the ropes. Roderick takes Daniels to the corner and hits an unbelievablely stiff chop, but tries a charge and Daniels moves and gets a rollup for 2. Daniels goes for a slam but his back gives out, so Roderick gets another backbreaker and chokes Daniels on the ropes again. Roderick whips Daniels hard into the corner and Daniels collapses, so Roderick covers for 2. Daniels fires back on Roderick, and Roderick tries to get the Stronghold but Daniels reverses to a rollup for 2 and then gives Roderick a lungblower. Roderick misses a charge and now Daniels comes back with a series of forearms and a leg lariat. Daniels snapmares Roderick into the corner and gets an STO for 2. Daniels charges Roderick in the corner and gets backdropped to the apron, and Roderick follows him out and goes for a backbreaker on the apron, but Daniels gets a pendulum kick to send Strong to the floor and then hits an Arabian Press to the floor. Truth Martini tries to explain the Book Of Truth to Daniels, but distracts Daniels long enough for Strong to come from behind and give him a backbreaker on the ring apron, then roll him back in the ring and cover for 2. Strong whips Daniels to the corner and follows in with a forearm, a flying kneestrike, an enziguiri, and a backbreaker for 2. Daniels gets a Flatliner and locks Strong in the Koji Clutch, but Strong makes the ropes. They both get to their feet and start going toe to toe until Daniels ducks a shot and gets a DVD for 2. Daniels goes for a uranage but Strong elbows out and goes for the gutbuster, Daniels elbows out of that, and Strong rams Daniels into the ropes where Truth Martini nails Daniels with the Book Of Truth, and Strong hits a running boot for the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong

Truth Martini comes in the ring and celebrates with Strong as we close the show, and by the way, next week on HDNet, Jay Briscoe faces Claudio Castagnoli and Mark Briscoe faces Chris Hero! Sounds good to me!

This week was generally a very good episode with some great wrestling, but I think we got too many screwy finishes. Now, I'm not typically opposed to doing screwjob finishes, but doing three on one show is a bit much. Other than that, good episode this week.

2011 - TNA signed Zema Ion.

2011 - Dave Finlay made his first post-WWE appearance on the independents, appearing in a classic bout against Sami Callihan in NYC at EVOLVE 9.  Mike Johnson filed the following live report from the iPPV:

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of tonight's EVOLVE 9 event from BB Kings NYC.

Bobby Beverly vs. Eric Ryan

Beverly nailed a dropkick on Ryan, then several chops in the corner. Ryan came back with a leaping clothesline for a two count. Ryan caught him with a suplerkick, an inverted atomic drop and an over the knee backbreaker.

Beverly came back to nail a Van Terminator. Ryan rolled out of the ring. Beverly nailed a sick dive through the center and bottom ropes to the outside. He went for another but Ryan kicked him. They went back and forth with strikes.

Beverly nailed a German suplex. Ryan popped right up and nailed a clothesline. They struck each other as Kevin Steen came out. He clapped for them and clotheslined them both.

No contest.

Steen drilled them each with the package piledriver as the NYC crowd loved every *er second of it. Steen took the mic and asked if they “do this too” and shook their hands. He said he had an open mic and was going to watch himself when he goes home. He warned the announcers that if they speak while he is talking, he will rape their mouths. That’s tremendous.

Steen said he has an open mic. A fan said that no one cares. Steen said, “I think you are confusing my promo with your life.”

Steen said that he has a lot to say and is going to take a seat. He sat Indian style and said, “Has this been done before?” He introduced himself and said the last time he was in the ring in NYC, it was at “Ring of Horsesh**” and told them to “go F*** themselves.” He said he was happy to see he inspired another wrestler, CM Punk, to do the same the next night on TV.

Steen said that everyone knows who Jim Cornette is and said that he runs ROH and is also the guy who does everything he can to take the talent away from EVOLVE. He said that he wishes he could have taken Cornette’s tennis racquet and shoved it up his ass, but that wouldn’t be too hard given how deep Davey Richards is up Cornette’s ass.

