1969 - The WWWF ran Madison Square Garden in New York City with the following results:

1973 - WWWF drew 10,425 fans to Boston, MA -at The Boston Garden with the following results:

1980 - A busy day for the WWF as they ran three live events in different markets.  Bruno Sammartino vs. Ken Patera headlined a card in Springfield, MA.  Gorilla Monsoon & Ivan Putski challenged WWF Tag Team Champions the Wild Samoans in Asbury Park, NJ.  WWF champion Bob Backlund went to a double DQ with Larry Zbyszko in Bangor, Maine.

 

1982 - Tony Atlas defeated Jesse Ventura in a Steel Cage Match in Pittsburgh, PA at the Civic Arena.  The undercard results of the WWF event saw:

-Baron Mikel Scicluna defeated Bill Berger.
-Johnny DeFazio defeated Tony Altimore (substituting for Mr. X - yes, Mr. X no showed!).
-Ivan Putski defeated Adrian Adonis.
-Steve Travis & Rick McGraw defeated Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito via disqualification.

1983 - Roddy Piper & Billy Jack Haynes teamed to defeat NWA World Champion Ric Flair & Rip Oliver in the main event of a Pacific Northwest Wrestling event in Portland, Oregon.

 

1984 - NWA World champion Kerry Von Erich defeated Superstar Billy Graham in Ft Myers, FL.

 

1984 - WWF champion Hulk Hogan teamed with Big John Studd in Miyazaki, Japan on a New Japan Pro Wrestling event, going to a double countout with Antonio Inoki & Seiji Sakaguchi.  Also on the card, Andre the Giant defeated John Quinn while Tatsumi Fujinami defeated the Masked Superstar.

 

1985 - The WWF ran The Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY with the following results:

1987 - If there was ever proof that WWF was a monster in the 1980s, this was it.  The promotion ran three live events today.   The promotion ran Fresno, CA at the Convention Center, headlined by WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan defeating Kamala, as well as these events:

 

-Little Karate Kid & Little Tokyo defeated Lord Littlebrook & Little Mexico.
-Dick Slater defeated Steve Lombardi.
-SD Jones defeated Tiger Chung Lee.

-Kimchee defeated Jerry Allen.
-The Can-Am Connection, Rick Martel & Tom Zenk defeated Sika & Kamala.

1989 - Roddy Piper continued his return from retirement, pinning Ted DiBiase in Sacramento, CA at the Arco Arena before 10,000 fans.  Piper substituted for the injured Jake Roberts, and was a surprise that was not advertised.  Also on the show:
-Paul Roma defeated Boris Zhukov.
-Dino Bravo defeated Hercules.
-WWF Women's Champion Rockin Robin defeated Judy Martin.
-The Bushwhackers defeated Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard.
-Bret Hart fought Mr. Perfect to a draw.
-Randy Savage defeated WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan via countout.

 

1990 - Ole Anderson is named the booker of WCW, replacing Ric Flair, who resigned from the position, citing continued difficulties trying to run the creative end of the company (which had seen an amazing 1989 from an in-ring standpoint) under WCW Vice President Jim Herd.

 

1990 - WWF ran a marathon Wrestling Challenge taping in Madison, WI, headlined by WWF champion Ultimate Warrior defeating Mr. Perfect and Hulk Hogan defeating Earthquake by DQ.

 

1992 - WCW ran Savannah, Georgia at the Civic Center, drawing 1,500 fans with the following results:
-Big Josh pinned Richard Morton.
-The Patriots, Firebreaker Chip & Todd Champion defeated Thomas Rich & Tracy Smothers.
-Nikita Koloff pinned Steve Austin with the Russian Sickle.
-Ron Simmons pinned Diamond Dallas Page.
-WCW U.S. Tag Team Champions Greg Valentine & Terry Taylor defeated Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin.
-WCW World Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko (substituting for Bobby Eaton).
-WCW U.S. Champion Rick Rude pinned Ricky Steamboat at around the 30-minute mark after hitting him with the title belt.

1993 - The very first show ever held at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania took place.  It was the first of two consecutive days of television tapings and saw the following results:
- Road Warrior Hawk beat The Samoan Warrior & Donn E. Allen in a handicap match when he pinned both.
- Tommy Cairo won a battle royal to become the first ECW Pennsylvania Champion.
- ECW Tag Team Champions Chris Candido & Johnny Hotbody beat Tommy Cairo & Glen Osbourne when Osbourne was pinned.
- ECW Champion Don Muraco beat Mr. Sandman via countout.
- Road Warrior Hawk beat ECW TV Champion Jimmy Snuka via DQ.
- ECW Tag Team Champions Chris Candido & Johnny Hotbody vs. The Super Destroyers ended in a double DQ.
- Eddie Gilbert beat Herve Renesto in a chain match.
- Terry Funk beat The Dark Patriot via DQ.
- ECW Champion Don Muraco pinned Tommy Cairo.
- The Dark Patriot beat JT Smith via countout.
- Mr. Sandman & Larry Winters beat Tony Stetson & Rockin' Rebel when Sandman pinned Rebel.
- Sal Bellomo & The Super Destroyers vs. Richard Michaels, Chris Candido, & Johnny Hotbody ended in a no-contest as a huge brawl broke out.

1993 - WWF ran Los Angeles, CA at the Sports Arena, drawing 5,000 fans with the following results:
-Virgil defeated the Brooklyn Brawler.
-Bob Backlund defeated Damien Demento.
-Tatanka defeated Razor Ramon.
-Yokozuna defeated Jim Duggan.
-Bret Hart defeated Lex Luger via disqualification when Razor Ramon interfered; after the bout, Luger and Ramon fought their way backstage.
-Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Kamala.
-Rick & Scott Steiner defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Ted Dibiase & IRS via disqualification.

 

1993 - WCW ran Alexandria, LA at Rapides Parish Coliseum, drawing 1,100 fans with the following results:
-Kent & Keith Cole defeated the Wrecking Crew.
-Davey Boy Smith defeated the Barbarian.
-Arn Anderson pinned Erik Watts with the DDT.
-Maxx Payne defeated Steven Dane via submission with the Pain Killer.
-Rick Rude defeated Kensuke Sasaki.
-WCW U.S. Champion Dustin Rhodes defeated WCW World TV Champion Paul Orndorff.
-NWA World Champion Barry Windham defeated Ricky Steamboat.
-Sting defeated WCW World Champion Big Van Vader in a non-title strap match.

 

1994 - Extreme Championship Wrestling ran the ECW Arena in Philadelphia for "When Worlds Collide" featuring the largest crowd to date for an event held there, 1,558.   The show was headlined by Sabu and WCW star Bobby Eaton taking on Terry Funk and WCW star Arn Anderson.  The Public Enemy, taking a payday from Paul E. Dangerously, attacked Funk but Anderson ran them off.  After being accidentally struck by Funk, Anderson turned on him, beating his knees with a steel chair.  That set up Sabu locking on a single legged Boston Crab, which Funk submitted to.

 

The undercard of the event saw the following results:

 

-Tommy Dreamer pinned the Rockin Rebel (w/ Jason) with a Thesz Press at 6:20.  During the match, Dreamer nailed Rockin' Rebel with a frying pan, the first time in ECW history such a weapon had been used, setting the stage for future fan interaction.

