Hey it's 9 PM Eastern and the show finally started. I don't want anyone to ever tell me this is the old WWE, because when did the left hand not know what the right one was doing this bad?
Corey Graves and JBL are on the call. Lilian Garcia is ring announcing.
They showed all the major players entering the arena or preparing for their match.
Copa Bardhal
Abismo Negro Jr. and Mr. Iguana started out. They basically have Royal Rumble rules. Iguana was spotlighted early with some fun athletic maneuvers to keep Negro Jr. at bay. Hysteria, Negro's partner, was #3 and attacked Iguana, double-teaming him and stomping away. Mascarita Sagrada was #4 and outclassed both members of Los Vipers. Negro accidentally nailed Hysteria. Iguana and Sagrada used Iguana's lizard as a weapon. Taurus was #5 and now all three members of Los Vipers controlled the ring.
They focused their attack in Iguana but Sagrada made the save. He faced off against all three and was speared by Taurus. All three stomped poor Sagrada. #6 was Fiscal, who came out in some Skeletor-themed gear. He cleaned house before facing off with Negro Jr. He dumped Negro to the floor and battled the remaining Los Vipers. He clotheslined them over the top and tried to force them to the floor. Negro hit the ring and dumped Fiscal out from behind and they battled to the back.
#7 was Laredo Kid.
He and Iguana battled back and forth with forearms and strikes.
Next out was MechaWolf. Laredo tried to toss him but Wolf rebounded and hit a twisting DDT. He battled with Iguana. Sagrada came off the top but Wolf caught him and slammed him atop of Iguana, scoring a two count.
Next out was AAA Latin American Champion La Parka. Mexico City went nuts for this. He nailed a cutter on Taurus and a tiltowhirl backbreaker on Hysteria. He eliminated Taurus, then hit Bonebreaker on Hysteria for the pin. Parka and Iguana faced off, then teamed against others in the ring.
Next out was El Mesias. Mesias and Mechwolf teamed up to work over Laredo Kid. Next out was Dinamico. Everyone battled. Mecha grabbed Dinamico, who countered with a swift springboard cutter. Mecha quickly recovered and blinded Dinamico with mist, setting up El Mesias to flatten him with a spear. Mecha and Mesias covered Dinamico in a double-stack pin to score the elimination.
Texano Jr. entered at #12, immediately slapping down both Laredo Kid and Mecha. He leveled them with a double powerslam before turning his attention to El Mesias, renewing their storied rivalry with a exchange of heavy right hands. Texano dropped Mesias with a leg sweep for a two-count just as the timer hit zero.
The 13th entrant, last year’s tournament winner Omos, stomped down the ramp. Action inside the ring ground to a halt as the competitors braced for the giant. Omos stepped over the top rope, and in classic action-movie fashion, the wrestlers rushed him one by one. El Sagrada stood alone, staring straight up at the giant's chest. Omos scooped Sagrada up for a slam, but the rest of the field swarmed again. Texano and Laredo fell first to Omos' massive strikes, followed by Mesias. Mecha tried his luck next, only to be planted with a chokeslam and pinned for three.
La Parka mounted a brief defense, but Omos leveled him with a clothesline over the top rope for another elimination. With only Mr. Iguana and Sagrada left in the ring, the #14 entrant made his entrance: Chris Carter, who didn't last long. Omos immediately grabbed him and tossed him over the top rope to the floor. See ya pal. The 15th and final entrant was two-time Copa winner Niño Hamburguesa. The big man went straight after Omos, backing the giant into the turnbuckle with heavy right hands before crushing him with a corner splash. Omos fought out of the corner and eliminated Mr. Iguana, but Sagrada seized the moment. Sagrada leaped onto Omos' head, throwing the giant off-balance and sending him spilling over the top rope. That was a sight to see. Omos managed to keep his feet from touching the arena floor. Pulling himself back into the ring, Omos eliminated Hamburguesa to secure his second consecutive victory in the Copa.

Very fun. Can't wait for that Omos vs. Sagrada singles bout.
They showed AAA stars meeting with children from the Boys and Girls Club of Mexico City.

AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer vs. La Catalina.
Catalina got a big reaction coming out and again for her ring introduction. Flammer came out alone. No Toxicas with her at first. She was in control early but when they went to the floor, Flammer grabbed her by the hair and slammed the challenger into the announcers' table and the ring steps. Back in the ring, she disrespectfully chopped Catalina and held her down on the mat. She scissored Catalina locked in a double chicken wing submission. Catalina fought her way out but was controlled. She tried to fight from underneath but was drilled with strikes and forearms. Flammer locked in a hanging front chancery, but was suplexed off.
Catalina fired back and dropkicked Flammer to the outside of the ring. Catalina knocked her to the floor with a hip attack, then speared the champion on the floor. Flammer sent her into the timekeeper's area but Catalina came off there with a bodypress to the floor. Flammer was tossed back in the ring and hit with a missile dropkick. Catalina and Flammer traded moves until Catalina nailed a Gori Bomb for a two count. Catalina scored a series of strikes and hit a big spear for a two count. Flammer trapped Catalia in the corner and booted her hard in the face, then hit a powerbomb for a close two count.
Flammer missed a swanton bomb. Catalina went for a splash off the top but Flammer tried to get her knees up, which made it look awkward. Catalina scored a two count. Flammer nailed a Codebreaker and massacred the challenger with a shotgun dropkick that sent her crashing to the floor. Flammer looked to the back and was calling for someone but they didn't come out. That allowed Catalina to slam her off the ropes into the ring and nail a series of kicks to the back of the head, follow up with a hip attack and nailed a running knee strike for the pin.
Your winner and new AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, La Catalina!
A hard fought back that unfortunately had that weird miscue towards the end.
Catalina celebrated in the ring and they blew up a lot of pyro.
It will be La Catalina vs. Roxanne Perez at Worlds Collide on 9/26.

