Brandon Watts vs. Joey Conway
Watts has wrestled for Beyond, CZW and NYWC, among other promotions. This is his debut in Gotham Wrestling.
Conway was accompaned by The Backseat Boyz, Michael Mistretta and Vinnie Pacifico. What is this, Raven's nest? The crowd chanted for Watts at the onset. Conway was caught with a head scissor takedown and a dropkick early. Mistretta climbed on the apron, distracting the referee and Watts, allowing Conway to attack from behind. Conway nailed a suplex for a two count. He stalked Watts and snapmared him, but Watts ducked a kick and fired back with right hands. He took down Conway with a back elbow.
Watts avoided a charge in rhe corner and hot some nice offensive maneuvers. The Backseat Boyz distracted the referee as Watts went to climb the ropes. He was shoved down and attacked by Conway. Conway worked over Watts and scored the pin.
Your winner, Joey Conway.
Good opener. I believe this was just for the live house. Gotham should bring in Watts regularly as he's very good. Conway played a good heel here.
They are starting to tape TV now. Episode One:
Cold Blooded Canadians, BRG & D-Man Dan Parker vs. The Hooligans, Colton Jaws & GKM
The Canadians jawjacked with the fans and worked over GKM early but he came back with some nice looking offense, including a dropkick and a Stinger splash. Jaws taggged in and took control, hitting a delayed suplex on BRG that the live crowd loved. The crowd got into yelling along with the Hooligans. GKM was cut off and The Canadians tagged in and out, each taking turns slamming him. The Canadians sang the Canadian national anthem, which led to a USA chant. Jaws was able to make the tag and slammed the hell out of BRG and Parker over and over. He went to clothesline them over the top but they ducked and he crashed to the outside on the apron. They celebrated, only to realize he was standing and returned to the ring with a double clothesline. The Hooligans doubleteamed BRG and scored the pin.

Good, short match. The Canadians played a great undercard team playing to the crowd and The Hooligans had a really nice athletic babyface act down pat. I can see them on someone's radar down the line for a larger company.
UWN TV Champion Ray Jaz came to the ring for a promo, being interviewed by Alyssa Marino. He said since he won the belt, he feels like a Paison Batman as he can show up and defend the belt anywhere the light shines for him. He said Jarrett Diaz is backstage whining that he didn't keep the title. He said there's nothing stopping his train from running the tracks. Jarrett Diaz came out and challenged him for the title. Jaz agreed to defend it but Leo Sparrow came out. He said that if anyone's going home with the title tonight, it's him. The crowd was all over him. He said he recently won $50K and a favor from Commissioner Guido, so he might cash in his title shot for tonight. He said no matter, he's going to embarass Jake Redondo. Jake came out and told him to keep his name out of his mouth and they started shoving each other and fighting as the referees tried to keep them apart on the stage. Meanwhile in the ring, Diaz and Jaz squared off but were told by Marino they had to clear the ring. Good segment to set things up.
Vinnie Pacifico vs. Love Doug
Doug got a nice reaction for escaping early armdrags and an elbow. He said he was going to put a ring on it and cinched in an armwringer, a hiptoss and an armbar. Pacifico cut him off, throwing him away during a bulldog attempt and stomped away at Doug. He measured and suplexed Doug for a two count. Pacifico cinched in a side chinlock. The crowd rallied Doug, who fought to his feet and battled back. Doug nailed some clotheslines and a flying forearm in the corner. He rebounded off the ropes with a lariat and scored the pin.
Your winner, Love Doug!
The Love Doug act got over with the live crowd. The ever hustling Pacifico was a good heel foil for him.
They filmed a show opening featuring Sickness for the Thickness cutting a promo for their upcoming bout against The Verdict.