-ECW World TV Champion Mikey Whipwreck defeated 911 (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via disqualification at 1:50 when 911 hit a double chokeslam on both Whipwreck and referee John Moore.  911 had destroyed Whipwreck and easily could have won the match.

-Jimmy Snuka pinned Kevin Sullivan when Hunter Q. Robbins grabbed Sullivan's leg and held it down, setting up the pin.  Sullivan destroyed Robbins afterward.

-In the first-ever Loser Gets Caned match, Tommy Cairo & Peaches defeated The Sandman & Woman at 4:59 when Peaches pinned the Sandman after a DDT from Cairo.  Peaches landed three shots to the Sandman until Woman threw powder in her face and the Sandman assaulted Cairo and busted him open.  Sandman then held Peaches for Woman to cane.

-The Pitbull (Gary Wolfe) pinned the Tazmaniac at 8:46 after nailing him with a chain.

-JT Smith & The Bruise Brothers defeated ECW champion Shane Douglas, Mr. Hughes, & ECW Tag Team Champions Public Enemy in a handicap elimination match at 24:51; Douglas, Hughes, and Ron & Don Harris were counted-out at 17:51 when all four men brawled into the crowd; Smith pinned Rocco Rock with a roll up off the ropes at 24:13; Smith pinned Johnny Grunge with a roll up after Grunge collided on the ring apron with.  Road Warrior Hawk was to have been part of the Smith / Bruise Brothers team but was sidelined with an injury.

 

1994 - WWF ran Anaheim, CA at Tje Arrowhead Pond, drawing 10,900 fans.
-USA's 'Up All Night' personality Rhonda Shear hosted the card.
-Adam Bomb defeated the 1-2-3 Kid.
-WWF Women's Champion Alundra Blayze defeated Leilani Kai.
-WWF Tag Team Champions the Headshrinkers defeated the Smoking Gunns.
-Lex Luger defeated Crush.
-Jeff Jarrett defeated Doink the Clown.
-IRS defeated Tatanka via disqualification.
-Yokozuna defeated Earthquake.
-WWF World Champion Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart.

 

1995 - The first-ever WWF In Your House PPV was held.  WWF launched the shows as bi-monthly two hour events with a lower $14.95 PPV pricetag.  The initial PPV was held in Syracuse, NY at the On Center.  As a promotion for the event, WWF gave away a house in Orlando, Florida, won by Matt Pompacilli of Henderson, NV.

 

PPV results: 

-Bret Hart pinned Hakushi (with Shinja) at 14:41 with a reverse roll up out of a waist lock, ending Hakushi's undefeated streak.  Hart had dedicated the match to his mother, since it was Mother's Day.

-Razor Ramon defeated WWF Intercontinental champion Jeff Jarrett & the Roadie in a handicap match at 12:40 by pinning Jarrett with the Razor's Edge.  The heels doubled up on Ramon.  Several tried to help, including Aldo Montoya but were unsuccessful.  Finally, an unidentified man hit the ring for the save.  He was later revealed as Savio Vega, who had been working for the company under a mask as Kwang and was best known as TNT in Puerto Rico.

-Mabel (w/ Mo) pinned Adam Bomb at 1:54 with a powerslam in a King of the Ring Qualifying match.

-WWF Tag Team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji & Jim Cornette) defeated the Smoking Gunns at 5:46 when Owen pinned Bart after Yoko hit a legdrop on the floor.

-Jerry Lawler pinned Bret Hart with a double leg roll up at 5:03 when Hakushi interfered and hit three diving headbutts as referee Earl Hebner was tied upside down in the ropes after becoming distracted by Shinja; --WWF champion Diesel defeated Psycho Sid (w/ Ted Dibiase) via disqualification at 11:29 when Tatanka interfered and broke up a pinfall attempt.  Bam Bam Bigelow made the save.

 

-Jean Pierre Lafitte pinned Bob Holly
- Davey Boy Smith fought WWF Tag Team Champion Owen Hart (w/ Jim Cornette) to a 15-minute time limit draw as Owen had Smith down in a backslide.  This later aired on Monday Night Raw.
-The Undertaker pinned Kama  with a chokeslam and the tombstone at 13:08.  The match was included on the home video release of the show.

-Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Tatanka  with a sunset flip off the top at 8:50.  The match was included on the home video release of the show.

1998 - ECW ran Queens, NY for an event later released on home video as "It Ain't Seinfeld" as it was held opposite the series finale of the NBC Comedy, which was extremely popular.  The complete results of the event, which took place at the Elks Lodge saw:

-Jerry Lynn pinned Justin Credible
-The Blue Meanie & Super Nova defeated Tracy Smothers & Little Guido when Nova pinned Guido
-Lance Storm pinned Balls Mahoney
-Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Axl Rotten
-Chris Candido pinned Jamie Dundee
-Sabu defeated Danny Doring via submission
-ECW World TV Champion Rob Van Dam fought Mikey Whipwreck to a no contest
-The Dudley Boyz defeated Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, & Spike Dudley at 23:24 when all three men pinned Spike after Big Dick dropped him with Total Penetration.  The pre-match atmosphere was so heated, a fan jumped out of the Elks Lodge balcony trying to get to the ring and attack the Dudleys.

1998 - WCW taped Thunder in Durham, New Hampshire at the  Whittemore Center Arena with the following results:

-Gorgeous George III (the future WCW Maestro) defeated Evan Karagias.

2000 - ECW held their Hardcore Heaven Pay-per-view in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Here are the results:
- Masato Tanaka pinned Balls Mahoney.
- Little Guido beat Mikey Whipwreck and Simon Diamond  in a three way dance.  During the match, power was lost in the building, and only spotlights were used to illuminate the ring.
- Kid Kash pinned CW Anderson.
- Chris Chetti & Nova beat Tony DeVito & Angel and Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill in a three way dance.
- New Jack pinned Angel.
- Yoshihiro Tajiri pinned Steve Corino.
- ECW TV Champion Rhino pinned Sandman.
- Jerry Lynn pinned Rob Van Dam.
- ECW Champion Justin Credible pinned Lance Storm.  Tommy Dreamer was originally supposed to wrestle in the match, but Credible threatened to walk out of the company with the title if it wasn't changed to a singles match with Storm.  It was Storm's final ECW match.

2002 - The WWF becomes a thing of the past as newly christened World Wrestling Entertainment announces their new name with the following press release:

New Name And Logo Reflects International Growth Plans and Increasing Diversity of Entertainment Properties

 

To further capture a greater share of the global marketplace and to represent the growing diversity of its entertainment properties, World Wrestling Federation Entertainment today announced it is changing its name to World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE).

 

The company's website, one of the most popular in the world, will now be found at WWE.com.

 

A new logo reflecting the name change was introduced on WWE's top-rated television show RAW(R) on TNN at 9 p.m. (ET) on May 6th.

 

"As World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, we have entertained millions of fans around the United States and around the globe," said Linda McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. "Our new name puts the emphasis on the "E" for entertainment, what our company does best. WWE provides us with a global identity that is distinct and unencumbered, which is critical to our U.S. and international growth plans."

 

Mrs. McMahon said the company began considering dropping the word "Federation" from its name when World Wildlife Fund (a/k/a World Wide Fund for Nature) prevailed in a recent court action in the United Kingdom. The court ruling prevents the World Wrestling Federation from the use of the logo it adopted in 1998 and the letters WWF in specified circumstances.

