Countdown to Lockdown
They showed The Nemeths and The Hardys entering the arena.
Hannifan and Rehwoldt talked about Lockdown returning for the first time in a decade. Rehwoldt said to have it happen in a historic venue in Chicago, the former UIC Pavilion, is very special. I would agree with that statement. It housed a number of NWA and WCW events as well as AWA Superclash III.
Chris Bey has created the official Lockdown theme song, Fade Away.
They went into a video package on Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali for the International title.
Jason Hotch's family will be in attendance.
Gia Miller was ringside to get fan opinions about the show. The fan cut a promo about Allie defending the Knockouts Tag Team titles alone.
The steel cage will lower at the start of the PPV.
Kevin Martin is handling the ring announcements. McKenzie Mitchell is not there, likely as she had Real American Freestyle duties this weekend in Cleveland.
The Righteous vs. BDE & Rich Swann
Vincent and Swann kicked things off. The Righteous stared at BDE as if Swann didn't exist. Vincent had control early until Swann used his speed and finesse to take down Vincent. BDE and Swann double-teamed Vincent. BDE scored a two count, then hit several dropkicks. Dutch blind tagged in and killed BDE with a clothesline as he was focused on Vincent. Dutch worked him over with hard right and tossed him into the buckles. The Righteous worked over BDE as Chicago chanted for him. Vincent hit an Implant DDT for a two count, then screamed at BDE that he was trying to help him and that Swann wanted nothing to do with him. The Righteous continued the double-team moves but BDE kicked out.
Dutch cinched in a side chinlock, grinding him down to the mat. Vincent tagged in and knocked Swann to the floor, leaving there no one for BDE to tag. BDE tried to fight back against both members of The Righteous and climbed to the corner but Vincent prevented it from happening. BDE drilled Vincent with a right and rolled him up. When Vincent kicked out, he sent BDE into his corner, where Swann scored the hot tag.
Swann cleaned house and nailed a handspring cutter on Vincent, then hit a dive on Dutch. Swann nailed a top rope frog splash for a close two count on Vincent. Dutch returned and nailed a spinning Bubba Slam on Swann. Vincent went for a pinfall but BDE came off with a frog splash to break it up. He nailed a double knee strike and a clip cutter for a two count. Dutch nailed BDE from behind, then took out Swann on the floor. BDE tried to fight off a two on one advantage but The Righteous hit Orange Sunshine for the pin.

Good opener. The Righteous play great characters and Swann has never looked better in the ring. BDE is getting better and the storyline of whether BDE will want to join The Righteous is good undercard soap opera.
The System cut a promo about tonight's Lethal Lockdown.
Daria Rae joined Tom and Matthew at ringside. She predicted The System will win tonight.
They aired a video package on Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater.
Candice Michelle joined the panel to discuss the Knockouts championship match. Michelle said they have some of the most impressive talents and when the cage comes down, they have to take their talents to the next level. They discussed the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tonight. Allie will have a mystery partner tonight.
Gia Miller interviewed a fan asking if Nic Nemeth had a chance to win the TNA Tag Team titles while holding the TNA title. The fan asked said there was no way and that the Hardys would win tonight.
Trey Miguel vs. Special Agent Zero.
Miguel had some great Spider-Man inspired gear.
Trey tried to use his speed and aerial ability early but Zero was unphased. He went for a powerbomb but they crashed over the ropes to the floor. Miguel went for a dive but was swatted down to the mat. Zero tossed him back into the ring and nailed a suplex. Some fans chanted for Trey but he ate another clothesline. He stalked Miguel, who ate another suplex. Miguel tried to fight back but was caught going for a high cross bodyblock and was slammed for a two count.
Zero set up and charged the corner but was nailed with an elbow. Miguel came off the top, nailing a Meteora. He nailed some chops and strikes. Zero fired back but was kicked to the floor. Miguel nailed a nice springboard dive to the floor. Zero cut him off and pressed and slammed him onto the outside of the ring apron. Zero missed a charge and was caught with a series of kicks.
Miguel went for a rana but was caught and sent into the buckles. Zero went for a chokebomb but was caught in a forward roll for the pin.