Steen said that everyone remembers Richards, who dropped EVOLVE for ROH and for that fact, he’d think EVOLVE would be happy to have him here tonight. He said that while EVOLVE gave him an open mic, management then told him about all the roster members who were going to stand up to him so he respects the rules and regulations. He said he wanted to help EVOLVE but all the problems started way back in 2007 when he came to ROH and was forced to team with El Generico by the same motherf**er that runs EVOLVE. He said he was here to destroy EVOLVE and that might include raping Gabe Sapolsky. That was an image I didn’t need in my mind.

Steen said he was the anti-Christ and hated Cornette, EVOLVE and even pro wrestling.

Bobby Fish came to the ring. Steen asked if that one of the rules means that he has to hand Fish the mic. Fish said that Steen thinks that he’s here to cut Steen’s mic time short, but pointed out they are in his home State of New York where they have freedom of speech. Fish said that he was more than interested in hearing what Steen had to say/

Fish said he came out as an ambassador to explain that there is a locker room trying to make EVOLVE relevant. He said that they have created some regulations. What Steen did stepped outside of those lines, and if Steen is going to be here, he needs to stay within the lines. If that’s going to be a problem, he’s going to be the one to show Steen what happens. Fish left. Steen said he was going to leave too.

Fans were heckling the entire thing, but the guys played off it well.

2012 - TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Mike Johnson filed the following TV report:

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing TNA Impact Wrestling coverage.  Stu Carapola has a conflict, so I guess you are stuck with me!

After a recap of what happened in the last week, Sting made his way to the ring.  He said that thanks to Aces and Eights, Hulk Hogan had a shattered hip and was dealing with mesh and titanium plates in his back.  He said that he was their first target and Dixie Carter put him in charge while Hogan is away.  He said he was one man alone but he was calling them out.

Instead, out came TNA champion Austin Aries.  He said that they didn't just attack Sting and Hogan but also the champion and that means they were trying to make a statement.  He said he was making a statement right now, and that was the second one of them showed up tonight, he was attacking them.

Kurt Angle came out and said that they attacked him last week and tried to take everything away from him, so now he wants to kick their ass,

Bobby Roode came out.  He said that he wasn't there to fight nor was he there to back them up.  He was there to tell them who was behind all the attacks.  He said there was someone who has been in the TNA title scene for a year and is jealous of Roode as well as the others and that's James Storm and he is responsible.

Storm hit the scene and attacked Roode from behind.  They brawled into the ring as the other watched.  Angle grabbed Storm and held him as Roode escaped the ring.  Roode took the mic and said that the truth hurts because Storm is behind it.

They promoted the Bound for Glory on sale hard for tomorrow.

Backstage, Tara, Kurt Angle and Kid Kash were interviewed about the impending debut of Chavo Guerrero.

Bobby Roode was grabbed backstage. He asked why everyone was questioning him. He said that no one wants to believe him that it's James Storm, so he was leaving. He said that no one knows Storm better than him and he knows how Storm clicks. If people don't want to listen, he was leaving and headed out of the Impact Zone backstage area towards a parking lot.

This allowed Kim and Rayne to work over Kim in the corner.   James fired back.  Rayne missed a charge in the corner and Kim made the hot tag to Tara,  Tara nailed a pair of running clotheslines.  Tara drilled Rayne down with an inverted TKO for a two count before Kim made the save.

Rayne and Tara rolled through on Rayne, snapping her over.  They locked in a double crab.  Kim came off the top with a double missile dropkick.  They went back and forth until James used the Backlund Bridge to roll up Kim but the referee counted her shoulders down even though it was obviously not down for a three count.  James was shocked.

Your winner, Gail Kim and Madison Rayne!

Sting told Austin Aries that he needed someone to handle the X-Division and cut some of the talents.  He said Aries knew how to handle X-Division business better than anyone.  Cuts?  Half these guys just debuted!   And the WORLD CHAMPION has time to handle this when Sting, the GM doesn't?  Come on!  Aries finally agreed but told Sting that he would be back to handle the Aces and Eights.  He went into the X-Division locker room and told someone to get off his desk because they had business.

They played a video piece on Sam Shaw appearing in Gutcheck tonight.

Hernandez, Gunner and Bully Ray commented on Chavo Guerrero joining TNA.  They certainly are building Chavo up like a big acquisition.

Sam Shaw vs. Douglas Williams

The crowd was behind Shaw right away, chanting for him.  They had some nice exchanges early with Shaw showing some really good athletic moves.   Shaw used the Orton backbreaker into a neckbreaker for a two count.  He slammed Williams and went to the ropes.