 

The "Fund" has indicated that although the two organizations are very different, there is the likelihood of confusion in the market place by virtue of the fact that both organizations use the letters WWF. The Fund has indicated that it does not want to have any association with the World Wrestling Federation.

 

"Therefore," said, Mrs. McMahon, "we will utilize this opportunity to position ourselves emphasizing the entertainment aspect of our company, and, at the same time, allay the concerns of the Fund."

 

Mrs. McMahon said the name change provides a distinct and unencumbered global identity that will further cast World Wrestling Entertainment as an integrated entertainment and media company. "World Wrestling Entertainment and WWE will now be the identity that we use from the television base we have established in 130 countries," she said. "As WWE, we will launch our further expanded U.S. and international touring, our international expansion of branded merchandise and licensed products, and our further integration into the film, publishing and music businesses."

 

The successful development of the "Tough Enough"(TM) television series on MTV, a new book deal with Simon and Schuster, and the hit motion picture, "The Scorpion King," executive produced by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and WWE, are examples of the types of activities the company plans to undertake as it expand its horizons in the global entertainment industry.

 

New logo art has been provided to business partners, licensees and vendors. The company expects that, for the most part, the changeover to the new name and logo will be completed within five months.

 

WWE will continue to trade as WWF on the New York Stock Exchange until a suitable replacement symbol is found. The company will be providing the appropriate documentation and filings with regulators to solicit shareholder approval of the name change.

 

In conjunction with the name change, WWE announced it has changed the name of its entertainment complex in New York City's Times Square from WWF New York to The World(R), currently the name of its popular night club.

The May 14th edition of Monday Night RAW comes to us from Hampton, Virginia.  It follows a show that saw The Great Khali steal John Cena's WWE Championship belt while the champ was wrestling Randy Orton, but more importantly, Edge took Money in the Bank from Ken Kennedy after he goaded then assaulted him. Edge used that to win the World Heavyweight Title from Undertaker on last week's Smackdown.
 
John Cena opens the show by walking out without his WWE Championship belt. Cena says he was announced as the WWE Champion, but he has no title. Cena says Khali left with the belt and he couldn't stop him. Cena says it wasn't the first time he was humiliated, as every week one group tells him he sucks. But he has pride for the business and championship, and it was just taken. He's been face to face with the baddest human beings on the planet, but it's like Khali isn't even human. He can hit him with his best shot to no effect. Cena's voice is breaking a bit like he's on the verge of tears. Khali has never been pinned or submitted. He's erased everyone that's stepped in his way (except Taker) and he can do what he wants, when he wants. Cena's friends are telling him Judgment Day is a bad idea (shoot?). It will be his execution. Cena wants to tell them they are wrong. Cena says if he is in the right frame of mind, he can be a one man wrecking crew.  That means Khali has signed up for the fight of his life. And not Judgment Day....Cena wants his belt back right now.
 
Khali is in the back with the title. He has a new translator. Khali says (through the translator) that no one has brought as much destruction as Khali has in the last few weeks. Replays of his devastation are shown. Was that kid crying because he felt bad for HBK or because Khali was wrestling? Khali says that he will become the new WWE Champion on Sunday. He then does Cena's "You Want Some, Come Get Some" hand motion. He also said it in his own language.
 
Cena walks to the back. He meets Khali with some punches, but is swatted down. Khali throws a trash can at Cena, then tosses him around. Two handed chokeslam onto one of the carts. He then slams Cena into the door of the loading dock and leaves the champ gasping for air. Commercial.
 
Jeff Hardy w/ Matt Hardy vs. Trevor Murdoch w/ Lance Cade
 
Lock up to start. Murdoch powers Hardy into the corner, but does a clean break. Side headlock takedown by Hardy. Murdoch and Hardy trade armdrags. Standoff after some missed clotheslines. Not exactly Malenko-Guerrero, but it's an interesting change. Murdoch with a shoulderblock and elbow drop for two. Hardy dumps Murdoch onto the apron then punches him off. Hardy dives over the top ropes to the floor. Hardy kicks Murdoch into the corner with a mule kick. 4 punches in the corner, but Cade dodges an attempted dropkick. Murdoch covers for two. Another cover gets a near fall. Murdoch with a chinlock. Jawbreaker by Hardy. Hardy with an elbow. Whisper in the Wind connects and gets two. Hardy goes to the top, but Murdoch stops him. Hardy shoves Murdoch off, but Murdoch gets his knees up to block the Swanton for two. Murdoch is in disbelief, and stalls before going for his next move. Hardy takes advantage with a small package and pins Murdoch.

Post match, Cade gets in the ring and looks upset. King says we are about to see the true colors, but Murdoch offers his hand to Jeff, who accepts. Cade and Murdoch walk off without incident.

A replay of Lashley beating down Coachman last week is shown. Shane is consoling Coach in the back, saying he has Shane, Umaga, and the ECW Champion in his corner tonight. Vince is still acting black. Shane O Mac gives Coach a pep talk to pump him up. Coach runs off excited. Umaga breathes heavily and exits. Vince admires his own head dressing. Shane compliments him, but with a hint of sarcasm. Commercial.

 

Slam of the Week is actually just a roll up, with Santino pinning Chris Masters in his first Intercontinental Title defense.
 
Intercontinental Title Match: Santino Marella (c) vs. Chris Masters
 
Santino is now residing in lovely Patterson, New Jersey. Ross reiterates that he has been training for years. Marella goes for a takedown, but Masters pounds him in the back. Masters whips him into the corner and goes for the Masterlock. Santino throws him off. Hip toss by Santino, then a wrist lock. Masters makes the ropes and hits a backbreaker. Irish whip into the ropes followed by another backbreaker by Masters for two. Masters knees Santino in the back. Marella fires back with kicks to the leg, but Masters hits a lariat. He goes for the Masterlock again, but Marella shoves him off. Marella with some strikes. Spinebuster by Masters for two. Santino slips out of a Masterlock and floats around Masters to roll him up for the win.

Post match, Masters puts Marella in the Masterlock. Masters says that Marella shouldn't mess with him.
 
Condemned shill. Who would WWE Superstars put on the island? Cryme Tyme, Umaga, Khali, Melina, and others are among the choices. Who would be the evil producer? Vince, obviously! Maybe if all these people were in the movie it would have done better.
 
Speaking of Melina, she makes her way to the announcer's table for commentary. She does a split on the desk.
 
Candice Michelle vs. Victoria
 
Victoria doesn't even get an entrance. Candice with a snapmare and neck snap. Roll up gets two. Victoria knocks her down and shoves her face into the mat. Victoria stretches Candice on the mat. Candice fights back and does the Go Daddy Elbow Drop for two. Candice with a Satellite Headscissors Takedown. Victoria elbows her and goes for a TKO, but Candice counters and hits a spinning heel kick for the win. That's three wins in a row for those counting at home.

Post match, Candice motions that she wants the belt. Melina: "What Candice, are you showing us your fat rolls?"
 
