By Adam Cardoza on 2026-10-28 21:21:00

Wrestling Open RI

10/26/26 Cranston, RI

Spotlight Match: Richard Adonis vs Josh Guzman

Guzman is wearing some Invincible cosplay in his gear and Adonis looks to put that to the test. Adonis gives a lot of punishment, Guzman with the rally and almost takes it with a showstopper…but then Adonis staggers him and hits a hammerlock back drop for the win!

Match 1: Anthony Vecchio vs Aaron Rourke

Vecchio says that his mentor let him down and he’s looking for a receipt on the Dimepiece. Rourke is ready to teach Vecchio a lesson that he may have forgotten about being humble. Rourke has to chase the kid down, Vecchio keeps running for cover and acting like Rourke won’t fight him. Rourke takes him out and gets hands on the “Astonishing” one. This turns into a brawl on the floor, Vecchio posts Rourke but can’t get the three. Vecchio tries a straight jacket stretch. Rourke trying to stay ahead but slides right into a hangman’s ddt. Rourke throws hands and gets German’d into the buckles. Vecchio yelling that he’s better than Rourke now….and he’s really trying to make a case for it. Rourke starts landing some big spinning kicks, a double knee in the corner and a gory bomb into the buckles! Vecchio and Rourke trading shots back and forth as we hit a minute left! Rourke with a huge popup bomb only gets a two! Vecchio rolls away right after Rourke hits the Molly Go Round…and right then time expires. The crowd wants five more minutes…Vecchio is happy to take the time limit draw instead of the L, clearly. This was very good. Rourke leaves frustrated.

All Go Nelli is out here. You know what’s about to happen.

Match 2: All Go Nelli vs Dustin Waller

Dustin attacks immediately and drops Nelli with a slingshot clothesline. Nelli screaming for his back as Waller sends him flying into the buckles over and over. Waller sending a message to Bobby Orlando and Ryan O’Neill. Nelli hits a tornado ddt! Waller superkicks him as he runs in and hits a running shooting star press for the win.

Waller wants the mic. He says if Bobby or Ryan ever get involved in his business again….hes hurting them. But he also makes a point to remind everyone that he has that Opportunity Knocks contract…

Anthony Greene is out here to talk about Bobby Casale. We like both these guys but StarStruck getting involved in last week’s tag title match inadvertently caused Danny Miles & Bobby Casale to lose those belts. Bobby in particular ate a belt shot from Greene intended for Vinny Scalise. Greene does grab the mic and says he tried to help against the Verdict and their cheating….and he legit wants to apologize to Casale. Bobby says he doesn’t care what Greene intended…they COST HIM THE TITLE. Bobby says he’s ready to fight AG tonight but Greene doesn’t really want this. RAIN CONWAY COMES OUT AND WANTS A PIECE. Casale laughs and is happy to oblige.

Match 3: Bobby Casale vs Rain Conway

Greene hops on commentary as Bobby beats the heck out of an overeager Conway.  He almost gets the tap on a cross armbreaker. The longer this match goes, the more it starts to favor Conway, who is working Bobby’s leg to the point that it folds out from underneath him on a kick. Bobby decides kicking WITH the hurt leg is preferably to kicking ON the hurt leg. As expected, it still hurts. Conway trying to grapple his way out of danger but Casale hoists Rain up and hits the Bobbinator for the three!

Bobby is limping but he’s calling out AG for a second match. Greene says he wants Casale at 100% and leaves.

Match 4: Oxx Adams (w/ BRG) vs Dutch

Oxx gets right in Dutch’s face for this battle of the big men that is weeks in the making. Big Kaiju shits back and forth before it goes to the floor. BRG provides a distraction as Oxx pummels Dutch on the floor. Back in the ring, he targets the knee and ankle. BRG gets a few shots in on it before Oxx wraps it on the post. The big man struggles to his feet as Oxx pretends like this wasn’t part of the plan. Oxx wants that Iron Claw he debuted at OVW over the weekend…but Dutch can’t stand. Adams puts on an ankle lock! Dutch flips free! Oxx eats the buckles! Black hole slam out of the corner! Both guys are down but Dutch struggles to get some life in that battered limb. Dutch with a head scissor takes Oxx down. BRG with the distraction again and this time Oxx gets the claw in and hits an iron claw slam for the three!

BRG takes too long gloating as Oxx leaves…Dutch catches him with a black hole slam to make the crowd feel better about this result.

Match 5: Kylie Alexa & Paris Van Dale vs Liviyah & Nessa Ferrari

Nessa got a shot at Kylie’s title very early into her run with us (and probably before she was READY for that match) but I think she’s slowly turning into the kind of threat that COULD take the title next time she gets a shot. There’s not much story to tell here beyond the Mean Girls fighting some crowd faves (tho tbh, half the crowd loves Kylie too). Kylie and Laris have some miscommunications and Kylie eats a TKO for a near fall. Liv looks DOA but gets to Nessa. Kylie eats a codebreaker but gets to Paris. Paris ALSO eats a codebreaker from Nessa…and she stays down for the three!

Liv says the number one contenders rumble was delayed for a week but next Monday? She’s winning it and coming for Kylie’s belt. Is she?

Main Event: Bear Bronson(c) vs Devin Reno (Steel Corners Match for the Wrestling Open Championship)

Devin Reno held the Open Championship high last time he faced Bear Bronson…but this time, it can’t be pulled away on a technicality (such as BLATANT CHEATING). They test each other’s strength and resolve to not taste the steel. Devin baseball slides under the rope after Bronson whips him hard. Bear chases him down to the front row for a pummeling of hard chops. Big slams back in the ring. Bear goes for a body splash, Reno ducks….BRONSON TASTES THE EXPOSED CORNER! Reno digs in on Bear as the crowd hates on him. Bronson whipped into the corner again. Devin WANTS that head shot to close this out but Bronson won’t let that happen. Whip reversal and Devin eats the corner chest first! Bear rallies with wild lariats! Huge black hole slam! The body attack connects. Chokebomb for two! He tries a ten punch but Bronson whiffs and tag the corner! Reno sweeps the leg and Bronson crashes into the metal again. Reno screaming that the belt has been his this whole time…and the punch he throws fires the champ into action. Devin popped up and eats the corner! Bear picks him up and the Fire Thunder Driver puts Devin Reno down cold for the three! Bronson retains for the 10th time!
