Spotlight Match: Leedz Lewis vs Jermaine Marbury
Leedz joins us from Paris again, displays the quickness against Marbury. We hit the five minute mark as he scoops Jermaine up for a sitout bomb for two! Without Benny at ringside, there’s no one to tell him to use his defense. Marbury hits the Kobe….Leedz with some quick roll ups but he gets caught in the ankle breaker juke and a cutter gets the three for Jermaine.
Match 1: Nick Battee & DJ Powers vs Bustah & the Brain (Alec Price & Jordan Oliver)
Jermaine Marbury is up at commentary after his Spotlight victory to watch the opener. Nick seems to think he’s welcoming some greenies into Cranston tonight. Let him be wrong. B&B roll over the Powers that Battee until poor distract-able Ref Scott gets <shock> distracted and Oliver gets isolated by an opportunistic DJ. They lay their s*** in but Price and Oliver ain’t going out to these chumps and their double Styles clash gets the three for Bustah & the Brain’s Cranston Open debut!
Price says they plan to stick around for a while and put Cranston on the map. Oliver reveals the return of the 2026 Von Erich Classic Trios Tournament. They want to get in on this…who would be their third be???
Match 2: Rain Conway vs Bobby Casale
Conway says that he’s gonna be Mirko Croconway tonight against the MMA standout in Casale. Rain mad dogs Bobby during his entrance. Does he WANT to die? He tries to get a handshake…one shooter to another? Of course that’s a trap….and then Casale turns it all around and murders him with a powerbomb and a Bobbinator. If Rain is a shooter, he was firing blanks tonight.
Match 3: Kylon King vs Eye Black Jack
King throws some chops that he thinks should cut Jack down. They don’t. Jack turns him inside out with a shoulder block and returns fire! Big slam, Jack splash….it almost gets the job done! Jack controls this until Kyle quickly snatches a handyman’s ddt and rains punches from above. Jack rallies but misses the top rope splash. Kylon with a dropkick to the back of the neck and the Kyledrive gets the three. Boooooooo!
Match 4: The Stetson Ranch(c) (Steven Stetson & Brian Morris) vs Shooter Boys (Aaron Ortiz & Anthony Vecchio) (for the Wrestling Open tag team championship)
The Shooter Boys are back! can they regain their Open tag titles in their return match??? Is Aaron Ortiz recovered enough to grab the gold? Can they END the Ranch??? They don’t even wait for the cowboys to make it to the ring, they just attack. The ranch is on the backpedal on the floor and Morris is thrown back in to start the match with a ridiculous beating. Stetson doesn’t fare much better when he tries his luck. Of course, it takes a double team blindside to get the advantage going on Ortiz. Aaron eats a LOT of damage but gets the tag to Vecchio to clean house! He sends Stetson to the floor but can’t get the three locked on Morris. They try the blockbuster…but Stetson cuts it off. Ortiz stops the Ranch and hits a high angle German for a razor thin two! The ranch hits the floor. Ortiz launches off of Vecchio and Ref Tigerms back to dive out at them! He may have hurt himself in the process. Morris escapes a northern lights from Vecchio…Morris with a rollup and Stetson holds the legs on the ropes to steal the three! Nooooooooo!
Match 5: Paris Van Dale (w/ Kylie Alexa) vs Liviyah
Kylie is here to reintroduce the ever-hateable PVD to Cranston. Paris, the Newport elite, says she’s here to take out the trash. Maybe she forgot the last time they fought for Open, when Liv took her out in a Lumberjack match. Liv just charges the ring and is ready to take a pound of flesh out of Paris for costing her the Women’s championship last week. Kylie has to cause a little distraction to get something going. Liv firing up with shoulder blocks. Paris tries to escape but eats a spear! Liv going for the finish and Kylie but hits the ring and attacks her! Kylie just pummels Liv. Paris holds her up for Alexa to deliver a belt shot….Shannon LaVangie is here to make the save! Shannon says she’s been waiting for the right moment to come back. And next week? Paris and Kylie can face Her and Liv!
It’s time for the Pick Your Partner tag match! Who will Dustin Waller & Ryan O’Neill pick? They come out individually, keeping the mystery to the end. They do a coin toss to determine who picks their partner first. Ryan calls it…Flash wins the flip. Waller PICKS…..Marcus Mathers. What?!? Mathers doesn’t seem too happy about teaming against his friend. Rich Palladino says this is how it is, according to the terms of the contract. So who does Ryan choose???? He seems disheartened…but then has a great idea. Former Wrestling Open Champ BOBBY ORLANDO! Marcus AND Dustin do not like this. Marcus had a LONG confusing feud with Bobby last year and he’s kind of miffed at O’Neill for this pick….but that doesn’t mean he’s on the same page as Waller.
Match 6: Dustin Waller & Marcus Mather vs Flyin Ryan O’Neill & Bobby Orlando
Waller looks to start…and instantly tags out when Ryan enters the ring. Good opening sequences from Mathers and Ryan…but Waller hates watching them move around and not hurt each other. Dustin gets his kicks in but just keeps yelling at Mathers, telling him to be a teammate and TRY TO WIN! Bobby comes in from behind and Mathers finally throw a bow and Waller celebrates by throwing himself into Mathers arms. Marcus clearly feels bad and tries to abandon Dustin. He’s ready to just let Waller get double teamed to death…It’s RYAN who gives Marcus flak about a lack of fighting spirit. a “ Maybe Dustin is right?” Sends Mathers into the ring and they fight for REAL. O’Neill with a swanton…Mathers breaks it up! He drags Waller back for the tag and gets in there with Orlando. Fast actions against our mom. Trading cutters! Bobby goes for the dab elbow. Waller crotches him in the top! “what are you waiting for?!?” Screams Dustin at a shocks Marcus. Mathers hits an AA. Flash with a splash. Orlando kicks out! Waller holds Bobby up and demands Mathers follow orders and put his lights out. Marcus can’t do it! Waller right in Mathers’ face. Marcus slaps him! This is the aggression Dustin wants! Marcus holds Bobby as Dustin goes for the lethal injection. Ryan trips up Dustin. Bobby with the roll up and he gets Marcus for the three! Mathers is shocked by the loss as Dustin just leaves him sitting there. Bobby and Ryan offer Mathers a hand up. He shoves Orlando down and walks out on O’Neill. He’s a thrill stares down Waller in the entryway. Mathers is maybe on his path to the dark side?