Edge comes out for his farewell to the RAW crowd. The new World Heavyweight Champion has a ton of pyro, too. Edge soaks in the moment for a couple minutes before speaking. Edge says he had the greatest week in history. He could have cashed in MITB on Cena, but been there, done that. He chose to cash it in on the Phenom. Replay of the short match is shown. Awesome angle. Edge thought about leaving the crowd with one last Edge match. But one, the people don't deserve it, and two, Khali has already left the building. Not to mention in six days he defends the belt against Batista. Edge did in three seconds what Bats couldn't do in three months...beat the Undertaker, so he's not worried. Instead of a match, Edge decided to leave as World Heavyweight Champion.
 
Before he can walk away, Shawn Michaels comes to the stage. He 'plugs' a new HBK hat. Shawn wants Edge to just leave. Edge tells him to shut up and stop the excuses. Shawn wants a match, the people want a match, so Edge suggests they fight tonight.
 
Lashley is with Todd Grisham in the back. Todd wants his thoughts on his title match at Judgment Day. Before he can answer, Shane comes up to him clapping and reminds Lashley of the no touching stipulation. Shane does the old finger in face/I'm not touching you bit. He wishes Lashley luck in his match against the Coach.

 

Shane, Vince, and Umaga come to ringside to be in Coach's corner. JR and King mention the honorary doctorate Vince got on Sunday.
 
Jonathan Coachman vs. Bobby Lashley
 
Vince taunts Lashley by holding the belt up in the ring. Coach slaps Lashley. Lashley slaps him back then pounds Coach in the ropes. Clothesline by Lashley. Lashley with forearms to the back. He puts Coach in the Torture Rack and does an Argentine Backbreaker Drop. Spear by Lashley and it's over.

Post match, Umaga and Shane attack, so Lashley can fight back. He throws Shane from the ring, but Umaga hits a throat thrust and beats down Lashley in the corner. Lashley dodges the Whipsplash and hits a spear on Umaga. Vince gets on the apron but runs away. Lashley gives chase, but is blindsided by Shane. Bobby gets up and Shane runs through the crowd. Lashley tries to cut him off and they run around in the back, Lashley grabs Shane's sports jacket, but Shane takes it off and hops on top of a waiting limo. Shane crawls in through the moon roof as it drives off. When Lashley turns around, Vince clocks him with the ECW Title belt.
 
Carlito vs. Val Venis
 
Lock up to start. Val takes down Carlito, but Carlito comes back with a wristlock. Val slams him to the mat, then hits a running knee to the gut. He hits another and a Side Russian Leg Sweep for two. Clothesline by Carlito and he punches Val on the mat. Carlito dumps Val out of the ring. He drives Val into the apron a couple of times. Carlito covers in the ring for two. Carlito gets several kidney shots as the crowd chants for Flair. Val punches back, but Carlito blocks a charge and hits a middle rope dropkick for two. Carlito works the back. Val kicks Carlito in the face, dodges a charge and goes for a school boy for two. Jawbreaker by Carlito, but Val comes back with some clotheslines and an elbow drop for two. Carlito backflips over Val, but Venis catches him and scores with a Uranage.  Val goes up top for a Money Shot, but Carlito rolls out of the way. When Venis gives chase, Carlito throws him into the second turnbuckle. Backcracker and it's over. Surprisingly good match.

As soon as the match is over, Flair runs out, but Carlito escapes through the crowd. Flair struts in the ring.
 
Michaels is stretching in the back when Orton comes up to him. HBK tells Orton to get to the point. Orton says he thinks he can beat him. Michaels implies he isn't doing anything on Sunday. Orton challenges him to a match at Judgment Day. Shawn accepts.

Shawn Michaels vs. Edge
 
For storyline purposes, HBK has a concussion. Michaels gets an early headlock. Edge throws him off, but Michaels hits a shoulderblock and side headlock takedown. Edge stands up and breaks the headlock. Edge powers Michaels into the corner and gets a sucker punch in on the break. Another right hand knocks HBK down. Edge punches him in the corner. Michaels counters a back body drop attempt with a swinging neckbreaker. Shawn takes Edge from pillar to post. Edge kicks Michaels on the rebound. Edge punches Michaels some more. He bounces off the ropes, but HBK throws him over the top rope. He leaps off the apron with a Lou Thesz Press on the floor. Commercial.
 
Back from the break, Edge has the advantage. Michaels is on the mat and Edge stomps on his head. During the commercial, Edge got a reverse hot shot that slingshots HBK to the mat face first. The ref asks Michaels if he wants to continue as Edge keeps up the assault with another boot to the head. Michaels tries to punch back but is knocked down. Edge kicks him in the head again. Michaels punches out of a cravate, but Edge connects with a big boot for two. Edge goes to the floor so he can get some leverage on the elbows to Michaels' head. Edge with some more shots in the corner. Neckbreaker by Edge for two. Chinlock by Edge. Michaels fights out and drives Edge into the corner. He's out of energy, though, and Michaels knocks him down with a right hand. Edge goes to the top rope, but HBK crotches him. Edge recovers and headbutts Michaels to the mat. Edge misses a cross body off the middle rope. Both men get up at the count of five and trade punches and chops. Michaels with the flying forearm, inverted atomic drop, and a right hand. Scoop slam and Michaels goes for the elbow drop. He hits it and tunes up the band. Sweet Chin Music connects and Shawn Michaels gets the clean pin over the World Heavyweight Champion (reading between the lines, RAW is superior to Smackdown for all intents and purposes).

After the match, Orton comes out. He and Michaels brawl on the mat. Orton with a thumb to the eye and low blow. Orton kicks Michaels in the head to knock him out. Orton glares at the fallen Michaels, who is not moving, to end the show.
 

2008 - Ring of Honor announced they would make their Canadian debut in July 2008 in Toronto at the Ted Reeves Arena.  The promotion also officially announced that Jay Briscoe vacated the ROH Tag Team championships after the Hammerstein event because after seeing his brother Mark interfere and help Briscoe and Austin Aries retain the belts, he "realized that it felt wrong to be defending the belts without Mark as his partner", so they were vacating them but would come back to regain them when Mark returned from injury.

 

2009 - In an interview with Alex Marvez, the retired Ric Flair talked of wanting to return to the ring, only a little more than a year after his retirement at Wrestlemania 24.  Flair commented, "I love the business. I was thinking the other day about the reason why God gave me this health. I don't hurt anywhere. I haven't lost any strength. I'm just like I was 10 years ago. I keep thinking, 'Why am I signing autographs when I can still take backdrops?'  But I respect Shawn and (WWE) so much that I wouldn't do anything to disrespect them. They would have to give me full approval (to wrestle again). They put me in a special place. I think it's going to be a long time before we see something come across again like what they did for me (with the retirement ceremony). I didn't think it would be that big a deal. We'll see how this turns out."   As it turned out, Flair returned to the ring during a tour of Australia under the Hulkamania banner before debuting for TNA towards the end of the year.  He is still wrestling.

We start off tonight with a look back at the sacrifices that people are willing to make to face Mick Foley for the TNA Heavyweight Title. Sting has said what he would sacrifice. So has Kurt Angle. Who is next?

 

We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Mike ‘TNA . . . not the NBA’ Tenay and Don ‘To Catch a Nashville Predators’ West.

 

Mick Foley takes the opening segment as he comes to the ring to give the Main Event Mafia a breather. Mick has a mic and Mike Tenay teases some problems between Mick and Jeff Jarrett that took place in Nashville.