Mexican Street Fight: El Carnicero vs. Psycho Clown
Carnicero began destroying ringside attendants. Clown began began caning him, but Carnicero grabbed the cane and snapped it over his knee. Carnicero missed a big boot and was dropkicked to the floor. Clown went for a dive but was nailed with a trash can. He brought another in the ring and began mauling Clown. He snapped Clown over the back with a chair several times. He placed the chair over Clown's chest and went for an Earthquake splash but Clown turned the chair sideways and Carnicero crotched himself. Clown now worked him over with the chair over and over. Clown pulled a table out from under the ring and brought it into the ring. He went to nail Carnicero with a chair but it was punched out of his hands. Clown was clotheslined to the mat. He tried to fight back. Carnicero missed a charge in the corner and smashed into a chair wedged in the corner. Carnicero nailed him and placed him on a table, then splash off the top through the table. Carnicero kicked out at the two count.
Clown ripped off his outer mask and psyched himself up. He grabbed a trash can but Carnicero kicked him down. Clown was tied up in the ropes. Carnicero went under the ring for a tool box and tossed it into the ring. He was about to use it when Pagano, to theme music, ran to the ring to protect his partner. He faced off with Carnicero, then backed off, allowing him to attack Clown with the tool box, then pin him.

Pagano and Carnicero faced off. He handed Carnicero a Singapore Cane and let him go to town, beating him over and over. Pagano and Carnicero stood tall over the beaten Clown.
They showed El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio preparing for their main event match.
Doran Roldan was with Dominik Mysterio and Omos. He asked Dom where his father was. He said no one should care. Dom asked Omos to stay in the back tonight.
They showed Octagon Jr. in the crowd wearing a neck brace.
They announced Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano will now be No DQ.
AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Jack Cartwheel.
Immediate chaos as Jack Cartwheel scrambled for a quick cover, only to be cut off. El Hijo del Vikingo swarmed Cartwheel, smoothly countering a sunset flip attempt from Nathan Frazer. Turning the momentum, Cartwheel planted Rey Fenix with a neckbreaker, swept Frazer’s legs, and executed his signature Slamstand. Cartwheel followed up with a rolling senton on Frazer, securing a fast two count. Frazer answered back instantly, catching Cartwheel with a slingblade and grounding Vikingo for another close two-count. Fenix dumped Frazer over the top rope to the floor, only to walk straight into a superkick from Vikingo. Taking full control, Vikingo cleared both Cartwheel and Frazer to the outside, executed a devastating Canadian Destroyer on Fenix for a near-fall, and capped the sequence with a high-flying tornado dive off the ring post onto all the competitors.
Vikingo positioned Fenix in the turnbuckle for a poisonrana, but Fenix fought out of the cover at two. Vikingo scaled the turnbuckle again, only to be halted by a stiff uppercut from Fenix. Cartwheel and Frazer attempted a double-team assault, but Fenix countered both with a double cutter. Dropping to the apron, Fenix blasted Vikingo with a kick to the face before wiping him out with a moonsault to the floor. Cartwheel caught Fenix with a kick upon re-entry, but Fenix flattened him with a slam. Frazer cut in, but Fenix leveled him with a aerial flip, earning a two count. Frazer surged back, wiping out Cartwheel and Vikingo before diving through the ropes onto Fenix. Rushing Fenix back inside, Frazer climbed to the top turnbuckle, where Fenix intercepted him and executed a brutal Super German Suplex.
Fenix charged forward into a superkick from Frazer, who couldn't seal the pin, getting only a two-count. Cartwheel darted in to steal the match with a rollup, but failed to secure the pinfall. Frazer dumped Cartwheel over the top rope and launched into a springboard dive, but both Vikingo and Cartwheel stepped aside, leaving Frazer to crash face-first into the announcers' table. Fenix scaled the ropes, but Cartwheel snatched him down with a powerbomb. Vikingo wiped out Cartwheel, climbed to the top, and executed a top-rope Crucifix Driver on Fenix. Cartwheel immediately spiked Vikingo with a Canadian Destroyer, scaled the turnbuckle, and hit a twisting splash on Fenix, only for Frazer to dive in and break the pin. All four men battled to their feet, trading heavy chops in a circular firing squad before escalating to simultaneous superkicks. A frantic barrage of strikes from every angle left all four competitors down in the middle of the ring.
Fenix trapped Cartwheel in the corner and planted him with the Mexican Muscle Buster, but Vikingo flew out of nowhere with a shooting star press to break the pin and secure a two-count of his own. Fenix shoved Vikingo into the corner and set up a Muscle Buster, but Frazer interjected, pulling both men down with a massive Tower of Doom spot, Cartwheel rushed back into the ring, rocking Frazer into the turnbuckles. Cartwheel then cartwheeled over the top rope onto Fenix and Vikingo on the floor, raced back up top, and landed the Jack’s Arrow on Frazer. Cartwheel went for the cover, but Frazer managed to kick out at the last fraction of a second. Vikingo surged in, taking to the sky to hit a twisting 450 splash on Cartwheel. Before Vikingo could recover, Fenix snatched him off the landing, drove him into the mat with a final Mexican Muscle Buster, and hooked the leg for the pin.

