Spotlight Match: Will Keidis vs Gabe Skye
THIS IS A WILD SPOTLIGHT MATCH. We give Keidis a LOT of s*** because we think he looks like Gomez Addams…but he can go. These two just GO FOR IT. Skye finally gets the tap out with a Texas cloverleaf after a stiff powerbomb. This was a blast…and also…Worcester is damn HERE tonight.
Match 1: Julius Draeger vs Bobby Casale
Welcome back Draeger! I’m sorry you have to come back and get killed by one of our tag team champs. Casale puts a HURT on Draeger, throwing him at will and cutting him down with a series of kicks. Casale overcommits and eats post…Draeger swarms like this is the only chance to win he has (it is). And then he slaps Bobby. Bad move. Casale fires back up and crushes Draeger with a Bobbinator for the three!
Kylon King is out here. He’s got a challenge for Bobby and Danny Miles…Miracle Generation is coming for their championships…starting at the number one contenders match next week at Wrestling Open 250!
Match 2: Allie Katch vs Katrina Creed (Wrestling Open Women’s Championship Number One Contenders Match)
Allie starts hot but Katrina rakes the eyes and tries to wear her opponent down. Katrina has Allie crumbled several times but can’t finish the job. Katch with a leapfrog dodge and cannonballs Creed in the corner. Creed tries a spear…Allie cracks her with a knee! Kick out! Creed sandbags the piledriver…she tries to brawl her way out of this. Spear off the second buckle! Allie kicks out! Piledriver connects! Allie is fighting for the title!
Match 3: Brick City (Victor Chase & Julio Cruz) vs Big Business (Big Bacon Brad Hollister & Love Doug)
It’s worth noting that everyone in this match is a Wrestling Open Worcester Ambassador. Brick City attacks during BB’s entrance…they brawl through the crowd before we officially start this contest! Julio drags Doug in to rip his eyes apart on the top rope. Brick City tries to keep the momentum but Doug tags to a VERY angry Bacon. Brick City weathers the storm and manages to isolate Doug again. Doug’s back is getting pummeled and it takes a LONG time for him to recover as Bacon takes them both on. Brad nearly pins Julio but Victor attacks with a literal brick and gets DQ’d. Doug tries to save his partner and eats a brick shot too. Brick City grabs a pair of scissors and CUTS DOUG’S PONYTAIL OFF! Bacon grabs the brick and chases them off. He demands another match. “No. We have nothing to prove.” Doug has something they want. Next week it’s HAIR VS HAIR. Doug or Julio. Who loses their locks?!?
It’s time for the Discovery Gauntlet! You gotta win it to stay in it!
Match 4: Peter Gianni vs Tiny Giant (Discovery Gauntlet)
Tiny Giant is the biggest small luchador and he’s gonna 86 the chef. Let’s be real: Gianni is very good. He’s also a huge jerk. TG flips and flies but Gianni quickly scouts this and starts beating his opponent down. TG with a basement dropkick and a shining wizard almost shocks the room. Gianni looking disoriented as TG picks up speed. Tiny Giant hits a Styles Bomb for the win and WHAT?!? Tiny Giant is coming back next week!
Match 5: The Breadwinners (Patrick Wheatman & Cash McGuinness) and Paris Van Dale (w/ 23 Hazard) vs The Vibe (Mani Ariez & Sammy Diaz) and Nessa Ferrari
I’m not gonna TRY to recap this. This match is a f***ing blast. Everyone in this match is just milking the crowd for everything they got. Everyone hates Hazard. Everyone loves the Vibe and Nessa. The Breadwinners elicit such a REACTION on both sides. Wildly hot contest. Sammy wipes out everyone to leave Nessa alone with Paris at her mercy….PETER GIANNI RUNS IN AND SUPERKICKS NESSA! He hits a brainbuster! Paris gets the three! Gianni celebrates with Hazard! Oh noooooooooooo….is Hazard starting some kind of parking lot bloodline?
Match 6: Jose Zamora vs Don Freeze
Zamora always claims to be aura farming…but Freeze seems to have the aura in Worcester. Zamora tries to take over but then Freeze catches him out of the air with a powerbomb! Zamora tries to fight off but Freeze smashes him again and hits a springboard high angle frog splash for the three! That was wild.
It’s time for the Mystery Partners main event! Who is coming out for TJ & Bear tonight? Truly, does TJ have any friends at this point? TJ says “The Takeover” is a one-man operation and he’ll go it alone. Cue Rain Conway. He admits he’s not the partner TJ wants…but he’s the one he NEEDS! Rain, after all, has that dog in him. The Wrestling Open champion is out here…who is in his corner???? ICHIBANNNN!
Main Event: TJ Crawford & Rain Conway vs Bear Bronson & Ichiban
This is another that is just a FUN watch. TJ wants a fight but “IchiBear” just beats the f***ing p*** out of Conway. TJ finally serves as a distraction so Rain can blindside Ichiban. The heels start getting their heat in. TJ is doing a great job at angering Worcester. Bear finally gets in there and destroys everyone! Ichiban off the top with a double dropkick! Crawford lands a headkick as Ichiban tries the Bankai…Besr goes for the kill…TK lands a silver bullet! Double slingshot stunner from Ichi! TJ pops him into a powerbomb from rain….kickout! Crawford avoids a 111! Spin out flapjack! Bear runs tj over! big slam to Conway! Crawford and Bronson wipe each other out trading shots on the apron. Rain tries the rainmaker…Ichibankai! Ichiban gets the three! Crawford runs in to attack but Jake Gray runs him off!
Gray had some words for TJ Crawford. We are all sick of how he’s attacking…and next week? At Open 250? Jake Gray is gonna get the job done on TJ Crawford.
