1962 - Ralph McClure ends Curly Gagnon's second Madison Wrestling Club Middleweight Title reign in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
1964 - Hard Boiled Haggerty defeats Neff Maivia to win the NWA Hawaii Heavyweight Title in Honolulu, Hawaii, ending Maivia's third reign.
1965 - The Sheik defeats Johnny Valentine for the Detroit NWA United States Heavyweight Title in Detroit, Michigan.
1966 - Alberto Muaoz defeats Huracan Ramirez to win the Mexican National Welterweight Title in Guadalajara, Mexico. Muaoz would vacated the title after winning the Mexican National Middleweight Title on October 20, 1968 from Humberto Garza.
1967 - Don Jardine and Dutch Savage win the Vancouver NWA World Tag Team Title for the second time, defeating Chris and John Tolos in Vancouver, British Columbia.
1967 - Professor Ito and Tojo Yamamoto defeat Jackie Fargo and Herb Welch for the Mid-America NWA World Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee, to begin their second reign.
1968 - Bobby Fields wins his seventh NWA Louisiana Heavyweight Title in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, defeating Frank Dalton.

1977 - Bobo Brazil defeats The Sheik in Toronto, Ontario for the Toronto NWA United States Heavyweight Title, ending Sheik's third reign.
1978 - Victoria Fujimi and Nancy Kumi defeat Mariko Akagi and Chino Sato for the vacant WWWA World Tag Team Title in Osaka, Japan. The title was vacated after Kumi, who then held the title with Jackie Sato, won the WWWA World Singles Title from Maki Ueda on November 1.
1982 - The WWF held an event at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. 15,386 fans attended the show. The results were:
- Rick McGraw and Steve Travis defeated Jose Estrada and Johnny Rodz.

1984 - Iceman King Parsons defeats The Super Destroyer (Scott Irwin) to win the World Class Television Title in Fort Worth, Texas. This began and ended each man's second reign.
1984 - Black Bart and Ron Bass defeat Mike Davis and Mike Rotundo for the Florida NWA United States Tag Team Title in West Palm Beach, Florida.
1984 - The Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin and Sweet Brown Sugar) defeat The Zambuie Express (Elijah Akeem and Kareem Muhammad) for the AWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee.
1984 - David Morgan defeats Ken Lucas to win the Southeast NWA United States Junior Heavyweight Title.
1986 - Shiro Koshinaka defeats The Cobra in a tournament final in Tokyo, Japan to become the first-ever IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
1988 - The WWF held a matinee event at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. 15,534 fans attended the show. The WWF also held an evening event with the same results at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before 13,112 fans. The results were:
- Lanny Poffo pinned Terry Gibbs.
- The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques and Raymond) defeated Steve Lombardi and Barry Horowitz, when Raymond pinned Horowitz.
- Sam Houston pinned Iron Mike Sharpe.
- WWF Women's Champion Sensational Sherri pinned Rockin' Robin.
- Bam Bam Bigelow (with Sir Oliver Humperdink) and Hulk Hogan defeated Andre the Giant and WWF Champion Ted DiBiase (with Virgil). DiBiase wore the belt to the ring and was introduced as the new WWF Champion as a result of the match on the previous night in Indianapolis, Indiana on The Main Event.
- Dino Bravo (with Frenchy Martin) vs. Ricky Steamboat ended in a double-countout.

