10/3 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision is live from the Truist Arena in Highland Heights, KY. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, and Nigel McGuinness.

Renee Paquette is with Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor Productions, and Kofi is with Austin Creed. Kofi says that Lee is one of the best up-and-comers, and Lee says he is the longest-running Ring of Honor Pure Champion, so Kofi has to prove something to him.

Kofi vs. Lee Moriarty w/Shane Taylor Productions

Austin Creed joins commentary. 

They lock up and move to arm bars. Lee forces them to the ropes for the break. They have words and then lock up with a Greco-Roman knuckle lock. Lee turns it into a straightjacket hold, and Kofi reverses it. Lee turns it into an octopus hold, and Kofi goes to the ropes for a break. They lock up again, and Kofi gets an arm drag to the floor but loses his grip. Lee goes to the floor anyway. Kofi then holds the ropes open for Lee.

Lee grabs the leg, and that sends Kofi to the mat. They run the ropes, and Lee tries for a monkey flip, and Kofi lands on his feet. Kofi gets a rollup for one. They run the ropes, and Lee gets a spiking DDT, and Kofi rolls to the floor. Kofi returns to the ring, and Lee gets a suplex as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Lee gets a clothesline in the corner after sending Kofi there. Lee then gets a big back body drop. Lee gets a series of blows in the corner and then runs Kofi into the other corner. Lee puts Kofi on top and joins him there, and they fight on top. Kofi takes Lee to the mat and follows up with a DDT. Kofi gets a series of lariats and then a big boot out of the corner. Kofi gets a moonsault from the top for two.

Lee goes for a triangle choke, and Kofi turns it into a pin for two. Kofi gets a springboard bulldog for two. Lee gets a belly-to-belly with a bridge for two. Kofi gets a leaping lariat and follows with a Boom drop. Kofi misses a spin kick, and Lee gets an airplane spin into the Motor City Stretch. Kofi gets to the ropes for the break. 

They grapple on the mat, and Kofi grabs a submission hold,d and Lee grabs the ropes. Kofi gets a small package for two. Kofi gets a rollup for two. Lee tries a forward roll for two. Kofi hits the spin kick for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kofi

We then get a video recap of the tribute to Benjamin Satterley, “Pac,” on Wednesday.

Nigel then gives his own tribute to Pac. Paul has his own words as well, and he sounded broken up. Next is a tribute from the Young Bucks.

We then get a hype video for Will Ospreay vs. Kazuchika Okada. 

Tony then announces that the title match at WrestleDream will be a Clockwork Carnage match, and it looks pretty complex. Mike Johnson posted all the stipulations in another story.

The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong) vs. The Already In The Ring: Griff Garrison and Soloroto (Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto) 

Storyline-wise, Roddy storms to the ring ahead of his teammates. Roddy is brutal when he is in the ring, and Cassidy also starts with a lot of steam. When Griff’s team is in charge, Solo uses the Macarena to mock Cassidy, but it doesn’t last long as Cassidy stops him with a stundog millionaire. Cassidy gets an orange punch on Colorado for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Conglomeration.

The Death Riders start their way to the ring as soon as the Conglomeration wins.

The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) w/Marina Shafir vs. The Bang Bang Gang (Ace Austin, Austin and Colton Gunn) w/Juice Robinson

We are told Jay White is injured and will be out for one to two months.

Yuta and Austin start the match by locking up, and Yuta gets a side headlock takeover, and Austin does the same. Austin plays to the crowd, and Yuta drops him for it. They run the ropes, and Austin nails Yuta and tags in Colton. The Gunns double team Yuta, and the Ace tags in. Yuta tags in Garcia and holds Ace for Ace to punch him. Ace gets an arm drag takedown, and Claudio gets into the ring, and Ace dropkicks him to the floor. 

