It a sold out crowd in Ryogoku for Hiroyoshi Tenzan's final match.
1 - Taisei Nakahara, Masatora Yasuda, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Jakob Austin Young, Francesco Akira, Great O-Khan and HENARE
Akira pins Nakahara after a Fireball.
2 - Ryusuke Taguchi, El Desperado, Taichi and Konosuke Takeshita vs. SHO, DOUKI, SANADA and Ren Narita
Narita hits a low blow on Taguchi and follows with a Double Cross. Narita pins Taguchi.
After the match, House of Torture stomp on Takeshita. They call for someone to come out. House of Torture holds down Takeshita and out comes Shun Skywalker. He is a masked luchador from Dragongate. He cuts a promo on Takeshita, but Taichi and El Desperado come back to the ring with chairs. House of Torture scatters. Shun Skywalker is now a member of New Japan and House of Torture going forward.
3 - Daiki Nagai and Drilla Moloney vs. Wheeler Yuta and Gabe Kidd
Kidd hits a piledriver on Nagai and Yuta follows with a basement dropkick to the face. Yuta pins Nagai.
4 - Master Wato, YOH, Yuji Nagata, Toru Yano and Togi Makabe vs. Gedo, Taiji Ishimori, OSKAR, Yuto-Ice and Shingo Takagi
Yano hits a low blow on Yuto and OSKAR, and rolls up OSKAR for a cradle pin.
OSKAR was angry and chased Yano out of the ring and to the locker room. Makabe and Yuto started brawling in the ring and fought into the crowd and to the locker room.
5 - Tatsuya Matsumoto, Boltin Oleg and Aaron Wolf vs. Kosei Fujita, Hartley Jackson and Zack Sabre Jr.
Fujita forces Matsumoto to tap out to an arm submission.
Fujita has words with Wolf for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
They played a video of an AI version of Antonio Inoki.
G1 Climax 36 Semifinal Matches:
6 - Ryohei Oiwa vs. Callum Newman
Newman's back is still bruised from his battle with HENARE two nights ago. Newman's left shoulder is still heavily taped up. Oiwa comes to the ring with a Tenzan horns.
Both men start wrestling in the ring and quickly fight into the crowd. Oiwa is thrown into the chairs at ringside. Oiwa gets back to the ring and Newman hits Excalibur off the ring apron. Oiwa goes for his Headlock submission, but Newman escapes and gets to the ropes. Oiwa goes after Newman's left arm with attacks and wear-down holds. The trade suplexes then strikes. Oiwa applies a hammerlock submission. Newman fights out. Oiwa hits The Grip. Newman kicks out. Newman hits a low blow and goes for a cradle pin. Oiwa kicks out. Loud chants for Oiwa. Newman hits Prince's Curse. Oiwa kicks out. Oiwa grabs the Headlock Submission on Newman. Newman escapes and hits Kiss the Crown. Oiwa kicks out. Newman hits another Kiss The Crown. Newman goes for Make Way, but Oiwa goes for the Headlock Submission again. They trade reversals. Oiwa hits The Grip. Oiwa pins Newman.

7 - Yuya Uemura vs. Yota Tsuji
Good wrestling to start the match. They start trading strikes. Tsuji hit double stomp to Uemura's back off the top rope. Tsuji applies a Boston Crab. Uemura breaks the submission and he goes after Tsuji's arm. Uemura hits a back suplex and stuns Tsuji. Uemura goes for a Dragon Suplex, but Tsuji reverses out. More reversals. Uemura hits a Dragon Suplex. Two count. Tsuji hits a Falcon Arrow. Both men are exhausted. Tsuji hits a strike and Gene Blaster to Uemura's back. Tsuji applies the Boston Crab. Uemura escapes. Tsuji goes back to the Boston Crab but Uemura kicks Tsuji in the arm. He ties up Tsuji's arm in a hammerlock and his legs into a Sharp Shooter. Tsuji escapes. Uemura hits a High Fly Flow. Two count. Uemura goes to the top rope and Tsuji hits a Gene Blaster as he comes off the ropes. Two count. Tsuji hits a Guerrero Special from the top rope and hits another Gene Blaster. Uemura kicks out at two. Uemura blocks a Fire Blaster and hits a Deadbolt Suplex. Uemura hits a Shining Elbow. Uemura hits a Flying Body Press off the top rope. He hits another Deadbolt with a Bridge. Uemura pins Tsuji.
