Hard to Kill 2024: TNA Knockouts Champion Trinity vs. Jordynne Grace.
It was finesse vs. power early on as they felt each other out. Trinity used her kicks to try and strike Grace without getting close enough for the challenger to grab. Grace finally caught her and slammed her down for a two count. Grace drilled her with a big right forearm and worked her over in the corner with some hard chops. Trinity had control but tossed to the floor and hit with a great looking dive. Back in the ring, Trinity was hit with a powerbomb, a knee to the face and an inside out powerbomb for a close two count. The story early on was that Grace's power might be too much for Trinity to handle.
Trinity fired up with strikes but was nailed and taken down with a clothesline. On the floor, Trinity was hit with the Juggernaut pumphandle slam. They battled to the floor and when they returned, Trinity nailed a series of knee to the chest. Grace dared her to hit harder but grabbed the leg. They fired back and forth with slaps and strikes. Trinity kicked her. Grace went down to her knees. Trinity nailed the split-legged moonsault for a two count.
Grace fired back with an elbow to the face and locked on a full nelson. Trinity was placed atop the ropes. Grace went for a superplex but Trinity nailed a heabutt and a kick to ward her off. Grace nailed a spinning backfist and nailed the muscle buster for a close two count. They battled on the mat with Grace trapped in Starstruck. Grace escaped but was nailed with the Rear View for a close near fall.
Trinity went to use the ropes to drive Grace's head into the mat but was backdropped over to the apron. They battled on the apron with Trinity using the ropes to drill Grace's face into the outside apron of the ring. The crowd chanted, "This is awesome." They battled back and forth. Trinity locked Starstruck in but Grace was able to power up. Trinity grabbed the ropes but was flung off into a German suplex. Grace nailed the spinning backfist and the Juggernaut Driver for the pin.
Your winner and new Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace!
Original PPV Thoughts: This was easily Trinity's best showing in TNA to date in my opinion. They had a hell of a match and Trinity did an incredible job of making Grace look like a lethal killer here. Excellent from bell to bell.
10/1 TNA Impact: Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander
They locked up, with Alexander immediately swiping Sosa’s legs out from under him. Sosa dodged a senton, but Alexander went after his eyes before catching him with a Codebreaker. Sosa fired back with a bridging slam, but Alexander escaped the cover. Sosa connected with a dropkick that sent Alexander crashing to the outside. Sosa followed him out, diving through the ropes and taking Alexander down. Alexander hit a suplex before driving Sosa into the corner with a splash. He followed with a slam to the mat and then tossed Sosa through the ropes to the floor. Alexander slid outside and chopped Sosa, but Sosa fought back. Alexander cut him off with a kick and sent him crashing into the steel steps.
Back inside the ring, Alexander tried to cover Sosa, but Sosa refused to stay down. Alexander attempted to wear him down, but Sosa fought back to his feet and hit a suplex of his own. Sosa followed with a neckbreaker out of the corner, but Alexander kicked out at two. Sosa attempted another suplex, but the two exchanged elbows instead. Alexander eventually hit a suplex, but Sosa remained alive, kicking out at two. Alexander went for the Lumbar Check, but Sosa blocked it and answered with a flurry of elbows. Alexander tried again, only for Sosa to catch him with a strike that sent him crashing to the mat. Sosa lined up Alexander for a headshot, but Bryan Myers and Bear Bonson came down to ringside with Alisha Edwards. Sosa dove onto all three of them, taking them out at ringside. However, Alisha climbed onto the apron to create a distraction, allowing Eddie Edwards to hit Sosa with a low blow. Alexander connected with the Lumbar Check and that was it.
Your winner, Cedric Alexander!
Hard to Kill 2023: Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander vs. Bully Ray- Full Metal Mayhem.
Ray made his entrance and then disappeared. He hid out somewhere and attacked Alexander with a steel chain from behind on the ramp. He grabbed the Impact title belt and smashed Alexander with it. He was busted open and beaten. Ray set up a table and powerbombed him through it for a two count right after the bell. Ray used a cheese grater. Alexander fired back and then drilled him with the grater. The crowd chanted for Alexander. Ray was now busted open.
Ray mauled Ray with the grater, busting him open even more. The crowd chanted, "You sick f***." Which? Alexander went under the ring for a bag of tacks. They battled up the aisle, where Alexander choked him with a chair and pulled a ladder over. Alexander climbed the ladder to perform a move but Ray recovered a tipped the ladder backwards towards the ring, with Alexander taking a big bump into the ring onto the tacks. Ouch!
Ray went for the Bully Bomb but Alexander blocked it. He nailed a German suplex into the tacks and even took his straps down. Alexander hit a rolling senton and grabbed the steel chain. He wrapped it around his knee and drilled Ray with a knee strike off the ropes. He locked in an anklelock with Ray on the tacks. He wrapped the chair around Ray's neck but John Skyler and Jason Hotch hit the ring and attacked him. They assisted Bully, helping him hit a 3D on the tacks but Josh kicked up. They ziptied Josh to the ropes but Tommy Dreamer came out and laid out Hotch and Skyler. He faced off with Ray, who wielded a trash can. Dreamer teased that he was aligning with Ray but instead smashed him with the trash can. Ray speared Dreamer through a table in the corner.
Alexander tried to bite his way though the ties but Ray told him to just give up. Alexander said he never would. Ray smashed him across the top of the head with the trash can. Alexander pulled himself up but Ray smashed him over the head again with the trash can. Bully was distracted by something. It was Alexander's wife, who hit the ring and told him to stop. Ray teased smashing her with the can but she dropped to her knees. He told her to beg him and that he wanted to see tears. He told her to hand over her wedding ring. She refused, so he was going to smash her, allowing himself to be nailed in the groin with a low blow. She nailed an Acid Drop on Ray.
Josh's wife cut him free from the zipties. She tossed a chair at Ray, who caught it and Josh smashed him with another one. Josh placed Ray atop a table and climbed to the top of a ladder. He nailed a MASSIVE frog splash through a table but Ray kicked out. Josh locked an anklelock and Ray held on but finally tapped.
Your winner and still Impact Wrestling Josh Alexander!
Original PPV Thoughts: A damn violent match with lots of twists and turns. It was a fitting blowoff to the storyline and felt very "ECW" in its structure, not just for the violence but for the emotional rollercoaster it put Alexander through.
Bear Bronson & Alisha Edwards vs. Gabby Forza & KC Navarro
Kazarian joined Brian Myers and Tom Hannifan on commentary.
Navarro knocked Bronson off his feet early. Alisha distracted him but KC still caught Bear with a superkick. Bear came back to nail a Black Hole Slam. This led to Tom asking about Abyss, who Kazarian said was a humble, sweet man.Alisha choked KC against the ropes. Bronson locked in a side headlock and ground KC to the mat. Navarro tried to fight out for the hot tag but was pulled back. KC nailed a DDT and finally made it. Alisha was woprked over by Forza who nailed a running splash in the corner and a powerslam for a two count. Alisha escaped a firefighter's carry and tagged Bear. Navarro nailed a missile dropkick on Bear, sending him to the floor. Forza pressed KC and tossed him to the floor atop of Bear. Fun spot. Bear still grabbed KC and ran him HARD into the steel ring steps.
Bear stepped to Forza (the two are married in real life) and slugged her. She exploded with offense, rocking him. He went for the chokebomb but she broke it and slammed Bear, which got a big reaction. She went for a F5 but Alisha attacked her. Forza speared Edwards. She went to suplex Bear but he pulled her into a Michinoku Driver for the pin.
Your winner, The System!
