AEW Collision is live from the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, and Nigel McGuinness.
The show starts with a ten-bell salute for Andy “The Butcher” Williams. We then get remembrances from some of the wrestlers on the roster.
Jon Moxley (AEW Continental Champion) vs. Speedball Mike Bailey - Eliminator match
They lock up and move to a waist lock, then Bailey gets a side headlock takeover and goes to their feet. They lock up again and go hold-for-hold. They move to a Greco-Roman knuckle lock, and Bailey gets a single-leg takedown for one only. They go to the ropes, and Mox gets a hip toss for one, and moves to mat wrestling. Mox goes for Bailey’s fingers, bending them backward and then snaps them. Bailey throws chops and Mox fires back. Mox fires jabs at Bailey and then face-washes him in the corner. Bailey gets a tejaris and Mox rolls to the floor.
Bailey waits for Mox to get back into the ring. Mox gets a kick and a slam as they lock up, and Mox gets a one count. Mox ties Bailey’s legs and then grabs a crossface in addition to trapping the legs. Mox goes back to the hand before letting him go. In the corner, Bailey gets a big boot followed by a missile dropkick. Bailey gets a series of unanswered kicks. Bailey goes for a standing shooting star, and Mox rolls out of the way and rolls Bailey to the floor. They fight on the floor, and Bailey gets a series of kicks on Mox into the steel steps.
Bailey grabs a dragon screw on the floor and then hits a springboard tornado from the second rope to the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Mox gets a butterfly back suplex from the top. They throw hands back and forth, and Bailey tries to pick the leg. It doesn’t work, so Bailey starts kicking the leg before dropping Mox with a heel kick. Both men are down. When they get to their feet, Mox grabs a side headlock and gets an arm bar with knee lifts and strikes. Mox converts it into a rear chinlock. Bailey rolls backward for two.
Bailey gets a dragon screw and is followed by a backflip knee drop for two. Mox is able to get a leg scissor arm bar, trying for the Juji-Gatame. Bailey gets up and holds Mox down for two. They fight into the rope, and Mox plasters Bailey in the head. Bailey gets a dragon screw in the ropes, and then a backflip knee drop onto the apron. They go into the ring, and Bailey gets a back slide for two. Mox answers with a cutter and tries for the paradigm shift, but Bailey drops down to block it.
Mox rakes the eyes, backing Bailey into the corner. Bailey avoids a charge and hits a spin kick for two. Bailey hits a shooting star from the top for two. Mox grabs a knee bar. As Bailey reverses the pressure, Mox grabs the bottom rope. Mox hits a DDT and Bailey grabs him into a small package for two. Bailey gets a sunset flip for two. Mox hits a curb stomp and follows with a Death Rider for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jon Moxley
We get a promo from Nick Wayne, who says he knows a lot. He tells Jericho experience isn’t enough, and youth counts for a lot, and that is why Jericho is threatened by him. Nick says he is strong, handsome, and young. He tells Jericho that if Jericho knows so much, he invites Jericho to Dynamite Wednesday to show him a thing or two.
The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, and Myron Reed) vs. The Already In The Ring Aaron Solo, Nick Comorado, and Griff Garrison
The Rascalz get to show their multi-man moves and high-flying stuff until time runs out, and they pin Griff easily.
Winners: The Rascalz
We get more remembrances for Butcher.
Mercedes Mone comes to commentary.
Mina Shirakawa vs Queen Animata
They lock up and move quickly to headlocks and arm bars. Mina gets a side headlock on the mat and then escapes a clothesline from Aminata, who follows up with a pin for two. They lock up and then run the ropes. Aminata gets a shoulder tackle. They each say they love each other and then start throwing hands. Mina charges into an axe-handle chop from Aminata. Aminata gets a snapmare into chocolate kisses. Aminata covers for two.
Mina gets a spinning DDT off the second rope. Mina gets a tornado dive off the second rope for two. Aminata rolls to the floor, and Mina gets a cross body from the top as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Aminata gets a swinging neckbreaker. Aminata gets a clothesline, followed by a snap suplex. Aminata gets a running face wash and covers Mina for two. Mina gets a spinning backfist and then a glamorous driver for two. Mina hits a spinning kick, and Aminata gets a headbutt. Mina is able to stop a charge from Aminata by kicking her knee. Mina grabs an arm bar, and Aminata rolls forward for two. Mina gets the figure four, and when Aminata reverses, Mina reverses it back. Aminata gets her fingertips on the ropes for the break.
Mina goes for another figure four, but Aminata grabs her for a small package for the pin and the win.
Winner: Queen Aminata
In the back, the Dogs are talking with the Death Riders; the Dogs say no one should be stopping them when they have a weapon. Jon Moxley shows up and says he doesn’t need anyone, and he was in the wars when they were young boys in the Dojo. He says he will show kids like them what hard work can do. Mox says they can dog-walk the Bang Bang Gang or complain.
Jay White vs. The Already In The Ring Adam Priest
They trade arm bars, and White finally gets a headlock takeover. White grabs a headlock, and they run the ropes with White getting a pair of shoulder tackles and then a headlock takeover. They run the ropes, and Priest gets a dropkick. They trade blocks back and forth, and White grabs a DDT for two.