Yuya Uemura advances to the Finals of the G1 Climax 36 to face Ryohei Oiwa.
Both Uemura and Oiwa wrestled the best matches of their lives tonight. This is a great set up to an awesome G1 Climax Finals match. New Japan needs both of these men to lead the company into the future.
The legendary Masahiro Chono joins the Japanese commentary team.
8 - Hiroyoshi Tenzan Retirement match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Satoshi Kojima
Kojima came to the ring wearing a Tenzan T-shirt. Hiroyoshi Tenzan was very tentative as he made his way to the ring.
Tenzan demands that the 5 minute time limit of the match be thrown out. He wants no time limit. Hiroshi Tanahashi approves.
Tenzan hit a suplex and applied the Anaconda Vice. Kojima escaped and hit machine gun chops. Tenzan hits Mongolian Chops. Tenzan hits a back suplex. They trade chops. Kojima hits a Koji Cutter. Kojima hits a lariat. Tenzankicks out at two. Tenzan blocks a lariat and chops Kojima to the mat. Tenzan hits a headbutt. Kojima hits a lariat. Tenzan kicks out at one. Kojima hits another lariat. Kojima pins Tenzan.
Hiroyoshi Tenzan wrestled his final match.
Tenzan hugs Red Shoes Uno (the referee) and Kojima after the match. Takashi Iizuka's music plays. Out comes the wild man Iizuka. He stomps his way through the crowd. Tenzan invites him to come in the ring. Iizuka attacks Tenzan and pulls out the Iron Finger. Kojima saves Tenzan and hits a Koji Cutter on Iizuka.
Tenzan asks Kojima to leave the ring. Tenzan begs Iizuka to stand and face him. He wants them to be friends and their years long rivalry to be over. Tenzan offers his hand to Iizuka. Iizuka shakes his hand and they hug each other in the ring. The crowd cheers loudly. Tenzan thanks Iizuka. Iizuka attacks one of the ringside officials as he leaves.
Yuji Nagata's music plays and Nagata leads the entire locker room of wrestlers to the ring. Nagata and Kojima give Tenzan flowers and pose for photos. Hiroshi Tanahashi congratulates Tenzan.

Tenzan gets more flowers from his former opponents.
Jun Akiyama makes an appearance to congratulate Tenzan.
Hiroshi Hase comes to the ring to congratulate Tenzan.
Keiji Muto aka the Great Muta is next to congratulate Tenzan.
Riki Choshu makes his way to shake hands with Tenzan.
Tatsumi Fujinami is out next.
Masahiro Chono comes to the ring to congratulate Tenzan.
Chono and Choshu play around with Tenzan and Chono slaps Tenzan one last time. Chono speaks of the importance of what Tenzan has accomplished. Chono asked him to get himself treatment for his injuries. Chono showed all the legends in the ring and he said Tenzan can be one of them.
They all posed for a group photo.
Tenzan remains in the ring for his final words. He thanks the fans for coming. He said his in-ring career is over and he is retired. He said he ran away from the business because it was hard. But he came back, worked hard and he is here today. He thanks all the people who have helped him get here today.
They played a 10 bell ring salute to Hiroyoshi Tenzan, ending his career in the wrestling ring.
The New Japan roster came into the ring to pose for a group photo with Tenzan.
I remember first seeing Tenzan in WCW in the late 1990's. He was a wrestling machine and a tough man.
Congratulations to Hiroyoshi Tenzan. Thank you for what you have given to the fans. Please heal and get well soon.