Yuta and Ace fight through the ropes, and Ace is able to fight off all three members of the Death Riders. Ace puts Yuta and Garcia on his back, does some squats, and then Claudio clotheslines him as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Ace has been the babyface in peril, but he gets a tag to Colton, who runs wild. Austin tagged in, and the Gunns attacked Claudio, and it ended with Austin getting a two-count on Garcia, with Claudio breaking it up. Garlic and Colton are on top. Marin gets on the apron, and Claudio knocks Colton to the mat, and Garcia covers for two. 

Ace tags in, and each person clotheslines the last person in the ring. Eventually, all six men square off in the ring, and all six go down. Shafir gets in the ring and is met by Juice, but Gabe Kidd hits the ring and takes out Juice. Claudio tosses Yuta over the top rope onto the Gunns. Garcia gets a two-count on Ace. Ace gets an insigiri, but the Death Riders get the Forever Corner Charges with Shafir as well.

Yuta gets a Busiko knee, and Garcia locks on the dragon tamer, and Ace has to tap out.

Winners: The Death Riders.

In a pre-tape, Darby Allin says he is putting things in perspective. He said he thought Steven Borden’s career was over last Saturday. He says Borden said he is not quitting; he won’t stop. Darby said he wants to keep risking anything, so he will face Kyle Fletcher at Grand Slam Paris for the TNT Champions.

Myron Reed vs Dante Martin

They shake hands to start the match and lock up. They move to arm bars, and Dante gets a roll-up for two, and they rock back and forth with two counts and then one count. Dante ends it with a knee lift. Reed sweeps the legs for two and then a spinning leg drop for one. Dante tosses Reed to the floor. Reed tries to get back in, and Dante gets an axe handle to drop him to the floor. 

Dante rolls to the floor and leaps through the ropes around the turnbuckle into Reed. Dante gets a strike, and then he and Reed fight through the ropes. Reed gets a dropkick, and then a springboard dropkick as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, they are missing big moves until Reed gets an insigiri. Dante gets a low bridge on Reed and joins Reed on the floor. Reed is able to get a draping DDT from the apron to the floor. Reed rolls Dante into the ring and covers for two. They go to the top, and Dante gets a superplex. Reed gets a Stundog Millionaire. Dante dodges a charge from Reed and then dives onto Reed on the floor.

Reed is rolled into the ring, and they fight through the ropes. Dante blocks a cutter off the apron and gets a poisonrana. They return to the ring, and Dante gets an insigiri. Dante stalls on top and leaps into a cutter from Reed. Reed then goes to the top for a splash, the pin and the win.

Winner: Myron Reed

In the back, Thekla goes to Mercedes Mone’s locker room, knocks on the door and wants to talk to her. She keeps knocking face-to-face. Mone then attacks her from behind and leaves her lying there. 

Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) vs. the Already in the Ring: Emily Rose and Joyla Blake

Emily took a hell of a beating for 90 seconds of work before she got pinned.

Winners: Divine Dominion

Julie Hart passes them on her way to the ring for her match.

Julia Hart vs Queen Aminata

Hart holds out a hand for a handshake, and Aminata punches her out of the ring. Aminata chases her, and when Aminata gets into the ring, Hart picks the legs. They run the ropes, and Aminata grabs Hart, kicks her in the head and gets a snapmare before hitting Chocolate Kisses. Aminata gets a PK for two. Aminata gets a butterfly hold with her legs, forcing Hart’s head down in a hold that looks painful.

Hart rolls abc for a one count. Hart gets an arm drag, and Aminata gets a suplex. Hart slaps Aminata in the corner and then knocks Aminata down as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Hart gets Aminata in the tarantula on the ropes. Aminata gets a series of lariats and then a suplex. Aminata gets a running knee and then a double stomp for the top for two. Hart rolls to the floor, Aminata follows her, and runs her into the barricade. Aminata puts Hart in a chair at ringside, and Aminata comes off the apron with a dropkick. Hart is rolled into the ring, and she rolls out of the way of a double stomp. 