Battle Royal to crown new Gotham Wrestling Commissioner.
Little Guido was the Commissioner but lost that title when he lost a match to Chris Dicksinson. I believe he is done here, at least for now, which sucks because Guido is awesome.
There was a big pop in the building when they announced this match was taking place.
Competing are Papadon, Dan Parker, BRG, Joey Conway, Vinnie Pacifico, Sean Wachtner, Michael Mistretta, Danny Cabral, Queens Gets the Money, Skillz Da Great, Keynote Kevin, Bam Sullivan, Brandon Watts, and more.
Giuseppe the Referee ripped off his striped shirt and joined the battle. That got a big pop. When he was eliminated, he put his shirt back and started to officiate from the outside. That was pretty funny.
It came down to Sebastian Amor and Queens Gets the Money. They double-teamed him but he came to throw them out. Amor celebrated but was knocked out of the ring by Keynote Kevin, who was hiding outside.
Keynote Kevin said the Commissioner sounds too middle class. He will re-title it as the Chief People Officer of Gotham Wrestling. The crowd booed that. He announced "next week" he will announce his GOTHAM initiative.
This was the end of episode one.
EPISODE TWO:
Nick Dos Santos vs. Baron
Dos Santos took him to the mat but was caught with a leaping knee and a slam for a near fall. Dos Santos caught him with a kick as he charged into the corner and dropped him to the mat. He cinched in a crossarm breaker for the submission.

Richard Holliday vs. Rhys Maddox.
Maddox is from Indiana and has worked a lot of different places breaking in over the last year. A little kid in the crowd got so excited when they said he was from Indiana and was asking if that was true because he's from Indiana. Maddox's interaction with him was adorable.
Holliday controlled him early on and chopped him hard in the corner. He teased another chop when the crowd called for it, but then kicked him and said he'll do what he wants. Maddox came back with a dropkick and an armdrag. He charged but ate a big boot. Holliday drilled him over his knee for a two count. Holliday placed him in a Torture Rack position, then flipped him into a neckbreaker. The crowd was shocked when Maddox kicked out and then continued to kick out. He kicked away a Holliday charge and nailed a jawbreaker.
Maddox nailed a series of rights and came off the ropes with a forearm. Holliday didn't go down, but did after another. Maddox hit a Perfectplex for a two count. Maddox missed a lariat, was caught with a DDT and pinned.
Your winner, Richard Holliday!
Maddox did a great job playing the young, white meat babyface who put up a good fight. Holliday has a good conviction to everything he does.
Alyssa Marino was asked if he intended to challenge Ray Jaz for the UWN TV title as well. He said he's a star, the star and the guy. He said he's the most talked about star in the world. If he wants a championship match anywhere in the 50 States of the United States, he will just take it. No one is exempt.
Keynote Kevin came out for his GOTHAM Initiative speech. Lord help us all. He said he has made his first hire, the Director of Innovation, Mr. Jeffrey Hawthorne from Hawthorne Industries. Hawthorne looked like a young Joey Styles. He had a British accent. He claimed they had created the most advanced chatbot in the history of Mankind, his best friend, Chives. Sebastian Amor thankfully came out to end this dreck. He said they think they can come out and act all hot. They invited him to be an adult and come into the ring. They held the ropes open for him. He said he fought to become the Commissioner and Kevin did nothing. Kevin said he won. Amor said he wanted something, then in his best Joel Gertner, dropped to his knees asking for a job. They asked him what his best key performance indicators were. He said he could dance. Kevin started to knock him but Hawthorne said Chiva came out with an idea of innovation. He asked Amor how he felt about tangling with four men in the ring next week. He will be part of "five point scramble" and if he wins, they will think about bringing him aboard.
Papadon vs. Danny Cabral.
They locked up and Papadon took him down and told Cabral he's not in Papadon's league. He worked over Cabral's shoulder. Cabral reversed a move and took down Papadon. He charged but was sent up and over the ropes to the apron. He came off with a flying bodypress but was caught and slammed. Papadon ripped at Cabral's face and scored with a belly to back suplex for a two count. He rained down with elbows to the face and sternum. The crowd kept making noise as he screamed for silence. He locked in a side chinlock. The crowd rallied Cabral as Papadon told him the crowd didn't really care about him. Papadon was caught with several rollups but kicked out. They battled over a backslide, but Papadone kicked out of that and then a crucifix. He was caught with a leaping forearm. Cabral charged but was shot into the buckles. Papadon nailed the old Tully Blanchard slingshot suplex, then a brainbuster for the pin.