 

Mick says that everyone knows that people are sacrificing things to face him for the title at Sacrifice. Kurt Angle is putting his godfather position in the Main Event Mafia while Sting has put his career on the line. Mick wants to talk about something else and he mentions the Jeff Jarrett DVD. Mick says that he might have forgotten about Jeff’s contributions to TNA. Mick says that if you think that something is missing tonight, it is the presence of Jeff Jarrett. Tonight is the first time that Jeff Jarrett will not be a part of Impact. Mick says that he feels partially responsible because he pushed Jeff Jarrett and might have said things that he shouldn’t have. Mick talks about rumors of a DVD of a nasty incident in Nashville. Mick says that there is a DVD of this incident. Mick says that as Executive Shareholder there are some difficult decisions to make. There are some portions that are dark and difficult for TNA fans to watch. Mick says that he thought about it and they did not bring him on board to make the easy decisions. He was brought in to make the difficult decisions. Mick says the fans deserve to see what is on the DVD. We will see that footage throughout the night.

 

Jeremy Borash is in the Main Event Mafia dressing room and Kurt Angle is not here tonight. It turns out that Kurt is in Hollywood. Scott Steiner says that they are the hottest thing and Steiner says that Kurt put him in charge. Steiner talks about his achievements at Michigan. Booker says that he will take care of Holliday. Kevin mentions that Jenna still has issues with Sharmell and Steiner tries to calm them down. Steiner tells them to take care of their business in the ring while he takes care of the domestic issues.

We are back and we go to Mick Foley’s office and Jeremy Borash wants to know about the DVD. Mick is taking down a picture of Jeff Jarrett because of a crack in the glass. Mick asks Borash to ‘show him the eyes’ and he will show him some of the DVD. Jeremy mentions that he learned it from watching Don Knotts on Three’s Company. Eric Young stops in and he wonders if it is an opportunity to be in a tag match with a guy he never met before. Mick tells Eric not to insult Holliday. Mick tells Eric that he will be facing Samoa Joe tonight.

 

We take a look back at the latest people to accuse Daniels of being Suicide.

 

Match Number One: Chris Sabin with Alex Shelley versus Christopher Daniels

 

They lock up and Sabin with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Sabin and Daniels block hip tosses and then Sabin monkey flips Daniels but Daniels with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Daniels with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Sabin with an Irish whip and Daniels sends Sabin to the apron. They fight to the turnbuckles and Sabin crotches Daniels and Sabin with a clothesline into a Tree of Woe. Sabin with a hesitation drop kick and a near fall. Sabin chokes Daniels and rakes the face. Shelley rakes the eyes while Sabin is with the referee.

 

Lethal and Creed watch the match from the stage while Sabin works over Daniels. Sabin with an Irish whip but Daniels gets his knees up when Sabin goes for a back elbow. Daniels with a back breaker and both men are down. Daniels with a running forearm and a kick. Daniels with an elbow and a curb stomp from the turnbuckles. Daniels with an STO for a two count. Daniels tries for the Angel’s Wings, but Shelley grabs Daniels’ leg and Sabin attacks Daniels and hits a knee to the midsection. Sabin hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall.

 

Sabin with a drop kick to Daniels and then he tries for the tornado DDT but Daniels hits a reverse atomic drop. Daniels with a kick followed by an uranage and the BME for the three count.

Jeremy Borash is with Mick Foley and the referees and Mick says that Slick Johnson is a stooge because he is friends with Jeff Jarrett. Mick also sends Senior Referee Rudy Charles away. Mick says that he will use Earl Hebner. He tells Earl not to disqualify Samoa Joe under any circumstances.

We are back and Jeremy Borash is with Scott Steiner and Jenna. Scott tells Jenna to stop causing problems with Sharmell. Jenna blames it on Sharmell but Steiner says that Sharmell is Booker’s wife. Steiner says that Sharmell apologized and Steiner wants to set up a summit between the women.

 

Angelina Love is with Lauren in the back and Lauren wants to know who Angelina was begging to come tonight. Angelina says that she always gets what she wants. She says that she was talking to the only man that she can trust. We see Kip James and he says that the issue is Kong. Kip says that he will be facing Kong in the stretcher tonight.

 

We go to commercial.

 

It is time to take a look at Jeff Jarrett and he is with his kids in Tennessee yesterday and he is in the golf cart and jet ski with her. Time to go to dance class. Jeff talks about how he would rather spend time at home than at some diner like Mick Foley.

 

Match Number One: Eric Young versus Samoa Joe in a Mick Foley told the referee not to disqualify Joe Match

 

Joe punches Young and hits a running elbow into the corner followed by an enzuigiri. Young punches Joe and then he sends him into turnbuckles. Young does the Young flip and then he slides back in. Joe with a knee and a kick that sends Eric over the top rope to the floor. Young punches Joe on the floor but Joe slams Young’s head into the apron. Joe gets a chair and Young hits Joe and Young slams his head into the chair. Joe throws the chair at Young and Young goes down while the referee does not disqualify Joe. Joe with a jab to Young. Young with a rollup and Joe chokes Eric and Eric tries to escape with the Curly circle on the mat. Eric Young has passed out and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner: Samoa Joe

 

After the match, Joe takes Eric Young out of the Impact Zone and we go to commercial.

 

We are back and let’s see where Joe took Eric Young. Joe puts Eric in the open trunk of a car and the car drives away.

 

Mike Tenay was with Sting to interview him and he talks about Sting’s announcement of what his sacrifice would be. Sting says that he did not expect to do it but it was something that he had to do. He does not want to be remembered as just another name on the TNA roster. He blames some of the problems on Mick Foley. Sting says that he expected that Mick Foley would have made rules to help him out. Sting says that he was second guessing himself in the ring. Sting says that he went back to the hotel and he thought about things and reality set back in and his mind was clear. Sting says that it was all worth it. It was even worth the sacrifice that he is going to make at Sacrifice. It will be the dawning of a new day or the last day of his career.

 

We go to footage of Lauren with Taylor Wilde on the blind date. It turns out that the secret admirer is Daffney. Daffney tells Taylor that she is going to be the victim at Monster’s Ball. Daffney screams wondering where Taylor was when she had her hair cut by Angelina, Velvet, and Madison. We go to commercial.

 

We are back and time to see Jeff Jarrett driving his kids home from school.

 

Match Number Three: Kip James with Angelina Love versus Awesome Kong with Raisha Saeed in a Stretcher Match

 

They lock up and Kip backs Kong into the corner and Kong stares at Love. Kip is distracted by Saeed and Kong with a splash in the corner. Kong with a running butt splash followed by punches. Kip grabs Kong by the throat but Saeed with a low blow to Kip while the referee is with Angelina. Kong hits Kip with the chair. Kong hits Kip again with the chair and then she puts the chair on Kip’s head and Kong with a splash onto the chair. Kong with a second splash onto the chair on Kip’s head. Kong rolls Kip on the stretcher and he is counted out.
Winner: Awesome Kong

 

Time for more Main Event Mafia peace talk negotiations. Steiner is with Sharmell and Steiner tells Sharmell that Jenna is sorry to convince Sharmell to be there. What will happen when the two women are in the same room? Jeremy likes the double swerve.

