I was so happy when Kevin Owens was able to return. He got a huge babyface pop. So why are they booking him to be a whiny heel against CM Punk?
It’s yet another example of WWE creative dropping the ball. I agree, KO was massive over on his return. They should have run with that. He and Punk can have issues without KO coming across like a crybaby. He said that everyone in the locker thinks that Punk has changed except him. Uh Kev, that means you are the baby living in the past. A face would recognize that it’s a good thing when someone changes for the better. And holding a grudge over something that stupid for 20 years? That’s just ridiculous and sad.
Did we really need the allusion to AEW wrestlers from Kevin Owens? Is Vince Russo booking for WWE?
I hated that, for sure. I don’t mind “if you know, you know” stuff but that was soooooo inside that most of the fans had no idea what he was referring to. And since “everyone” in the locker room thinks Punk has changed, does that mean that KO has no friends in the locker room? No, Russo didn’t book it but I can see why you wondered if he did.
Who makes up the “press” at these WWE "press conferences"?
Whoever they choose to put in the room. Literally.
What's your take on Oba Femi declining his rightful SummerSlam “KOR world title opportunity” , choosing to finish off Brock Lesnar instead? Does this decision cheapen the importance of the world title - or the KOR tournament as a whole - as less important than resolving a personal rivalry?
As I said at the time, I loved it. Oba is so confident in his abilities that the Title will always be there. Brock Lesnar was at the end of his run so he had to be dealt with first. It doesn't cheapen the Title at all. It adds to Oba's aura.
If Kenny Omega, Adam Page, and the Young Bucks never jump to the WWE for one good or long run, does that hurt their overall legacy in professional wrestling? Wouldn’t such a jump make them bigger stars?
Legacies are defined by individuals. What I think is different than what you think. Going to WWE could enhance their legacy, if they are used well, or hurt it if they are not. Honestly, I think their legacies are better off staying way from WWE. I don’t have faith that they would be used to the degree that they are in AEW if they went there.