Scramble Match: Sebastian Amor vs. Patrick Fitzpatrick vs. Rhys Maddox vs. Bobby Casale vs. Jey Mesias.
Everyone battled at the same time in the ring. Casale controlled the ring, kicking out everyone else to the floor as he worked over Maddox. The crowd chanted a little for Maddox. He drilled Maddox with a series of shoulders but Maddox escaped a charge and nailed a nice leaping kick, scoring a two count. Casale drilled him face-first to the mat and screamed at him. They battled to the floor, where Amor hit a dive from the top on them. Tag partners Mesias and Fitzpatrick battled in the ring. Amor returned and was pinballed between them in the ring. Amor dropkicked them into each other and hit a takedown to pin Mesias.

Does this mean he gets his job from Keynote Kevin? I guess we will find out, or something.
After the match, Maddox crawled to the little kid from Indiana to hug him and talk to him at ringside. That's the sort of stuff that will make someone a fan for life. Good on Maddox.
Marti Belle & Nat Castle vs. Amity LaVey & Ava Everett.
Marti and Ava started. Ava wasn't too happy being teamed with Lavey. Everett was double-teamed in the corner by Belle and Castle. Castle took her to the mat and hit a kick to the face. She nailed a back senton splash for a two count. Everett tried to tag out but was pulled away. She finally did and LaVey screamed at Castle, startling her. This allowed Everett to snap her to the mat by her hair and LaVey pounced, working her over on the mat. Everett tagged in and LaVey wouldn't let her go, which distracted her long enough to be rolled up for a two count and then drilled with a kick to the chest. Castle was cut off and hit with an inverted DDT for a two count.
LaVey and Everett maintained control as the crowd chanted for Castle. Castle fought out of a submission and made the hot tag to Marti, who cleaned house. Marti drilled both with hip attacks and covered LaVey, who used the ropes to break the pinfall. LaVey bit her leg. Everett tagged herself in and threw LaVey to the outside, but was caught with a Facebuster and pinned.

The Verdict vs. The Sickness for the Thickness, Aaron Rourke & Andy Brown
This match will determine the top contenders for the UWN Tag Team Championships held by Thunder and Lightning.
They worked over Vinnie Scalise early. Brcye Donovan got involved but was slammed for his troubles. Rourke was nailed from the outside by Scalise, allowing Donovan to take over. Scalise nailed a slingshot senton into the ring and scored a two count. They continued to double-team Rourke. Andy Brown tried to get involved, but the referee admonished him. The referee's focus on that allowed The Verdict to keep working over Rourke. Rourke finally breaks free and scores the hot tag and Brown hits the ring wiping everyone out. The crowd was super into this.
Bryce went for a chokeslam but Brown battled him off. Scalise attacked, Brown battled them off and drilled Donovan for a two count. VSK made a blind tag and rolled up Brown for a two count but he kicked out. Thickness nailed stereo hip attacks and cannonballs in the corner. Rourke went to the top but Brown was shoved into him, knocking him off the ropes. The Verdict doubleteamed Brown for a two count,. Brown was chokeslammed hard by Donovan. Rourke got involved but was nailed with a knee strike. The crowd loved the action and chanted, "This is Gotham!"
Scalise went to use a weapon but The Hooligans ran out and pulled it away from him. Brown drilled Scalise and scored the pin.

Super entertaining tag bout.
Nick Dos Santos vs. MSG.
Dos Santos took him down and drilled him with punches on he mat, MSG battled back and they fought into the corner, nearly smashing the referee beneath them. Dos Santos choked MSG against the ropes and nailed a series o kicks. Dos Santos caught him in a sleeper and scissored the body in the center of the ring. MSG tried to fight out but submitted.

