CHELSEA’S PATH FORWARD, BOOKING INCONSISTENCIES, THAT LINE HURT AND MORE

1.  How do you feel about the title changes on Smackdown tonight?  I think Jacy Jane needed to win, but the MFT winning didn’t move me one way or another.

I think that if they were going to do the matches, Jayne and MFTs needed to win.  If you bring in Haku to whip them into shape and they lose, it’s a waste.  Priest and Truth don’t need the belts and maybe Priest goes single again.  They had Jacy on the right path when she debuted and then lost their way with her, so she needed to win.  If that means Tiffany is headed back to the main Title picture, with a story against Chelsea, I can see why did it.

2.  I guess the term “hotshotting“ might be a little dramatic, but does it feel like that to you?  Seems to be the way when TV is getting repetitive & stale.

It definitely has a hotshotting feel to me.  Two Title changes on one two hour TV show isn’t normal wrestling TV.

3.  I thought Gunther and Cardona having their match in street clothes was a nice, realistic touch.  Made it feel like a bit more of a fight.  Did you like the catering comment Gunther made about Cardona?  It was certainly a good insult, but do you find stuff like that a little too “ insider “?

It was a little stiff, for sure!  No one likes to be called a jabroni and that is what that line conveyed.

4.  I hated the 30 day deadline Aldis gave Chelsea;  They didn’t do it to Rhea and over on RAW it’s OK for Liv to go 100 days without a title defense while being perfectly healthy. I never thought I’d see that type of inconsistency from HHH given how hot the product was a couple of years ago.

I thought the same exact thing.  It was a prime example of how scattershot and lacking logic Triple H’s booking often is lately.  Chelsea made the most of it though.

In a vacuum do you see it as a decent storyline where she’ll be brought out every week (and not be ready to go) and she’ll be cleared at the 11th hour as they’re about to strip her of the title?  I don’t see them dragging it out for a month only to take the title off of her.  Needs to be a happy ending, right?

I hope it ends up with a happy ending, especially Nia said she got lucky to win it in the first place.  If you are going to have wrestlers tell us that a babyface is undeserving, you had better show us that the heels were wrong.  I hope that WWE gives her every chance to establish herself as viable and worthy.  The fans love her and WWE should make the most of that, not the least.
