CM PUNK UPDATE

WWE has removed CM Punk from all of their event listings through Summerslam. As we've noted in the Elite section of PWInsider.com, creative sources indicated there was no clear plan as to when and how Punk would return to WWE storylines.

Punk is taking time off to let his knees rest and heal following the Wrestlemania bout against the Undertaker, although issues with WWE management and overall burnout from the grind of the road for so many years were factors as well.

Since taking time off, Punk has been spotted at UFC events, baseball games and visiting Los Angeles to attend the Iron Man 3 premiere.
