Former TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich has signed with MLW, PWInsider.com has confirmed. We are told Slamovich signed with the promotion in early July and all along, the plan was to align her with CONTRA and place her into a program with Shotzi Blackheart, which began over the weekend at the MLW Fightland taping in Charleston, South Carolina. That will air in two weeks on MLW programming.
We have been asked if Masha was slotted into whatever the original plans were for Tessa Blanchard, who was originally announced as debuting over the weekend before that appearance was pulled (likely by CMLL, who Blanchard is signed to) but based on when Slamovich was signed, it appears that the Blanchard situation was completely independent. Whatever was planned for Tessa was separate from MLW's Masha plans. MLW did not respond to previous PWInsider.com queries about Blanchard.
