Countdown to Lockdown
They showed The Nemeths and The Hardys entering the arena.
Hannifan and Rehwoldt talked about Lockdown returning for the first time in a decade. Rehwoldt said to have it happen in a historic venue in Chicago, the former UIC Pavilion, is very special. I would agree with that statement. It housed a number of NWA and WCW events as well as AWA Superclash III.
Chris Bey has created the official Lockdown theme song, Fade Away.
They went into a video package on Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali for the International title.
Jason Hotch's family will be in attendance.
Gia Miller was ringside to get fan opinions about the show. The fan cut a promo about Allie defending the Knockouts Tag Team titles alone.
The steel cage will lower at the start of the PPV.
The Righteous vs. BDE & Rich Swann
Vincent and Swann kicked things off. The Righteous stared at BDE as if Swann didn't exist. Vincent had control early until Swann used his speed and finesse to take down Vincent. BDE and Swann double-teamed Vincent. BDE scored a two count, then hit several dropkicks. Dutch blind tagged in and killed BDE with a clothesline as he was focused on Vincent. Dutch worked him over with hard right and tossed him into the buckles. The Righteous worked over BDE as Chicago chanted for him. Vincent hit an Implant DDT for a two count, then screamed at BDE that he was trying to help him and that Swann wanted nothing to do with him. The Righteous continued the double-team moves but BDE kicked out.
Dutch cinched in a side chinlock, grinding him down to the mat. Vincent tagged in and knocked Swann to the floor, leaving there no one for BDE to tag. BDE tried to fight back against both members of The Righteous and climbed to the corner but Vincent prevented it from happening. BDE drilled Vincent with a right and rolled him up. When Vincent kicked out, he sent BDE into his corner, where Swann scored the hot tag.
Swann cleaned house and nailed a handspring cutter on Vincent, then hit a dive on Dutch. Swann nailed a top rope frog splash for a close two count on Vincent. Dutch returned and nailed a spinning Bubba Slam on Swann. Vincent went for a pinfall but BDE came off with a frog splash to break it up. He nailed a double knee strike and a clip cutter for a two count. Dutch nailed BDE from behind, then took out Swann on the floor. BDE tried to fight off a two on one advantage but The Righteous hit Orange Sunshine for the pin.

Good opener. The Righteous play great characters and Swann has never looked better in the ring. BDE is getting better and the storyline of whether BDE will want to join The Righteous is good undercard soap opera.
The System cut a promo about tonight's Lethal Lockdown.
Daria Rae joined Tom and Matthew at ringside. She predicted The System will win tonight.
They aired a video package on Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater.
Candice Michelle joined the panel to discuss the Knockouts championship match. Michelle said they have some of the most impressive talents and when the cage comes down, they have to take their talents to the next level. They discussed the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tonight. Allie will have a mystery partner tonight.
Gia Miller interviewed a fan asking if Nic Nemeth had a chance to win the TNA Tag Team titles while holding the TNA title. The fan asked said there was no way and that the Hardys would win tonight.
Trey Miguel vs. Special Agent Zero.
Miguel had some great Spider-Man inspired gear.
Trey tried to use his speed and aerial ability early but Zero was unphased. He went for a powerbomb but they crashed over the ropes to the floor. Miguel went for a dive but was swatted down to the mat. Zero tossed him back into the ring and nailed a suplex. Some fans chanted for Trey but he ate another clothesline. He stalked Miguel, who ate another suplex. Miguel tried to fight back but was caught going for a high cross bodyblock and was slammed for a two count.
Zero set up and charged the corner but was nailed with an elbow. Miguel came off the top, nailing a Meteora. He nailed some chops and strikes. Zero fired back but was kicked to the floor. Miguel nailed a nice springboard dive to the floor. Zero cut him off and pressed and slammed him onto the outside of the ring apron. Zero missed a charge and was caught with a series of kicks.
Miguel went for a rana but was caught and sent into the buckles. Zero went for a chokebomb but was caught in a forward roll for the pin.

They did David vs. Goliath here with David getting the surprise win.
They aired a video package on The Knockouts Championship bout.
Indi Hartwell joined the panel. Daria wasn't happy about that. She said she didn't want to sign Indi again. Indi said that she knows Daria was in charge and that's why all the decisions around here suck. She said the only thing Daria is good at is stinking up the joint. Daria told her that strike one and she wasn't getting another warning. Daria walked off.
Behind the panel, they were lowering and setting up the cage, so they didn't push that as a big dramatic moment on the broadcast.
The panel then discussed the Escape the Cage match between Moose and Kazarian. They brought Ace Steel out to discuss the match. He said he was excited wrestling was back in this arena. When asked who would win the bout, Steel said he feels Kazarian has Moose's number tonight. They then discussed The Nemeths vs. The Hardys, which they said would main event tonight under Tornado rules. Steel said he excepts Ryan Nemeth will go splat a lot against the steel cage.

