LOVE PRO WRESTLING, ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA PARTNER FOR FIRST-TIME-EVER EVENT
Professional wrestling debuts at historic Art Gallery of Alberta in conjuction with Stampede Wrestling
EDMONTON, AB: Love Pro Wrestling and the Art Gallery of Alberta are proud to announce a first-of-its-kind event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 7th.
For the first time ever, professional wrestling will emanate from the historic Art Gallery of Alberta for LPW x AGA: The Joy of Grappling, combining high-octane in-ring action with a pair of Stampede Wrestling-related exhibitions, including a gallery featuring acclaimed Albertan artist Kim Parrent.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Art Gallery of Alberta on such a unique endeavour,” stated LPW founder and president, Spencer Love. “We’re privileged to bring professional wrestling to yet another of Edmonton’s flagship venues, but even more so, we’re incredibly excited to be included as part of the launch of the Ring A Ding Dong Dandy exhibition. Kim Parrent’s work speaks for itself, and we’re fortunate to be included in such a unique way.”
“I am so excited to be partnering with Love Pro Wrestling to bring wrestling into the Art Gallery of Alberta alongside the exhibition Kim Parrent: Ring A Ding Dong Dandy, on view from October 31, 2026 to January 24, 2027,” stated Lindsey Sharman, the curator at the Art Gallery of Alberta. “I know this will be a unique and exciting experience for both art lovers and wrestling lovers in Edmonton.”
Kim Parrent: Ring A Ding Dong Dandy is an exhibition that features painted portraits of many Stampede Wrestling stars. This exhibition will be on display at the Art Gallery of Alberta from October 31, 2026 – January 24, 2027. Additionally, Sports! The Art of Competing is currently on display at the Art Gallery of Alberta until January 3, 2027 and is built around a collection of photographs of Stampede Wrestling at the Victoria Pavilion in Calgary in the 1970s.
