AEW Producer Kevin Matthews took to his Facebook page to pay tribute to late Saved by The Bell star Dennis Haskins following the announcement of Haskins' death.
Matthews was a regular for Pro Wrestling Syndicate in New Jersey, where Haskins appeared in a takeoff of his SBTB character, Mr. Belding.
His Tribute:
"Thank you for all the good times we had in NJ & NY. As a lifelong wrestling fan, we were thrilled to be able to put you front and center in front of the wrestling world/
I remember you being the special enforcer for my match with Sami Callihan and that day teaching you how to do a Stunner, then watching you hit it later that night and seeing it make TMZ within hours.
I remember Pat, you and me doing a triple team powerbomb to Buster Jackson in Brooklyn.
I remember all of our late night phone conversations, all the stories, and you always coming by the club I worked at in NYC in 2014 just to hang out.
Even though we lost contact over the last handful of years, I’ll remember you very fondly, Dennis. You were a good man, and I’m grateful I got to know you.
You were a huge part of my childhood and a pretty damn cool part of my wrestling career.
Rest easy, my friend."
