Actor Dennis Haskins, who will be forever remembered as Mr. Belding, the principal of Bayside High for NBC's Saturday morning teen series Saved By The Bell, as well as its spin-offs and movies, passed away yesterday at 75 years old according to Deadline.com.
Haskins' agent Jay Schachter told the entertainment outlet, “It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis, loved him even more. He was a great person, and he loved, I mean absolutely LOVED his fans.”
Haskins was a massive pro wrestling fan who for a time served as the official Commissioner for now-defunct New Jersey promotion PWS. He also made WWE-related cameos for Zack Ryder's old YouTube series.
The Instagram account for Dimples Karaoke, which Haskins frequented, noted that he had been privately battling Parkinson's Disease for several years.