Hart gets a thrust kick, and both women are down. They get to their fight fighting, and Hart gets the octopus hold, and Aminata powers it into an air-raid crash for two. Hart gets Heartless, and Aminata rolls back, and they trade two counts. Hart gets the Heartless lock again, and Aminata gets to her feet. Hart gets a lung blower and a running knee in the corner. Aminata has Hart on her shoulder and hits a German suplex out of it. Aminata hits the headbutt for the pin and the win.

Winner: Queen Aminata.

In the back, Austin and Kofi are in the back, and they hype each other. They say they want more titles. Kofi says that he is in line for a match with Bandido at Grand Slam for the Ring of Honor World Title.

We get a hype video for Jack Perry vs. Samoa Joe. Joe then cuts a promo and says that he knows Jack Perry knows Joe is a hammer who will beat him into shape. Or maybe he is the anvil that brings steel to life. Joe says he isn’t either of those things; he is the fire, and it’s the thing you must respect. He will teach Jack that after he burns all the weakness away, there is enough left to make him a man.

Mark Davis vs. Adam Priest

Rocky Romero joins commentary.

Davis starts by just beating the tar out of Priest. Priest charges repeatedly into Davis and then steps on his foot. He charges at Davis again, who slams him. Davis goes for a senton, but Priest rolls out of the way. Priest gets a series of chops. And Davis slams him again. Davis chops Priest down. Davis goes for a power bomb, but Priest is able to get a slow hurricanrana to send Davis to the floor. Priest presses his advantage on the floor. 

Davis tosses Priest into the ring, and Priest gets a dragon screw through the ropes. Priest goes to the top and tries for a swinging DDT, and Davis tosses him off and hits a shotgun dropkick. Davis hits a senton for two as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Priest gets a front chop block and follows with a DDT from the top. Priest charges at Davis, and Davis tries a kick; Priest catches it and works the leg. Davis fights Priest off but misses an insigiri, and Priest gets a half crab. Davis powers out of the hold. Davis gets a roll-through suplex. Davis goes for a gutwrench, and Priest escapes and tries for a backslide but turns it into a small package for two. Davis gets a piledriver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Mark Davis. 

Renee is in the back with Queen Aminata and Mina Shirakawa. Aminata is told her wins may lead to a title shot. Aminata says she will face Thekla in France, where she will squash the Toxic Spider.

Jon Moxley (AEW Continental Champion) vs. Jake Doyle - Eliminator match

Mox goes for a waistlock, and Doyle backs him into the corner. Doyle shoves Mox into the corner, and Mox then grabs his arm and forces him to the mat. Mox traps one arm and then snaps the fingers of the other hand. Mox gets a side headlock takeover. Doyle sends Mox into the ropes, and when Mox tries for a shoulder tackle, Doyle knocks him down. Doyle sends Mox hard into the corner.

They run the ropes, and Mox gets the shoulder tackle this time. Doyle forces Mox into the corner and gets a series of shoulder thrusts. Doyle gets a splash in the corner. Mox dodges a charge from Doyle and then gets twenty in the corner. Doyle is able to knock Mox off the apron to the floor and poses for the crowd as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Doyle gets a running spear in the corner.  Doyle gets a charge into Mox and knocks him down to the floor. Mox gets back in the ring at 9. Doyle slaps Mox dismissively. They go head-to-head, and Mox starts throwing hands. Mox charges with a clothesline, but Doyle does the same, and Mox is dropped. They charge into each other, and neither man goes down. They throw hands, and Mox knocks Doyle to his knee after a kick to Doyle’s leg.

Mox gets a running clothesline and takes down Doyle, and both men are down. Mox gets a cutter, and Doyle goes to the floor. Mox dives into him. Mox rolls Doyle into the ring and sets for a piledriver, but Doyle makes it a back body drop. Doyle tries for a power bomb and can’t get it. Mox bites Doyle and hits the piledriver. Doyle is back to his feet and gets a huge blow on Mox and power bombs Mox for two. 

Mox slaps Doyle and flips him off. Mox grabs the rear naked choke, and Doyle has to tap out.

Winner: Jon Moxley