Joey Ryan appeared in the crowd holding a 87% sign.  That distracted Shaw, allowing Williams to trip him.  Several officials came out and Ryan drilled Snow and ran out of the building with Snow and others in pursuit.

Williams worked over Shaw and drilled him with a number of shots.  Williams nailed a running lknee and slammed Shaw in the center of the ring.  He slapped Shaw and nailed the Rolling Chaos for the pin.

Your winner, Douglas Williams!

Backstage, Austin Aries said that he knows the X-Division wrestlers were waiting for Sting but instead it's him.  Kenny King, Rashad Cameron and Sonjay Dutt all gave their reasons as to why they should get the title shot.  Dutt said that he would have won the belt if he hadn't dislocated his shoulder.  Cameron said he's been around six years and never won the belt.  King said that Dakota's been getting his ass kicked for weeks and doesn't deserve a title shot.  Aries finally decided that Cameron was cut.

They aired a Chavo Guerrero teaser.

They showed several Bellator fighters in attendance.

Chavo Guerrero, wearing street clothes, came to the ring.  He celebrated with some fans around ringside.  There was a big "Chavo" chant.  Guerrero said that he wanted to say hello to the "Guerrero people.:  He got a big pop.  He said that he knows where he should have been the last few years.  Guerrero said he was very humbled to be allowed to be in their ring and thanked the fans.   He said that one thing the Guerrero family has always done and that's conquer and to be a champion.  He said that in every company, country and continent they have ever been in, they have done that, except TNA.  He said that when he walked in the locker room, he sees hunger with hungry wrestlers who want to steal the show every night.  He said that he sees the eyes of the best and that's why he's here.  He said that Chavo Guerrero is here to beat the best.  He said that timing is everything and that's something that Guerreros have always had.  He said that everyone needed to remember this date because it's Guerrero time and it's time for him to be a champion in TNA.  He tried to thank everyone.

Kid Kash and Gunner came out.  Kash questioned him being considered a wrestling legend.  He mocked all the family members for being wrestlers and asked what generation he was.  He questioned the Guerreros being wrestling royalty and asked him if he thought they had to bow down to him.  He asked Guerrero where his family was.  Guerrero said they were the fans.  Kash said he didn't care about the government-supported idiots in the crowd and asked where Chavo and Mando and the others were.  He asked if they were too old or too drunk.

Chavo nailed Kash but was double teamed by Gunner and Kash.  Hernandez hit the ring for the save.   He clotheslined Gunner out of the ring.  Guerrero dropkicked Kash out of the ring.  Hernandez and Guerrero embraced.

Pretty good debut for Chavo.  He looked better and cut a better promo here than he had in years for WWE.

Kurt Angle asked James Storm if there was anything to Bobby Roode's allegations.  Storm said that Angle should know firsthand that when Storm has an issue, he goes to the person firsthand and wasn't scared of an asswhipping.  Angle asked him if Storm had their backs if Aces and Eights attacked tonight.  Storm said that he does.  Angle walked off but the camera remained on Storm,. who looked serious as if he was teasing that he wasn't being honest.

The Gutcheck judges tried to talk about Sam Shaw.  Al Snow was mad that he didn't see any of the match because of Joey Ryan and screamed that Ryan had his attention now.  They commented that Ryan wanted his attention and he can't give him what he wanted.  Taz and Prichard said nice things about Shaw while Snow was upset.  They  said they needed to go out and make a decision.

The TNA Gutcheck judging segment began.  Sam Shaw came to the ring.  Shaw said that even though he came up a bit short, he has the drive and determination to be one of the best.  He asked them to say yes to him.

Al Snow said that unfortunately due to a jackass, he didn't get a chance to see his match.  He said that nothing would make him happier than to stick it up Joey Ryan's ass and say yes, but he has to say no.

Bruce Prichard said that he didn't think that thus far he and Snow haven't disagreed.  However, Prichard said that tonight he thought Shaw did a hell of a job, so it was a yes.

Shaw told Taz that he wanted to show the same determination that Taz had in 1999 when he was trying to break into the big leagues.  Yeah, because being ECW World champ on PPV wasn't the big leagues?  He said that he wanted the chance to learn and compete with the best.