They did David vs. Goliath here with David getting the surprise win.
They aired a video package on The Knockouts Championship bout.
Indi Hartwell joined the panel. Daria wasn't happy about that. She said she didn't want to sign Indi again. Indi said that she knows Daria was in charge and that's why all the decisions around here suck. She said the only thing Daria is good at is stinking up the joint. Daria told her that strike one and she wasn't getting another warning. Daria walked off.
Behind the panel, they were lowering and setting up the cage, so they didn't push that as a big dramatic moment on the broadcast.
The panel then discussed the Escape the Cage match between Moose and Kazarian. They brought Ace Steel out to discuss the match. He said he was excited wrestling was back in this arena. When asked who would win the bout, Steel said he feels Kazarian has Moose's number tonight. They then discussed The Nemeths vs. The Hardys, which they said would main event tonight under Tornado rules. Steel said he excepts Ryan Nemeth will go splat a lot against the steel cage.

They opened the show playing the national anthem.
AJ Francis vs. Elijah
The cage is very close in style to the old WWF blue style cage. Francis took out Elijah with a leaping knee strike for a two count early. He went for the Down Payment chokeslam but Elijah escaped with a knee, then nailed a lariat. Elijah nailed a leaping forearm. He went to the ropes and walked them, then came off attacking the arm. Elijah nailed a stunner and scored a two count. Elijah came off the ropes and was caught and sent into the steel cage. Francis sent him into the steel cage again. Francis worked him over for some time but missed a splash into the cage, hitting the steel himself.
Elijah went to the top but Francis met him. They sent each other into the cage while standing on the top. Elijah went for a sunset flip off the cage and finally scored with a powerbomb. He covered Francis for a two count. They battled on the top. Elijah drove him down into the ring with a series of forearms, then hit a flying elbow off the top for a two count. Elijah climbed to the top of the cage. Francis followed. Elijah grabbed his arm and walked the top of the cage but Francis pulled him. Elijah fell and crotched himself atop of the cage. Francis climbed to the top and they sat atop of it battling back and forth with punches. Elijah got the better of the punches. Elijah went down to the top rope and superplexed Francis into the ring. Somehow, they was still just a two count.
Expressions came out in a wheelchair to ringside. Shoutout to Ron Wright baby. He began screaming at Elijah. That allowed to attack and slam him for a two count. He demanded the cage be opened and for some reason, the referee agreed, which made zero sense. Francis tried to walk out, which wouldn't be a finish, but was caught by Elijah and hit with an F5 for a two count. Elijah, who was now bleeding a little, went for the cage door for reasons I have no idea about, allowing Expressions to nail him with the cage door. Francis speared him but Elijah still kicked out. Expressions jumped up and revealed he was never hurt by protesting this.
Francis went for the Down Payment chokeslam but Elijah escaped to the ropes and hit a Destroyer. Expressions attacked him and broke up the pinfall. There was No DQ in the cage match they said. Elijah sent him into the cage and drilled Francis with a knee to the face while he was on the top. Expressions tried to escape the cage but was pulled back in and sent into the cage again. Elijah nailed the tombstone piledriver on Expressions but when he went down, Francis moonsaulted atop of him and hit the Down Payment chokeslam for the pin.