Los Perros Del May forced their music to be played and made their way to the ring. They hit the ring and attacked all the Cruiserweight bout competitors that had remained in the ring. They declared that God forgives, but they do not.
AAA Tag Team Champions The War Raiders vs. ?
The open challenge is answered by El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr & his brother Galeno.
The match opened with Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and Erik, with Wagner building up momentum off the ropes to drop Erik. Ivar tagged in, leading to a heavy exchange of punches in the center of the ring. Wagner tagged in Galeno del Mal, and the brothers double-teamed Ivar. Galeno went for a quick cover, but Ivar kicked out. Ivar rolled to the outside to regroup. Wagner kicked Erik off the apron, but Ivar snatched Wagner on the floor and whipped him into the steel barricade. Rolling Wagner back inside, Ivar went for a pinfall, but Wagner kicked out at two. Erik tagged in, and the War Raiders isolated Wagner near the ropes with a relentless beatdown. Erik darted across the ring to strike Galeno off the corner before trapping Wagner in a headlock. Wagner fought back to his feet, leading to both men colliding with a simultaneous double clothesline.
Galeno tagged in hot, cornering Ivar with a flurry of strikes. He scooped slammed Erik and crushed him with a splash off the ropes. Ivar cut off the momentum, dropping Galeno and scaling the turnbuckle to execute an impressive moonsault, securing a close two-count. Erik tagged back in, but Galeno turned the tables and reached Wagner for the tag. Wagner charged in, only to run straight into a heavy strike from Ivar for a nearfall. The War Raiders combined to execute a double powerbomb on Wagner, but Galeno rushed in just in time to break the pinfall attempt. Fired up, Galeno pulled down his straps and launched himself over the top rope, wiping out both Raiders on the floor. He rolled Erik back into the ring, where Wagner immediately planted him with a Wagner Driver. Galeno capped off the sequence, scaling the turnbuckle to hit a splash from the top rope. New Champs!

No DQ: AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
Big reaction for Americano coming out.
Americano hit a tope suicida early and slammed Dom into the announcers' table several times. He clotheslined Dom into the crowd and followed. They brawled amongst the people. They battled back into the ringside area, withD Dom sent into the ringside steps. Americano removed the top section and set up for a move but Dorian Roldan distracted him. That allowed Dom to sweep the leg and sent Americano crashing down on the steos. Dom worked him over on the floor and tossed Americano into the ring. Dom drilled Americano with a chair across the back, then drilled it down into his chest. Americano pulled himself up on the ropes but Dom smashed him over and over with the chair. The crowed is beyond into this live, easily the most sustained reaction of anything tonight.
They battled back and forth on the mat. Dom attacked with the chair again, smashing him over and over. He snatched a belt and lashed away on Americano. Americno fought back and clotheslined Dom, then rained down punches in the corner. He nailed a leaping enziguiri for a two count. Grande grabbed the belt and now it was Dom's turn to get lashed. He nailed a rolling senton for a close two count. He cinched a submission jusing the belt but Dorian distracted the referee. That allowed JD McDonagh to show up and headbutt Americano. Stunned, he went down in the ropes and was drilled with a 619. Americano kicked out at the last second. Los Americanos hit the ringside area and chased off JD before security separated them. Bravo Americano crawled atop the Titantron sign and dove down onto the pile.
Omos came out and attacked Los Americanos in the aisle. Grande Americano hit a dive to no effect and was thrown into the ring post. Omos attempted a chokeslam through the announcers' table but Americano ripped at his eye and then hit a low blow. He grabbed a chair and wailed away at him on the floor. Americano went to catch his breath. Omo charged him but Americano moved and Omo crashed through the barricade. He nailed the charging headbutt on Dom for a close two count.
Americano went to the top but Liv Morgan charged out and knocked him off. Dom nailed a 619 for a two count. They battled and Americano went for a leaping headbutt, but accidentally took out referee Eddie Orengo. He used to wrestle, so you'd think he could take a shot and keep going! But, alas, he was KO'd. Americano went to check on him but Liv Morgan grabbed the AAA Mega Championship and handed it to Dom. Dom struck him with the belt.