 

Lauren was in the back with Team 3D and Ray says that the tournament has been going great. He says that tag team wrestling is alive and well in TNA. Ray says that they are proud to be tag team champions. Ray says that they left the other company because they were wrestling the same teams every night. We see the British team attack Team 3D. We go to commercial.

 

We are back with more footage of Jeff Jarrett in downtown Nashville. Jeff is walking down the street and he sees Jeremy Borash at a Nude Karaoke bar.

 

Match Number Four: Suicide and Amazing Red versus Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus with Rob Terry in a Team 3D Tournament SemiFinal Match

 

Williams and Suicide start things off and Suicide blocks a kick and he gets a rollup for a two count. Williams bridges out of a cover and gets a back slide for a two count. Magnus tags in and he gets a kick in the head. Suicide punches Magnus and hits a hip toss. Suicide with a kick and then Red and Suicide sends Williams into Magnus. Magnus with a kick to the head of Red. Williams tags back in and they hit a double Japanese neck breaker. Williams with a head butt and a knee to Red followed by a slam and a knee to the throat for a near fall. Magnus tags back in and they hit a double back elbow and Magnus walks across Red’s back. Magnus with a leg drop for a near fall. Red with a boot to Magnus followed by a flatline from the turnbuckles.

 

Williams and Suicide tag in and Suicide sends Williams into Magnus. Suicide with a springboard back elbow followed by a fireman’s carry slam for a near fall. Red with a missile drop kick to Magnus and then Suicide puts Williams on top while Red hits a somersault splash from the top to Magnus. Williams knocks Suicide off the top turnbuckle and the Motor City Machine Guns hit a double super kick while the referee focuses on the wrestlers on the floor. Williams with a knee drop from the top turnbuckle for the three count.

After the match, the Machine Guns double team Red and then they turn their attention to Suicide because they want to take off his mask. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed come to the ring and we go to commercial.

 

We are back and Jay Lethal is in the ring and it is 1988. He says that they are going to prove that Suicide is Daniels and they surround him and Suicide tries to escape but they stop him. Before they take the mask off, we see Daniels come to the ring. Daniels and Suicide attack The Guns, Lethal, and Creed. Suicide with a drop kick to Lethal and then he runs Shelley into the turnbuckles. Daniels with Angel’s Wings to Creed. Daniels and Suicide are together in the ring.

We are back with Jeremy Borash and Scott Steiner at the TNA recreation of the SALT Talks. Sharmell and Jenna start yelling and there is pandemonium.

 

Match Number Four: No Limit versus Kevin Nash in a handicap match

 

Naito and Yujiro double team Nash and Naito with a missile drop kick to Nash. Naito with a kick but Nash grabs Naito and hits a choke slam. Yujiro punches Nash and Nash with knees aplenty. Nash with an elbow to Yujiro. Nash follows that with a side slam to Naito. Nash with a midlevel big boot to Naito. Nash with the jackknife power bomb to Naito for the three count.
Winner: Kevin Nash

 

After the match, Nash gets on the mic and he says that this world runs on one thing . . . violence. He says that we need it. They say that there is a nation of violence running around TNA. There will be violence at Sacrifice. It’s name won’t be Samoa Joe, it will be Kevin Nash.

 

Mick Foley is in his office and he has the DVD ready to play. Mick says the DVD is a bit violent. Mick says that he promised to show the fans so he will be showing it.

We are back and A.J. Styles is with Lauren. Lauren asks A.J. about the I Quit match against Booker T at Sacrifice. A.J. says that he has been preparing this match his entire life because he has had the opportunity to say I Quit his whole life. This is a match about heart. Since Booker’s ego is as big as A.J.’s heart, this should be an even match. A.J. says that he will never say I Quit.

 

Match Number Five: Jethro Holliday versus Booker T with Sharmell in a Special I Quit Match

 

They lock up and Holliday backs Booker into the corner but Booker with chops and punches. Holliday punches back and Booker goes down. Holliday with a back elbow and an elbow to the top of the head. Holliday clotheslines Booker over the top rope to the floor. Holliday goes out after Booker but Booker with a kick and a hot shot onto the guardrail. Booker sends Holliday into the ring post. Booker with a belly-to-back suplex when they return to the ring. Holliday punches Booker and chops him. Booker hits a spinning heel kick and Holliday will not quit. Booker misses the axe kick and Holliday with the big boot. Holliday punches Booker. Holliday with a clothesline that flips Booker. Booker uses a chair while Sharmell distracts the referee to the point where he cannot hear the sound of metal to the skull. Booker with an axe kick and Holliday quits.

Mick Foley is in the production truck and he gives the cue for them to play ‘The DVD’.

We are back and it is time for Mick Foley to give us the most anticipated DVD release in Impact history. Mick says that it has come to that time to see what happened in Nashville. Mick warns the people at home (and those using flash photography). Now it is time to see Jeff at the site of his second ever match in 1986. Jeff talks about returning for TNA. We go to Jeff’s dressing room and then to the old box office where his grandmother sold tickets. From out of nowhere, Mick Foley attacks Jeff and he sends Jeff into the bathroom. Mick continues to batter Jarrett. Mick hits Jarrett with a chair.

 

We are back and Mick admits to being partially responsible for the disturbing footage. Jeff learned an important message and that sometimes you can’t go home. We go to credits.

 

2010 - The Calgary Herald reported that the famous Hart Family Mansion in Calgary is up for sale.  The home, which has been refurbished, is listed for $4.95 million dollars.  The famed "Dungeon" basement, where Stu Hart trained (and stretched) numerous wrestlers, has been preserved the way the Hart family had it.

We start off tonight’s show with a look back at Matt Hardy’s appearance that was interrupted by a vicious attack by Drew McIntyre. This was followed by Teddy Long’s announcement that Drew McIntyre was suspended, stripped of the title, and fired.

 

We are live on tape from Buffalo, New York and your announcers are Matt ‘Buffalo 66’ Striker and Todd ‘I can see Canada from the arena’ Grisham.

 

Teddy Long is in the ring and he has the Intercontinental Title belt on his shoulder. Teddy plays the part of ring announcer and brings out the two men who will battle for the Intercontinental Title.

 

Match Number One: Kofi Kingston versus Christian for the Intercontinental Title

 

Kofi with a kick but when he tries for a second kick but Christian blocked it and applies a waist lock on Kofi as he takes him to the mat and turns it into a front face lock. Kofi with a front face lock of his own and Christian turns it into a hammer lock. Christian with a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Christian works on the arm and then Kofi with a leg sweep for a near fall. Kofi with a side head lock and he holds on when Christian tries to send him off the ropes. Christian with a back elbow and then he punches Kofi and he hits a monkey flip but Kofi lands on his feet. Kofi with a monkey flip of his own after some counters on hip toss attempts. Christian goes to the floor and then Kofi tries for a pescado but Christian moves out of the way and gets into the ring and hits a double jump elbow to the floor and we go to commercial.

