The Real Maxx Payne's The Thing That Should Not Be - Behind-The Scenes Documentary Footage Thought To Be Lost For 30 Years Sees Official Updated Trailer Release & October 29 Shipping Date - Pre-Order Now!
Veteran wrestling broadcaster and producer Joe Dombrowski is proud to announce the completion and release of the "Holy Grail" of lost unseen pro wrestling content. Maxx Payne's (formerly known as Man Mountain Rock) camera footage has been the speculation of countless fans and even subject of conspiracy theories, but will finally be seen for the first time ever as part of a 5-disc set looking back at the year 1995.
Challenges of the day such as declining business, a wild party scene, backstage politics, and rigorous travel schedule are all explored through this documentary movie edited by Dombrowski and originally shot by Payne. It's accompanied by several full-length present-day interviews, including with Maxx, and also with others who are featured in the original 1995 footage, as they react and watch the footage themselves for the first time ever including Mark "Henry Godwinn" Canterbury, Shane Douglas, Carl "PCO" Ouellet, Tony Garea and more!

Full synopsis:
In October 1995, Maxx Payne was working for the largest wrestling company in the world. As he left for a grueling two-week tour throughout Europe, he did something unprecedented… he brought along his video camera. What followed was a real, raw, and rare look at life on the road during one of the most challenging times in the history of the wrestling business.
Over the years, trailers & teasers have been posted, but eventually many believed the full footage to be lost, destroyed, or simply kept under lock and key forever… until now.
Get an all-access pass to accompany the wrestlers to places once forbidden – tour buses, hotels, airports, backstage at the events, even walking to the ring. It’s a cross between an expose and the wrestling world’s first travel vlog, equal parts a nostalgic look at an era that no longer exists and a cautionary tale of the culture of the time.
See the pros and cons of pro wrestling, quite literally through the eyes and complex mind of Darryl “Maxx Payne” Peterson as he navigates attitudes, politics, long nights on the road, temptation of the dark side, and the rush of performing.
In a time when the industry was still insulated and protected, one man dared to document it all. But was he filming his dream job come-to-life or his own self-destruction?
“The Real Maxx Payne’s Thing That Should Not Be” features an all-star roster in candid, unscripted and never-before-seen footage including Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Owen Hart, Ted DiBiase, Bam Bam Bigelow, Sid, Shane Douglas, Bob Holly, Fatu, Rodney Anoa’i, Louie Spicolli, Henry Godwinn, Tony Garea, and many more!
