1928 - Ed "Strangler" Lewis defeats Wayne Munn for the Michigan and Illinois version of the World Heavyweight Title in Michigan City, Indiana.

1939 - Lou Plummer defeats Sandor Szabo to win the San Francisco Pacific Coast Heavyweight Title in Salinas, California, ending Szabo's fifth reign.

1949 - Rube Wright defeats Albert Mills to win the Montana State Heavyweight Title in Great Falls, Montana.

1950 - Genichiro Tenryu (real name Genichiro Shimada) is born in Katsuyama, Fukui, Japan.

1956 - Gene Stanlee defeats Bill Miller for the Ohio Heavyweight Title in Columbus, Ohio.

1957 - Ed Francis and Henry Lenz defeat Red Bastien and Roy Heffernan to win the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Title.

1969 - Ken Lucas and Johnny Walker defeat The Mighty Yankees (Frank Morrell and Eddie Sullivan) for the Mid-America NWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee, ending the Yankees' third reign.

1970 - Raul Reyes defeats El Goliath for the Mexican National Heavyweight Title in Monterrey, Mexico.

1971 - Kintaro Ohki wins the JWA All Asia Heavyweight Title for the second time in Hiroshima, Japan, defeating Bill Dromo.

1973 - Fred Curry and Tony Marino defeat Kurt Von Hess and Karl Von Shotz to win the Detroit NWA World Tag Team Title in Detroit, Michigan. This began and ended both teams' second reigns.

1973 - Mariko Akagi and Jumbo Miyamoto defeat Masked Lee and Princess War Star to win the WWWA World Tag Team Title in Okayama, Japan.

1997 - Tiger Jeet Singh and Umanosuke Ueda defeat Strong Kobayashi and Seiji Sakaguchi for the New Japan version of the NWA North American Tag Team Title in Osaka, Japan.

1978 - Dory Funk, Jr. and Larry Lane win the NWA Western States Tag Team Title from Brute Bernard and Frank Morrell in Amarillo, Texas.

1981 - The Bounty Hunters (David and Jerry Novak) defeat Bill Dundee and Tommy Rich for the AWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning their fifth reign.

1986 - Jim Crockett Promotions held "Superstars on the Superstation" at The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The show aired on February 7 on TBS, with a 3.2 rating. The results:
Dark matches:
- Ron Bass and The Barbarian fought to a draw.
- Baron Von Raschke defeated The Italian Stallion.
- Jimmy Valiant defeated NWA World Television and National Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson by disqualification.
Televised matches:
- The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton) defeated NWA World Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton), when Eaton pinned Morton, to win the title. This ended Rock 'n' Roll's second reign.
- The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) defeated Ivan and Nikita Koloff by disqualification.
- NWA National Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes fought Tully Blanchard to a 20-minute time-limit draw to retain the title.
- NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair pinned Ron Garvin to retain the title.

1987 - The World Class Wrestling Association held a Wrestling Star Wars event at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The results:
- Steve Simpson defeated Roberto Soto.
- The Dingo Warrior defeated WCWA Texas Heavyweight Champion Bob Bradley to win the title.
- Matt Borne defeated Scott Casey.
- Red River Jack defeated Killer Tim Brooks.
- David Manning defeated Gary Hart.
- WCWA Heavyweight and Six-Man Tag Team Champion Kevin Von Erich defeated WCWA Tag Team Champion Al Madril to retain the Heavyweight title.
- Abdullah the Butcher defeated Tony Atlas by countout.
- The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers) and The Rock 'n' Roll RPMs (Mike Davis and Tommy Lane) fought to a double-countout.
- Kerry Von Erich defeated WCWA Tag Team Champion Brian Adias.

1987 - The Continental Wrestling Association held a 14-man tournament for the vacant AWA Southern Heavyweight Title at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee. The title had been vacated on January 11 after Jerry Lawler was injured, ending his 38th reign. The results were:
First round:
- Austin Idol defeated Billy Travis.
- Jeff Jarrett defeated Boy Tony.
- Big Bubba defeated Tracy Smothers.
- Soul Train Jones defeated Tommy Rich.
- Hunter defeated Paul Diamond.
- Goliath defeated Pat Tanaka.
- Alan West defeated Tarzan Goto.
Second round:
- Jeff Jarrett defeated Big Bubba.
- Soul Train Jones defeated Hunter.
- Goliath defeated Alan West.
Semifinals:
- Austin Idol defeated Jeff Jarrett.
- Soul Train Jones defeated Goliath.
Non-tournament match:
- The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn and Stan Lane) and The Sheepherders (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) ended in a double-countout.
Finals:
- Austin Idol defeated Soul Train Jones to win the vacant AWA Southern Heavyweight Title, beginning his second reign.