They opened the show playing the national anthem.
AJ Francis vs. Elijah
The cage is very close in style to the old WWF blue style cage. Francis took out Elijah with a leaping knee strike for a two count early. He went for the Down Payment chokeslam but Elijah escaped with a knee, then nailed a lariat. Elijah nailed a leaping forearm. He went to the ropes and walked them, then came off attacking the arm. Elijah nailed a stunner and scored a two count. Elijah came off the ropes and was caught and sent into the steel cage. Francis sent him into the steel cage again. Francis worked him over for some time but missed a splash into the cage, hitting the steel himself.
Elijah went to the top but Francis met him. They sent each other into the cage while standing on the top. Elijah went for a sunset flip off the cage and finally scored with a powerbomb. He covered Francis for a two count. They battled on the top. Elijah drove him down into the ring with a series of forearms, then hit a flying elbow off the top for a two count. Elijah climbed to the top of the cage. Francis followed. Elijah grabbed his arm and walked the top of the cage but Francis pulled him. Elijah fell and crotched himself atop of the cage. Francis climbed to the top and they sat atop of it battling back and forth with punches. Elijah got the better of the punches. Elijah went down to the top rope and superplexed Francis into the ring. Somehow, they was still just a two count.
Expressions came out in a wheelchair to ringside. Shoutout to Ron Wright baby. He began screaming at Elijah. That allowed to attack and slam him for a two count. He demanded the cage be opened and for some reason, the referee agreed, which made zero sense. Francis tried to walk out, which wouldn't be a finish, but was caught by Elijah and hit with an F5 for a two count. Elijah, who was now bleeding a little, went for the cage door for reasons I have no idea about, allowing Expressions to nail him with the cage door. Francis speared him but Elijah still kicked out. Expressions jumped up and revealed he was never hurt by protesting this.
Francis went for the Down Payment chokeslam but Elijah escaped to the ropes and hit a Destroyer. Expressions attacked him and broke up the pinfall. There was No DQ in the cage match they said. Elijah sent him into the cage and drilled Francis with a knee to the face while he was on the top. Expressions tried to escape the cage but was pulled back in and sent into the cage again. Elijah nailed the tombstone piledriver on Expressions but when he went down, Francis moonsaulted atop of him and hit the Down Payment chokeslam for the pin.

This was a lot of fun but with so much done and resulting in kickouts, good luck to everyone as a lot of finishes can no longer be used. If Francis isn't in the conversation for most improved talent over the last few years it would be really unfair to him. Elijah looked really good here as well and I'd be shocked if WWE wasn't looking to bring him back at some point.
Home Town Man came out and gave Elijah a guitar and he came off the ropes with an El Kabong on Francis.
Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt looked at the Lockdown PPV card.
Backstage, Allie said she made calls and found someone to stand with her tonight. Everyone will find out when the Elegance Brand does.
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Allie & ? vs. The Elegance Brand with The Concierge & Mr. Elegance
The Elegance Brand came out dressed as police officers.
Allie's mystery partner was the returning Kiera Hogan, who held the Knockouts belts with Tasha Steelz in the past.
Allie worked over Heather by Elegance before tagging in Hogan. Hogan nailed a neckbreaker. She and Allie tagged in and out, working over Heather. Mr. Elegance climbed the cage, distracting everyone and allowing Heather to use a nightstick on Allie. M and Heather worked over Allie for some time before she was able to tag Hogan. Hogan hit a fast series of offensive maneuvers, including a leap into a legdrop on M. Heather broke up the pinfall. Allie nailed a double knee strike to the face. M took out Allie. She and Hogan charged and took each other out.
With everyone down, The Concierge grabbed handcuffs but they were admonished by the referee. I thought this was No DQ due to the cage? Heather slipped through the bars to escape the cage, which was impressive, in order to get the cuffs. Allie met her but was handcuffed to the cage. M worked over Hogan and nailed a big suplex. For some reason, Heather couldn't get back into the cage. Allie slipped out of the cuffs, helped Hogan and scored the pin.

Carlos Silva, of course, entered the ring to present the belts to the champs.

Moose vs. Frankie Kazarian - Escape the Cage.
Moose had a classical music version of his theme played live by ATLYS and sat at a throne before heading to the ring. Kazarian disrespected the musicians and laid across the throne during his entrance.
Kaz tried to escape immediately but Moose kept preventing it. He drilled Kazarian across the back. Kaz tried to escape out the door but was pulled back in by his hair and sent into the cage. Moose whipped Kazarian again and again into the cage. He started to walk out but changed his mind and told the referee to close the cage. He rained down with punches in the corner. Moose missed a charge in the corner and was worked over. Moose came back and hit a double jump moonsault on Kazarian. The crowd chanted for Moose. He speared Kazarian and then repeated the feat.
Moose called for the cage to be open but Kazarian gave him the finger. Moose got upset and closed the cage. He charged Kazarian but was backdropped into the cage and corner. Kazarian worked him over, stomping Moose in the corner. Kazarian continued to work over Moose. Some fan was ripping on Kazarian, so Kaz said, "Your mother's a whore." He whipped Moose hard into the buckles and then hit a suplex. He drilled Moose with a hard right. He escaped a Sky High but was hit with a double underhook Angel's Wings on Moose, which looked impressive given Moose's size.
Kazarian began berating Moose, slapping him and saying it was his company. Moose psyched himself up as the fans chanted for him. Moose asked him if that was all he f***ing had, screamed, "F*** you" and headbutt Kazarian. He caught him with a big uranage and a senton back splash.
Today's card, all being held inside a steel cage, will feature:
*Lethal Lockdown: The System vs. KC Navarro & Ricky Sosa & Fabian Aichner & Jada Stone.
*TNA Champion Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth vs. TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys - Tornado Tag Team Rules.

*TNA X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater - If Slater does not win, his X-Division reign will be deleted from the record books. Last Man Standing Match.
*TNA International Champion Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali.
*Avery Styles to appear.