This was a lot of fun but with so much done and resulting in kickouts, good luck to everyone as a lot of finishes can no longer be used. If Francis isn't in the conversation for most improved talent over the last few years it would be really unfair to him. Elijah looked really good here as well and I'd be shocked if WWE wasn't looking to bring him back at some point.
Home Town Man came out and gave Elijah a guitar and he came off the ropes with an El Kabong on Francis.
Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt looked at the Lockdown PPV card.
Backstage, Allie said she made calls and found someone to stand with her tonight. Everyone will find out when the Elegance Brand does.
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Allie & ? vs. The Elegance Brand with The Concierge & Mr. Elegance
The Elegance Brand came out dressed as police officers.
Allie's mystery partner was the returning Kiera Hogan, who held the Knockouts belts with Tasha Steelz in the past.
Allie worked over Heather by Elegance before tagging in Hogan. Hogan nailed a neckbreaker. She and Allie tagged in and out, working over Heather. Mr. Elegance climbed the cage, distracting everyone and allowing Heather to use a nightstick on Allie. M and Heather worked over Allie for some time before she was able to tag Hogan. Hogan hit a fast series of offensive maneuvers, including a leap into a legdrop on M. Heather broke up the pinfall. Allie nailed a double knee strike to the face. M took out Allie. She and Hogan charged and took each other out.
With everyone down, The Concierge grabbed handcuffs but they were admonished by the referee. I thought this was No DQ due to the cage? Heather slipped through the bars to escape the cage, which was impressive, in order to get the cuffs. Allie met her but was handcuffed to the cage. M worked over Hogan and nailed a big suplex. For some reason, Heather couldn't get back into the cage. Allie slipped out of the cuffs, helped Hogan and scored the pin.

Carlos Silva, of course, entered the ring to present the belts to the champs.

Moose vs. Frankie Kazarian - Escape the Cage.
Moose had a classical music version of his theme played live by ATLYS and sat at a throne before heading to the ring. Kazarian disrespected the musicians and laid across the throne during his entrance.
Kaz tried to escape immediately but Moose kept preventing it. He drilled Kazarian across the back. Kaz tried to escape out the door but was pulled back in by his hair and sent into the cage. Moose whipped Kazarian again and again into the cage. He started to walk out but changed his mind and told the referee to close the cage. He rained down with punches in the corner. Moose missed a charge in the corner and was worked over. Moose came back and hit a double jump moonsault on Kazarian. The crowd chanted for Moose. He speared Kazarian and then repeated the feat.
Moose called for the cage to be open but Kazarian gave him the finger. Moose got upset and closed the cage. He charged Kazarian but was backdropped into the cage and corner. Kazarian worked him over, stomping Moose in the corner. Kazarian continued to work over Moose. Some fan was ripping on Kazarian, so Kaz said, "Your mother's a whore." He whipped Moose hard into the buckles and then hit a suplex. He drilled Moose with a hard right. He escaped a Sky High but was hit with a double underhook Angel's Wings on Moose, which looked impressive given Moose's size.
Kazarian began berating Moose, slapping him and saying it was his company. Moose psyched himself up as the fans chanted for him. Moose asked him if that was all he f***ing had, screamed, "F*** you" and headbutt Kazarian. He caught him with a big uranage and a senton back splash. They battled back and forth. Kazarian hit a spinning neckbreaker. He went for the springboard legdrop off the ropes but was caught and powerbombed into the cage. Moose went to follow up but Kaz hit a clothesline.
Kazarian tried to climb out of the cage but Moose followed him. Kaz raked at his eyes and went over the cage. Moose caught him and pulled him back in. Moose hit a Spanish Fly from the top of the cage. That looked awesome and brought the house down as they all leapt to their feet and chanted "TNA." The crowd chanted, "This is awesome." The referee opened the cage. Moose began to climb out but Kazarian dove and grabbed his leg. Moose tried to battle free but was eyepoked. Moose was pulled into the ring for a slingshot cutter. They continued to battle until Moose speared Kazarian several times. The last time Kazarian was sent backwards through the cage and crashed to the floor.