 

We are back and we are back in the ring with Christian working on Kofi’s neck. Kofi with forearms but Christian with a kick. Christian with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow. Christian with a flapjack and he gets a near fall. Christian with another back elbow and he gets a near fall. Christian with a reverse chin lock and Kofi punches Christian. Christian punches back but Kofi with a take down on Christian. Kofi is kicked off and Christian charges but Kofi with a pendulum kick and then he goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Kofi with chops and a drop kick. Kofi tries for the jump into the corner but Christian moves. Kofi with a leaping clothesline. Kofi tries for the Boom Drop but Christian trips him and gets a near fall on a rollup. Kofi counters with a near fall on a rollup. Christian with a punch and then he hits an electric chair drop when Kofi tries for a leap frog and he gets a near fall. Christian goes to the turnbuckles but Kofi catches Christian as he comes off and gets a jackknife cover but he can only get a near fall. Christian gets a near fall of his own. Kofi with a European uppercut and then Kofi charges into the corner and Christian gets his boots up. Christian goes up top but he misses a cross body when Kofi moves. Kofi goes up top and hits a cross body of his own to get a near fall. Kofi with a kick and then he hits the Boom drop and he sets for Trouble in Paradise but Christian blocks it and he hits an inverted DDT and gets a near fall. Christian chokes Kofi in the ropes as he stands on his back. Christian goes to the floor and he hits an uppercut. Kofi hits the SOS and gets a near fall. Kofi leaps to the corner and he punches Christian and then Christian with a pendulum kick and goes to the turnbuckles for a back elbow. Christian sets for the Killswitch but Kofi pushes Christian off. Christian with an elbow to Kofi and then he goes to the turnbuckles for a sunset flip but Kofi rolls through. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise and gets the three count.

After the match, Teddy gives the title belt to the new champion. Kofi and Christian shake hands as a sign of respect before Kofi celebrates on his own.

 

Drew McIntyre comes out and he is wearing a very white suit. Teddy wants to know what Drew McIntyre is doing coming to the ring and he tells Drew that he will have security escort him out of the building. Teddy is about to get security but Drew reaches into his jacket and gives Teddy Long an envelope. Teddy opens the envelope and reads the letter and then Teddy apologizes to Kofi and takes the title belt from one of the shortest reigning Intercontinental Champions in history. Kofi tells Teddy that he won but Teddy says that he is asking Kofi as the general manager of Smackdown. He apologizes again and Kofi finally gives the belt to Teddy.

 

Teddy gives the belt back to Drew and then Drew leaves the ring with his belt. Drew goes to the back while Kofi seethes in the ring.

We are back and did you know that WWE has a lot of video for its WWE Classics on Demand service?

 

Matt and Todd talk about what happened with the Intercontinental Title. Matt has the letter in front of him and he happens to have a house mic so he tells everyone what the letter says. Matt reads the letter that was addressed to Teddy Long and it says that Teddy Long’s actions were irresponsible and reprehensible. It says that Teddy’s abuse of power was appalling and his lack of judgment was paramount. It says that Drew McIntyre is a gentleman and an example of the future of the WWE. As the chairman of the board, the decision of last week has been overturned and he is still recognized as the Intercontinental Champion. The letter is signed by Vince McMahon.

 

It is time to take a look back at Big Show since he came to Smackdown.

 

We go to the back where a truck is opened and Jack Swagger is supervising the removal of those items. He tells them to be careful moving the items.

 

Match Number Two: Shad Gaspard versus Jesse Guyver

 

Shad sends Guyver into the corner but Jesse with forearms but Shad with a boot and then he connects with forearms. Shad with a hip lock take down and then he punches Jesse on the mat. Shad with a forearm to the back and then he chokes Jesse in the ropes. Shad sends Jesse to the mat. Jesse tries for a sunset flip but Shad picks up Jesse and hits the STO for the three count.

 

Winner: Shad Gaspard

Match Number Three: Montel Vontavious Porter and JTG versus Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft

 

JTG and Barreta start things off and they lock up. Barreta with a kick and forearm but JTG with an Irish whip and back body drop. JTG with a knee and a leap frog leg drop. Croft tries to interfere but Porter sends him to the mat. Porter and JTG clotheslines Croft and Barreta over the top rope to the floor. JTG punches Trent and then he connects with an elbow. Croft trips JTG and that allows Barreta to hit a running knee and he gets a near fall. Croft tags in and he gets a near fall. Croft with a reverse chin lock and he sends JTG into the turnbuckles and he tags Trent into the match. Trent with kicks and punches followed by a knee. Trent with a knee to the head and then he gets a near fall. Trent with a knee to choke him and then he tags Croft in and he kicks JTG. Croft kicks JTG and he tags Trent back in. They make another series of tags and Croft gets a near fall. Croft with a reverse chin lock and knees. JTG with a short arm clothesline and both men are down. Trent tags in and JTG kicks Trent off and he tags in Porter. Porter with an overhead belly-to-belly throw followed by clotheslines and he hits the facebuster. Porter with the Ballin elbow and then Croft tries to break up the cover and Porter avoids Croft. Porter sends Croft out of the ring and JTG drops Trent on the top rope and Porter hits the 305 for the three count.

We go to the locker room where the Straight Edge Society is meeting. Punk says that they hurt his feeling last week because for the first time he saw doubt in their faces. He says that he forgives them because he knows that Rey Mysterio put that doubt in their heads. He says that Rey should have blown smoke in their face or poured pills down their throats as well with his rhetoric. Punk says that they need to get the poison out and keep the doubt from their minds. He tells them that they will not be coming to the ring for his match with Rey. He says that he will show them why he is the leader. At Over the Limit, Rey’s redemption begins because it will be a long road to Rey’s salvation. They come together for a group hug.

 

Trophies are being brought to the ring as we go to commercial.

 

We are back and there are trophies all over the place.

 

Jack Swagger comes to the ring to be reunited with all of his awards and accolades. Swagger has a huge smile on his face before he talks. He says that if he does not take this moment to do it, he will never forgive himself. Jack takes off his jacket and he does some push ups for everyone who missed them from his entrance. Swagger says that he has accomplished more in one day than most people have done in their lives. Jack says that he called his daddy and he had him pack up all of his awards and honors to share with the people in the crowd as well as the Big Show. Swagger says that one trophy is enough for most people, but that is not the way he works. We go to commercial while Jack continues to talk.

 

We are back and so is Jack. Jack says just over 28 years ago, his daddy celebrated his greatest achievement. The birth of a picture perfect fifteen pound, two ounce blonde haired blue eyed, future heavyweight champion. We see a photo of a young Jack in his wrestling gear. Swagger says that he won his first state wrestling title at age five. He says that he was better than everyone’s children at age five. He says that he is still better than everyone’s children. Swagger says that when you are an Eagle Scout, words like honesty, integrity, trustfulness, kind, obedient, confident, and brave mean something. Jack says that he can see that some of the people in the crowd don’t understand those words. Jack says that he still upholds the Scout’s honor with everything that he does, every day of his life. We go to the next photo and it is from when Jack won his third state wrestling title. He says that growing up, greatness was his neighbor and success was his best friend and they hung out a lot. Jack says that he was literally king of his high school. Jack puts on his crown.

 

At age eighteen he was the homecoming queen. He talks about his date and asks how many eighteen year olds bring a perfect ten to the prom as their date. He asks how many eighteen year olds bring a thirty-two year old brain surgeon as their date. He says that she looked good on the dance floor with him. Jack says that he was a Viennese ballroom dancing master. He says that he had time to lead his football team to its first district title in years. He says that he had offers from schools all over the country but he stayed true to his home state, Oklahoma. We see a photo of Jack with Bob Stoops. He says that he was a Cotton Bowl Champion, Big 12 Champion, Rose Bowl Champion, and Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year. Jack says that there is so much more to the All American American American American Amercian and he wants everyone to see that.

