The 11/6 edition of Smackdown opens with GUNTHER coming to the ring for a promo in street clothes. He asked if anyone really thought he was scared on Halloween Smackdown. He wasnt. He was freaked out and was doing everyone a favor taking out that freak show. He said Finn Balor's career is hanging by a thread so he should just quit and give it up tonight. Instead of getting better and fixing his career, Balor became friends with Danhausen and played along with all his bullshit. He has disgraced himself. He challenged Balor, the real Balor to come confront him as a man. Balor came to the ring. He said there are no smoke and mirrors, just a Demon waiting to come out and he's done waiting. They brawled. Balor was thrown from the top into the ring but made a comeback, leading to GUNTHER leaving the ring. They had a staredown. GUNTHER backed up the aisle.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are calling the show. Alicia Taylor is ring announcing.
*WWE Tag Team Champion Tama Tonga was defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura with the Kinshasa. Kyoki had shenanigans on the outside with Haku and Talla Tonga before the finish.
*WWE Women's Tag Team Champions B-Fab and Michin vs. Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. Tatum Paxley showed up and hit a body press on Jade Cargill. Everyone brawled. Bayley, then Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss hit the scene. Flair battled with Jade. The babyfaces cleared the ring. This appeared to set up the women's Wargames at Survivor Series, but we'll see if that is the case.
*Smackdown GM Nick Aldis discussed Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel "tomorrow." Aldis said he wanted to tell Green he respects the hell out of her and he is proud she is representing Smackdown and is WWE Women's Champion. Green said that a few months ago, she said it didnt matter what people thought about us, it only matters what we think of us. She admitted that she's only human and sometimes doesn't believe in herself. She is taking what Liv Morgan is saying to heart. She hears it and reads it and sometimes she says it too. He fights the urge to doubt herself every time. She looks at the title and questions whether she deserves it. Aldis told her to listen to the people because she deserves it. The fans chanted for her. She asked if her name belongs next to those who came before her. She wants to leave a real legacy and she has to beat Liv tomorrow to do that. If she beats Liv, she's not a fluke. She deserves to be here. Liv Morgan came out. She said they don't give out participation trophies. Rhea got hurt and Chelsea got lucky. She said everyone sees a talentless person and tells her she is a charity case. She said that tomorrow she will prove that all the doubting voices in Green's head are true...and Liv will be the greatest women's Champion of all time.
Byron Saxton interviewed Trick Williams backstage. He said he was expecting to be champ going into Crown Jewel but it's not the end of his story. They asked him about Damian Priest. He said hes going to show everyone who he is.
*Fraxiom's Nate Frazer lost to Damian Priest when the referee ruled Frazier "could not continue" after he was smashed into and over the announcers' table.. Axiom got involved but was smashed into the ring post and left for dead.
*WWE Champion Sami Zayn came out. He wanted to know who came to ride or Die with the last Real Good Guy. Roman said he wouldn't be shocked if Sami wasn't champion by Crown Jewel but he's a survivor and he survived all the way through defending his title on Raw and Smackdown. He said he will never be overlooked again by anyone, not even Roman Reigns. He was looking up at Sami when Raw went off the air. Jimmy Uso came out and said Sami was his guy. They are at war with 946 and what did Sami do? He attacked Roman. Family, eh? Sami said he understands why he's upset. He said they are family. In a different world they would be standing together fighting the 946 but in this world, he is the WWE Champion. He thought Jimmy would understand. Jimmy was the first to accept him and Jimmy always pulled the trigger first. Jimmy said he did what he had to do. Sami said he is doing the same to get the respect he deserves. Jimmy said he made it personal and now he has Roman's attention. He said Sami is going to catch a beating at Crown Jewel and get his ass beat. Zayn was happy saying he finally got what he wanted, Roman's full attention. If Roman wants to kick his ass, good. He will see Roman then...946 attacked Jimmy from the crowd as Sami was leaving the ring. He stood on the apron not getting involved and waited, then walked off. They all kept beating down Jimmy before playing to the cameras. The idea was Jimmy came alone, so he was left to be prey and his "family" Sami didn't help at all.
Kevin Owens vs. CM Punk. No Holds Barred. Dueling chants. They brawled through the arena and Punk was sent into one of the cameramen. They battled back to ringside. Punk was knocked onto the ring steps. Owens set up several tables but Punk cracked him with a chair. Weapons tossed in ring. Owens placed trash can over Punk and hit him with a cannonball in corner. He smashed Punk with the can. Punk came back to slam Owens onto the can. They fought in the aisle up to the entrance. Punk hit the GTS. With Owens out, Punk placed him on a cart to bring back to the ring and slammed it and Owens into the ring. He nailed a flying elbow into the ring for a two count. He locked on the Amaconda Vise. Owens fought back but was hit with a DDT on a chair. Punk brought a ton of chairs into the ring. He went to the top but Owens went to the floor. Owens was put on the table. Punk came off the guard rail with an elbow, smashing Owens through. Punk wrapped a steel chain around his knee. He went to do a GTS but Owens blocked and headbutt him. Owens hit a swanton off the top for a two. He drilled Punk with a chair and then drove it into him. He set up a series of chairs and then prepared Punk for a superplex. Punk blocked it and they battled to the floor. Punk was put on the tables outside but escaped and they battled. Owens was slammed off the top through the chairs but kicked up. Owens hit a fisherman's buster off the apron through the tables to the floor. Owens nailed a stunner but Punk kicked out. Owens grabbed the chain, was hit with a GTS, bounced into the ropes and as he came forward, decked Punk with the chain for the pin. This was a great brawl and got the largest sustained reaction of any match on the Smackdown taping.
After they went off the air, Punk sold for a looong, long time before being held up and walked out by the referees.