1988 - Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) defeats Invader I for the WWC Television Title in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, ending Invader I's third reign. At the same event, Bobby Jaggers and Dan Kroffat (Phil LaFon) defeat Chris and Mark Youngblood to win the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Title.
1988 - Bob Brown and The Cuban Assassin defeat Rick Patterson and Stevie Ray in a tournament final to win the vacant NWA Central States Tag Team Title in St. Joseph, Missouri. The title was vacated by The Montana Cowboys (Mike Stone and Rick Patterson) in January, when Stone left the promotion.
1990 - WCW held Clash of the Champions X: Texas Shootout at the Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, Texas. The show aired live on TBS, earning a 4.5 rating. Clash of the Champions X set up the February 25 WrestleWar pay-per-view. The results were:
- Steve Williams pinned The Samoan Savage.
- Flyin' Brian and Z-Man defeated The MOD Squad (Basher and Spike), when Zenk pinned Basher.
- Mil Máscaras pinned Cactus Jack with a flying bodypress.
- Norman the Lunatic pinned Kevin Sullivan in a Falls Count Anywhere match, behind closed doors in the women's bathroom.
- The Skyscrapers (Mark Callous and Dan Spivey) defeated The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) by disqualification, when the Warriors brought a chair into the ring.
- NWA World Tag Team Champions The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) defeated Doom in a Title vs. Masks match to retain the titles. Doom was unmasked as Butch Reed and Ron Simmons.
- The Horsemen (Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson and Ric Flair) defeat Gary Hart International (The Dragonmaster, The Great Muta and Buzz Sawyer) (with Gary Hart)) in a Steel Cage match, when Arn Anderson pinned The Dragonmaster after a DDT. Sting was originally scheduled to be in the match but was kicked out of the Horsemen earlier in the night and replaced with Ole Anderson. During the match, Sting ran to the ring and tried to climb into the cage, but during the ensuing brawl, Sting blew out his knee.
1990 - Dave Finlay defeats Tony St. Clair for the British Heavyweight Title in Croydon, England, ending St. Clair's third reign.
1990 - Giant Haystacks defeats Pat Roach to win the European Heavyweight Title in Llamtrinsant, England.
1990 - Robert Fuller and Brian Lee win the USWA Tag Team Title for the second time, defeating The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll and Rex King) in Louisville, Kentucky.

1999 - The Tennessee Volunteerz (Steven Dunn and Reno Riggins) defeat The Australians (Bill Dundee and Ashley Hudson) to win the held-up NWA North American Tag Team Title in Nashville, Tennessee. The titles had been held up after their match the previous night in Nashville. This began the Volunteerz' second reign.
1999 - Kevin Knight defeats Ric Ratchett in a tournament final in Holmdel, New Jersey to become the first NWA New Jersey Junior Heavyweight Champion.
1999 - The Scufflin' Hillbillies (Maynard R. Neck and Big Chuck Wagon) defeat Bobo Brown and Pete Christie in Burton, Michigan to win the NWA Michigan Tag Team Title.
2001 - The WWF tapes the February 8 edition of SmackDown! and February 11 Sunday Night Heat at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. The results were:

- Haku (with Rikishi) pinned Scotty 2 Hotty (with Grandmaster Sexay) with the Tongan Death Grip.

- Hardcore Holly (with Molly Holly) pinned WWF Hardcore Champion Raven to win the title, after Molly prevented the masked ninja woman (Tori) from interfering, ending Raven's fourth reign and beginning Holly's fourth. Soon after, Raven pinned Holly to regain the title after the woman entered the ring and broke a 2x4 across Holly's back. This began Raven's fifth reign.
- The Right to Censor (Bull Buchanan, The Goodfather, WWF Women's Champion Ivory and Steven Richards) defeated The Acolytes (Bradshaw and Faarooq), Jacqueline and The Kat, when Ivory pinned The Kat with her feet on the ropes.
- Triple H (with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) pinned WWF Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho after the Pedigree.
- The Rock pinned Big Show after a Rock Bottom on a steel chair. With the win, Rock earned a WWF Title match at February 25's No Way Out.
2002 - Doug Basham and Damaja defeat The Lords of the Ring (Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore) for the OVW Southern Tag Team Title in Jeffersonville, Indiana, ending Conway and Dinsmore's eighth reign.
2002 - Super Uchuu Power defeats MIKAMI to win the Dramatic Dream Team KO-D Openweight Title in Tokyo, Japan.
2004 - Crazy J and Lotus defeat T.J. Dalton and J.T. Starr for the Heartland Wrestling Association Tag Team Title in Cincinnati, Ohio, ending Dalton and Starr's second reign.
2006 - WWE held a live RAW at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. RAW featured the first round of the Road to WrestleMania tournament decide who would receive a WWE Title match at WrestleMania 22. The results:
- In a dark match featuring talent from Deep South Wrestling, Tony Santarelli and Mike Taylor defeated Team Elite (Mike Knox and Derrick Neikirk).

