WWE, MONTEZ FORD SUED OVER WWE RAW 'LAPDANCE'

By Mike Johnson on 2026-10-16 08:45:00

PostWrestling.com in Canada reported yesterday that Cook County Sheriff’s officer Noel Lucas is suing WWE, Montez Ford of the Street Profits tag team and WWE subsidiary Event Services, LLC, over an alleged unwanted sexualized dance during the 7/6 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, which was broadcast from the Chicago area at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Lucas was working off-duty security when, according to the lawsuit, Ford approached him during the Street Profits’ entrance and performed a sexually suggestive dance (embedded above) involving hip thrusts and gyrating without his consent.  Lucas alleges that footage of the incident spread widely across social media, including on WWE’s and Ford’s accounts, making him recognizable to the public. He also alleges that when he returned to his full-time courthouse job the next day, people recognized and mocked him by imitating the dance. He also alleges that his children were ridiculed at school because of the video, causing him significant humiliation, embarrassment, and emotional distress.

The lawsuit includes 14 counts, including assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, alleged violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act, and unlawful use of his image under the Illinois Right of Publicity Act. Lucas is seeking monetary and punitive damages, legal costs, and an order preventing WWE and Ford from using his identity.

Neither WWE nor Ford have responded to the lawsuit as of yesterday.

There is a case management hearing set for 12/10.