This was absolutely great.
Kazarian grabbed ribs after hitting the floor, but that may have been him selling. Moose also appeared to be really banged up after as well.
TNA Knockouts Champion Xia Brookside vs. Elayna Black.
Big pop for Black, who is from Chicago. They noted she has lots of family and friends in attendance, including her parents and grandmother. Xia called Chicago trash at the bell. They locked up and muscled each other around the rimg. Black knocked her to the ring and dared Xia to fight her. Brookside called her a b***ch, so Black slapped her and they started scrapping. Black nailed a shotgun dropkick. She followed up with a head scissors takedown. The crowd was super into Black here. Black nailed a running knee strike and followed up with another. On the third attempt. Xia ducked and shoved her over the ropes into the cage, with Black crashing down roughly.
Brookside dropkicked Black into the cage. She worked over Black and pulled a belt off her, then used the point to rip open Black's forehead. The crowd chanted, "You sick f***" so Brookside licked the belt. Black was bleeding from the forearm. Brookside was choked with the belt. She kept working over Black and ran with a leg lariat into the cage. Xia continued the attack on the bloody Black, who fired back after surviving several two counts. They showed Indi Hartwell watching from the back. Black made a comeback as they battled back and forth. She hit several clotheslines and a stomp across Xia's back. Black nailed a gutwrench suplex for a two count.
Xia nailed Dark Side but Black became the first person to kick out of it. Black drilled her with Blackout for a two count. Brookside tried to throw powder but Black ducked it and rolled her up. Xia kicked out, threw powder again, then rolled her up for the pin.

Chicago hated that finish.
TNA International Champion Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali.
They battled back and forth. Ali was sent into the cage and hit with a spinning DDT off the ropes for a two count. Ali battled back. They battled to the top where Hotch nailed a piledriver off the top, which looked insanely dangerous and then hit a sunset flip bomb for a two count. Ali ripped at his face and nailed a spinning DDT off the ropes for a two count. Special Agent Zero opened the cage but Tasha Steelz closed it and wouldn't let Ali leave. Mila Moore and Tasha argued and Tasha nailed her. The door got slammed opened on Steelz, who was taken out. Hotch went to the floor and checked on her with John Skyler. Skyler carried her to the back. Ali dove through the open cage door and drilled Hotch.
Ali and Hotch brawled on the floor. Hotch got the better of the exchange and placed Ali on a table. He climbed up the cage, looking to hit a move but Ali followed and they battled on the outside of the cage. Ali was knocked off to the floor. Hotch made his way to the top of the cage and dove off onto Ali, smashing him through the table below. It looked absolutely insane. Some fans chanted for Ali since he was from Chicago. Hotch came up bleeding from the mouth and was checked by the doctor and officials. They started carrying him out. Ali got in Hotch's family in first row and took a stuffed animal from Hotch's young daughter. He used it to taunt Hotch and told him if he wanted it, come and get it. He carried it into the cage, kicked and stomped it. Mila Moore gave him a lighter and he teased setting the toy on fire. Hotch hit the ring and attacked Ali. Ali got the better of it and tied him upside down in the cage. Ali pulled a belt off Hotch's tights and began whipping him. If any other talents have belts tonight, they are idiots for wearing them to the ring.
Ali continued to beat down Hotch and placed him on the top rope, then pushed him towards the top of the cage. Ali was kicked off and then hit with a double stomp from the cage. The crowd chanted for TNA. Ali kicked out at the last second. Hotch grabbed the stuffed animal to return it but turned into a spear from Ali. Ali hit a 450 splash off the top turnbuckle but Hotch kicked up at the last second. Ali nailed another 450 splash and scored the pin.

