If Gunther doesn’t completely destroy Danhausen what’s the point?
That’s exactly why I wouldn’t have done it in the first place. If Gunther doesn’t destroy him, it hurts Gunther big time. He shouldn’t be involved in comedy. And if he does destroy Danhausen? Well, I guess it makes him even more of a heel but it also exposes Danhausen as a cos play wrestlers. I don’t think that’s wise for a guy that sells a lot of merch.
What did you think of AEW's Pac tribute show? In my 25-plus years as a pro wrestling fan, I don't think I've ever been as moved and saddened by a wrestling program as I was with that show.
I never rate tribute shows because I find doing that tacky. With that said, Tony Khan and AEW did a fantastic job paying tribute to a man that meant a lot to many, many people.
Does AEW offer mental health/grief counseling services for their talent and crew? I'd imagine it would be incredibly necessary after the last month that they've had.
I can’t say that they specifically offered them but I do know that Tony Khan is very receptive to the needs of his talent. If anyone needs support he gladly offers it. I respect that a lot.
When TKO eventually sells WWE, we all know Tony Khan would love to make it his crown jewel property. Who else has the money and market interest to over pay for WWE but TK?
It’s too hard to say. I would think that TKO, if they decide to sell, will want north of $10 billion. The question to me will where their TV deals stand at the time. That is where the lion’s share of their value comes from. I honestly can’t say right now who would be in the market to buy the company but I am not sure if Tony and Shad Khan would want to spend that much money on the company, especially when they already have AEW.
There was a good bit of talk online about WWE not calling Benjamin Satterly PAC and only referring to him as Neville to the WWE Universe. I guess it goes back to the old mentality if it didn't happen in WWE, it didn't happen. Some things are bigger than wrestling. They could have called him Benjamin "PAC" Satterly known in WWE as Neville. That would have been appropriate. I like how AEW acknowledged him as Neville in NXT and WWE and mentioned other promotions he worked for. Even with Vince gone, some things will never change. I think it was petty and in poor taste.
There are a lot of valid criticisms of things that WWE does where AEW is concerned. That is not one of them. The man’s name was Benjamin Satterly. He wrestled in WWE as Neville. I have no problem with WWE not mentioning any other names that he wrestled under.
