1938 - Sammy Stein defeats Lobo Negro for the World Lightweight Title in Mexico City, Mexico.

1950 - Lord Finis Hall defeats Jack Kennedy to win the Georgia version of the NWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Atlanta, Georgia.

1952 - Ed Francis defeats Joe Scarpello to win the Midwest Wrestling Association Junior Heavyweight Title in Huntington, West Virginia.

1956 - Nicoli & Boris Volkoff defeat Reggie & Stan Lisowski to win the Chicago version of the NWA World Tag Team Title in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

1960 - Nikita Mulkovich wins the Amarillo version of the NWA North American Heavyweight Title from Pancho Lopez in Amarillo, Texas, beginning and ending each man's respective second reign.

1961 - Tiny Mills & Jack Daniels win a tournament to win the Stampede International Tag Team Title in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

1965 - Giant Baba defeats Dick the Bruiser to win the vacant NWA International Heavyweight Title in Osaka, Japan.

1965 - The Mysterious Medics defeat Ken and Chris Lucas to win the Gulf Coast version of the NWA Southern Tag Team Title in Mobile, Alabama, beginning The Medics' 10th reign and ending the Lucas' second.

1965 - Hiro Matsuda & Dick Steinborn defeat Kurt & Skull Von Stroheim for the Florida version of the NWA World Tag Team Title in Tampa, Florida.

1970 - Bob Armstrong & Paul DeMarco defeat Buddy Colt and Skandor Akbar to win the NWA Macon Tag Team Title in Macon, Georgia.

1972 - Omar Atlas defeats Harley Race for the NWA Central States Heavyweight Title in St. Joseph, Missouri, ending Race's third reign.

1975 - Pat & Mike Kelly defeat Dale Lewis and Siegfried Steinke for the Vancouver version of the NWA Canadian Tag Team Title in Vancouver, British Columbia.

1979 - The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes) defeat Bill Watts & Buck Robley for the Mid-South Tag Team Title in Shreveport, Louisiana.

1979 - Bad Leroy Brown defeats Sweet Brown Sugar (Skip Young) to win the Florida version of the NWA Southern Heavyweight Title in St. Petersburg, Florida.

1979 - Invaders I & II win their second WWC Tag Team Title, defeating Terry and Dory Funk, Jr. in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. At the same show, Dick Steinborn wins the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Title for the third time, defeating Jose Rivera.

1980 - Ric Flair defeats Greg Valentine in Greenville, North Carolina to win the Toronto version of the NWA United States Heavyweight Title, beginning his fourth reign.

1980 - Guy Mitchell & Roger Kirby defeat Ken Lucas & Ricky Morton to win the AWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee.

1983 - Chris Adams defeats Jimmy Garvin to win the WCCW American Heavyweight Title in Dallas, Texas.

1983 - The very first Starrcade was held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The show was also aired via closed circuit television in other locations. Here are the results of the show, which was nicknamed "A Flair For The Gold":
- The Assassins defeated Rufus R Jones & Bugsy McGraw when Assassin #1 pinned McGraw with a rollup.
- Kevin Sullivan & Mark Lewin defeated Scott McGhee & Johnny Weaver when Lewin pinned Weaver.
- Abdullah the Butcher defeated Carlos Colon.
- Dick Slater & Bob Orton, Jr. defeated Mark Youngblood & Wahoo McDaniel when Orton pinned Youngblood with a superplex.
- Charlie Brown (Jimmy Valiant under a mask) defeated The Great Kabuki in a No DQ, No Time Limit match to win the Mid-Atlantic Title with an elbowdrop.
- Roddy Piper defeated Greg Valentine in a Dog Collar Chain match by hitting Valentine with the chain and then covering him while using the chain to hook Valentine's legs.
- Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood defeated Jack & Jerry Brisco in a No DQ match to win the NWA World Tag Team Title when Youngblood pinned Jerry after Steamboat press slammed Youngblood onto him. Angelo Mosca was the special referee.
- Ric Flair defeated Harley Race in a Steel Cage match to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title with a flying bodypress off the top rope. Gene Kiniski was the special referee.