White gets a single-leg takedown and follows with the Indian Death Lock. Priest gets to the rope to break. They go back and forth with strikes and kicks, and Priest gets a dragon screw. White kicks his way free when Priest picks a leg. They throw hands again. Priest gets a running clothesline. White is put on top, and Priest knocks him away and gets a swinging neckbreaker for two.
Priest gets a series of blows and follows with a DDT for two. Priest gets a single-leg bar, and White rolls through into the Blade Runner for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jay White
White grabs the mic and gives a series of the Bang Bang Gang catchphrases.
The Bang Bang Gang (Austin and Colton Gunn, Juice Robinson, and Ace Austin) vs. The Dogs (Davus Finlay, Clark Connors, and Gabe Kidd) and Pac
Jon Moxley joins commentary, and Jay White has words with him before the match.
In the ring, everyone is brawling. Everyone on the Gang is sent to the floor, and Ace gets stomped down. Pac and Dogs get the Forever Charges into Ace until Ace starts dumping people over the top rope, and then the Gang gets the Forever Charges into Finlay in the corner. Ace then squats with Finlay on his back before hitting a Death Valley Driver as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Juice has been the babyface in peril. Juice gets a leg lariat on Pac, and both men are down until Juice crawls to the corner to tag in Austin, who runs wild. Colton joins him, and they double team their opponents. Colton is left and takes down the opponents. He hits a sidewalk slam on Connors for two. From there, everyone gets a big move on the last person in the ring. Juice ends it by giving everyone the Left Hand of God. Pac takes him out and then grabs Ace for Kidd to get a clothesline on him.
Everyone is lying on the mat, and Kidd is up first and runs his head into the turnbuckle. As everyone is starting to get up, they all start throwing hands. We then get dives. Connors takes the 3:10 to Yuma for two, broken up by Finlay. Connors gets a spear on Austin for the pin and the win after the Dogs, and Pac gets big moves on Austin.
Winners: The Dogs and Pac
This is followed by more remembrances of Butcher. Tony then reads a note from Butcher’s partner, Blade.
In the back, Tommaso Ciampa said he told us last week he needed to win a title. He says it is time he goes All Out and will see us in Chicago.
The New Level comes to the ring in street clothes to join commentary.
The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Black Christian, and Lee Johnson) vs. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong)
Lethal and Cassidy start, and Lethal forces them to the ropes. Lethal is kicked to the floor, and he drags Cassidy out of the ring with him. The two teams brawl for a short time on the floor until Cassidy and Lethal return to the ring. The Lethal Twist triple-teams Cassidy. Roddy gets into the ring and throws chops. Cassidy tags in Kyle, who double-teams Lethal as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy has been the babyface in peril through the break. Cassidy finds a way to hit the stundog millionaire on Lethal and tags in Kyle, who runs wild. Christian hits a super kick on Kyle, knocking him into Roddy, who uses Cassidy as a weapon. Lee holds Roddy for Christian to drop onto him, and Lethal does the same for two. Lee and Christian get a series of kicks to take Roddy down. Cassidy stands between them, and they give Cassidy superkicks; Roddy tosses Cassidy at them, and Cassidy gets a double clothesline. Roddy then uses Cassidy as a battering ram for double DDTs.
Cassidy dives into them and Lethal gets a rollup on Roddy for two. Roddy gets a sick kick and a backbreaker for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Conglomeration.
We are told Blood and Guts will be on November 4th.
We then get a promo from the Divine Dominion, who want revenge against the Brawling Birds.
The Butcher Battle Royal - The winner gets $100k to donate to their favorite charity.
Everyone starts brawling before they get into the ring. People start rolling into the ring one at a time and continue to brawl. AR Fox and Mortos have a series of moves against each other, and Mortos tosses Fox.
AR Fox is eliminated.
Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli go at it in the ring. Ortiz gets involved, and Claudio stomps him down. The Death Riders eliminate Ortiz with clotheslines.
Ortiz is eliminated
Wheeler Yuta is eliminated by Kingston.
Mortos is eliminated by Dante and Darius Martin as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Darius and Dante are working a series of double-team moves.
Jake Doyle is eliminated by Darius and Dante.
Dante is eliminated by Claudio.
Darius is eliminated by Lance Archer.
Archer and Claudio go at each other. They get quite a few big man moves, and Archer has to take the giant swing.
Archer is eliminated by Claudio.
Eddie and Claudio go back to fighting each other. Claudio gets the giant swing on Eddie. Eddie gets the low bridge on Claudio.
Claudio is eliminated by Eddie.
Claudio pulls Eddie out of the ring with him.
We are down to Daniel Garcia and Josh Alexander. They brawl, and Garcia gets a series of clotheslines on Josh, and Josh stops him with a German suplex. Josh gets a package piledriver. Josh tosses Garcia over the top, who holds on and doesn’t hit the floor. Josh throws hands through the ropes. Garica gets Josh and pulls him off the topa nd they brawl on the apron. Garcia gets a pair of kicks and rolls into the ring. Garcia hits a running dropkick on Josh
Josh Alexander is eliminated by Daniel Garcia
Winner: Daniel Garcia
Garcia is presented with Butcher’s guitar and grabs a sign from the crowd that reads “Rest In Peace Andy”
We get a video tribute to Butcher.