2007 - WWE held a live edition of ECW and taped the February 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown! at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The results:

2008 - The Scarborough Evening News in Great Britain featured an article on a man accused of claiming to be Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in order to receive gifts from The Manchester Football club. Wayne Scott, 35, is charged with three counts of fraud, two counts of malicious communication and one count of failing to surrender to police
2009 - Ring of Honor ran Coral Springs, FL. Richard Trionfo filed the following live report:
Ring of Honor returned to Florida for their first show since Wrestlemania weekend. While there were shows that were scheduled for October, but they were moved to this weekend. Here are the results:
On the Pre Show:
Match Number One: Alex “Sugar Foot” Payne defeated Chris Escobar
Escobar controlled the early part of the match but after escaping a belly-to-belly suplex, Payne took over in the match and got a few near falls. After Escobar tries for an arm bar submission, Payne gets the three count with a rollup.
Match Number Two: The British Lions (Tommy Taylor and Chris Gray) defeated The Heartbreak Express (Sean and Phil Davis)
The Heartbreak Express take advantage of an attack before the bell rings to isolate Gray but Taylor is able to get back into the match and the Lions work over the Davises. Sean tries to get involved from the apron to give the Express the advantage. Sean uses his size advantage against Gray. After Sean Davis gets a near fall, all four men get into the ring and Taylor and Gray get Sean out of the ring and they pin Phil with a sunset flip.
The Main Show
Match Number One: Brad Attitude defeated Shawn Osborne
Attitude works on the arm at the start of the match and then he gets a number of near falls after a springboard somersault splash. Osborne works on Attitude’s ribs to try to slow him down. Osborne uses the ropes for an assist when he puts Attitude in an abdominal stretch. Attitude is able to counter a power slam attempt with the Attitude Adjustment (not the one that John Cena currently uses).
Match Number Two: Bison Smith defeated Sal Rinauro
Smith starts off the match with a forearm that staggers Rinauro and Sal tries to respond with forearms of his own but they have no effect on Smith. Rinauro is unable to counter Smith’s size advantage and when Rinauro tries to use his speed advantage he is met with a clothesline and then Smith gets the three count with a claw choke slam.
Match Number Three: Roderick Strong, Erick Stevens, and Bobby Dempsey defeat Kenny King, Chasyn Rance, and Rhett Titus
Strong, Stevens, and Dempsey work over King and Rance. The match moves to the floor and Rance tries to slow down Strong by sending him into the apron. Titus, Rance, and King triple team Stevens and then they get a few near falls. They keep Stevens from making the tag. Stevens eventually tags in Dempsey and Dempsey gets a near fall after a power slam. All six men are in the ring but Strong and Stevens take care of Titus and King as they go to the floor, leaving Dempsey and Rance in the ring. Dempsey hits a cannonball into the corner followed by a Death Valley Driver for the three count.
Match Number Four: Austin Aries defeats Necro Butcher
Aries starts off the match trying to avoid Necro. When they do finally make contact, Necro works on Aries’ arm. Necro tries to take the match to the floor, but whenever Necro sends Aries outside the ring, Aries returns and it frustrates Necro. Once they make it to the floor, Necro uses the guardrails and ring post to try to wear down Aries. Aries is able to take control once they return to the ring. After hitting the pendulum elbow, Aries goes up top and he tries for the Ram Jam but he misses it when Necro moves. Necro tries to send Aries through the table at ringside, but Jimmy Jacobs and Delirious come to the ring and Delirious hits Necro with a chair which allows him to hit the running drop kick into the corner followed by a brainbuster for the three count.
Match Number Five: Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn defeat Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs
When the bell rings, Delirious does not do his usual freaking out and running around the ring because Jacobs holds Delirious’ tassels. Jacobs shows no respect to Danielson by spitting in his face but before Danielson can respond, Jacobs tags in Delirious. Lynn and Danielson work on Delirious’ arm. Danielson sets up for a surfboard on Delirious and Jacobs tries to interfere but Lynn stops him and we see a double surfboard. Lynn and Danielson continue to work over Delirious and Jacobs until Jacobs is able to hit a spear on Lynn. After a Hart Attack on Jacobs, Danielson puts him in Cattle Mutilation and then he connects with a few elbow strikes to the head. Jacobs puts Danielson in the End Time but Danielson gets to the ropes. Jacobs accidentally spears Delirious and that allows Danielson to hit Cattle Mutilation to get the victory.
It was time for Intermission.
Match Number Six: Nigel McGuinness defeated Brent Albright in a non-title match
Before the match starts, Nigel gets on the mic and he wants everyone in the building to keep it down while he shows everyone what a real man looks like.