1988 - WWF Survivor Series was held in Richfield, Ohio at the Richfield Coliseum, headlined by Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage winning the main event Survivor match. Click here for complete reports on every Survivor Series event. 

1988 - Jeff Jarrett defeats Eric Embry to win the WCWA Light Heavyweight Title in Jackson, Tennessee. This ended Embrys' third reign and began Jarrett's second.

1988 - Ron Garvin defeats Carlos Colon for the vacant WWC Universal Heavyweight Title in Carolina, Puerto Rico. On the same show, Ricky Santana defeats Bobby Jaggers for the WWC Puerto Rican Heavyweight Title, beginning his second reign.

1990 - Jeff Jarrett & Cody Michaels defeat Doug Gilbert & Tony Anthony for the USWA Tag Team Title in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

1993 - WWF Survivor Series was held in Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Garden. The show was headlined by Lex Luger winning a Survivor match, but is better remembered for planting the seeds of the Bret Hart-Owen Hart split. The show also saw a Smoky Mountain Tag Team Title change, as The Heavenly Bodies defeated The Rock N' Roll Express. It was also Bobby Heenan's last WWF PPV appearance. 1996 - WCW World War 3 was held in Norfolk, Virginia at The Scope. Here are the results:
- J Crown Champion Ultimo Dragon defeated Rey Mysterio, Jr.
- Chris Jericho defeated Nick Patrick. Jericho had to wrestle the match with one hand tied behind his back.
- The Giant defeated Jeff Jarrett.
- Harlem Heat defeated Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Oulette when Booker T pinned Oulette.
- Sherri Martel defeated Robert Parker via countout.
- WCW Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko defeated Psicosis.
- WCW World Tag Team Champions Scott Hall & Kevin Nash defeated The Faces Of Fear and The Nasty Boys in a Triangle match.
- The Giant won the 60 man, three-ring, World War 3 battle royal. 1996 - Professor Maxwell defeats Terry Richards (Rhino) to win the Border City Wrestling Unified Television Title in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

1997 - The Monday Night Wars continued, with RAW is WAR posting a 3.0 rating with its show, which featured The New Age Outlaws winning their first of five WWF Tag Team Titles, defeating The Legion of Doom. WCW Monday Nitro beat RAW with a 3.9 rating on their show, which featured The Giant defeating WCW World Champion Hollywood Hulk Hogan, by disqualification.

1997 - Masakazu Fukuda & Hiroyoshi Kotsubo defeat Yuji Yasuraoka & Tomohiro Ishii to win the vacant WAR International Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title in Yokohama, Japan.

1998 - The Lords of the Ring (Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway) win their sixth OVW Southern Tag Team Title, defeating The Andretti Express (Vito & Guido) in Louisville, Kentucky.

2000 - Necro Butcher wins his fourth NWA Texas Hardcore Title, defeating Mr. Mayhem in North Richland Hills, Texas.

2001 - Super Crazy wins the IWA Hardcore Title from Anarchy in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, beginning his fifth reign. At the same show, Pain & Tiger Ali Singh defeat Los Boricuas (Jesus Castillo, Jr. & Miguel Perez, Jr.)

2001 - Invader I wins the WWC Puerto Rican Heavyweight Title for the 12th time, defeating Jungle Jim Steele in Caguas, Puerto Rico. At the same show, Eddie Colon defeats Justin Sane for the WWC Junior Heavyweight Title, and Thunder and Lightning defeat Super Gladiator and El Bronco for the WWC Tag Team Title, beginning their fifth reign.

2001 - Miracleman & Azteca defeat Takehiro Murahama & Monster Zeta Mandora in Osaka, Japan to win the Osaka Pro Wrestling Tag Team Title.

2003 - Fang & Crow defeat The Bloody & Yumi Ouka to win the Trans-World Wrestling Federation Women's Tag Team Title in Kawasaki, Japan.

2004 - Shouichi Ichimiya wins the Dramatic Dream Team Ironman Heavymetalweight Title for the 15th time in Aichi, Japan, ending the 12th reign of Danshoku Dino.