Dos Santos has shown more personality and has gotten better almost every show here.
Jake Redondo vs. Leo Sparrow
The crowd was all over Sparrow. Redondo started strong, including a dive to the outside. He ascended to the top but was caught and crotched when Sparrow hit the ropes. Sparrow worked him over in the corner and nailed a mule kick. Sparrow cinched in a side chinlock and argued with a kid at ringside, even threatening to beat up his mom. He nailed a top rope rana on Redondo. Sparrow hit a flying bodypress for a two count. Redondo mounted a comeback but was caught with an elbow as he charged. Undaunted, he snapped a superplex into the ring on Sparrow. The referee counted them down but they fought to their feet. Redondo went nuts with hot offense including a leaping kick to the head and a sit-out powerbomb for a close two count. Redondo nailed a bodypress for a two count and they went into a series of back and forth pinfall attempts. The referee got knocked over. Redondo had Sparrow pinned but no referee. Sparrow ripped kale in his face and argued with the referee, but was caught with a superkick and an inside cradle for the pin.

Sparrow attacked him after the bell and they brawled to the entrance stage. He nailed Redondo with a double underhook DDT on the stage. He placed Redondo on a table and splashed him through it, smashing the table. A number of officials made Sparrow finally leave.
LSG with Ava Everett vs. Lord Crewe
LSG tried to stall early to get a kiss from Everett. He wanted another, then another. Crewe had enough and pulled him away. He shoulderblocked LSG down hard. He grabbed an arm and executed an armwringer, but it didn't have much effect. Crewe broke free, LSG slapped him. Bad idea. He executed a Uranage over the knee for a two count. Crewe drove him across the chest with hard shots. LSG held onto the ropes to avoid a scary lookng kick. He snapped Crewe with a back elbow and a boot, then peppered him with jabs. He nailed a high cross bodyblock and followed up with a stunner. He nailed an Air Raid Crash for a two count. He went to the top and wanted another kiss for good luck. Everett climbed up but Amity LaVey returned and dragged her to the back kicking and screaming. LSG was stunned watching this, then finally went for his move, only to be hit with a spinning kick in mid-air and pinned.

Bam Sullivan & Love Doug & Buddy Tomas vs. The Backseat Boyz & Michael Mistretta with Joey Conway and Vinnie Pacifico
Tomas started out with JP Grayson, controlling him. Team Sullivan had fast tags in and out, working over the Backseat Boy. Sullivan was cut off and now he was the one eating the brunt of the beating as Joey Conway's men worked him over. Mistretta was caught and slammed. The Backseats dumped Sullivan to the floor and stomped him as the referee argued with his partners. The crowd chanted, "Bullsh**." Sullivan endures the beating and still keeps kicking out. He finally catches Mistretta with a spinebuster, clearing the way for a hot tag to Love Doug. He cleans house on both Backseats at the same time. Doug nailed a double noggin knocker. Tomas dives into the ring on them. The Backseats cut him off and use the T-Gimmick for the pin.

UWN TV Champion Ray Jaz vs. Jarrett Diaz.
The crowd chanted, "I Love Batman" at Jaz based on his comments earlier. They had some nice back and forth action before facing off. Jaz grabbed him in a side headlock and controlled Diaz on the mat. Diaz tried to escape but was caught and controlled. Joey Conway's crew came out in the crowd and watched from a booth. Diaz and Jaz battled to the floor. Diaz took control and focused his attack on the lower back. He snapped Jaz with some uppercut forearms in the corner and snapped him out. Diaz went to the top for a moonsault but Jaz pulled his knees up. Jaz nailed severla strikes and whipped Diaz into a dropkick for a two count. Diaz snapped on a chinlock but the crowd ralled Jaz to fight back. They collided in the ring and crashed to the mat as the referee counted them down on the mat. They battled to their feet with Jaz hitting a series of lariats and a back suplex for a two count.
Jaz mised a splash in the corner but kicked Diaz off. He went for a move off the ropes but was nailed and covered for a two count. Jaz went for an anklelock but Diaz rolled out. He went for a powerbomb but Jaz slipped out and nailed a German suplex. Jaz came off the ropes with a flying clothesline and tied up Diaz in the Jazmission for the submission.

Joey Conway and crew all stood at the railing watching Jaz. Jaz dared them to come to the ring. He walked past them and made his way to the back, also passing Papadon, who was scouting Jaz as well.