Albright works on Nigel’s arm but Nigel makes his way into the ropes. Nigel and Brent go in and out of the ring and Nigel thinks the he has outsmarted Albright, but Brent is behind Nigel. Nigel sends Albright into the guardrails and then he starts to work on Albright’s arm. Albright returns to the arm bar and hits a German suplex followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Nigel goes to the floor one more time but Albright hits a cross body from the top turnbuckle. Nigel accidentally clotheslines the ring post and Albright returns to the Fujiwara arm bar. Nigel hits the Tower of London but he can only get a two count. After working on Albright’s arm, Nigel with another Tower of London to the floor. Nigel uses the tights to get extra leverage on the rollup.
Match Number Seven: Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated the Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis and Kory Chavis) in a non-title match
The Dark City Fight Club attack Steen and Generico during their entrance. Steen and Generico work over Chavis and Steen hits a somersault leg drop after a drop toe hold from Generico. They follow that with a double senton for a near fall. Steen tags in but Davis came from the floor and pulls Steen off the apron and throws Steen into the guardrails. Davis works over Steen and hits a delayed vertical suplex and then the Dark City Fight Club make quick tags to stay fresh while working over Steen. Generico tags in and he works over Chavis and Davis. Generico hits a frog splash and Chavis makes the save. Chavis hits a lung blower followed by Total Elimination but they can only get a two count. Steen breaks up the neckbreaker and powerbomb combination. Chavis and Davis bump into each other and then Steen hits the Package Piledriver on Chavis and then Generico gets the three count after a brainbuster.
Match Number Eight: Tyler Black defeated Davey Richards (with Larry Sweeney) Black is hesitant to shake Richards’ hand during the match because of what Richards has done before. Black works on the arm and Richards is able to gain control after a knee to the midsection. Richards tries to work on Black’s back and ribs and puts Black in a body scissors. Sweeney trips Black as he comes off the ropes and the referee sends Sweeney to the back despite protests from Sweeney and Richards. Black tries for a suicide dive, but Richards with a kick to the head. Black sends Richards to the floor and then Black hits a somersault plancha. Black tries for the springboard clothesline from the apron but Richards counters with a drop kick. Black goes up top and Richards crotches him. After a number of failed attempts to superplex Black, Richards hits a super German suplex. After a number of near falls by Richards, Black is able to get the three count after a spin kick.
2009 - WWE Raw ran Vancouver, British Columbua. Darren Blakeborough filed the following results:
CM Punk defeated Steven Regal to defend the Intercontinental Championship.
The Miz and Morrison defended the Tag Titles against Charlie "Hitman" Haus and Goldust.
Mark Henry beat Tommy Dreamer.
Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Kane and Mike Knox.
Finlay with Hornswoggle defeated Jack Swagger by DQ. Finlay then made the night for about 6 little boys by bringing them in the ring with Hornswoggle and letting them pose on the corner ropes and running the ring.
Beth Phoenix (with Santino) defeated Kelly Kelly. There were remarkably loud chants for Santino.
In a Triple Threat for the World Championship, John Cena defeated Randy Orton and Chris Jericho. Jericho came out first to a good response and then proceeded to relentlessly heel the crowd. The ladies LOVE Orton, and Cena was so over I was shocked. It was a fun and entertaining show! Oh yes, little kids worship Rey.
2010 - Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky, which for many years hosted Ohio Valley Wrestling events featuring WWE stars and developmental performers was shut down, effective immediately by parent company Six Flags. The park had been run at a loss for several years.

2010 - The Human Tornado, who appeared for MTV's Wrestling Society X and was a regular in the California scene for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, among other companies, announced his retirement from professional wrestling with a brief statement on his facebook account, stating, "Human Tornado is officially retired."

I attended the WWE Supershow yesterday in Philadelphia, PA prior to the Super Bowl. Here are the results:
*John Cena pinned CM Punk with the FU.
*Beth Phoenix & Natalya defeated Layla El & Kaitlyn from NXT Season 3. I guess Michelle McCool got off.
*Kane won a Battle Royal to earn an Intercontinental title shot against Kofi Kingston, dashing my hopes for Kofi vs. Hornswoggle. Most of the mid-card types were in this, most notably Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett.
*Jack Swagger defeated Chris Masters.
*WWE champion The Miz defeated Randy Orton after Alex Riley got involved.
*Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio. The Corre tried to get involved with Rey who fought them off.
*WWE Intercontinental champion Kofi Kingston defeated Kane.
*World champion Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler in a No DQ match.