1989 - The World Wrestling Association and All Japan Pro Wrestling held a joint event at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, entitled "International Bash". The results:
- Rick McCord defeated Bobby Jaggers.
- Tiger Mask (Mitsuharu Misawa) pinned Tommy Sharpe.
- Dory Funk, Jr. and Terry Funk defeated Doug Somers and Gary Young, when Terry made Young submit.
- Genichiro Tenryu pinned Bill Irwin.
- Akio Sato pinned Curtis Hughes.
- The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid) and The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton) fought to a 30-minute time-limit draw. The guest referee for the match was Pat O'Connor.
- Jumbo Tsuruta and Yoshiaki Yatsu defeated AJPW Unified World Tag Team Champions Terry Gordy and Stan Hansen. This ended Gordy and Hansen's second reign and began Tsuruta and Yatsu's fourth.
- WWA World Heavyweight Champion Mike George defeated Stevie Ray by countout to retain the title.

1991 - Carlos Colón defeats Greg Valentine to win the held up WWC Universal Heavyweight Title in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, beginning his 11th reign. The title had been held up after a match between them on December 15, also in Bayamón.

1991 - Brad Anderson and The Hood (Ricky Santana) defeat The Wrecking Crew (The Equalizer and The Grappler) to win the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Title in Portland, Oregon.

1992 - Dos Caras wins his third UWA World Heavyweight Title from Canek in Naucalpan, Mexico, ending Canek's 10th reign.

1995 - Vance Nevada defeats Mr. Torture for the Canadian Junior Heavyweight Title in Miami, Manitoba.

1996 - Konnan defeats Killer in Queretearo, Mexico to become the first AAA Americas Heavyweight Champion.

1999 - Rod Steele ends Rip Rogers' third OVW Heavyweight Title reign in Louisville, Kentucky. At the same event, David C. and Damaja defeat The Lords of the Ring (Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore) for the OVW Southern Tag Team Title, ending Conway and Dinsmore's seventh reign and beginning David and Damaja's second.

1999 - Harry Palmer defeats BDL for the IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Title in Louisville, Kentucky, to begin his second reign. At the same show, The IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title is vacated, following a double pin in a match between champion The Suicide Kid and Chip Fairway. This ended Suicide Kid's second reign.

2001 - Gary Tool defeats Hotstuff Hernandez to win the NWA Texas Heavyweight Title in North Richland Hills, Texas.

2002 - Rocky Reynolds defeats Jason Rumble in Titusville, Pennsylvania for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title, beginning his second reign.

2002 - Jersey All-Pro Wrestling holds the Russ Haas Memorial Show at Charity Hall in Bayonne, New Jersey. It was JAPW's first event after the December 15 death of Russ Haas. The results:
- Ghost Shadow and Jay Lethal defeated Deranged and Rainchild.
- NWA Virginia Heavyweight Champion Jacey North defeated Chino Martinez to retain the title.
- Seijin Akki defeated Crazy Ivan.
- J.T. Jobber defeated Katarina Heiss.
- Slyck Wagner Brown defeated Striker.
- The Big Unit defeated Don Montoya and Mike Quackenbush in a three-way match.
- The Boogie Knights (Danny Drake and Mike Tobin) defeated Ric Blade and Elax.
- Kid Kruel defeated Low Ki.
- Charlie Haas defeated Crowbar and Simon Diamond in a three-way match.
- JAPW Tag Team Champions Da Hit Squad (Mafia and Monsta Mack) defeated The Shane Brothers to retain the title.
- JAPW New Jersey State Champion Dixie defeated JAPW Heavyweight Champion Homicide and JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion The Insane Dragon in a three-way match to leave with all three titles. After this match, the New Jersey State title was retired, but would return in 2006 when the Light Heavyweight title was retired.

2002 - Lobo defeats Fujita to win the IWA World Junior Heavyweight Title in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, beginning his second reign. Also, Huracán Castillo, Jr. wins the IWA World Hardcore Title for the second time, by defeating Agente Bruno and champion Super Crazy in a three-way match, ending Super Crazy's sixth reign. Crazy would win the title right back, to begin his seventh reign.

2003 - Kyoko Inoue defeats Yoshiko Tamura for the NWA Pacific Women's Title in Tokyo, Japan, beginning her second reign and ending Tamura's third.

2005 - Bull Buchanan and Rico defeat Mitsuya Nagai and Masayuki Naruse for the AJPW All Asia Tag Team Title in Tokyo, Japan. They vacated the title on May 27 when Rico retired.

2005 - El Diamante and Diamante Dominicano defeat Huracán Castillo, Jr. and Chicky Starr to win the WWC World Tag Team Title in Caguas, Puerto Rico, ending Castillo and Starr's third reign.

2007 - Brian Milonas defeats Thomas Penmanship to win the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Title in Lowell, Massachusetts.

2007 - Shane Hollister defeats Marek Brave for the NWA Iowa Heavyweight Title in Fairfield, Iowa.

2007 - Kamikaze Kid and El Suico defeated Chris Escobar & Alex Sage, Mike Vaughn & Chris Dramin and HorrorShow & The Evil Clown to win the vacant NWA Virginia Tag Team Title in Saluda, Virginia.