A very well down match with Hotch showing some great fire and Ali being a great heel. Lots more soap operate involving the Order 4 group leading towards Bound for Glory.
John Skyler had words with Ali before returning to help Hotch out. Hotch returned the toy to his daughter, kissed his wife and was helped to the back by Skyler.
Gia Miller interviewed AJ Styles' son Avery Styles. He came out to his father's logo wearing a TNA shirt and was billed as The Phenomenal Son. The crowd chanted for him. Miller said they were excited to have him there. Styles said his father wouldn't be who he is without TNA and how much TNA means to his family. Avery said he won't be able to become who he is without TNA and announced he has officially signed with TNA. Frankie Kazarian came out and said that as the king of TNA, he wants to be the first to welcome him aboard. He and AJ are like brothers. He said he, Samoa Joe, Chris Daniels and AJ poured their hearts into making TNA the place it is today. Kazarian said there's a lot of snakes in the locker room who will take him out because of his last name, but not Kazarian. He said there are people who can't be trusted but Avery can trust him.
TNA X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater - If Slater does not win, his X-Division reign will be deleted from the record books. Last Man Standing Match.
They battled back and forth in the ring, slugging it out. Cedric whipped Leon into the cage but Leon rebounded and drilled him, then followed up with a big boot to the face. He rained down with punches in the corner. Leon hit a rana off the top into the ring. He charged Cedric and nailed a Michinoku Driver. He chopped away at Slater and tried to send him into the cage. They battled, blocking each other from using the cage. Slater got the better of the exchange and used a big kick.
Slater scaled the cage and dove off with a back elbow. The referee began counting them both down on the mat. They made it up before the count of ten. Slater drilled Cedric in the corner. Cedric made a comeback and lawn darted Slater into the cage. He decared it was over. Slater made it to his feet but busted open, fell back to the mat. Cedric worked him over with chops in the corner and followed with big right hands. He nailed a big dropkick to the back. Slater battled back. They fought to the top rope. Alexander worked him over with right hands. Slater fired back with with rapid chops. Cedric caught him and nailed a Michinoku Driver off the top rope to the floor. Alexander went for a move but it was tossed into a Destroyer by Slater. Slater ran the champ into the cage over and over. The crowd chanted for Slater. He nailed a running boot to the face.
Slater kept beating on Alexander and pulled him into a spinning Torture Rack before slamming him to the mat. Slater went to the top for a swanton 450 but Alexander moved. Slater rolled through but was met with a kick to the head. They battled on the top rope in one of the corners. Alexander was nailed with a twisting superplex into the ring. Both competitors were down and fought to get to their feet. At nine, they grabbed each other and used the other to pull themselves to their feet. The crowd went back and forth with chants as they fought back and forth. Slater drilled the champ with a kick and nailed windmill kick to the back of the head. Slater nailed a Lumbar Check, Alexander's finisher, over and over.
Slater hit a 450 splash off the top. Alexander was counted down as he was unable to get to his feet.

Backstage, Daria Rae was complaining to someone about how she was spoken to by Indi Hartwell. She told them she would see them Thursday. She was told there was another attack and came across Santino Marella checking on a downed Elijah. She told Santino he was Director of Authority so it was his problem to deal with and walked off.
Lethal Lockdown: The System vs. KC Navarro & Ricky Sosa & Fabian Aichner & Jada Stone.
Bear Bronson was first out for The System. Fabian was first out for his team.
They battled in the cage. Aichner hit a Lou Thesz Press and worked Bear over. He nailed a back suplex on Bear. Bear followed with one of his own in response. Aichner speared Bear.
Brian Myers was next in for The System and they double-teamed Fabian before hitting a double suplex. KC Navarro was next out to even up the odds. He drilled Myers down and sent Bear into the cage. He helped Aichner up and everyone battled back and forth.
The third out was Eddie Edwards but Navarro attacked him on the floor and sent Edwards into the ring post. That allowed things to be event for some time. Edwards was busted open when he entered the ring. The System briefly had the advantage when Ricky Sosa hit the ring. He hit all sorts of big kicks and moves, including a cutter on Bear and a double-stomp on Edwards.
Fourth out for The System was Alisha Edwards. She went to slap Sosa, who blocked it. The System attacked Sosa from behind. The beat down the opposition. Myers held KC for Alisha to slep.
Next out for Team Sosa was Jada Stone. Bear Bronson stepped out of the cage to block her so she darted past him and scaled the cage. She dove off the top onto everyone.
The final entrant sparked the start of Lethal Lockdown as the roof came down. Bear outside began throwing other weapons into the cage. Everyone brawled. Trash cans, a barbfaced ed wire bat and chairs were all used as the plunder officially began. Stone nailed Alisha with a Singapore Cane. Eddie climbed the cage but was attacked by KC. He was sent down to the ring and KC splashed him for a two count. Alisha began doling out low blows. She kicked Favian low but was caned by Stone. Stone then attacked Edwards with it and drilled him with a superkick.
Stone dumped thumbtacks into the ring. She and Alisha battled to the top. Stone superplexed Edwards and they landed in the tacks. Stone seemed to take the brunt of it. Fabian smashed Eddie with a trash can over the head. Aichner hit a Van Terminator, drilling a trash can to Edwards' face. Bear Bronson began beating everyone with a barbed wire bat. He set up a barbed wire board in the corner. Bronson tried to powerslam Navarro into it but KC slipped out and superkicked him. Sosa charged and smashed Bear with a running back elbow, smashing him through the board and trapping him in the barbed wire.
Sosa hit the Blue Thunder Bang into the tacks on Myers, then pulled a spool of barbed wire off the roof. He wrapped it around his arm and smashed Myers with it for a two count. Alisha Edwards broke it up and blocked Sosa from seeing Edwards coming from behind with a Boston Knee Party. Edwards set up several chairs and hit a package piledriver onto them, scoring the pin on Sosa.

