X-Division Championship Qualifying Match for Bound for Glory: BDE with Rich Swann vs. Mr. Elegance with The Elegance Brand
BDE was still feeling the effects of his neck being attacked last week.
The Concierge told San Antonio that hundreds battled against thousands at the Alamo and lost, because they are all losers, unlike Mr. Elegance.
Even though the show had been pre-taped, Impact had new commentary over the start of the match discussing the passing of Pac and sending their condolences. That was very classy.
Mr. Elegance attacks focused on the neck early on, including a German suplex. He scored several two counts. Elegance continued to control BDE, including a delayed suplex for another two count. BDE hit a Codebreaker and went for a dive but was attacked. Elegance kept working him over. BDE went for the Clip Cutter off the ropes but was caught. Elegance went for a move but BDE nailed a sunset flip and scored the pinfall.
Your winner, advancing to Bound for Glory, BDE!
Mr. Elegance was furious after, yelling at The Concierge.
Backstage, Jason Hotch was preparing for his match tonight. John Skyler came up to him and said, "Here we go again." Hotch wasn't happy Skyler didn't leave Order 4 with him but then did when Mila Moore was insulted by Mustafa Ali. Skyler said he needed the job because it was all he had. He had no family to go home to, but now he found his person and he's happy now. He asks Hotch to be happy for him the way Skyler was happy for him when he found his wife. He said Mila will be in his corner tonght and they walked off.
Home Town Man was gifted Dude Wipes by their mascot. AJ Francis and Expressions showed up and told the mascot the only reason he was in TNA was because of Francis. Gee, thanks AJ. He shoved the mascot down and told him he better do his job and do it right. Home Town Man asked the mascot if he was going to take this. I don't know why we have to watch this, but that's me.
Zoey Serrano vs. Indi Hartwell
Xia Brookside joined the announcers. Hartwell and Serrano brawled around ringside before the bell,.including Indi being driven into the apron. Zoey tossed her in the ring but was caught with a clothesline while following. The bell rang and they battled. Zoey nailed a nasty looking head and arms Tazplex, then followed up with a knee strike. She rained down with right hands while Indi was down on the mat. Serrano kept drilling her. Indi fired back from underneath but was caught with a suplex again. Zoey talked trash and shoved her face to the mat. Indi came back with a big spinebuster.
Zoey was clotheslined over the top to the floor. Indi and Xia went face to face. Indi was shoved into the ring post by Zoey, then drilled her into the ring steps. Serrano attacked someone from security, just because she could. She grabbed a chair and attacked Indi with it. DQ City.
Your winner, Indi Hartwell by DQ.
Security filled the ring, forcing Zoey to back off.

Hotch nailed a big kick and a leaping forearm in the corner on Ali, then hit a springboard dropkick to take Zero down from the apron. Ali cut off Hotch and sent him up and over to the apron. He went for a back suplex but Hotch slipped out. Ali caught him with a clothesline for a two count. Zero mauled Hotch and drilled him face-first to the match. He nailed a big leaping legdrop for a two count. This is probably the best Zero has looked in the ring to date in TNA. He kicked Skyler off the apron and tagged in Ali.
Ali cinched in a sleeper on Hotch as the crowd tried to rally Hotch to escape. He almost did but Ali nailed a standing moonsault. Hotch battles back and nailed a big sit-out powerbomb for a two count. Skyler tagged in and battled Zero. He and Hotch went to the top but both were grabbed by the throat and pulled back to the ring. The Great Hands caught him with Total Elimination. They placed Zero on the top and attempted a double superplex. Zero fought them off, flipped into the ring and powerbombed BOTH into the ring for a two count. That came off awesome visually.
Ali kicked at Moore from the apron before tagging in. Hotch dove at Zero and they crashed over the top to the floor. Ali missed a 450 splash and was speared by Skyler for a close two count. He snapped Skyler into the ropes and locked on a Sharpshooter. Skyler submitted.

This was a HELL of a match.
Ali refused to break the submission. Hotch checked on Skyler when he finally did but was drilled with a big right by Zero. Ali wasn't happy Zero did it without being ordered to do it. Tasha Steelz ordered him to attack Skyler and Zero did. Ali yelled at Steelz that he was in charge and how dare she give any orders. Zero attacked Ali at Tasha's behest. Mila Moore checked on Skyler, so Tasha ordered Zero to attack Moore. He nailed a chokeslam on her. The crowd chanted TNA for this.
Four way at Bound for Glory, anyone?

