Heritage Auctions announced:
WWE GOLD: Legendary Championship Belt Makes One-Day Stop in New York
WHAT: For one day only in New York, four legends of WWE history will be represented by one very famous piece of gold.
Heritage Auctions will showcase the 1985–89 Intercontinental Championship belt, the title once held by Tito Santana, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and The Honky Tonk Man, four stars whose careers helped define professional wrestling in the 1980s. Part of Heritage Auctions’ Fall Sports Catalog auction and valued at $300,000+, the belt was tied to one of WWE’s most coveted championships and remains a remarkable piece of wrestling history.
Wrestling fans and media will have a rare chance to see and photograph the championship belt in person for one day only before it heads to auction.
