What did you think of the AEW Tribute to Pac?
Every single person employed by AEW should feel infinite pride for that broadcast. It's been in my brain since it went off the air. Kudos to every single person there for a classy, amazing tribute that hopefully helped everyone grieving in the ways they needed. I just hope no one has to ever produce or perform on such a show ever again, although I know that hope can't be realistic.
There's been a lot of talk about Sheamus' deal finally being up. Where do you think he goes? TNA? AEW? New Japan?
I don't know. I think he's be a massive credit to anywhere he went. TNA could really use a new top name to work with everyone they have and he's a great brawler and talker. He could probably help them a ton. I think everyone assumes AEW is where he will land because they have the most to offer financially, but it all depends on what each side wants. I don't think New Japan would be the place he lands, at least not long-term. After 20 years with WWE, Sheamus deserves the chance to do whatever he wants and take his time in doing it.
What happened to Shawn Spears? His storyline with the Culling in NXT was abruptly dropped and he hasn't been used in 2 months. Is he injured or just not being used as a regular anymore?
He is still with NXT and assists with Coaching talents.
Do we know why Gia Miller missed the most recent TNA shows?
Miller stated she was under the weather. I would assume she is back at Bound for Glory.
In 2007, when TNA stopped using the NWA Title as it's World Championship, NWA brass said it was ending the relationship because "Christian refused to defend the title outside of TNA". (Even though he defended it one last time in May 2007 vs Sting & Kurt Angle and Kurt won the belt.) Was this excuse legitimate & Christian actually refused to defend the title outside TNA? Or did TNA not allow him contractually to wrestle outside TNA and thereby forbade him from fulfilling the NWA agreement? Or lastly, did the TNA/NWA title contract simply end (or wasn't renewed) and this was a kayfabe way to explain stripping the title out of TNA storylines and into NWA exclusive control?
The NWA pulled the rights as they were unhappy with TNA at the time. It had zero to do with Christian. The NWA had given TNA the rights to the title in 2002. In 2007, they decided they wanted the rights to their title back. It had zero to do with who was holding the belt. It was an issue between the two companies.