Francis charged him but Moose moved. Francis stopped short killing the mascot. Moose hit him with a toilet seat, then speared Francis for the pin.
Your winner, Moose!
Well, TNA got their sponsorship dollars and Moose got to wipe the competition. I can't believe I just wrote that. Seriously, Francis is extremely underrated at this point as being a really strong big man's performer.
They aired a vignette where Allie and Kiera Hogan visited Rosemary, who was in a fenced in room and with a straightjacket. She questioned where Rosemary was and when she was coming back. Rosemary was all out of sorts and asked Allie where she was. Allie said she hears her but doesn't understand. Rosemary screamed SNAKES IN THE GRASS and to beware.
Leon Slater vs. Joe Alonzo
TNA Champion Nic Nemeth was at ringside.
Alonzo spent a long time cutting a promo and driving the live crowd nuts. He told Slater that if he wants to take away spots from Alonzo, now he's going to take away from Leon. He promised he wouldn't make it to the PPV. Slater wiped him out, hit the swanton 450 and scored the pin.
Your winner, Joe Alonzo!
Nic Nemeth tried to hit the ring but when Slater turned back around, Nemeth backed off. The announcers reminded us of the no-contact clause. Nemeth ran away. Slater grabbed the TNA and Tag Team title belts and played to the crowd.
They aired a video feature showing Frankie Kazarian training Avery Styles. He wanred Styles not to turn his back on anyone.
The Elegance Brand were cutting a promo when Elayna Black showed up. M congratulated her on getting a title shot but she now has to face her for the title. Elayna tried to stoke issues within the group, saying when she takes the title, perhaps Heather can step up for the brand. Black said she can't win without the Concierge and friends helping her, so M offered to defend the title with everyone else in the back. Elayna promised the era of Elayna begins next week. M told the others she can beat Elayna on her own.
Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander
They locked up, with Alexander immediately swiping Sosa’s legs out from under him. Sosa dodged a senton, but Alexander went after his eyes before catching him with a Codebreaker. Sosa fired back with a bridging slam, but Alexander escaped the cover. Sosa connected with a dropkick that sent Alexander crashing to the outside. Sosa followed him out, diving through the ropes and taking Alexander down. Alexander hit a suplex before driving Sosa into the corner with a splash. He followed with a slam to the mat and then tossed Sosa through the ropes to the floor. Alexander slid outside and chopped Sosa, but Sosa fought back. Alexander cut him off with a kick and sent him crashing into the steel steps.
Back inside the ring, Alexander tried to cover Sosa, but Sosa refused to stay down. Alexander attempted to wear him down, but Sosa fought back to his feet and hit a suplex of his own. Sosa followed with a neckbreaker out of the corner, but Alexander kicked out at two. Sosa attempted another suplex, but the two exchanged elbows instead. Alexander eventually hit a suplex, but Sosa remained alive, kicking out at two. Alexander went for the Lumbar Check, but Sosa blocked it and answered with a flurry of elbows. Alexander tried again, only for Sosa to catch him with a strike that sent him crashing to the mat. Sosa lined up Alexander for a headshot, but Bryan Myers and Bear Bonson came down to ringside with Alisha Edwards. Sosa dove onto all three of them, taking them out at ringside. However, Alisha climbed onto the apron to create a distraction, allowing Eddie Edwards to hit Sosa with a low blow. Alexander connected with the Lumbar Check and that was it.
Your winner, Cedric Alexander!
Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw came to the ring. They said sometimes a place is so rotten, it needs to be cut apart. No one is safe and no help is coming. If you walk through the doors, wear a TNA t-shirt or work in the back, you are on the chopping block. The Hardys are on the top of the chopping block. The crowd chanted for the Hardys. They built their reputation surviving things normal people would never survive and proving to everyone that you can't be killed. They tried and the Hardys survived, which is great, because they get to do it again. The Hardys wanted them last week and got them. Now, they know they are in the Hardy's minds. They spent their lives being extreme, so now they can see how hard it is to kill them. If Syk is what they are, then syk is what they'll be.
The Hardys came to the ring. Matt said they attacked people from behind for over a month, hiding in the shadows. Jeff said they keep trying to put them down but the Hardys are still standing. Last week, they invited them to put them down but they failed. They talk about all the things they survived - they did because they are unkillable and will not die. If they want to learn how hard it is to kill them, they can make it happen at Bound for Glory. Hardy challenged them to a No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere, Anything Goes now.
Jeff Hardy offered to give it to Texas tonight and they headed into the ring. The lights went out and Syk disappeared. The crowd chanted for the Hardys as they went off the air.