 

Jack says that he is a certified swim instructor. He says that he had over fourteen live wet saves as a lifeguard. He saved mediocre people so those people could continue to lead their mediocre lives. Jack asks if he sucks, why did the World Famous Perry Deli name their best selling sandwich after him. He says that it tastes delicious and tastes like freedom. Jack thanks everyone and he says that he is almost finished. Jack says that no one compares to him in a battle of wits. He mentions that he is a National Scrabble Champion. Jack says that he is also a master chess player.

 

Big Show comes out to the ring and he has something to say to Swagger and his many trophies. Show tells Swagger to relax and then he tells Swaggie that it is okay. He says that he came out because he says this is impressive. He says that he doesn’t even know if he can spell ‘scrabble’. Jack tells Show to get his fat Vienna sausage fingers off his stuff. Show says that his fingers aren’t fat. They might be husky or big boned and then he says that he won’t break anything. Show says that he is impressed and that he will put the Scrabble award down. Unfortunately, Show drops it and then while trying to pick it up, he steps on it.

 

Swagger says that Show did that on purpose. Swagger wants Show to leave so he can talk about his achievements. Show asks about the Viennese Ballroom Dancing trophy and Swagger says that he won it in 2004. Show says that he was asked to be on Dancing with the Stars but he doesn’t think that he is coordinated enough. Show picks up a trophy and starts to dance with it, but when he dips the trophy, it breaks. Show tries to kicks the broken part out of the ring so Swagger doesn’t see it.

 

Swagger starts to cry and then he kicks and punches Show and puts him in a front face lock. Show pushes Swagger off and then Swagger goes to the floor. Show grabs another trophy and breaks it over his knee. Show breaks another trophy and then he breaks a few more. Show turns his attention to some of the other awards and breaks them as well. Show takes Swagger’s football and he puts it into the crowd. Show takes one of the photos and knocks it into the outfield with the baseball bat. Show is about to do the same to Swagger’s photo with Bob Stoops and Jack tells him not to do it to Bob. Show doesn’t care and then once he is finished, he breaks the bat. Swagger begs for Show to leave something intact, but Show breaks some more stuff.

 

Show grabs the World Title belt and he holds it over his head.

We are back and Rosa Mendes is supposed to wrestle the Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, but Vickie Guerrero comes out to excuse herself. Vickie tells Rosa that she needs to leave the ring. Vickie says that as the General Manager of Raw and Official Consultant on Smackdown, that Michelle McCool has invoked her rematch clause tonight. Vickie says to make things interesting, it will be done in a two on one handicap match.

 

Match Number Four: Beth Phoenix versus Layla and Michelle McCool for the Women’s Title

 

Michelle with a kick and forearm to Beth and then she applies a side head lock. Beth with a shoulder tackle to Michelle followed by a clothesline to Layla. Michelle clips Beth and then she kicks Beth in the injured knee. Beth fights off Michelle and Layla until it turns into a two-on-one situation as they both work on the leg. Michelle uses the ropes for more damage. Michelle with a head scissors but Beth kicks Layla away and then she gets Layla and Michelle up for a double Samoan drop but Beth appears to have further injured her knee. Beth gets a near fall on Layla when Beth breaks up the cover. Beth with an Irish whip and then Michelle and Beth collide and both go down. Michelle rolls to the floor and Layla gets the three count on Beth.

 

Winner: Layla

 

After the match, Layla celebrates with Vickie and Michelle.

Match Number Five: Kane versus Chavo Guerrero

 

Kane tries for a choke slam but Chavo escapes. Chavo with punches and kicks to Kane. Kane sends Chavo over the top rope when Kane blocks an Irish whip attempt. Chavo drops Kane’s arm on the top rope and then he goes up top but Kane with an uppercut and Chavo goes to the floor. Chavo with a drop kick as Kane tries to re-enter the ring. Chavo with kicks but Kane with an uppercut. Kane catches Chavo off the turnbuckles and hits a choke slam for the three count.

 

Winner: Kane

We are back and Todd and Matt talk about what happened earlier in the show when we thought that Kofi Kingston won the Intercontinental Title. However, before the celebration could start in Prince Nana’s many mansions, Drew McIntyre came out to rain on Kofi’s parade and he used the power of being the Chosen One Version 2010 to get his title back as well as return to the Smackdown roster.

 

Drew goes into Teddy Long’s office and Teddy tells Drew that he really is the chosen one since he ran to the boss to get his job and title back. Teddy says that he cannot take anything away from Drew so he is going to give him something. Teddy gives Drew a match for next week because he will be wrestling the Big Show.

 

It is time to run through the card for Over the Limit.

 

Match Number Six: CM Punk versus Rey Mysterio

 

Punk with a back kick and another series of kicks before he goes to forearms and then he sends Rey into the ropes but Rey with kicks to Punk. Punk with a kick to Rey’s head and Rey backs into the corner. Punk with a forearm to Rey’s head but Rey with a kick and then he sends Punk to the floor with a head scissors. Rey misses a splash from the apron and Punk sends Rey into the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.

 

We are back and Punk has Rey in a surfboard but Rey with kicks to the head to escape. Rey with a kick and forearm to Punk followed by shoulders. Rey with a drop toe hold that sends a charging Punk into the turnbuckles. Rey goes for a move from the turnbuckles but Punk kicks Rey and Rey gets caught in the tree of woe. Punk gets a near fall. Punk with an abdominal stretch on Rey and then he lets go as Rey struggles to get up. Rey with a drop toe hold and Punk falls into the ropes but Punk recovers and then he tries for a tilt-a-whirl move but Rey lands on his feet. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope and the referee starts his count. Punk goes out after Rey and he kicks Rey in the chest. Punk sends Rey back into the ring and then Punk sets for the springboard clothesline and he hits it and gets a near fall. Punk with a key lock but Rey with kicks to get out of the hold. Punk with a kick to Rey but Rey with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position and both men are down. Punk with an Irish whip but Rey gets his feet up when Punk charges. Rey with a seated splash from the turnbuckles but Punk with a leg lariat and he gets a near fall. Punk catapults Rey to the turnbuckles but Rey lands on the turnbuckles and then he sends Punk into the ropes with a head scissors.

 

Rey starts the 619 but he sees Luke Gallows at ringside and he hits a baseball slide instead. Punk uses that distraction to get a near fall with a rollup. Rey with a roundhouse kick to the head and Punk falls into the ropes. Rey hits the 619 and the diving splash from the ropes but a hooded person enters the ring and Rey goes after that person. Rey is about to hit the person and the hood comes off and it is Serena. Rey is shocked at the development and that allows the usual hooded person to enter the ring and hit Rey from behind, forcing the referee to call for the bell.

 

Winner: Rey Mysterio by disqualification

 

After the match, the hooded person hits a swinging neck breaker before Luke picks up Rey and hits the spinebuster power slam. Punk crawls over to Rey and then he holds out his arms for Luke and unnamed Straight Edge Society member to put Rey on his shoulders and Punk hits the Go To Sleep. Punk puts Rey’s hand on his chest and holds Rey’s hand up as Punk salutes the Straight Edge Society.