They plugged Bound for Glory on 10/11 in Tampa, Florida.
They pushed Konnan, Amazing Red and ODB being inducted into the TNA Hall at the PPV.
They pushed Destination X on 11/15.
They announced Jason Hotch & John Skyler vs. Mustafa Ali & Special Agent Zero for this Thursday's live Impact on AMC.
TNA Champion Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth vs. TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys - Tornado Tag Team Rules.
They battled with The Hardys having the early advantage. They double-teamed Ryan and scored a two count. Jeff sailed off Matt's back to nail Nic for a two count. The Nemeths took control as the crowd chanted for The Hardys. Nemeth hit Jeff with Danger Zone for a two count. Ryan stomped Jeff in the corner. Nick went to run Matt into the cage but was bit on the hand. The crowd chanted the Nemeths sucked. Nic set up a table in the corner. Matt battled back and went for the Twist of Fate on Ryan but he was fought off. Jeff nailed his own on Nic, but Nemeth bounced into the ropes and came back with a superkick on Jeff. The crowd chanted for TNA as all four were down and battling back to their feet.
Everyone battled. Ryan was run into the buckles over and over by Matt. Jeff sailed off Matt's back and drilled Nic. Matt hit him with The Side Effect. Jeff splashed Nic but Ryan broke up the pinfall. Hardy drilled Ryan with a neckbreaker but Nic broke it up. Matt ripped Nick across the cage. The Hardys set up a table. The crowd chanted they wanted tables. Matt Rehwoldt pointed out the fans already had one. Nic was placed on the table but Ryan lowblowed Matt. Jeaff went for the Twist of Fate on Nic but was superkicked by Nic.
The battle continued. Matt nailed The Side Effect on Nic but was attacked by Ryan. Ryan was hit with Twist of Fate and placed on the table. Jeff went to the top rope but changed his mind and went to the top of the cage. Nic attacked Matt and followed Jeff up the cage. He pulled Jeff down and they battled standing on the rope. Jeff was crotched. Matt went for a Twist fo Fate but Ryan rolled him up. Nemeth ate another Twist of Fate and was placed back on the table. Matt climbed up and came off the middle of the cage with an elbow through the table.
Nic drilled Matt with Danger Zone and scored the pin before Jeff, caught in the cage, could make the save.
Your winners and new TNA Tag Team Champions, Nic and Ryan Nemeth!
X-Division Champion Leon Slater came out and said he did everything he said he was going to do. His legacy in the X-Division is cemented, so at Bound for Glory, he is using Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA title. He said he will become the youngest TNA Champion in company history. He handed the belt to TNA President Carlos Silva. Nic Nemeth tried to attack him but was laid out.
