IS KO A HEEL, WHO CHALLENGES PUNK, ARE THEY BLOWING IT WITH CHELSEA AND MORE

Are you watching All-In this weekend or any part of it?  If you are, is there a particular match you’re looking forward to or one that you feel will be a show stealer?

I really want to like AEW but it’s just not the style for me.  The booking just doesn’t grab me and I am someone who wants to be invested in the characters and also the reason why they are having a match.  I have seen almost every move at least 1000 times at this point of my life so the who and the why actually matters to me as much as the actual match and AEW isn’t written for a fan like me, and that’s fine, they should cater to people who like what they do.

The one match I am interested in is Omega vs. Ospreay since it should be a cool, crowning moment for Will.

After Smackdown last week, my comment was poor Giulia.  This week?  Poor Chelsea.

Yeah, I didn’t like her taking the pin again this week either.  She HAS to beat Nia, which seems to be where they are going.  If she doesn’t, they have totally blown it with her.  Also, I expect Tiffany to turn on her at some point if she does beat Jax and continues on with her Title run.

I know she’s injured and they are playing up that part of the of story, but this feels like Rey Mysterio in 2006 all over again.  It just seems when this gets done in the modern era, it puts heat on creative, not the wrestler.

The issue to me here is that they presented her as a comedy character before she got a shot at something more.  The, she won the belt by not falling off a ladder whenever the other ladies did.  I wanted to see her booked as being deserving after winning the belt and that hasn’t happened yet.  But, they can still save it with a win over Nia, and what they do after that.

The WWE title picture is pretty packed, but I can’t see any of them beating Punk right now.  Do you feel any of the people in his orbit will eventually win it, or with Punk being the top draw on the show and maybe even the whole company, do you see him going into WM as champion?

There is no way I take the belt off of Punk at this time as long as he is healthy.  Of the group that is going after him now, I could see Gunther beating him at some point.  Of course, once Cody and Randy finish their program, they could as well.  KO, Sami and Finn?  I don’t see them taking the gold from Punk.

I thought the KO/Orton interaction was strange.  The face/heel roles are reversed from their aborted program, but Orton still has a legit beef with Owens.  And now, not only is Owens still at odds with Punk, but he’s agreeing with Orton about Cody Rhodes.  So is Owens slotted in as a babyface or a tweezer?  This seems to me more of the HHH “shades of grey“ booking that had gotten really old for me.

Eps and I talked about this a lot on Saturday’s show.  KO came back as a huge face, and he should have since he overcame so much.  He didn’t use the belt when Sami gave it to him, but that was because he hated Punk so much that he wanted to beat him straight up to run it in his face, not be righteous.  And yep, the Orton thing was so weird.  KO still hated Cody, who is a true babyface.  He hates Punk, who is also a true babyface.  He wants to be pals with Randy, who has been a heel.  To me, KO is a heel but WWE has a lot of these kind of ambiguous characters and it’s really hurt their booking for me.
