Guarding Stars which will feature WWE Champion CM Punk among the cast, will premiere on Netflix for streaming on 11/18, Deadline.com reported.
The film is based on a novel titled The Bodyguard. It has been given a new title due to the famous Kevin Costner-Whitney Houston film of the same title.
The plot - "A no-nonsense bodyguard is assigned to protect a charming action star over the holidays, leading sparks to fly and secrets to unravel, with Christmas getting a whole lot more complicated."
Punk will portray Doghouse, a "physically intimidating member of the security detail, who is known for his loyalty and humor."
Punk did a voice recently for Disney's Zootopia 2 and has appeared in several other films and TV projects of late, including Syfy series Revival and the vampire film Night Patrol.
